Country Club Animal Hospital

Miami, Florida
General Info
Country Club Animal Hospital provides services to Miami and nearby Florida regions by structuring visits through behavior-as-dialogue which synchronizes animal comfort with family input and clinical procedures in real time. Examinations initiate through focused awareness rather than physical interaction. Staff observe micro-behaviors such as eye contact from animals along with their breathing patterns when hearing voices and their movements toward or away from motion. Care then unfolds in parts. The examination of skin coat and joints in pets depends on their anchoring leaning or stiffening movements. The emergence of trust signals initiates internal reviews for teeth, abdomen, and heart rhythm. Owners deliver contextual information by detailing alterations in daily patterns alongside new sounds that trigger pet reactions and shifts in walking or feeding schedules. Country Club Animal Hospital delivers a wide range of services including early-life exams and diagnostics as well as energy balance strategies alongside oral health planning complemented by age-related joint tracking and illness-specific mapping. Behavioral patterns dictate timeframes which exhibit variability. Certain appointments progress rapidly due to unmistakable consent indicators. Numerous phases unfold slowly in certain stretches which allow animals sufficient time to process each step. Pets needing recalibration before proceeding can access quiet areas and pause zones. The emphasis of post-visit care shifts towards the domestic interpretation process. Observe sleep patterns while reestablishing daily habits and identify silent signals such as family withdrawal, appetite loss, and territorial behavior. The tracking of timing alongside symptoms stands as a recommended practice for owners. At what time does restlessness emerge? At what time during the day do hesitations reach their maximum level? Country Club Animal Hospital assists Miami families and those in nearby Florida areas by treating pet behavior as a vital communication tool which animals display through everyday actions instead of during crises.

I've been taking my dog and cats to Dr. James Bogdansky for more than 26 years. Dr. Bogdansky watched how my kids and husband said our goodbyes to our Beagle and putting our cats to sleep because either they were run over by a car or died of old age. Through it all he's been patient, kind, thorough and very honest about what was the best option for our pet. Today he took care of my beautiful cat "Binx". He brought us in to personally show us where my cat's issues were on an x-ray. I mentioned that I had forgotten my glasses and he even went ahead and offered his own eye glasses. He made me laugh when I felt I was going to burst and cry. His words and caring way were very comforting and something that I cannot ever repay.  Thank you so much Dr. Bogdansky for choosing to be the best you could be for our babies that we entrust their lives to you. I have been visiting Country Club Animal Hospital since 2015.  Both Dr. Augsten and Dr. Bo have been absolutely wonderful with all my pets.  Dr. Augsten has time and time again provided excellent, informative, and nurturing services to me and my pets during well visits, and during the difficult times when my fur babies had to say goodbye to the world (he was so compassionate).  For those individuals who have stated that their prices are high...I used to pay more with pet medical insurance - high fees would be charged at the vet's office even after paying the monthly premiums.  I feel blessed that I found them.  And what an excellent staff too.  I HIGHLY recommend this place! Dr. James Bogdansky is heaven sent. I came to this clinic as an emergency, because I found a dog that had been recently hit by a car and left on the street alive, but left to die. I was in panic and had no idea what to do or where to go. I brought him here and they took care of me and the puppy right away. The staff was so nice, the office was very clean and even though I was in complete shock, they took such great care of the puppy. I had called at least 6 offices that were close by my house and NONE wanted to help me. I am very grateful for the service I received and for Dr. Bogdansky. Thank you Country Club Animal Hospital. My cat was sensitive to any touch and having issues peeing the morning before I was supposed to fly out for a 2 week trip, but they were able to immediately get me in for a walk-in appointment. We met Dr. Bogdanski a little over 2 years ago. We had an emergency with our rescue puppy, Luna. He was working the all night shift at the animal hospital and saved Lunas life. From the first time we met him, we knew our dogs were in excellent hands. He was caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. We switched Vets immediately, as we knew after that first meeting, our K9 family members would only be taken care of by him going forward. We now have 2 rescues and they are both under his care. He always answers our questions, and our dogs love him! Every one at the office is kind and they take great care of our dogs. We won't ever go to anyone else. After Dr. Bailey retired, new office staff were condescending, sarcastic, and unhelpful. They made a mistake on the boarding bill for my two beagles last May; they were contentious about admitting error. Prices have soared, office staff did not read my instructions when I boarded dogs, the doctor who replaced Bailey was officious and supercilious. While I always liked Dr. Augusten, the "new" environment places profit over training staff properly, or selecting psychologically sound and mature staff, to meet the needs of their canine customers' humans. I took my dogs to Country Club for fifteen years. I have since taken my senior beagles to a more humane vet's office. Read Less

I’m extremely dissatisfied with my dogs boarding at this vet. I had my two dogs stay here over New Years (December/January 2017). In summary: They give one price beforehand and will add other charges and do things like give extra shots your dog doesn’t need and add services without your consent, then of course charge you for it. Longer version: Called ahead and asked pricing for my dogs. Got the flat rate. Fine. Asked if there was extra charge for medication administration, they said no. One of my dogs needs two pills once a day at the moment. They said they just need proof of vaccinations, which i had everything just done in September 2017. They did mention that there was a mandatory sanitary bath required at the beginning of their stay for fleas and ticks prevention, which is $24. I told them my dogs just had a bath and they couldn’t get baths often because skin conditions. They said it’s at discretion of vet. Vet needs to see dogs before they’re dropped off. Day of, called again and confirmed pricing, gave same price, said no charge for medication administration. I show up and it took over an hour process. They never entered our info beforehand so they had to do it all while we’re there. Then waiting to see the doc. I asked about price AGAIN, gave me same price and said same thing about medication, no charge. Just to let them know what needs to be done. Perfect. Finally doctor sees my dogs. Approved of them not getting a bath because they’re clean and flea and tick free. He wrote it on each of their charts. I called a few days later for an update and they said they’re doing fine. When we go to pick them up, they said they had to give them baths anyways because they soiled themselves, $24/each. Didn’t advise us beforehand, not even a call. My dogs did NOT look like they were bathed at all. They had gunk on them and smelled like pee. Obviously if they were that bad, they must’ve not been taken out like they said they would. Then they said they charged for the medication administration, an additional $24... we explained that we were never told about it and they said they always charge. But no one EVER told us about this beforehand. Then they mention that they had to give them each a $10 corona vaccine and that they need to follow up in 2 weeks for the second round, another $10 each. Never did they tell us this vaccine was needed nor did they ask my permission to give them these vaccines. We gave them their records when we checked in and they said everything was fine. That really upset me. You could’ve at least called... that’s what the emergency contact is for. And it wasn’t an emergency procedure or something that they had to do to save their lives and didn’t have time to call... they were “preventative vaccines.” Overall, i ended up paying way more than budgeted for and i would’ve been better off taking them to the boarding i always take them to by my house and paid the $20/day, and it includes a free sanitary bath for any dogs staying more than 3 days. And my dogs smell amazing when i pick them up so it’s evident they’ve been bathed. Never again will i take them here. Very disappointing. Read Less

I wanted so badly to like this place after seeing all the great reviews, however after about giving them about 12 different chances, they've earned this review. Melissa at the front desk is wonderful and thats simply the only positive thing I have to say about this place. I initially started going here when I adopted a new rabbit and needed her spayed. There were numerous complications with the entire surgery experience from start to finish, won't bore you with details. I decided to give them another chance as I rescued a stray cat recently and needed to see a vet immediately and they were the only place open on Sundays.I'm understanding that emergencies happen and need to be attended to first, however the last three times I've come here, I've had a 1:00 appointment and waited an hour each time (often while sitting there listening to the staff just joking around in the back room). Upon Dr. Bo's arrival, not once has he acknowledged or apologized for the wait. He then proceeds to rush through our visit as if he has better things to do & as if we didn't wait an hour for his time. He was impatient, didn't directly answer our questions and would switch topics when his diagnoses required further explanation. He was dismissive and literally cut me off interrupting me mid-question on several different occasions. I also strongly dislike the fact that he takes my cat into the back to do even the simplest of tests. I've been to dozens of vets as I've lived in several locations and he is the only one who's taken my pets away from my sight to do things such as check their ears, run simple tests, give vaccines, etc. Why even bother having a table in the exam room if you don't do anything in front of the customer? Not cool at all. To add onto the issues, my cat had a lump on the side of her face that I wanted tested. He asked to call back in a few days for the results. I called three separate times throughout the week and never received a call back with the results of the test I paid $125 for. This was three weeks ago and I still don't know what's on my cat's face. My patience grew to the end today when I arrived for her last round of vaccines, and after waiting for 45 minutes after my appointment time, I heard him come in and apologize to the people in the room next to us saying he'd be in with them shortly. He never once came into my room to acknowledge how long I'd been waiting, so I left. She'll be getting her follow-up vaccines elsewhere. Lastly, they'll squeeze you for every unnecessary nickel and dime and come up with any excuse to charge you for the most ridiculous things. You've been warned. Not only do I own a large pet-related company in Miami with hundreds of clients to potentially refer to their business, but I own six pets of my own and am a very regular vet-visitor myself, so you'd think this man would be a little more appreciative of my business. I've never been made to feel so unappreciated than this place has made me feel over the last several months. I won't be returning and will make sure never to recommend to anyone. Read Less

I took my boston terrier to Country Club Animal Hospital on Bird Road in Miami, FL where he was treated by Dr Bailey. He was to have a routine dental procedure where he would be anesthetized. I was never warned of the possibility that anything could go wrong, never once advised that it was anything but a routine procedure. To make a long story short, my dog who we treat like a member of the family had a poor reaction to the procedure and never came out of it. We brought him home, but he had to return the the vet soon after because he was lethargic and would not eat. The vet kept him for a week and he slowly declined. When we lost our dog the vet had little to say except give us a huge bill for his services. The office seemed very uncaring to our situation and accepted no responsibility. I know we signed the waiver for the services to be performed but at no time were we informed that anything like this could or would happen. I am heartbroken and the vet just doesn't care. Please think about this if you choose to use this vet. I will never go back there again. Read Less

Country Club Animal Hospital

Miami, Florida
(45)

Read Less

The vets are amazing BUT there isn't a single competent person in the front desk. Very rude and unprofessional.

It's 5:30pm on a Tuesday, I am leaving to Colombia the following morning and my rover.com just did not work out to board our dog. PetSmart gave us every reason in the book how they could not take her in so as a last resort I yelped a Pet Hospital. My prayers were answered. Without missing a beat they took her in, updated her shots, bathed her and we returned a very happy camper. They took care of her extremely well at a bargain. Since then we have been back for her regular checkups and boarding.  The staff and the doctors are awesome. Top Notch!! Read Less

Listen there's not many places out there to get your bunny's nails trimmed unless you're paying a vet visit. It was so hard to find one, and I found this place. They offer nail trimming services even for rabbits and it's really affordable if your rabbit is docile. If not, the price is still worth it in my opinion. They were super quick and nice.

Read Less
