I trully recomend this clinic. The Doctor has a lot of experience and She will not take advantage of you by making unnecessary studies or by creating false expectations in regard to you dog treatments...
I trully recomend this clinic. The Doctor has a lot of experience and She will not take advantage of you by making unnecessary studies or by creating false expectations in regard to you dog treatments like other places do while everyone is suffering in vane. She will speak with the truth and if your dog or cat is able to make with treatment you can count on it ,because She will do her best to make it happen, otherwise She will tell you also very clearly. I treated my cat in here she lasted 18 years and she pass away due to her age. I went to other clinics because She doen't work on weekends and It was horrible. Same thing with my dog, he was 17 years old with cardiomegaly, heart failure pericardial effusion and became sick with heart worm, while other clinics lied to me, by selling me medications and false hopes, my dog was suffering a lot, I came with her on Monday and She spoke to me with the true and today We put him to rest in peace, We were present to say good bye to our loved dog so He won't feel lonely, since They can't understand Why or What is going on. She made us feel secured during the process, He didn't suffer, He was sedated with an intramuscular injection first, after a 3 minutes He fall asleep and Then she put him to rest. I decided the private cremation with and within a week I had his ashes in a decent safe box wood. The price was affordable and They were very gentle at all times! Thank you

I took my puppy to see Dr. Joanne, she was amazing. Extremely prepared and knowledgeable. She explain everything in detail and helped my puppy recover. The staff was great as well. Polite and understanding. They took good care of my furry baby. Plus affordable than other vets. She even took time of her day to call me and give me results on my puppies blood work. Love the Extra attention. Thanks!

We took our beloved doggy Finley in for emergency care on Tuesday and learned she had many health issues, most of which we were not able to treat due to her age and the advancement of those issues.

We took our beloved doggy Finley in for emergency care on Tuesday and learned she had many health issues, most of which we were not able to treat due to her age and the advancement of those issues.
Dr. Medina discussed her findings and offered care suggestions and allowed us to decide what we wanted to do.
In our case, keeping Fin comfortable so we had time to prepare to say good bye was the best option for her.
We were given medications, instructions and hugs before we left.
The following day, after discussing with Dr. Medina by phone Finley’s condition, it was determined she was suffering unnecessarily and we were allowed to come into the office on our own time to help our baby move on to the next life.
Dr. Medina and her staff are absolutely AMAZING people. EVERY person in that office we came in contact with was sympathetic and supportive.
I HIGHLY recommend this doctor and her staff to anyone who is looking for a place to take their pets for care.
When we are ready after enough time has passed, we will be back w a new puppy.

Dr. Medina and her staff have cared for my beloved lab mix Luna, since she was adopted from a shelter 15 years ago. Luna has had excellent health, which I am sure can be directly attributed to the advice and subsequent treatments over the years, administered by Dr. Medina. Cancer, arthritis, spondoliosis, pancreatitis, all cropping up in the last 3 to 5 years have been eradicated and/or controlled. Dr. Medina has maintained a gentle, caring and loving environment to the point where I would never even dream of going elsewhere for veterinary care. From Julia at the front desk, to Betty the vet tech, and now also Dr. Noguera, a vet there that administers acupuncture for Luna's arthritis, her care is what has kept Luna going. I trust them with the life of a much loved furry family member, and I can wholeheartedly and unequivocally recommend her facility and services. Love them bunches, and grateful for them

La Dra. Medina es una gran veterinaria; ella reune todos los requisitos que requiere su profesin. Adems de un vasto conocimiento en materia del reino animal, es muy tierna y amorosa con ellos. We moved my little schanauzer from her old vet's office as he retired to Westchester as it was referred to us as a good place. At the beginning all was fine but owner/vet decided to put a rabbies shot on my little schanauzer that had a heart condition and when we questioned it she said it would be fine...we questioned it as earlier in February she didn't recommend the vaccine and now later in the month she said it would be fine. The vaccine got her to have a seizure which she never experienced in her life and she never recovered and though we took her back to her old vets office. They questioned that why would a vet knowing the little one was old and had heart failure gave her a rabbies shot as they could have waived the shot without a problem for at least a year. My little one did not recovered from the side effect of the shot and we had to put her down so she would stop suffering. My daughters fiancee called the Westchester to tell them what Precious was going thru due to their neglience and not even a call to say "sorry for your lost"...however they did keep the $150.00 they charged us for the rabbies shot and for the medication to take her out of her seizure. We will be taking our little 6-pound mini poodle out of this office. Do I recommend them the ANSWER IS "NO"....the staff is very nice but the neglience of Dr Medina will never be forgotten.

Cough syrup to treat heart-worm??
Early last year, my 3 pound male chihuahua started coughing and seemed like he had something stuck in his throat. After some searching online, his symptoms raised the possibility of heart-worm. His coughing got worse over time, and I took him to Westchester Animal Hospital, a place highly recommended by a friend. Seemed good enough.
The vet took blood sample and checked the dog, said it wasn't heart-worm, but a simple cough. She was even rude, and seemed in a hurry. She sold me some overpriced cough syrup for dogs, and said it would go away. The dog died of heart-worm, the cough syrup was useless! This vet ripped me off, I paid more than $200 for nothing, do not bring your dogs or money here.

I have two dogs a German Sheppard and a Cocker Spaniel and my mom also takes her Cocker Spaniel to her too. I have also had to take a kitten (or 2) we found to her who needed immediate attention and saw me right away. You can really truly tell she loves her job and we love her ...she is great =)

First off I want to say I have four cats. I know what you're thinking... oh no cat lady. Maybe I am. I love cats. I adore all animals. So believe me when I say I truly trust Westchester Animal Hospital. All my babies have been going there for years. The staff is helpful and nice. The vet/owner, Dr. Medina is the sweetest person you'll ever meet. She is a true animal-lover. I've never seen her in a bad mood. Even when she claims she's had a long day, she still has the biggest smile. Thursday we took our newest kitten Leelu to have stitches removed from her spade operation. As always, vet and staff were lovely.

Hace muchos aos que llevo mis mascotas a la Dra. Joanne Medina, en el Westchester Animal Hospital. Siempre que llego me siento como en familia por el trato y la acogida que me otorga la empleomana. La Dra. Medina es una gran veterinaria; ella reune todos los requisitos que requiere su profesin. Adems de un vasto conocimiento en materia del reino animal, es muy tierna y amorosa con ellos. Yo la recomiendo 100% a todos los que aman y se interesan por procurarle a sus animalitos la mejor atencin.

The Vet Joanne Medina is highly knowledgeable and excels my expectations, when caring for my beloved shihtzu Bernie. Everyone at her office is very pleasant and caring. The prices are reasonable and affordable. Her facility is always clean and smells very nice. I highly recommend her office to everyone, who needs a veterinary for their pet.

I have been coming here for a while with my English Bulldog. The front desk staff has always been print in getting me in especially when I need an urgent appointment. The Dr is very knowledgeable and has always listened to my questions and addressed them to a tee. Also prices are not outrageous..

One of the best Animal hospitals I have taken my pets to. The staff is caring, friendly and most of all the vet in charge is a true professional that loves what she does. My pets are always happy to visit with their staff and I leave them there when I travel, and of course for all their pets needs. Truly an amazing hispital

We moved my little schanauzer from her old vet's office as he retired to Westchester as it was referred to us as a good place. At the beginning all was fine but owner/vet decided to put a rabbies shot on my little schanauzer that had a heart condition and when we questioned it she said it would be fine...we questioned it as earlier in February she didn't recommend the vaccine and now later in the month she said it would be fine. The vaccine got her to have a seizure which she never experienced in her life and she never recovered and though we took her back to her old vets office. They questioned that why would a vet knowing the little one was old and had heart failure gave her a rabbies shot as they could have waived the shot without a problem for at least a year. My little one did not recovered from the side effect of the shot and we had to put her down so she would stop suffering. My daughters fiancee called the Westchester to tell them what Precious was going thru due to their neglience and not even a call to say "sorry for your lost"...however they did keep the $150.00 they charged us for the rabbies shot and for the medication to take her out of her seizure. We will be taking our little 6-pound mini poodle out of this office. Do I recommend them the ANSWER IS "NO"....the staff is very nice but the neglience of Dr Medina will never be forgotten.

Cough syrup to treat heart-worm??
Early last year, my 3 pound male chihuahua started coughing and seemed like he had something stuck in his throat. After some searching online, his symptoms raised the possibility of heart-worm. His coughing got worse over time, and I took him to Westchester Animal Hospital, a place highly recommended by a friend. Seemed good enough.
The vet took blood sample and checked the dog, said it wasn't heart-worm, but a simple cough. She was even rude, and seemed in a hurry. She sold me some overpriced cough syrup for dogs, and said it would go away. The dog died of heart-worm, the cough syrup was useless! This vet ripped me off, I paid more than $200 for nothing, do not bring your dogs or money here.

I must agree with the other reviewer. I have been going to her for at least 5 years now and she is always super nice and always with a smile. I have two dogs a German Sheppard and a Cocker Spaniel and my mom also takes her Cocker Spaniel to her too. I have also had to take a kitten (or 2) we found to her who needed immediate attention and saw me right away. You can really truly tell she loves her job and we love her ...she is great =)

First off I want to say I have four cats. I know what you're thinking... oh no cat lady. Maybe I am. I love cats. I adore all animals. So believe me when I say I truly trust Westchester Animal Hospital. All my babies have been going there for years. The staff is helpful and nice. The vet/owner, Dr. Medina is the sweetest person you'll ever meet. She is a true animal-lover. I've never seen her in a bad mood. Even when she claims she's had a long day, she still has the biggest smile. Thursday we took our newest kitten Leelu to have stitches removed from her spade operation. As always, vet and staff were lovely.
