I had a horrible experience when I went to this vet with my dogs. First, I paid close to $1100 for services which I thought was very overpriced. They performed dental extractions on both of them. I was horrified when I found out they pulled 11 teeth from my female and also gave her vaccines without my consent. I'm against vaccines and only do titer testing. My male dog continued having mouth problems after his dental with them, so I sought out a new vet. The new vet did dental X-rays and found out that Mount Dora left 3 retained roots in his mouth which his why he was still in pain. I was so upset for my babies and I wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone.

What started off as a promising visit turned into a nightmare. These people tried to charge me an extra $49 for a booster flu shot for my dog due 2-3 weeks later. I asked these people point blank during my 1st visit if there were any EXTRA fees due when I return in a few weeks for the booster shot and they said no. Because I'm the cautious type, I asked a few more times and was told No, Sir, absolutely not. They changed their tune today. I refused to pay that fee and if they insist on making me into a liar, these people should sue me! Suffice it to say, my relationship with this place is OVER. Such dishonest people. I would not recommend you to a rat.

Don't go on a Sat thinking they will gladly help you like the Web site suggests. I was met with stressed and unfriendly reception staff who implied that they were to busy to see my very sick Cat because I did not have an appointmnet. I suggested maybe I should go to a different facility that was open until 5pm, and they agreed that would be best and even named the clinic I am sitting at now with my very sick Cat waiting to be seen. They'd already had 2 emergencies and looks like a 3rd was just.too much for them.

We have trusted our pet care needs to Mt. Dora Veterinary Clinic for over 10 years. They have been there for my family through the joys of bringing home a new pet to the trials and tribulations of caring for geriatric pets in their final stages of life. We count on them for vet care and for boarding services. They were also there for me when I found a stray baby raccoon and had no idea what to do with the little critter.
By far the best testimony for the level of care provided by Mt. Dora Veterinary Clinic comes from our dearly departed border collie. She was very shy and not particularly fond of other people or car rides. The only way we could get her in the vehicle was to tell we are going to see the vet. Once we were there, she was treated like royalty. The entire staff knew her by name. That is when you know your vet and his support staff can be trusted.

We recently lost our little rescue, Andy, to congestive heart failure. From the 1st day we got him until he crossed the Rainbow Bridge after 20 months, Dr. Beau and his staff were attentive to his needs. They coordinated with UF Small Animal Hospital to ensure that he got what he needed. When he passed, they called and sent cards and letters of condolence. We have used this clinic for 9 years with 3 dogs. They are family to us.

After relocating clear across the country recently, finding a new vet in whom we could entrust the care of our ShihTzu was of utmost importance. We were thrilled with how efficient and caring the staff at Mt Dora Veterinary Hospital all were. We were also amazed how quickly and informational her new patient exam was handled. Dr Carter was amazing. As was her aide, Dan. The office ladies were great by handling our pre-appointment info which saved us time. Usually our "girl" is nervous and whiny for the entire vet visit. She actually calmed down and became quite the calm patient! I attribute that to their gentleness and God-given gift to handle animals. They seem to truly love what they do. You can and

There is no doubt that the doc is good and personable. It was pricey. I think it would be nice to be fully informed of my charges to know what I'm agreeing to before its too late. I think the parking lot needs a better way to get the animals into office without having to walk on hot pavement. The whole experience was a little awkward. I would like to give them a 3.5 star.

Beyond impressed with this veterinary hospital. Doctor & staff are fantastic & realistic. Saw my 150 pound bullmastiff, Porterhouse, today as an emergency visit. Right on time. Nurse came to meet us in the truck because, as it turns out, he was diagnosed with a snakebite to his paw & was having a hard time moving around. They made sure the treatment area was "ready" for him and took great care bringing him into the facility & under treatment. Even accounting for travel time, my husband was home in an hour; unheard of. So very lucky to have found this practice & highly recommend! Thank you and keep up the wonderful work!

They were able to get my puppy's prescription kibble in 2 days when I could not order it from the manufacturer or the manufacturer's subsidiary vet clinic.My puppy suffered for over a year with an ear irritation that multiple vets at the big clinic didn't cure. Dr. Beau instantly diagnosed and treated the issue.The staff all line up to spoil my puppy rotten when he prances in the door. Words can not express the great service, professionalism, compassion and dedication the Vet and his staff profess through their work at this place. We called for assistance and they made their best to accommodate us for an appointment the same day. The place is well located, clean and organized. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We didn't wait more than 8 minutes after we checked in and we were provided with all the documentation. I felt that their pricing for services were also very reasonable.
They received our beloved pet of 11 years for the first time, gave us professional input of his state, the options we had, and the course of action they recommended. They guided us through the process and provided us with so much compassion and level of care that I will be forever thankful for all they did for my dog. My family and I are truly grateful.

I scheduled an appointment with this hospital because my rescue dog Bella received a positive heartworm test from another facility and I chose Mount Dora Vet Hospital because they were rated very high on the treatment list. They recommend that she be retested to confirm her diagnosis prior to treatment. I am so happy that they did this and commend their protocol for treating animals at their clinic. Thank you Mount Dora Vet Hospital for not only saving our baby pain and suffering from the treatment but also a very costly, and unnecessary treatment.

I was traveling from out of town when my elderly Weimaraner's health took a bad turn. Watching a dear pet suffer is awful, being far from your usual sources of assistance makes it so much worse. I found Dr. Beau and MDVH through yelp. The staff was so incredibly helpful and supportive on the phone, I made an appointment for both the lil old lady dog and my puppy. I was not misplaced in my decision - This place is wonderful. First off, you know these folks love pets from the minute you arrive. There is a beautiful waiting area and pet relief area outside. Inside, the lobby exudes pet love; the walls are not just filled with the doc's diplomas (as well as his dad's; this is a family business) but also pet friendly supplies and healthy supportive items. The staff is extremely friendly; just listening to other waiting pet mommas, you know that they treat everyone as family. The exams of the dogs proved to us that not only were these pet lovers with a great family business, but highly skilled providers as well. The care of both dogs was stellar. The care of our family after a really tough decision had been made was superb. These folks treated us as their own family when we had just met and walked in the door. We are in the process of relocating to the area so finding a great vet was already on the to-do list. This one to-do is clearly checked off; we've transferred the care of our pets to MDVH and Dr. Beau. You can't do better than this wonderful, supportive vet.

I suggested maybe I should go to a different facility that was open until 5pm, and they agreed that would be best and even named the clinic I am sitting at now with my very sick Cat waiting to be seen. They'd already had 2 emergencies and looks like a 3rd was just.too much for them.

We have trusted our pet care needs to Mt. Dora Veterinary Clinic for over 10 years. They have been there for my family through the joys of bringing home a new pet to the trials and tribulations of caring for geriatric pets in their final stages of life. We count on them for vet care and for boarding services. They were also there for me when I found a stray baby raccoon and had no idea what to do with the little critter.
By far the best testimony for the level of care provided by Mt. Dora Veterinary Clinic comes from our dearly departed border collie. She was very shy and not particularly fond of other people or car rides. The only way we could get her in the vehicle was to tell we are going to see the vet. Once we were there, she was treated like royalty. The entire staff knew her by name. That is when you know your vet and his support staff can be trusted.

We recently lost our little rescue, Andy, to congestive heart failure. From the 1st day we got him until he crossed the Rainbow Bridge after 20 months, Dr. Beau and his staff were attentive to his needs. They coordinated with UF Small Animal Hospital to ensure that he got what he needed. When he passed, they called and sent cards and letters of condolence. We have used this clinic for 9 years with 3 dogs. They are family to us.

After relocating clear across the country recently, finding a new vet in whom we could entrust the care of our ShihTzu was of utmost importance. We were thrilled with how efficient and caring the staff at Mt Dora Veterinary Hospital all were. We were also amazed how quickly and informational her new patient exam was handled. Dr Carter was amazing. As was her aide, Dan. The office ladies were great by handling our pre-appointment info which saved us time. Usually our "girl" is nervous and whiny for the entire vet visit. She actually calmed down and became quite the calm patient! I attribute that to their gentleness and God-given gift to handle animals. They seem to truly love what they do. You can and

I just moved to Mount Dora and took my Golden Retriever Sam to see Dr. Beau and we were both so happy with everyone there. We felt very welcomed and I feel that Sam will be in good hands.

There is no doubt that the doc is good and personable. It was pricey. I think it would be nice to be fully informed of my charges to know what I'm agreeing to before its too late. I think the parking lot needs a better way to get the animals into office without having to walk on hot pavement. The whole experience was a little awkward. I would like to give them a 3.5 star.

Beyond impressed with this veterinary hospital. Doctor & staff are fantastic & realistic. Saw my 150 pound bullmastiff, Porterhouse, today as an emergency visit. Right on time. Nurse came to meet us in the truck because, as it turns out, he was diagnosed with a snakebite to his paw & was having a hard time moving around. They made sure the treatment area was "ready" for him and took great care bringing him into the facility & under treatment. Even accounting for travel time, my husband was home in an hour; unheard of. So very lucky to have found this practice & highly recommend! Thank you and keep up the wonderful work!

They were able to get my puppy's prescription kibble in 2 days when I could not order it from the manufacturer or the manufacturer's subsidiary vet clinic.My puppy suffered for over a year with an ear irritation that multiple vets at the big clinic didn't cure. Dr. Beau instantly diagnosed and treated the issue.The staff all line up to spoil my puppy rotten when he prances in the door. We called for assistance and they made their best to accommodate us for an appointment the same day. The place is well located, clean and organized. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We didn't wait more than 8 minutes after we checked in and we were provided with all the documentation. I felt that their pricing for services were also very reasonable.
They received our beloved pet of 11 years for the first time, gave us professional input of his state, the options we had, and the course of action they recommended. They guided us through the process and provided us with so much compassion and level of care that I will be forever thankful for all they did for my dog. My family and I are truly grateful.

I was so impressed with this facility! I scheduled an appointment with this hospital because my rescue dog Bella received a positive heartworm test from another facility and I chose Mount Dora Vet Hospital because they were rated very high on the treatment list. They recommend that she be retested to confirm her diagnosis prior to treatment. I am so happy that they did this and commend their protocol for treating animals at their clinic. Thank you Mount Dora Vet Hospital for not only saving our baby pain and suffering from the treatment but also a very costly, and unnecessary treatment.

I love that the first approach was to treat my pups need conservatively to see if that was enough. They answered ALL my questions and didn't make me feel rushed. I was traveling from out of town when my elderly Weimaraner's health took a bad turn. Watching a dear pet suffer is awful, being far from your usual sources of assistance makes it so much worse. I found Dr. Beau and MDVH through yelp. The staff was so incredibly helpful and supportive on the phone, I made an appointment for both the lil old lady dog and my puppy. I was not misplaced in my decision - This place is wonderful. First off, you know these folks love pets from the minute you arrive. There is a beautiful waiting area and pet relief area outside. Inside, the lobby exudes pet love; the walls are not just filled with the doc's diplomas (as well as his dad's; this is a family business) but also pet friendly supplies and healthy supportive items. The staff is extremely friendly; just listening to other waiting pet mommas, you know that they treat everyone as family. The exams of the dogs proved to us that not only were these pet lovers with a great family business, but highly skilled providers as well. The care of both dogs was stellar. The care of our family after a really tough decision had been made was superb. These folks treated us as their own family when we had just met and walked in the door. We are in the process of relocating to the area so finding a great vet was already on the to-do list. This one to-do is clearly checked off; we've transferred the care of our pets to MDVH and Dr. Beau. You can't do better than this wonderful, supportive vet.
