I love this animal hospital because of the group that works there and its always clean and smells good! The receptionist are the sweetest and very hardworking. If I have a question they always help me to get the answers and always go the extra mile for my pet. Getting an appointment is a breeze they really do try and work around your schedule. I wouldn’t trust any other doctor other than Dr.Guzman, he is so knowledgeable about his profession it’s always comforting to know he is my pets doctor. Some people comment saying he is curt but I don’t think doctors need to be kissing and hugging your pet to be good. He is exceptional. What he cares about is getting your pet healthy not cuddling. The techs are amazing as well, extremely knowledgeable and they always do their best to inform me on the results and prices and handle my pets with quality care. In any emergency I know I can trust them to treat my pets with care and compassion! These employees are what make this hospital the best. From the very first time I walked into Kendall Drive Animal Hospital my experience have been excellent. THE STAFF at the reception area are attentive and readily willing to help with any questions or concerns and take pride in their work. Always with a smile and available kindness. THE VETERINARY ASSISTANTS are professionals in their care, friendly, trustworthy and gentle with pets. DR GUZMAN is one of the finest Veterinarians I have ever met. His loyalty to animals as a veterinarian surgeon is unsurpassed and I am grateful for all he has done. His professionalism and the way he treats people speak volume. He has performed a number of serious surgery to two of my cats that were strays; tail amputation, bone fracture repair, hernia, and neuter. In the trans-course of my life, I’ve been to many animal clinics but I have to say Kendall Drive Animal Hospital is the best one of them all. The whole staff are extremely nice, friendly, professional, knows English, pleasant, easy to work with, and family/pet oriented. Every time you walk in they always have a smile on their faces and the urge to help you out with any matter. Dr.Guzman is very professional in what he does, has many years of experience in the veterinary industry, and his work is 100% trustworthy. The place is outstandingly clean and sanitized. I have been coming to Kendall Drive Animal Hospital for the last six years. Dr. Guzman is amazing and is really patient and gentle with the animals. The staff is warm and kind. My dog has been through a lot of health obstacles and they have been there to fix him up quickly every single time. If there was an option of no stars, that's what I would give Kendall Drive Animal Hospital. I took my dog to get groomed and instead they shaved his entire body. He walked in as a beautiful poodle and walked out as an ill looking dog, we did not recognize him. The groomer was too lazy to brush his hair and claimed he had too many knots and instead of cutting his hair, she shaved his entire body. I could have done that myself for zero dollars. But money is not my main concern, I my poor puppy looks horrible, it's so sad to see him. In addition, he was shaved so close to the skin he gas a rah, if he gets an infection, i will take action. I was so very hesitant to take my puppy here after reading the reviews. The place I purchased him from had a complementary first visit to KDAH. I figured I would go for the first visit and if I didn't like them I could always find a different vet. The vet answered all of my questions about vaccines, food, grooming. Vet is really nice and patient. We've been here three times for vaccines and plan on using KDAH in the future. (I purchased the puppy package includes all of his vaccines for $180 really good deal). Only giving four starts because some of the office attendants don't speak English other than that I don't have any complaints. Read Less

It's clear that this Animal hospital is the last option. There are so many other hospital'stay in the area. You can easily get the sense of what one can experience by reading all the negative reviews. I'm glad I didn't waste my time, 10 minutes on the phone with them...I knew it be a mistake on my end. Do NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE! My dog was vomiting, pooping blood and had a lost of appetite. I brought him to this animal clinic and they said he probably just swallowed something or was eating greasy food. The dog had a fever and was just down. They wanted to do blood work and X-rays. The total was $500. I only had 150 and told them to please help me out they sent him some antibiotics, and gave him iv fluid. They never suggested a parvo test. I left and at night time the dog was just pooping more blood and vomiting. I took him to ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY ON 27 ave. as soon as I walked in I told the front desk lady my problem she said keep the dog outside he might have the Parvovirus. They took the test in 2 seconds. It came out positive they kept him outside and gave him 2 shots of antibiotics and an anti nausea as well as iv fluids. All that just came out to about 130. They told me to go to a near by animal hospital open 24/7 on 63 and s Dixie hwy. I went there and the hospitalization fee was too high but they worked with me by giving him another antibiotic shot that lasts two weeks, and another one for his bone marrow. They supplied me with an iv fluid pack and needles and discovered he had pneumonia as well. Because they actually listened to his heart and lungs ! Unlike the Kendall drive clinc. I took him back the next day for another antibiotic shot and more iv fluids. My dog is getting somewhat better although the parvovirus is deadly and they give you a 50/50 chance the dog will make it or not, I refuse to give up on my dog! Kendall drive animal clinic is an unprofessional place. Letting a dog with parvovirus symptoms stay in the waiting room knowing how contagious this can be to other pups and dogs! They are IRRESPONSIBLE VETS AND VET TECHS. I then called to make a complaint and the lady took two days to call me back and when she did she said I denied the blood work. A parvo test is done by fecal. So I told her NO ! Your vet never suggested a parvo test he suggested an X-ray. She just said ok, like she seemed bothered and I hung up. Not worth fighting with dumb wanna be so called "professionals" I suggest you take your pet elsewhere! PLEASE DO YOUR PET THAT FAVOR! I'm praying my dog makes it. Read Less

DO NOT take your animal here! They are so crooked. My dog got shots in November and had a bad reaction, I literally thought he was dying. The refused to see him again and told me I had to go to an animal hospital. You would think they would at least see him! Then they won't send the doctor notes to my new vet. They've asked them to be faxed several times. NOW they called me saying he is due for shots as of MAY 20th. WTF?? He JUST had them in NOVEMBER!! They are crooked and don't do things right. TERRIBLE PEOPLE AND TERRIBLE SERVICE. I purchased a Groupon back in JANUARY. I was uncertain about the county restrictions so I scheduled an appointment with my dog in March. He was due until May so they blatantly refused to see him. I figured I would get something done so I left him there for a grooming appointment. I specifically asked that they shave him down (he is a shih tzu and needs proper time and maintenance to control his mane). I came to pick him up, they did not cut his nails, they did not shave him down and he still had gunk and "tears" clumped up on his face. He smelled great but that's about it. I waited out the appointment for May and now they will ONLY schedule 3 days of the week (god forbid those of us WHO WORK FOR A LIVING) and will not accommodate any other time frame than between 3-4 for Groupon purchasers. This happened from one day to the next and no one can reach a supervisor or is held responsible for this inconvenience. No morning availability, weekends by the way they "close" at 6, but there last appointment is at 4!!!!!!!! Their only additional "accommodation" is that for an EXTRA FEE they can keep him in a crate all day for "boarding" and do the appointment while you are at work. Needless to say I refunded my Groupon and will be taking both my dogs elsewhere. WHATS THE POINT OF BEING OPEN UNTIL 6, AND ON WEEKENDS IF YOUR NOT EVEN GOING TO PRETEND TO HELP ACCOMMODATE FOR YOUR CLIENTS WORK SCHEDULES. Read Less

I hardly ever take the moment to write a negative review. Well, unless I truly believe the people should know my experience before spending hard earned money. Long story short, THIS WAS THE WORST experience I've ever had at a vet. You can immediately tell when the vet walked in that all he saw was dollar signs in my 5 month year old puppy. He insisted giving him more rounds of vaccines although they were all completed. They were so rough with my new puppy that he is STILL frightened of strangers because of the way they treated him. Luckily I found Silver Bluff Animal Clinic, they were amazing, kind and conservative in their approach. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! It was horrible and I still regret it. I wish I can give zero stars but it's not an option. First off they will hit you with a lot of hidden fees just to jack up the price, or to make you come again. Honestly if I could give them 0 stars I will. My dog was suffering from a stomach problem. When I took him for his first visit I already felt as though they were robbing me but I stayed because it was my first puppy and I would've rather been safe than sorry. Anyways, the stomach issue happened to be that my dog ate an earring or something they couldn't identify. The vet immediately made me feel as though is were a life threatening incident. He said he would have to open himUp and "fish for something." Excuse my language but what the fuck?? Open a dog up and fish for something because of an ingested earring? Well I was quick to abide and I left him there. My mom wanted to check up on him before he went into surgery, they had him in a small cage he was covered in pee and shaking... And guess what the bill was $2,000 lol my mom immediately said no and we took him to another vet. $20 check up and they told me he'll poop it out which he did. Don't take your pet there... **DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL** A MUST READ FOR ANYONE LOOKING TO TAKE THEIR PET TO THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL. OBVIOUSLY THIS TECH & VET ARE NOT TOO INTELLIGENT. I had a little 13 yrs 11 month old Min Pin named Gidget that I took to this clinic on Monday, July 6th. The technician and Vet advised me that the reason my little girl wasn't eating was because she had severe gingivitis and that they could put her under to do deap cleaning. As clearly indicated on her chart, my little girl had a liver condition that she had since she was about 1 1/2 years old and because she was drinking much more water in the past 6 - 8 months then before I advised them between her liver and kidneys she would either not make it through the surgery or set her into immediate kidney failure. The Vet then advised that they could do "awake crack cleaning" where they break away the rotten teeth, which I refused to do to my little girl. I received medication which my little girl took as directed for 2 weeks. When I took my little girl to Healthy Smile for a gentle awake cleaning they advised that my little girl had beautiful teeth and showed me, but that they couldn't finish as she was too stressed. Needless to say, it is apparent that the Rx that my little girl took excellerated Kidney failure and my little girl passed away on Sunday, July 19th. Read Less

Very bad experience and I am for sure never going back, I recently rescued a kitten and I took him there for his first check up. My first impression when I arrived was that de place did not look clean at all, it was fealty and smelly. Minutes after when I go in the examination room it was even worst. The technician not even the doctor started evaluating the kitten and the way he performed the check up made me feel like he didn't even had a degree he knew what he was doing of course but didn't seem professional at all. Third I never saw the actual doctor only for like 10 minutes and he nearly speak to me or introduce him self he only look at the kitten and told me what was wrong and left 5 second after. Today a week after my kittens visit I have to take him back for check up (to a different vet of course) because he seems to have a cold and infected/swollen eye he was perfectly fine before I took him to this vet. I have six cats and I bring them all to Dr. Guzman, who's a wonderful veterinarian. He saved my Lucky from a respiratory distress that was diagnosed as Leukemia by another very known Dr. in the Kendall area.And I love the people helping the doctor at the clinic - they are awsome! Read Less

STAY AWAY. Do yourself a favor and take your pet elsewhere. I was forced to take my new puppy to this vet after purchasing my puppy from "Puppies of Kendall" (which was my first mistake). The staff at the front were all very nice and helpful, but it was dealing with Dr. Guzman personally which was terrible. It's pretty obvious that he works hand in hand with the owner of the horrible puppy shop across the street (the aforementioned Puppies of Kendall) and assists him with selling sick puppies to customers under the impression that they are buying healthy dogs. My puppy has a heart murmur (confirmed by 3 other vets at another practice) that was not seen/heard by "Dr." Guzman just two weeks earlier when he signed papers saying that the puppy was healthy and fit for sale. Having to take my puppy back to Guzman because of being covered under contract by his particular office if the dog was found ill, I left my puppy with him for 4 days. I called several times to check on my dog and left multiple messages asking to have Guzman call me back. He never did. I made the decision to pick up my dog on my own against his recommendation. I will gladly pay out of pocket to take my dog elsewhere to a doctor that I trust and whose word I can count on to do everything necessary to make sure my dog is as healthy as possible. TERRIBLE if I could give zero stars I would ! We bought a dog from Puppies of Kendall this is their vet we had to take him to. Mr. Guzman signed the bill of health failed to hear a heart murmur that OUR vet heard. We were required to take the dog here to be treated so the Puppies of Kendall would pay the bill. After 3 days of leaving the dog here to be treated for kennel cough NO Xrays or anything was done to look into the heart murmur ! We called every day to see and left messages to speak with the doctor got no response from him. I am furious this doctor promised he would seek all the necessary care needed for our puppy and he has FAILED to do so. I am taking my dog to MY vet to properly be taken care of since this office clearly does not do their jobs properly. Do not take your pets here! Read Less

I will never return to this animal hospital. I went to this animal hospital because they accept my dog's insurance (I normally go to Eureka Animal Clinic-- Dr. Alonso there is GREAT!). The girls at the front desk were very nice and attentive. I sat in the nice waiting room and waited to be seen. Once in the room, the vet tech came in, and then the vet, who never introduced himself (he's hispanic with hair down to his shoulders). I told the vet I was there because of a small ball/growth on my shih-tzu's back. He immediately started explaining how she needed immediate surgery to remove the ball because there was an "80% chance" it was malignant-- he stressed that the word "cancer" is from "olden times" and no longer used in the field. He then said she would require x-ray of her lungs to check for metastasis (if the growths had spread). I said that he was assuming that the growth was malignant, and asked if any other less invasive tests could be done-- like a needle aspiration. He said yes, but that it would need to be removed anyway, and that if the x-ray showed metastasis in the lungs then there was nothing else that could be done. He was very quick to talk and throw in big words, and I had struggled to get my questions in.He also looked at her eye (where she previously had a damaged cornea but it was now healed-- as I later found out from Dr. Alonso) and said she would either A. require surgery to remove the top layer of her eye where the "ulcer" was, or B. would require 3 sets of eyedrops, one of which would be made from her blood serum and I'd have to leave her at the vet for a couple of hours for blood to be drawn for. I took the $755 estimate for the "malignant tumor" and the $120 estimate for the eyedrops and headed straight to Dr. Alonso for a second opinion. He took a look at it and said it was a small bruise/swelling that should go away on its own, and that he wasn't worried about it. He then said that the gray area on her eye was scar tissue and her eye was fine.Aside from wanting to charge me for unnecessary procedures, Kendall Drive Animal Hospital has no consideration for all that my dog would have gone through had I listened to their opinions-- an unnecessary eye surgery, unnecessary surgery to remove the "tumor" and an x-ray. I wish I would have read the other Yelp reviews about this animal clinic. Please, whatever you do don't go to this place. They are out for your money and nothing else. These people don't even know how to properly care for your animal. I went there because my cat had developed a skin irritation that looked by what i thought was ringworm by online pictures. The girls at the front desk are generally nice but their vet nurses are horrible. They asked me to wait inside the waiting room. I waited and then came in a vet nurse. He didn't even introduced himself just asked me if I had a record of the vaccines I had given to my cat. Well, I told him that I had given it to the front desk staff and they had made copies. Mind you, he was holding the record. Then he asked me if the vaccines had descriptions, I am like don't you know what each of the names of the vaccines mean. I told him my cat had received all his vaccines rabies and an anti parasitical injection when he was much younger (a couple of months ago). I also shared that he remains indoors most of the time, still he said the previous clinics did not do a "proper parasitical" check up because they did not conduct a fecal exam. So he recommended one to wary off  any possible parasites might be the cause of the skin irritation. I fell into it and I agreed on a Fecal checkup. My cat is very calm, he is a sweet heart. He might not be the most beautiful cat out there but he is super calm at the Vet office. Yet, he felt the need to use excessive force and brought in a harness. The cat wasn't even scratching, never showed teeth, or meowed. Then overhead him say to one of the other nurses "relengato esta en ese cuarto" which basically means "street/ugly cat is in that room." Anyways, it's my fucking cat and its not like I am not going to pay you to treat my cat. Then comes the "vet," at first tells me the irritation might be from excessive licking or from fighting with my other cat. Then he changes his story and say the cat contracted an infection and that he was going prescribe a couple of meds. He leaves the room and here comes the nurse with the prescriptions meds and the costs. They wanted to charge me $69.00 for an antibiotic vaccine. I told him that I could orally administer the antibiotic so the price went to $30.00. From this instance forward, then he knew I wasn't a bimbo that was just going to accept his "professional opinion." Then he wanted to charge me $18.00 for an omega 3 shot so that the skin can regenerate faster. This is completely unnecessary because I feed my cat a VERY high quality cat food and multivitamins. So I declined. Then another $30 for a medicated shampoo?? Mind you, the vet couldn't tell exactly if this a due to an infection or excessive licking. In all they wanted to charge me $229 for all the medication. I had to cut off the pork from the bill and ended paying $139.00. I had to remind the nurse for the fecal results because he didn't remember. They came back negative just like I had suspected. Another nurse came to administer an anti scratch injection and he brought another nurse to "scruff" the cat. The lady didn't even know how to do it correctly and seemed a little wary about touching the cat. By the way, my cat is clean and does not smell. The last thing you want to show to a cat is that you are fearful. Animal psychology 101, where did she go to school?Then I asked her why so much excessive force on this poor cat, which during the ENTIRE EXAMINATION WAS CALM!!!  So, she backed off. The cat didn't fucking made a sound when the injection was being administered. He was just bundled up, purring to himself.  I GOT SO UPSET AT THIS FUCKING Place. I am sorry I am being so vulgar but these people don't know about animals. I usually take him to a low cost clinic near Flagler and they had detected and correctly treated his urinary track infection. I was stupid and opted to go to this new crap because it was closer to my house. My brother found my cat a couple of months ago as a skinny little kitten of 2 months in the rain. He is not the cutest thing but has a very calm demeanor and super friendly. Every vet would automatically detect this cat has a calm temperance. Anyways, they recommend I go next week to check on the cat , in case he needs "extra medication." They will definitely not see my behind in there again! If you love your pet DON't GO!!!!! Read Less

These people are crooks and have no knowledge of anything, none the less in veterinary medicine.We were bringing my dog here for quite some time because the location was convenient. Dr. Quintero seemed like a knowledgeable professional who knew what he was doing, and Janet the office manager seemed to care about our pet.Boy were we wrong! Our dog wasn't urinating properly and we called them and asked them if we should bring her in, and they told us to wait it out, shortly after she was diagnosed with kidney stones.Fast forward after surgery. They told us she would come home after 2 days, but her health was not improving, so they asked us to come in. They told us she was not eating and would die if we didn't take her home.We brought her home and she recuperated right away, unfortunately her body was left with bumps from all the injections they gave her, and from what I gather from my new vet this was due to dirty needles, however, this establishment insisted this was a sign of cancer, and suggested that we operate my poor dog, after everything she had been through.The issue her was that no tests were performed to confirm this finding. I didn't believe it, so I took my dog to another vet for a second opinion. The vet ran extensive tests and blood work, which ALL came back NEGATIVE!I would never recommend this place to anyone, you're better off trying to treat your dog yourself. Read Less

My wife and I have no words. We were going away for a week and left our puppy at Kendall Drive Animal Hospital. The dog was healthy, beautiful, shiny coat and full of energy. One day before our return they called us to say that the dog was vomiting and had bloody stool. They said they would do the necessary tests, I agreed. All the tests came back negative. When I came back to pick him up. He was pure bones, on a drip and had lost hair. He was like a different dog with no emotions, scared to interact. I decided to take him home because I felt they were not taking good care of him. Two days later our dog died. We believe he died of malnutrition. If you care about your pet, avoid this place! This was by far the best clinic I've been to. The staff is incredible and they treated my dog as one of their own. Dr. Quintero is a phenominal veterinarian very educated,hilarious,and well rounded guy.They did a dental and a procedure called a cystotomy which is the taking out of stones in the bladder.The pricing was perfect understandible since they are odviously a hospital with a lot of things to pay for. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone KDAH you are awesome. Read Less

I'm not an expert on animal clinics, but I must say I am quite satisfied with this one. Aside from a couple loopy employees, everyone means well and does a good job of reminding you about check ups. I had a very bad experience at this vet. I bought a cocker spaniel at a pet shop and was instructed to go to this vet for follow up. They gave me clear bill of health and vaccines. Turns out pup was sick never diagnosed nor treated and died. Of course I get another pup and after the initial shots were given  ran from this vet and continued care at another location! Read Less

I went to this clinic after purchasing my puppy from a pet shop. She was very sick and they took good care of her. At that point we chose to purchase the 1 year package including the spaying (extra $100). (almost $300.00 for 1 year program) After paying almost another $100.00 after each visit (because they nickel and dime you) I took my puppy to be spayed. Then then wanted another $200.00. They said my package only included the procedure but not anything else including the stitches and medication??? They are CRAZY! I will not return. What a horrible experience. Read Less

I love this clinic! I took my puppy there because when i received her that was the clinic i was supposed to go to for the first free check up. I loved it and decided to sign up for the year of service. The only thing i did not like at all were the prices! It was ridiculous how i had paid almost $400 for the year insurance which was supposed to include everything yet each time i took my dog they managed to charge me $200 and up every time. As soon as my year contract was over i immediately took my dog across the street to Ban field and started my monthly payments of $20 which includes unlimited visits. Read Less

You won't believe how cute this English Bulldog puppy is that we picked up in Key West 2 weeks ago! She's super intelligent, cute and sits in her own pee. In the words of my friend Meli, "SQUEE"!!! Actually now that I think about it, my Bully is the complete opposite of Kendall Drive Animal Hospital; well except for the fact that KDAH probably does sit in it's own pee.Initially, a little over a year ago I took my other English Bulldog to KDAH to get checked out before I shipped him off to my Uncle in Texas. The vet seemed really knowledgeable and friendly and the price was right for a laid-off jack wagon; all reasons why I brought my new Bully here. If I had a time machine I would go back and take her to Town & Country Animal Hospital but since I don't I'll just set myself on fire and then take her there.KDAH resident Vet was out on vacation and that may have had a small part to play but the office staff are probably just as dense regardless of which Vet is in the house. I couldn't get a straight price on how much it would cost me to get the 3rd and 4th puppy vaccines, de-worming, yadda yadda until I was in the room and they were already taking poo from my puppies ass. I inquired again what their prices where and the intern who looked like a construction worker trading-down careers started pulling prices out of his ass. "Oh, I was thinking about our new dog paw replacement surgery." He said. Even then they were too busy trying to sell me on what they call insurance when, in reality, it was an expensive way to lock me in to only EVER going to KDAH. FYI KDAH, you can't mark up your prices 200% and then sell me a package (not synonymous with INSURANCE btw) at 125% market price and lock me into a full year of service with you. I know it's hard to believe but my brain is at least as functional as my dog's.People who will like KDAH:- Fools who like to blow their money and get half of what they pay for.- Pets who are dying because KDAH's interim Vet might not be able to differentiate what species they're dealing with.People who won't like KDAH:- People who love their pets- Those who like to get a good value for their dollar Read Less

My mother took my dog as an emergency to this hospital. The primary vet briefly looked at my dog and told her she should take her to urgent care immediately. Upon reviewing the final charges my mother noticed they were charging her for a shot that she never saw neither the vet nor any other nurse do. My mother questioned this charge for a shot that was never given and the primary vet began screaming at my mother, telling her to get the f*** out, and calling her several other defamatory names in Spanish. This was the biggest lack of respect and professionalism my mother ever incurred. People were very nice to my pet and I. But they were very expensive and tried to make me pay for things my pet did not need. My pet was going to travel to cali they said i had to give him advantix flea treatment which cost $51 or he could not fly and the doctor had to sign for it so i couldnt but it somewhere else. I called the airline and they laughed and said they need no such thing they wanted to charge me $347 for the vaccines health certificate and other useless things. I went to another doctor and it cost$100 to get him ready. kendall drive hospital only cares about making money. Dont get scammed check other doctors out. Read Less
