I haven't gone there in years. I used to take my dogs there but once the Dr. Examined a dog he would say "ill be back" and disappears into the back. 10 minutes later someone else comes out of the back and presents me with a list of tests that they recommend, all with individual prices to be done all adding up to more or less than $1000 in total. Then I'm asked to pick which ones I would like to do. ARE YOU FU***NG KIDDING ME? How the he'll am I supposed to know what tests my dog needs? I GUESS THEY TEST THE OWNER FIRST TO SEE HOW MUCH THEY CAN AFFORD TO SPEND!!! This seems to be a "HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE YOUR PET TEST". TEST. HOW EMOTIONAL ARE YOU AND HOW VULNERABLE ARE YOU TEST. Very Unprofessional, Immoral, unethical and insulting. I have another vet that actually takes care of my dogs for whatever they need and they don't play on my emotions, and never overcharged me or asked what tests they need. They just do what is necessary and I never have to question my services. Piece of mind and peace in my mind when I go to my current vet.. Pasadena Animal Clinic and Dr. Stone. Tells it like it is and just takes care of your fur babies. More interested in your pets health than your wallet. He is the only Dr. There so deal with him every time. I've been to a lot of Vets in my life and this man has a Moral Compass to his clientele. You owe it to YOURSELF, YOUR WALLET AND YOUR PET to go visit Dr. STONE. Read Less

The clinic has really improved. They recently expanded and updated and I can see the difference. Before the wait time was not that great and I had to clear my afternoon just to take my dog to her appt, but now the service is faster without sacrificing quality. Please give the front desk girl a raise! She's there in the morning time and her name starts with an A! What an attentive and caring human being I wish I could hire her and snatch her away. Since the moment I stepped foot in the office and felt so welcomed by her and her energy was great.I had my eyeless kitty spayed here and it was easy and convenient, they called me once she was out of the surgery and made sure I knew every single updated after everything. Took our new puppy for a wellness check after having the worst experience ever at another "vet". The staff is very helpful and friendly. We felt very comfortable here. Clean office/rooms. The doctor was helpful and well educated on french bulldogs. I find this very important since they are such a special breed. He did not seem bothered at all by my million questions. Thank you! I brought a stray kitten that I found in the rain shivering to them this morning. The kitten has a terrible eye infection. I paid for them to treat the kitten, and they are boarding it until it reaches one pound to turn it over to the humane society. I was a huge supporter of this Vet Clinic for over 11 years up until Saturday October 14, 2017. I had my 4 English Bulldogs in their care and spent over $10,000 in fees with them and their Specialists. I had my dog Pepper in for a rabies shot on Saturday and noticed the file read "Do not mention Deceased" on a sticky and my male dogs name below it Bodhi. I asked the attending Doctor to go into the file and only Pepper's info was available. Now, my male dog was in the care of... my ex since April 2017....I took care of him alone for the last 2 years. Casey, at the Vets office that knows me refused to let me know if he had passed!!!! Bodhi did in fact pass away 2 days ago!! I expect a follow up phone call from Dr. Mendez with the details out of respect and courtesy. Casey I will definitely look into the legal aspect and I know that every document in the file pertained to Pepper so lying to me that you will remove all Bodhi's paperwork is not sitting well with me. I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Mendez, driving from Miami to Miramar because I have been extremely impressed by The doctor and all is his staff.Every time I have called I have been called back immediately and my questions and worries have been addressed right away . The staff is warm contrary to many other vet clinics where you feel there is no connection between patient and care givers. Not only that but Dr Mendez is extremely thorough .has already performed a C-section for one of my dogs,I was there during the procedure and was very impressed to see him during surgery. He and his assistants were methodical and extremely competent; his experience is undeniable. This is Why I drive all the way from Miami to go see him . My dogs are my family and I will always take them where they will get the best care. I highly recommend his clinic. Read Less

Whoever does the fecal test needs to learn how to do a real one. The clinic claimed they did one and it came out negative. The following day as I was picking up after my dog, I not only picked up his poop but I got a handful of roundworms. The worse part was that I explained to them the exact symptoms of intestinal parasites but it somehow was still "negative". Be careful for clinics like these. They don't really care for your pup. STAY AWAY! Some of the vet assistants in this place are ignorant of what is going on with animals, or themselves. My dog almost gets double rabies shots because they are unorganized, they kept confusing my dog with another dog. They also set my up with an appointment for which i asked to be there early so i could just wait for my dog, to arrive there and be told that i needed to leave him there when the other assistant clearly told me it was not necessary. Follow by some obnoxious girl talking over me in a condescending tone so rude i never went back, not to mention that same girl a few days prior; while i was setting up my appointment was talking so loud while i was talking to the other girl, we both glanced with surprise. so very little professionalism, this place has no class nor customer service. The doctor is ok, he has no facial expression, no smile, and all i heard was we need to remove this and that and operate this IF this doesn't happen; in other words they only want your money. To close, the reason i took my dog there was for a skin condition, he was given the wrong medication, his condition was getting worse and worse, my poor baby was losing hair all over the place i was desperate. i decided to take him somewhere else and he got much better within a week, the new vet told me the medication he was provide with was to attack his condition when is located in one spot, when his condition is located in different parts of the body it is totally known that the medication is different or at least a good vet should know that. Just got my litter of shiba puppies 1st round of shots today at Quality Care Animal Hospital. I keep coming back here because everyone really seems to love their job and treat both their clients and their pets like their own family. The veterinarian is also very professional and loving when handling my dog. My shibas have always felt at ease with the entire staff.. as if they were all secretly dog whisperers lol I recommend them to anyone in the Miramar Area! Read Less
