Worst vet I have ever used. We took our 12 year old pup to see Dr. Reiff because she was having a hard time with her back leg. Dr. Reiff pulled on my lips back leg until she howled, ran some blood and urine tests, but took no exrays. Dr. Reiff told us our pup had a torn ligament but nothing could be done, however she gave us pills for what she said was a urinary infection and a kidney infection. This went on for a week and a half, and three more visits. On the last visit we were told my pup was doing better. The very next day we had to take our pup to the emergency pet hospital. They took ONE ex ray and found that she had extreme internal bleeding which was caused by a large mass on her spleen, which was most likely cancer. And also found that she did not have a torn ligament, instead her leg was not even in her hip socket!! We ended up having to say goodbye to our beloved Reagan!! What a trooper she was....she didn’t let us know how much pain she was in!! And this all could have been found earlier so she wouldn’t have had to suffer in silence!! One simple ex ray from a vet who should have known that this was a common issue with this breed. DO NOT TRUST YOUR PETS WITH NAPLES SAFARI ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! Read Less

The vetinarian here diagnosed my dog's problem and got him cured. They got him in quickly and on the right meds. When I needed a refill, no problem. The turn off of Vanderbilt Rd is a little tricky so be looking for it. Read Less

We have taken our pets to Safari for the past 9 years.  Our dog a pug/beagle mix is very spoiled and getting up in years at now 13.  The staff at the front desk has been at Safari for many years and know our pets needs and are always professional.  The back room staff is also very good and accommodating.As mentioned our pet is spoiled at home and when he returns from Safari after a 4 to full week stay is content, bright eyed and we know that our pets are well cared for.We have recommended Safari to many friends and family over the years and give them our highest rating. I almost never write online reviews but after how wonderful Dr. Reiff and the staff at Naples Animal Safari were during the passing of my beloved dog, I feel compelled to do so. I have been taking my animals there for 10 years and they always get the best care and compassion. My dog also does daycare there 3-4 days a week and he LOVES it. I absolutely loved Naples Animal Safari. I had been going there for around 7 years. I recently decided I would not be returning due to the receptionists, especially the gentleman who works up front. I am always met with what seems like an attitude and it makes me feel like when I call or come there, I am just an inconvenience to him or that I am stupid. I am taking my dog elsewhere from now on. I board my dog here all the time and take her here for all her vet needs.  The staff are true animal lovers and are awesome.  My dog loves going here and gets excited every time we pull up.  Her tail wags and she runs right in, the ultimate review straight from the my dog!  I am an animal lover and would recommend this place to anyone! We are part-time residents every year and we always travel with our baby (she's only 3). She was acting strange and began having issues (I'll spare the details). I hadn't had the need to find a vet until now. I called early, got an appointment the same day, was seen, treated and medicated at an extremely reasonable rate. Do not recommend! Picked up our Chihuahua and was given back filthy bedding that had to be thrown out. He also had an injury on the top of his nose, which is apparently from hitting the cage door because he was left alone in a dirty cage for hours...possibly days! We just had our two Golden Retrievers in for a personality test for several hours to determine if they were appropriate for being with other dogs. Both the staff in the front office as well as day care were warm, friendly and verbal in letting us know how the dogs reacted to a new environment. The dogs, by their body language told us they had also had a wonderful visit. We will now be boarding our fur balls here in the future. Read Less

Stopped in for first time to evaluate whether to book my dog for boarding.  The facility wasn't clean, smelled, the outdoor yards were grass which was mostly dead, and extremely muddy and flooded.  When we went back inside the girl just finished saying they clean the dogs if they get dirty out there, and we walked by a pen with a wire-haired terrier who was caked in mud!   I was shocked.  Clearly this isn't the primary concern of this veterinarian.   Terrifying place. As soon as we turn onto Vanderbilt Rd our dog starts spinning circles in the car - she absolutely adores day care! Having the vet onsite offers huge sense of assurance and it's apparent that the whole office genuinely loves animals. When my cat was mauled by a raccoon he spent weeks here, we thought we were going to lose him. He was saved by this highly-skilled and caring team, I am forever grateful. My wife and I left our dog at Naples Safari for one week. We paid for the "Safari Suite" ($50.00 per day) which included boarding, daycare and a shampoo before pick-up. The day we picked up our dog we greeted the girl behind the desk & George (who we contracted with at the beginning). Neither one said "hello" or "be right with you" nothing. Finally, another worker came out with our dog, the girl behind the desk gave us our bill. My wife paid it and off we went. Not a "your dog was very good, or bad" or any comment at all. When we got to our hotel we noticed how filthy our dogs chest, stomach, and ears were. I couldn't believe it. We had to pay for a dog wash as soon as we got home with her. Plus she has had the bowel problems since we got home. Never again, it makes you not want to trust any Pet Boarding place. Although we have had good ones in Illinois. Read Less

Stopped in for some dog food for my pet and was met by the most miserable, surly front office staff I have met in a while. Over the years I have made it a practice to never entrust the well being of my furry family members to people that I don't trust 100%. Since my pets can't give me feedback on their experience, I rely on the experience and attitude of the people I meet at the office. This place has a big flashing warning sign above it for me! I have heard wonderful things about the pet resort, but unfortunately the grooming service is really really bad.  The woman that runs it is very unprofessional and rude.  I'm scared to think how she treats our beloved pets when she can't handle herself dealing with people.  I will never ever return to there. Lady and I moved cross country to Naples Fla. We were in need of a loving and knowledgeable full service animal boarding and vet. services.My Lady Siberian spent her first week away from home and family ,with the Safari Staff .She emerged healthy and happy a week later.Most grateful thanks for the care given my much loved furry companion. They have gone above and beyond with our 4 dogs. The animals (and owners) are treated with love & compassion. We are sorry that you were unhappy with your stay at Naples Safari. To avoid any misunderstanding at check in , all of our boarding requirements are posted on our website, in our brochure, & in our lobby. This allows all potential guests to determine what may required prior boarding. Our front desk staff will be happy to confirm these requirements upon recieving written records from your veterinarian. Although our hospital and front desk is not open on Sundays, we always retain full kennel staffing on Sunday, and offer pick up by appointment. All dogs are provided separate sleeping suites at night, but dogs that have passed our temperament screen may spend all day in our cageless indoor/outdoor daycare. Read Less

Our usual cage free boarding place was booked up so we had to take our dog here for 1 night. This place is not cage free, but we were short on time and needed to board her for the night. When my wife called to book it we knew our dog would need to have two shots. She was told by an employee (I believe named George) the exam to give those shots would be complimentary. Of course , when we arrived the next day to drop her off they knew nothing of the complimentary exam. We were also informed she would need ANOTHER test. When we picked her up there was NO record of the test being done. I called and asked for a partial refund but they insisted the test was performed. Basically this place was a scam. Our usual cage free boarding charges $30 a night with pickup on any day. This place advertises $25 a night, but we were charged an additional $12 for Sunday pickup (and it's not even cage free). Along with the shots, not so complimentary exam, and the alleged test, we spent $155 for one night of boarding! Having to spend the money wasn't even the worst part. There was only 1 employee working on Sunday when we picked up our dog. We arrived around 10:30am and when we arrived home she went to the bathroom longer than we have ever seen. It was as if she had not been let out all morning to relieve herself. She was also EXTREMELY thirsty (likely due to the fact she had to pee and didn't want to consume anymore water while being boarded). Overall, I would not recommend this place. The fact that our usually playful pup was fearful when she walked in should have been enough to turn us away. I'm just glad it was only one night. Read Less

I want to stay here!  Much less my dog:) the play area is awesome.  Grass, a pool, sand box for digging!Dr. Leslie Reiff is awesome.  So knowledgeable but laid back.  Her entire staff makes you feel welcome.I am not a pet "expert" and and didn't make me feel badly that I don't always keep things updated with my dog!They let me know what my dog needed and what could wait.  What we had to get her caught up on and everything.
