Best old school country doctors in Miam-a.  The last of the few affordable, AND knowledgable vets around.  Been going there for 25 years, a dozen animals later, and they're still wonderful.  If you're not into high adventure and drama - the Ghetto Vet isn't for you.  But for everyone else, you'll fall in love.  Best to arrive 30 minutes before the door opens - cause it's first come, first serve.  A few of my friends make advance appointments - & they love that system.   (It used to be located on 79th st, thus the name: Ghetto Vet.  Now THAT was high adventure, long lines, and cheap prices.!)  They've relocated to a fancier neighborhood - probably because the building got condemned.  Be prepared to devote three hours to save several hundred $.  Avg price for a visit has been $125-$150.  (believe drs visits are free + lab work, and meds)  You can walk in and buy your flea medicine at the counter, with no wait.  They operate off of grant $, so be kind to the staff - they won't be around forever. I've been trying to make an appointment over the phone for three days now for my new cat. No one answered for the last two days. Today, someone answered, never responded and automatically put me on speaker phone mode. I'm hearing conversations for a good 15 minutes now. I'm still on speaker mode and hear all conversations with her customers. She was rude with one lady telling er to take her cats to her old VET. Go to any other Vet!  Your pet and your wallet wil be happier. I just moved my cat down from nyc and it was time for a check up so I gave Bild a try due to good reviews on yelp. It was not a good experience. The desk was rude. The vet and assistant were ok but hurried. The bill was higher than expected.The worse part was that they didn't carry the medication that I needed for my cat and I needed to order it myself through a pharmacy. Which was fine but I needed them to sign the order sheet. It took over a week to finally get the order signed by them. The pharmacy waited. My cat waited and ran out of his weekly dose in the meantime. I called everyday asking them to fax back the order to the pharmacy and the girl at the desk was incredibly rude to me. I wish I had gotten her name because she gave me so much attitude. She was mad at me because someone had moved my file and she couldn't find it. The best veterinarian care for your pet. I fell in love with the place when my baby got sick and started vomiting and wouldn't eat or drink, they gave him medicine, antibiotics, blood test and the vet visit was extraordinary. I only paid $92 in total, as medicines where included on the bill. The day before went to Banfield where they made him worst as he spent all night shivering and with upset stomach, charged me $790 and no medicine was given to me. Always willing to go the extra mile for your pets, willing to offer advice and information on alternative remidies that may help and ease any discomfort that your pet may or is going through and even when I had to make that dreaded decision to let my pet cross over they were so patient and really helped make the decision one that I did not regret. Horrible customer service. It took me over 20 attempts to actually get their phone to ring. I call them to get a copy of my medical records and I'm on hold for 30 mins and the lady tells me she can't find my records and that it must be under someone else's name. I insist that I went alone and she continues to insist that it's under someone else's name and that she can't help me. She tells me to find my receipt and then call her. I can't believe that they just treat people's records this poorly. I needed it to move with my dog to an apartment and she didn't cooperate at all. I had to take my Maltese for a strange infection of what I though was his tear duct. After a quick examination, it turned out there was a cavity WAY in the back and, long story short, the infection from that made it's way to his sinus cavity, and out through the skin under his eye...yeah, it was a sad scene. Within a week of taking his meds and having his dental procedure done, Einstein is back to loving life! Yes, there is a man there who loves on the dogs, but he's just a really tall sweetheart who genuinely loves being around the animals. I will gladly trust this hospital with my pets. For Miami, rates are ok. The vet is highly experienced and his treatment plan for my lab was on-point and effective. The staff however was rude and they tried to charge me 50 dollars more than what was actually owed. I calculated the cost myself and realized the staff made an error. I brought this up to her, and she was visibly embarrassed and acknowledged that the initial fee was indeed incorrect. It's funny how she responded, as she tried to act like she caught the error and kept saying "I don't want you to pay the wrong price so I made the adjustment..." She only made the adjustment because I called her out... When you get your bill here, double check it.Also there is a strange man in the back who cuddles and kisses your dog while the vet is examining him. It's super weird, and I had to tell the man to back off and not kiss my dog. He also nearly dropped my 70lb lab from the examining table...All in all, this vet is a seasoned vet, and he will get the job done. But watch out for the rude staff...and watch out for the man who tries to make out with your dog. Read Less

My mother found this place for the little magic man. He is a 9 lb poodle who had his knee pop out and couldn't walk for days. Bild clinic diagnosed and adjusted the knee back in place within minutes. Magic feels so much better. He gave us some anti-inflammatory meds and only spent 55 bucks! Awesome place for awesome pets and vets alike. My cat is dead, I took him to this horrible place and he was misdiagnosed, by the time I took him to a real vet, it was just too late. The woman in front desk is beyond rude, the vet does not even talk to you, and the place is dirty. If you love your pet, save yourself the heart ache, don't go to this place,I hope this review helps, and saves the life of at least one animal, if anyone reading this needs a good vet, go to Bayshore Vet Hospital, Dr. Crespo and her staff are amazing, knowledgeable and caring, they fought like hell to save my Ninja, wish I had known about her before, he would still be here with me had I not gone to Bild to try to save a little money. Best vet clinic in the area hands down. The entire staff is genuinely caring and pleasant. They're a tiny clinic operated by vets and staff who keep prices low. Provide all proper diagnostics and don't try to rob you with exaggerated claims. Keep in mind, since they are a small facility and focus more on getting your pets checked in & out, their clinic is not one of those with high-end interior decorations. And you MUST arrive as early as possible in order to be seen, since it is on a first come first serve basis, which i don't have any problems with. Read Less

My friend recommended this place when I needed to get my second cat neutered. Soooooo glad he did. These two doctors are the best. They are old school, no nonsense type of guys... Maybe a big reason the person who gave them a one star didn't like them so much. Their facility isn't that fancy either, but please do not  let that discourage you.When you first go, you have to wake up super early...I'd suggest 6am, try to be there at 6:30am and wait. Trust me on this.It's a long wait, bring a book. About an hour in a half.Once you register your animal, you won't have to do that ever again. Only if you have an emergency, and they will see your pet no matter what.The line gets long and you will have to remind people who was 1st, 2nd, etc... Hint, hint...If your dog / cat is getting neutered. Best price in town...You Get your animal back the same day...They have raised their prices a little, but not drastically. They've been around for along time, they deserve too. The office does need a makeover, but I really don't care about that as much as I do the doctors. And they have never let me down.If your animal is sick, they do a blood test right away.My cat one year came in one day and had a fever, his third eye was showing and he was barely moving... I went to the Pet Smart Hosipal Banns, brought my cat, a woman gave me a consultation on what she was going to do, X-rays, three blood test, etc... Gave me the quote 576.00 and left the room for me to decide,I thought really... I don't think so. I went to Pet Smart because it was closer. So I grab my cat, say no thanks and waited till the next day to bring him in.Well I didn't have an appointment and walked in at 8...They put us on the list, gave the doctor his symptoms, he immediately took a blood test... He didn't give me a speal on what he was going to do, X-rays and unnessesary BS. In 20 minutes I was out of there with antibiotics and my bill was only 65 bucks. Big Diffrence... And my cat survived...The doc also found a way for me to afford flea meds for three cats. Which is why they are my favorite vets Ever... Whoever said the assistant handles their animal the wrong way, I find that very hard to believe. The guy is a gentle giant... But hey, people do have bad days... I recommend this place to all my friends & neighbors... I've Been going to them for ten years, when need be. I usually get all the cats their flea meds from there because they also have the best prices in town. I will never go back here.  Yes it may be slightly less expensive than other places, but not worth the wait and they have no bedside manner.  I thought the office visit was $20, I called... but it was $30 and one woman said she had been going there for years and it was always $30.  So I got wrong information, but I can live with that.The vet was ok.  Nothing outstanding.  The vet tech however, was horrible.  My dog is only 13 pounds.  They muzzle the dog.  This is my first dog, so maybe this is normal, but I didn't think it was necessary.  The tech was way too rough with the handling of the dog (again, its just a small dog).  He was saying roughly, almost yelling, "Calm down dog"  not even nice or sweet, nothing soothing to the dog.   I didn't even want this guy touching my dog.  I almost just grabbed her and left.  But I waited 2 1/2 hours, so I just kept trying to push the guy out of the way, to hold her myself.I have no idea why this place is so busy.  Considering how busy it is, the girls at the front desk do a good job.  But really, just go somewhere else. After I moved off the Beach, I needed a new vet in my neighborhood. I found out about Bild Animal Hospital through one of my neighbors. Both of my cats use this vet. To be honest, they don't have the nicest facilities, but they are very affordable and really care about your pets. They also let you come in with your pets, so you know what is going on. You should definitely make an appointment, otherwise you are in for a long wait. On your first visit, you have to sit and wait, but after you are a regular patient there, the service is considerably quicker. Read Less
