I LOVE BLACK CREEK VET. I can trust every vet and tech here to make sure my pups are getting the very best care out there. The new facility is beautiful and they have all the equipment you could think of for testing in house! I had to leave my lab with them for the day for testing and fluids and they called me with updates and let me cal as much as I wanted with questions or updates. Dr Sciardi is so sweet and really takes the time to ensure I am content and all of my questions are answered! I never feel rushed or like just another number, they do an amazing job making you feel like your pet is their one and only priority. We are moving out of state soon but I will definitely bring my dogs here for their shots every year because they are worth every second of the drive! As for the previous poster stating they waiting a long time - this hospital is extremely busy every time I go. But if I need an emergency appointment they will 100% get me and my dog(s) in same day. I have more patience in animal settings because you can't always get the animals to do exactly what you want them to (especially at the vet!) They are so thorough with every animal I would rather give up that extra time for others to get the A+++ care because I know they will be that great to me and my pups just like they are being to everyone else. Great Vet services and it pains me to give them three stars, BUT if you schedule an appointment be prepared to wait (at a minimum) 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time just to get in another room in order to wait (AT LEAST) another 10 minutes to actually see the Vet. They over schedule and this is the way it has been for at least a year. (Tip:) at the 15 minute mark complain above normal voice level. Tends to get you at least put in a room a few minutes faster. I had a bit of a wait on the morning I was to drop my pup Hendrix off for surgery. However, I was able to observe the clinic before opening hours and I was really touched. I cannot tell you how many people walked in with pet emergencies and not a single one was turned away. Black Creek Vet has heart! They genuinely care about our furred and feathered family members. Hendrix's (80 lb Labrador) surgery to repair a torn ACL went SO smoothly! I could not be more pleased. If you want a Vet who is genuinely compassionate, Black Creek is your best bet. STAY AWAY- My wife and I had been taking our dogs here for years, we have a new puppy and we took her there as well, after an hour wait a  young girl came out and took us back, she asked how I was doing and I said "Frankly I am Tired of Waiting" she said she was going to take the puppy to be weighed, minutes later she popped her head in the room and said, It should be a few more minutes, I nodded okay as I had taken a phone call on my cell, when Dr. Prices daughter came in I asked if the puppy could be spayed at this age, she said yes and offered to schedule it, I then said "No I will go elsewhere, and she instantly said "Ok we will get your records together", I then said I couldn't believe how flippant her attitude was towards a loyal customer for years, Dr. Price daughter then informs me "I find it hard to take someone seriously that uses an F-Bomb in front of my tech", I looked at her like what are you talking about, and then the tech chimed in "Yeah Twice", And I looked her in the eyes and said in a loud voice "You are Lying through your yellow teeth" , We then called and complained, I think the next day Dr.Price called me, I was still almost in tears, and furious at the same time, I explained to Dr. Price that I am a 56 years old grown man and if I said that I was not afraid to admit it, Dr. Price said he has spoke with the tech at length, and she has worked there for a long time and he Believed Her and would not fire her, (I had NEVER mentioned Fire her) and I told him that, I said give her a raise for all I care she is YOUR liability. At that point  I also told him I used to be in law enforcement and we use Probable Cause - Facts and Circumstances, that would lead a Reasonable and Prudent Person to Believe an Event took place and the suspect did it" Well I ask you Dr. Price who Had something to loose by telling the truth, Who had something to Gain by Lying to you, apply the facts and circumstances, I could not care less about saying I said whatever, but I won't stand for a Bold Face Lie being said about me By YOUR TECHS!   APPARENTLY you think it's your customers of more THAN TEN YEARS that are rude and Liars. So far I am impressed with this place. I highly recommend getting an appointment during the week however, because if you choose to do the first come first serve on Saturday you might find yourself sitting for two hours before you are seen. Building is huge and very classy, much nicer than was expected for the area. Rooms are very clean and look brand new. Nice bathroom in the waiting room. Only downside is the seating is not comfortable, all hard wood benches but I understand has there are tons of animals and anything soft would get ruined. The staff is very friendly, I didn't have a bad interaction with anyone. The vet I saw did seem to want to up-sell us on everything possible which can be a bit annoying, but understandable and fine. We took three of our mini/potbelly pigs here. The staff is amazing, Dr. Price is nothing short of extraordinary. He was very knowledgeable and was so good with all three of them, he answered all of my questions throughly. Their prices are very reasonable and provided a broken down estimate with low-high prices for their spay and neuter appointment. The only downfall there was, my appointment was at 9.. they got me in a room very quickly, but I waited in that room for about 45 minutes to see the vet. BUT they were pretty busy so the wait is usually typical for any medical office. Once Dr came in the rest of the appointment was fairly quick. They sent us home with some food samples and an information packet in a nice, reusable tote. Looking forward to their spay/neuter appointment in a couple of weeks. Read Less

Dr. Diley is great with pocket pets. She did a great job with our ferret Magellan and our other past ferrets. Magellan sadly had to be put to sleep this morning. But they did everything they could to help him before hand. I'll never forget her helpfulness and compassion for them. Read Less

Called yesterday afternoon around 4:25and told them we had a sick cat. They told me it would be an extra 60.00 emergency visit because we didn't have an appointment...Then told me all they would do is stabilize our cat and send him to the emergency vet,who last time we took him there,charged us 170.00 to tell us they didn't know what was wrong with him... So it's all about the money with these people,and not the care of the animals... I will be looking for another vet,as they have proven themselves to me what's important... For the past 3 weeks I have brought my dog to this vet and after spending over $700 on the visits they kept telling me that the lump on her back was a hematoma and that it would go down if I put warm compresses on her. Unfortunately for their piss poor service my dog died this morning. I will never bring another pet to this vet it is all about money to them, not the care of your animal. Completely disappointed. Unfortunately, my big beautiful ragdoll Big Bubba had to be put down because his ear cancer had returned after two years ago from having ear surgery. It was worse than before. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Price and his staff! Not only did they squeeze in a last- minute appointment on a Friday evening, they went above and beyond making us feel welcome and caring for our puppy. Great staff, great service, great facility, great value!  I can't say enough about Dr Price and his staff.  They've taken great care of my South African Boerboels for three years now and I wouldn't take them anywhere else.  From regular check ups and vaccinations to major surgery, Dr Price has been nothing less than everything you would hope for in a Veterinarian.  He cares for his patients and goes to great lengths to ensure they receive the best possible treatment.  A few years ago while my dogs were in the kennel, my male Boerboel developed a a urinary tract blockage due to stones and required immediate surgical intervention.  Dr Price kept me informed via the dog's condition by personal phone and video clips.  I couldn't have asked for better care.Compared to prices in other areas, Black Creek is very reasonable and their new Middleburg facility is second to none.  They have a satellite operation at Poochie's and existing relationships with local kennels such as Happy Dog Inn.If you moved to the area and are looking for a new Vet, or if you're simply looking to make a change, I couldn't make a stronger recommendation for Dr Price and the staff at Black Creek. Dr. Craig Price is an excellent vet and his staff is phenomenal as well. Over the years we have taken our cats there. Fortunately our cats have needed very little prophylactic ntreatment so Dr. Craig hasn't had do do much. He, unfortunately, sees us mostly to put our old cats (18-21 years) to sleep. His staff is so wonderful, caring, compassionate. We've had 4 cats put to sleep in 2 years, so they are prepared for lots of tears. His assistants hold my hand, wrap them carefully in a blanket so I can hold each one on the way home before we bury them. Even the head receptionist (office manager?) comes to give her condolences. 1 cat was diagnosed with cancer, and Dr. Craig said, after receiving biopsy results, that the cancer was a quickly metastasizing type. The fees were not outrageous by any means! When Dr. Craig returned from his Christmas vacation, he was shocked! The tumors had become so large, we put him to sleep immediately. A cute plaster cast of his paw prints, his name, hand made clay flowers attached to it, arrived in the mail! We put our last cat to sleep 2 days ago (18 years old) and I'm still astounded by the compassionate staff! One can judge a practice by the staff, how long they've been at the practice, and their attitudes, as well as the competency of the Drs. This office is clean, comfortable and your pet is treated with extreme care! Read Less

I could only give you 5 stars, but you actually deserve all the stars in the universe. Two weeks ago, my husband, Randy Freeman, and I brought our little girl, Molly, to see them for an emergency visit. When we got her there, the entire staff was wonderful. Molly was actually dying. She had a bad infection and also found out she had swallowed a penny at some time during her life. Dr. Williams was very honest with us about what was going on and she needed surgery. She was given a 25% survival rate to make it through the surgery. We asked them to do everything they could to save her. We were not ready to loose her because she is so much a part of our family. She made it through surgery, but was not yet out of the woods. We went to see her the next day and she couldn't even lift her head up. We were told that her heart rate and temp was dropping, but they and we still had hope. Went to visit her again four days after surgery and she was up and walking and so happy to see us. We got to take her outside and walk around with her. It was a very happy moment. Our Molly was on her way to recovering. We got to bring her home the next day. After a couple of days at home she was coming around slowly. It has now been two weeks and she is back to her normal self. We are so thankful to Dr. Williams, Dr. Price,Dr. Diley and the entire staff for all of their caring and never giving up hope on Molly. This is by far the best vet clinic I have been to. A lot of local clinics just don't seem to put in the effort or care that Black Creek does. Dr Price is so kind and takes to heart that the animals in my life are my children. Darlene is such an angel and takes care of us, like family. These phenomenal people have become family to me over the past years. They stayed late to take in my sweet Hunk. They cared for him, let me cry as much as I needed, and gave him dignity even after his death. Today I picked up his remains and they were just as heart broken as I was. Let me begin by saying this place is amazing. Their new facility is gorgeous! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I called in and got an appointment same day. My dog is very fearful. They were very willing to sit with him and feed him treats to make him more comfortable. They also followed up 3 days later to make sure that the treatment was working which I found to be so sweet. Before going my husband and I read the previous reviews stating how this vet office is expensive. We were very worried we'd end up spending a lot of money but we're pleasantly surprised to see their prices are pretty spot on (and affordable) compared to our previous vet in the last state we lived in. My only negative was we had an appointment for 3pm. We didn't go back to the room till about 3:40pm and the vet didn't come till a little after 4pm. The vet tech did come back and apologize for the wait though. I understand that certain cases may take longer which is why I'm not docking any stars. Read Less

Beautiful Building. I was pleasantly surprised as I drove up to this facility. I was already angry, because I'd gone to the Orange Park location thinking this was where I had scheduled Mollies appointment. After being told I had to go to the Middleburg location, I was highly upset. Then I turned onto CR 218 and Saw this massive Bldg. My mouth flew open. Miss Mollie was excited as well, and the staff were very nice and accommodating. The nurses and the doctors were the icing on the cake. I will not mind driving to this location in the future. After going somewhere and asking for specific testing on my cat and them not doing it i brought him here. We have the answer and a plan figured out 2 days after my visit. Our cat was on death's door, so we rushed her here, as her normal vet was closed. We (and more importantly our cat Jazzy) was treated so well, this is our new vet. Turned out our cat was diabetic, Dr Price and his staff not only saved her, but he personally took the time to explain everything, and answer all of our questions. I see a lot of good reviews, but my view on this place is of greed. I have had two experiences here and it is my last. First my dog was given a shot for which I did not give my permission for, which most Vet's don't even give because of the risk to your pet. and when I called after looking at my receipt, I was talked down to like I am a moron. Second I took my daughter's dog there for a shot strictly for boarding purposes, as she has her own vet, and I was just helping her out, and it is close to where I live. they were so desperate to find something as she doesn't use them for her vet, that Dr. McGuinness says she has tartar on her teeth (as this dog is the vision of health) and what was her plan for that, and I said I don't thinks she is interested as it is so expensive, and besides what did dogs do before they started cleaning teeth, and she says to me they died at 5, what a bunch of bs. no on should try to shame you into anything shame on them greed is a sin. I'm giving 5 starts because they staff is awesome. But you will get knocked across your head in price. They knock your head off and see if you're going to pick it up and put it back on. I just moved back to the Jacksonville area and had previously used and loved Black Creek so of course I was going to take my babies to Black Creek. Well I have to say I will NEVER go back to them again. I went to the Orange Park location and am so very angry at how uncaring they were to my babies. All that matter was raising my bill higher instead of listening to me and realizing I know my babies better than anyone. Price is not an issue but I am NOT going to do things to them just to do it. All of my babies are well taken care of and spolied! I have worked with and been to many vets as I have worked with rescue groups for many years and do not recommend anyone going to them or seeing Dr. Catasus. Needless to say I am looking for a new vet. For me it's all about my babies and how you treat them and listen to me and work with me not against me. Read Less

We just moved out into the Middleburg area and I needed a vet close by to see my dog who had developed an eye infection of some kind. My regular vet was clear across town in Orange Park. A neighbor recommended that I call Black Creek Vet Hospital as he took all his animals there. So I did. They got me in the very next day and made sure my dog was taken care of. The staff was very friendly, extremely helpful and very tentative to my dog's medical needs. I will definitely be going back.Read Less
