##### I HOPE EVERYONE READS THIS #### Please read below and I hope you reconsider Town and Country Animal Hospital (T&C) as your Veterinarian.All my life I've been surrounded by dogs... I love dogs. I've been a Town and Country client for over 15 years. I had two previous dogs, Sasha 15(Beagle) and Sam 13(Dutch Shepperd), both have passed away of Cancer.Now I own three dogs, Sally (German Shepperd *Handicap), Sol a rescue dog and Sai (German Shepperd *Sally's dad). All three dogs have their insurance plan and are seen at T&C.I went away on a 12 day trip. I left Sally boarded at T&C hoping she will be taken care of given her handicap condition. Today February 26, 2019, I picked Sally up and one of the Doctors (A very nice lady) asked to speak to me. She told me that the owner of T&C, Dr. Michael Mordaunt doesn't want Sally to stay at T&C again. Apparently, she needed extra care which I clearly paid for it as you can see on the bill. When I got home and changed Sally's pampers, I noticed her butt was bleeding and it was completely irritated. Clearly, she was not well care for. A clear indication the dog was neglected while in their care. See attached picture. This is completely unacceptable. In addition, I left two bucks of food for Sally and she was only fed one of the two containers... again this is a German Shepperd not a small chihuahua dog. One container for 12 days? That's all she had to eat?When Sally was little Dr. Michael Mordaunt told my wife that we should put sally to sleep... just like that! without any sympathy or regards for the animal life or much less for what we care or feelings we had for the dog, but wife burst into tears... leaving us with a sense of guilt when all we are trying to do is give the poor dog a chance at life. As a doctor, you would expect Dr. Michael Mordaunt to be more caring and have more compaction for the dog's well been regardless her condition.I want to make this public because this is unfair for the dog and for us. Terrible !!!  Dropped off my 3 year old dog for a BATH and got a horrifying call that my dog was in critical condition. Apparently under their care the stress caused him life threatening respiratory problem. When we arrived they had us wait in a room to then have the most insensitive doctor come in to say he's not sure what happened but he's not sure our dog  will make it. He then proceeded to tell us he's had a rough day and didn't even have time for lunch then handed us the number to an emergency animal hospital and suggested running the AC in the car cold and hope for the best. I've been a customer of Town & Country for 8 years. I live about 30 minutes away, but the drive is well worth it. Both of my dogs have always received excellent care. In fact, we adopted our younger dog, Walter, from Town & Country. They partner with local rescues to get animals adopted. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Town & Country for all you do! I never had the chance to take my pet here reason was when I called they kept asking if my pet was a member I would say no it's my first time - she mentioned if my pet was not a member they couldn't do the grooming ? As my pet was not seen by the dr? I asked her so my dog needed to be a patient ? For grooming !l? What if I liked the service and when my dog needs a vet I'll come back ? As thank God my dog was always healthy ? She said oh okay we can do that ? This is a FANTASTIC animal hospital! VERY satisfied. Helped my Siamese right away and stopped her suffering. She’s back her normal happy spoiled self. Even helped me with the bill by letting me set up a payment plan. Explained thoroughly how to give her medicine and how to avoid it happening again. When my family went through the most devastating time of having to put our most loved pet to sleep this establishment was most professional to realize our pain but most importantly the pain of our family and loved dog ace. They made it as least painful and most easily understood as it could be. They seemed to understand the quality of life but also the pain of suffering and made it clear that the time had come but that it was our choice. When it came down to it they knew what they were dealing with like how a hospital that cares for people. Best Vet experience I have ever received. I have been going there for at least 17 years. when I move I tried to find a vet closer to my home, but, there were none that I felt I could trust. If you care about your pets don't take them here! My dog came back bloody from a shot she was given. My other dog was turned away at the same time, with bloody stool. Doctors decided it was past 530 and refused to see my other dog. The are uncaring and unprofessional! Do your self a favor and stay away from these people. Read Less

Very pricey! There good at what they do, but they diagnosed my dog sugar w liver disease,  n a year later she's  diagnosed by another vet DR MICHAELS( has no liver disease), sugars old too!! 15 years dachtseen!The staff was always nice, until an incident, then one  of the front desk  staff n office staff, was very rude to me, they acted very  belligerent, not listening to what I was saying, , then the dr. Owner Veterineraian asked me to leave n not come back( after 10 years with this vet)!!!That's just not good customer service to treat an old customer that way!!They disregarded my valid point of view!!( I can't recall what the issue was).....I go to dr michaels now am very happy with the sweet staff who work there n reasonable cost for my three pets!! Took my cat in for a bladder infection. They cleaned his ears out without asking me. The tech damaged the ear drum and basically killed my precious cat. They kept stalling acting like they did not know what was wrong. When he was brought home he had labored breathing and we had to finally put him to sleep. So I'm happy to share that Laila's recovery is at 80%! Thanks to awesome Vets/Staff at Town & Country Animal Hospital. Her Scratching is down 100% she is back to her normal scratching, her skin is clear to about 80%, and her Paw licking is down to about 50%. They have helped Laila in three weeks after struggling for a year with Banfield with no results! We ended up switching Banfield's mind year thinking maybe it would help. I would never ever recommend any Banfield Hospitals!!! However I'm really liking this change. Town & Country animal has a similar wellness plan as well. I just got her nails cut, not to mention they have grooming too. This place seems to be a total package. Glad we made the move and Laila is too!Read Less

I have had two dogs in my adult life, a Golden Retriever and a Black Labrador Retriever. When I got my first dog I sought out the Vet I used to work for as a teenager, Dr. Dwayne Beatty. He was great. My dog Tramp lived 15 happy years! After a time, I decide to get another dog Ty, a Black Labrador Retriever. He was much less graceful and a bit more difficult to train, but just as lovable and a real family companion. Dr. Mourdant and Town and Country Animal Hospital was recommended by a friend and treated Ty his whole like, from 3 months to 15 years. Dr. Mourdant and his staff are kind, understanding, and much less invasive than other Veterinarians I've known and heard of. About three weeks after Ty passed in November of 2015, received a box in the mail from Town and Country Animal Hospital. It was a plaster paw print of Ty and a sympathy card signed by all of the employees of Town and Country Animal Hospital. I cannot express how thoughtful and touching that was. They really care! We have been with TCAH for 35 years, 8 pets ago. Through all the years we have been shown nothing but the utmost in care, compassion and just overall kindness. We just recently lost our beloved BamBam and I felt peace with him going quietly in my arms after hundreds of hugs, a little whimper and he was silent. We have been taking our dogs here for over 25 years (even in their previous location) and find the staff and doctors to be the best.  The staff knows us by name and shows love and care to our dog each time she comes for her visit.  Have had many dogs during these years and they have had to be put down due to old age and the care and compassion this hospital shows is outstanding.    Dr. Mordant and Dr. Kasseru are outstanding, both taking a personal interest in my dog and me (as they know I am overly emotional!!). ==Things I like==I've been taking my dog here for years. Thankfully, 90% of the times have been for regular check-ups or travel papers and nothing too serious. I used to go to Dr. Child but switched over to Dr. Kasseru as I find her to be more approachable and extremely professional.I've traveled with my dog many, many times and Dr. Kasseru has always gone above and beyond to help with the tedious paperwork. My dog has a tooth cleaning once and had to have one of his teeth removed. I was nervous but everything turned out well and Dr. Kasseru called me at my office to keep me abreast of everything.==Things I don't like==Unfortunately, the front office staff is hit or miss. You either get someone who is very professional or someone who is very green and desperately needs training and common sense. Apologies for sounding so harsh, but honestly, a front desk should move smoothly at all times. There have been too many instances when my calls to the techs or vets were *not* even delivered as well as messages left on their VM.My dog had a skin infection that wasn't so bad and it was treated with antibiotics immediately. In retrospect, I would have liked to have tried something more organic prior to escalating the issue to such strong treatment.They do not have emergency hours. I used to have another vet that would call you on weekend nights if she had to. For that one reason I'm always wondering if I should go somewhere else but I hate the thought of that because I trust them... but on the flip side if God forbid I ever had an emergency at odd hours I would be forced to go to an office I don't know and who doesn't know my dog because this office doesn't make themselves available for true emergencies at midnight. Dr. Mordaunt has been treating my cats for 13 years now and I would not take them anywhere else as his staff and hospital are excellent. I recently had to euthanize my beloved cat of 17 years and I am truly grateful to Dr. Mordaunt for getting through this traumatic experience. Although his office was extremely busy that day, after having completed the procedure, Dr. Mordaunt spent at least 20 minutes consoling me and was even kind enough to walk me to my car and made sure that I was alright to drive. On August 8th, I unfortunately had to make the desicion to let go of my best friend. From the moment I called TCAH they were kind and compassionate. That attitude did not change with any of the staff members when I walked in later that day with my girl. They immediately tended to her to make her comfortable in her last moments. They comforted me and told me I was making the best desicion for her and allowed me and my family to be there throughout the process. When they had finished, it was already time to close, but they told me to take my time with her. They did not rush me out or even mention that they needed to go. Today I had to pick up her ashes. Another tough day. Again, the staff was friendly and compassionate. The box with her ashes pays homage to my girl. The mold of her paw print is beautiful and I can't wait to place it in a shadow box with her picture for display. I highly recommend TCAH. We drive from Miami Lakes to Town & Country because we appreciate the quality of care, time, and attention we receive from the entire staff there. Dr. Childs is a godsend; she helped us through a very difficult time when we lost our six year old cat to cancer earlier this year, and we are taking the rest of our cats to her for checkups and evaluation. We trust her implicitly, and her willingness to take the time to explain things in detail means the world. The rest of the staff is equally as stellar. I love this vet, two of my dogs are seen by them and they are amazing! They helped me when I found a stray dog and she turned out to have heart worms...she is now my big baby and is doing 100% good! Dr. Kessaru is the best as well as the other vets that have seen my dogs. They help you by letting you pay your big bills little by little and they are great when you freak out because your 79 pound dog ripped her stitches out and you think the worse lol, they saw her right away and everything was great! If you care about your pet do not take them to Town & Country Animal Hospital. I went there after reading the reviews on Google. Your pet is treated out of your site. Medication is dispensed in questionable 'non-prescription' containers. Every visit over the past 2 years got worse each time. There were never any others customers there -ever.Read Less

I brought my brother-in-laws dog here about 2 years ago after finding them on Google because she had a mass growing on her side. I'm very protective of her (a nice way of saying overly obsessed) and had to make sure she had the best treatment. The staff was so nice and removed the mass and spayed her at the same time. She has absolutely no scars from the procedures.I myself got a dog March of this year and decided to bring her here because of the amazing experience I had before. The staff is so amazing and kind. They always get excited to see Boca and want to keep her haha I have no complaints. I always recommend this vet to my friends. Even my dog doesn't get the normal scared puppy habits where you have to drag her in the room when she goes there because everyone loves her and makes her feel at home.We just got her spayed yesterday and picked her up today and I cannot express my happiness completely. She wasn't crying and wanting to go home. The staff was so kind and gave us good feedback and not just "she's doing ok" when we would call to check on her.I know there are bad reviews on here but everywhere has them. I have been coming to this hospital for 5 years. The staff are nice and friendly. My dog's Doctor, Jill Child is nice and knowledgeable. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about the hospital in general. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is for lack of staff in the groomers department. They only have one person. Rosie, is a nice groomer however, the last few times I have taken my dog to her, she does a sloppy job. My dog stays with knots and I have to go home brush out the knots she left untouched. They need more staff. One person shouldn't only be doing grooming. Also is ridiculous the amount of time I leave my poor dog at the groomer. It shouldn't take no more than 2 hours to get the job done. Mind you I have a small dog and would make an appointment everytime. I had dropped off my dog early in the morning and my dog would not  be done until the afternoon. Read Less

After trying many vets in Miami-Dade County over the past ten years, we switched to Town and Country three years ago and will never go anywhere else. We have seen Dr. K, Dr. Child and Dr. Mordaunt, and they are all excellent. I love that they work together and consult one another for difficult issues (of which my dogs have had quite a few). They are all very good at communicating what is going on with your dog, explaining it in plain, easy to understand language, giving fair and accurate pricing estimates, and doing excellent veterinary work. Dr. Mordaunt in particular is an incredibly skilled surgeon who has done an amazing job with my dogs even on complicated knee and hip surgeries for my giant English Mastiffs. They are all very patient, and always spend a lot of time explaining things to me, and advising me on available options. The staff is amazing, They are kind, helpful, patient, and they definitely love my dogs! I have a dog who has had to be hospitalized for many nights due to complicated surgical needs, and staff members never failed to call me regularly to update me, let me visit after work, and even went so far as to email me pictures and video of my dog while she was there. Their boarding staff is very good, too, and I like that they only board their patients (not random people's dogs) so they know the pets and their temperaments. If you want your pet to be put to death by an unprofessional, insensitive, condescending, uneducated, incompetent quack, then, by all means, go see "Dr." Michael Mordaunt.While walking my dog, my gf notices that he has lost the ability to walk. She rushes over to Town & Country Animal Hospital. During the visit, it is revealed that my dog also has a 106° fever. He is put on IV & kept overnight. We called for updates & were told that my dog's fever had dissipated. I call to make sure that we can pick him up the next morning. The tech immediately tells me that my dog has been moaning nonstop. We rush over. He was brought into the room & was still moaning uncontrollably. It seemed like he was in pain. It was heartbreaking. Anyway, in comes "Dr." Mordaunt. The first words out of his mouth are, "Well, we have to talk about putting him to sleep". First of all, even if this were in any way the case, what kind of a jackass just comes in & nonchalantly says that? My gf (who is a doctor, by the way), immediately questions him & asks, "Why?" Mordaunt then says, "He is in the end stages of his life. He's dying." My gf, very intelligently & logically (two traits that Mordaunt does not possess) states, "His bloodwork doesn't show anything. What is the problem that he is having?" She also asks what the blood culture showed (she was under the impression that a blood culture was also done. It had not been). "Dr." Mordaunt then, very condescendingly, asks her (knowing full well that she is an actual doctor), "You do know the difference between regular bloodwork & a blood culture, right?" Again, my dog is seemingly dying in front of this petty piece of garbage & he has the audacity to try to talk down to his owner in the midst of all this? The level of unprofessionalism, & apparent jealousy, displayed by this clown was shocking. Anyway, we continue. Mordaunt then says "Your dog is dying. You need to accept it." My girlfriend then says, "You still haven't told me what my dog is dying of. The bloodwork doesn't reveal anything. You haven't done any xrays. So, how on earth can you say that my dog is dying? Dying from what?" Again, completely logical and rational. His answer? "I've been doing this for 40 years." What the hell does that mean? How does that answer any of these questions? It's really sad that you've been doing this for 40 years and you are willing to put a poor little dog to sleep without having any evidence whatsoever that he is dying. All because he is moaning. Wouldn't a real dr try to find out the cause of his pain? Wouldn't a real dr do an xray, something, anything, to try to find out what is causing this, not just say "Hey, he's old. Let's kill him"? Oh, & we're still not done with this pile of excrement. Mordaunt then callously says, "Well, I have other patients waiting. What are you going to do?" Yes, my friends, this pathetic excuse for a "vet" asked us to accelerate our decision on our dog's fate because it was taking up too much of his precious time. "Dr." Mordaunt is a scumbag. Plain and simple. If anyone needs to be put to sleep, it is this old, decrepit, senile, bag of bones. During a 2nd opinion, Dr. Michael Wong vehemently disagreed with "Dr." Mordaunt. He ordered an MRI which showed my dog only had a slipped disc in his neck. He found NOTHING terminal and said that the moaning was not because of pain. Which was completely correct, as my dog has stopped doing it since he's been home. It's been 10 days since Mordaunt wanted to execute my dog, by the way, and he's perfectly fine. So, in conclusion, this scumbag was going to execute my dog for the simple fact that he was moaning, never bothering to figure out the root cause. Think about it, how many other pets has this "doctor" doomed to premature deaths because of his utter incompetence? How he ever received a degree is beyond me. Dr. Wong saved my dog's life. My girlfriend's decision to ignore "Dr." Mordaunt's uneducated opinion saved my dog's life. Last week my dear American Bulldog, Tasha, was diagnosed with cancer and sadly she passed way. We took her to the Town and Country Animal Hospital, and while there Dr. Catalina Kesser and Michael Mordaunt and the entire staff were so compassionate, patient and professional that they made this very sad moment more bearable for our family. And what is more, last Saturday, we received a condolence card signed by the entire staff with a very heartfelt message and a ceramic tile with Tashas paw imprint of it, a beautiful details that we always have with us. I used to take my two dogs (they have since passed) and currently take my 3 cats here.  They are in the pricier side of things BUT I've never felt that they have tried to "steal" my money.  And I trust them with my pets wholeheartedly.  The whole staff of great....and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mordaunt.  This is a lengthy review....but if you love your pet like family, this recounts some very human moments from their staff and how they treat their patients, and it is worth reading. I first came across them about 14 years ago....one of my dogs had a tumor that was scheduled to be removed at another facility in about a week's time, but it "burst" suddenly and was bleeding.  I called several emergency hospitals to take her, and was turned away...thankfully.  I literally walked into their hospital without even calling and asked them to please help me, and help my dog.  Without hesitation, they took her in not knowing anything about her.  They became my vets from that point forward. Fast forward to 2009 (my dogs are 15 and 16 years old at this point) and on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend 2009, the oldest one (six months shy of 17) suddenly began seizing when I took her out for her walk.  She had never had seizures. Since it was a Saturday, after closing time, I called their number expecting to be patched through to their emergency line.  Instead, they answered the phone, and Dr. Mordaunt told me to bring her immediately.  I saw him giving her meds that would stop a grown man from seizing....and my little 6 pound dog would not stop. At that point he knelt down next to the table, told his tech to start IV fluids, and proceeded to pet my dog and tell her that she would be ok.  She stayed there the weekend, I was hoping she would recover....they even allowed me to visit her on Mother's Day so that I could see her...she was still seizing, but she still recognized me and followed me with her eyes and wagged her tail.  They never opposed me visiting her during the two days she was there until there was no option but to put her to sleep.  By Monday morning, my doggie had a blank stare, she was alive, but no longer there....and they held my had throughout the whole process, and made arrangements so that my parents could say good bye to her.  Throughout this whole process I was never charged extra for after hours treatment, and as a matter of fact, it was less money than I expected, and they still offered to split my payments so that it would be easier on my pocketbook.  I now take my three felines buddies there, and leave them there at least once a year for boarding for a full week for boarding.  One of my cat has an autoimmune disorder, and when he has a flair, all I have to do is call them for his meds....they know I can recognize his symptoms and have never been asked to bring him in "just to make sure".I have also used them for boarding, both for my dogs and currently for my cats on my yearly vacations, and have never had any issues.  Their hospital is staffed 24/7, and they have facilities on site for a technician to be there overnight and during off hours.  So whether hospitalized, or during boarding there is always someone there watching over your furry friends.  They also offer grooming services, and although I cannot attest to it because I have never used it, I have no doubt that they are equally wonderful in that area too.I can continue speaking wonders of them.  The level of care and compassion that they show at TACH is sorely lacking in many other places, and I have often joked with people that I wish my doctor's office treated me as well as they treat my pets at Town and Country.  If you are on the fence, give them a try...you won't regret it. This is the BEST vet I have ever had and I've had many. They are so wonderful with my pets. If you need an appointment, they can usually even get you in the same day you call. All the receptionists are so sweet and friendly. The vets and techs are awesome. I especially recommend Dr Catalina Kesseru. I have moved a lot and therefore have had to find a lot of vets and she is by far the BEST! She is so kind, listens to you and involves you in your pet's care. She is truly amazing. I'm moving to broward soon and will continue to drive all the way down to bring my babies to her. They make you and your pets feel like family. My older pets have had multiple surgeries there and they always take the best care of them. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Read Less

Boarding was decent and my Jesse seemed to enjoy. Waiting room has refreshments, and doesn't have that wet dog smell. But for actual quality and care I wasn't that impressed. In one case, we had Jess tested for epilepsy, and though we got meds, and called a few times for results, never did receive. It's one of the pricier places around the area (not that I mind paying the price, but at least make me feel like it was worth it), and in my personal experience, I've found better vets since that time, and though I'm sure they're good and qualified, it just didn't work out for us. Been taking my dog BAMBAM, there for 5 years. About 2 weeks ago he needed surgery and as usual everyone from the receptionist to the actual vet that did the surgery where in constant communication with us. Thank you is not enough, the care and service is a five start one. Other reviews might say it's pricey, but you pay for great and outstanding service. Today was our first visit with our puppy. The doctor that saw us was very friendly and and super informative! Spent at least 15 minutes just talking about preventing heartworms, fleas & ticks, the right food to feed her, grooming..... we loved it! What a great place to take your pet to!!! Today I took my kitty there and from the moment we came in to the moment we left everything was perfect! I'm so glad I finally found a vet for my baby after unsuccessful trips to three different vet places before. All the staff were extremely nice to us, Dr. was very knowledgeable an genuinely concerned for my kitty's health. He answered all my questions and I had a LOT! The nurse (I think her name was Kristie) was so friendly and helpful, and I just loved how nobody was trying to sell any unnecessary products to us. BTW, their prices are very reasonable and they tell you upfront how much you'd have to pay for everything. Oh, they even give you a little goodies bag, what a nice touch! BEST VETERINARY IN MIAMII have two beagles and i been taking them to this vet for 9 years and since the moment you enter the veterinary you feel at home and you feel that your pet will be save. This place gets an A++ in my grade book! The facility is beautiful. The staff was super friendly and professional. The doctor was extremely gentle and sweet with our beloved pain in the butt dog and was very thorough explaining our dog's issues. She ran tests that nobody had ever taken the time to do before, all to try to understand his issues and the underlying cause of them, as opposed to just treating his symptoms. The whole time she made sure to tell us the approximate costs of everything and the course of action she would take and why. All at reasonable but average prices. We had him groomed too and they left him perfect. No nicks, cuts, irritation, or bald spots. Plus, he was happy when we picked him up! Overall, awesome experience! I'm so glad to have found them! Best Vet EVER!!!! We have three dogs, 2 females and one male. Vet visits are commons specially when you have small breeds of different ages. Honestly there is no one thing I could ever complain about this hospital. The staff is amazing, their attention top quality and their prices are fair. We were in shock when we were told that the stayed for a small kennel was $18/night while we had actually spent $250 for a plane ticket to take our dog with us on a trip thinking boarding would be too expensive. Dr. Mordaunt is great, he takes his time explaining the issue and answers any concern; and I really mean ANY.... They even follow up the next day to see how our dog was doing and last but no least. Our dog LOVED THE VET... I mean like literally not even shaking... she just let him go back and for like nothing. And in 5 years she had never even let a vet touch her without barking and whining usually we have to hold her and force her to stay still but in here she was happy and given. Town and country animal hospital is the best place anyone can take there pets. My dog Buddy loves it, it's like a wonderland for animals! Dr.Wenke and Dr.Mourdaunt are very dedicated and professional. They have treated my dog for allergies, and has cured every problem my lab has had. All the staff are extremely nice and loving. They treat my dog with so much love that he isn't nervous to go to the vet anymore. The boarding service is great, my dog enjoyed it. They gave him to me clean and healthy and very happy! Town and Country Animal Hospital has been serving my own dogs, plus all of my rescues, for several years now. They are not only considered one of the best animal hospitals in South Florida for professional and medical reasons, but their "country doctor" approach to both me and my dogs is absolutely heartwarming. The doctors and the staff are endlessly patient and handle the dogs with such a loving, gentle touch. Equally important, they are very sensitive to the owners' concerns and questions, and never generate an anxious or rushed feeling when you're in the examination room. You KNOW you have the undivided attention of your doctor and the vet tech for as long as you need it. It's clear that they are not just in the BUSINESS of carring for animals; this team really loves what they do and the animals in their care. Luckily, my own dogs have never suffered any traumatic medical issues, but my rescue scenarios have ranged from hernia surgeries to the removal of bullets, and everything in between. The care and medical attention given these poor dogs is unmatched, not to mention the treats and playful attention. With a rescue, you never know what medical or temperament issue you're dealing with....but they handle my rescues with confidence and tenderness. Bottom line: they're superior in medical application and customer service, their establishment is always immaculate and their sincere love for animals shines through. The doctor's & staff of T&C An Hospital ROCK! I have had a LOT of animals in my time and everytime I have an ill animal, which is one of my ""children"" they have come thru in making me & my ""child"" feel comfortable in every way. Even when it is a routine office visit it is always an easy process for everyone all around. And I usually have bring in more than one at a time and it is NEVER a problem. I have used their boarding and feel so comfortable in leaving my animals there in their care that I have no worries. The grooming is always a pleasure my retreiver Sugar comes home feeling refreshed and looking GOOOOOOOOD ! I live 20 minutes give or take from there and I will NOT change to another vet. In Dec 2003, 4 days before Christmas our beloved Captain, our Rottie passed away at home minutes after my husband left on a trip. I believe Captain waited until he left. It was a Sunday afternoon and I had no idea what to do and I phone a friend, who called your office. I was told yes bring him in and you would handle EVERYTHING for me and my husband. I was not a client of the hospital but they took care of Captain as if he had been one of their family. I have never forgotten that. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Mordaunt at Town & Country Animal Hospital for 11 years and I have nothing but great things to say about him, his hospital, and his staff. He has helped me through some very difficult problems with my cats and I trust him wholeheartedly. He is extremely thorough in his examination and analysis of the situation and in his research of treatment alternatives. He is compassionate, practical, and resourceful. It is obvious that he cares about his clients and has the best interest of the animals at heart. I would never trust the care of my cats and dog to anyone other than Dr. Mordaunt. Five years ago we moved to Pinecrest and I now have a much longer drive to get to his hospital. I have 6 cats and 1 dog which means I am at the vets on a regular basis; however, I will gladly make that drive every time. I wish Dr. Mordaunt was located closer to me and I am sure there are good vets that are in my area, but I am confident that none are as exceptional as Dr. Mordaunt. He has always been there for me when I have needed him and I know that I can count on him and his staff to go above and beyond every time. They have wellness plans with low monthly fees that allow me to provide the best quality care for my pets.They have also helped me with unexpected emergencies and allowed me to make monthly payments. We have been clients of Town & Country Animal Hospital for the past 24 years. Dr. Mordaunt is the most compassionate and thorough veterinarian with whom we have had experience. He and his staff are truly dedicated to the health of animals and it is very apparent that they have a genuine love for animals.The hospital offers the most services that I have ever seen in a veterinarian's office. In addition to a full lab, they have a state-of-the-art surgical suite, a dentist extraordinaire and an excellent groomer who actually listens to the client’s requests rather than doing what HE wants to do.They will do everything possible to save an animal. For example, I am on high doses of Coumadin (a blood-thinner which is the same chemical used in rat poison). One day, I had taken my morning dose of several different medications and one of the Coumadin tablets must have dropped on the floor unnoticed. One of our dogs had Huntington’s Syndrome (where the animal has such a voracious appetite that they will eat anything in sight) and she, unfortunately ate the tablet. I had no idea until the following morning when she showed signs of overdose. They worked day and night to save our dog. There is a vet tech who stays overnight in a dormitory above the hospital. The tech comes down throughout the night to check on the hospitalized pets. Dr. Mordaunt actually called us in the middle of the night to get permission for a transfusion as it was a life-saving procedure.Over the years, we have either had our dogs die of old age and cancer. The staff was so compassionate and understanding each time by sending cards and a paw print in plaster as a remembrance of our beloved pets.We trust Town & Country Animal Hospital completely with our 4-legged family members and know that they are receiving the best of care possible.
