Terrible and unqualified (Dr. Bear). If we didn't go to another animal hospital on time our dog would have died giving birth. Gave us attitude because we came in later then she expected and brought out one our dogs dead puppies to look at and blame us for. Words cannot describe how terrible and sociopathic this woman is. Beware of this called animal hospital. Months ago, my boyfriend and I had brought 2 of our dogs to pebblebrooke animal hospital for surgery. One of our girls had a surgery to remove her bladder stones. The other had a surgery to remove the lump in her necks. The one did both surgeries was Dr. Nicholson, (the part time veterinarian who works there). We had so much confidence on her at first, and once they were done, we picked up our girls before the clinic was closed. Immediately, once we brought our girls home in the evening, one of them let out painful cries. We brought our girls immediately the next day to Dr. Bair, who is the regular vet there. Dr. Bair examined and right away concluded that my girl was depressed, due to her bladder surgery. She prescribed oral medicine as antibiotic and anti pain medication. She checked my other girl, and just wrapped the wound in her neck. The next day, we saw no improvement on both girls. The one being said as depressed still didn't want to eat, and had difficulty with urinating etc. The other one, despite being wrapped in bandage, we could see the fluid in her neck wound. My boyfriend worked in long hour, and being naive as we were, we still believed to bring our girls there. Dr Nicholson or Dr Bair, also prescribed oral medicine to make my girl eat, and she still didn't want to eat at all. We took our girls again there, Dr. Bair checked on my girl and said there was nothing wrong with her, although we told Dr Bair that she had heavy breathing and had been acting weird, moved and acted very slow. Dr. Bair just injected her with medicine to gain her appetite, and she stapled my other girl's wound. Still there was no improvement on my girl. At night, we decided to bring her to other veterinarian the next day. But, very early in the morning, suddenly my girl scream in pain, and she stopped breathing. My boyfriend performed CPR on her, but couldn't get her back to life. We were devastated, especially after being told by Dr. Nicholson who was performed autopsy on our girl, that she died because there was leak on her bladder, and she indirectly admitted that they didn't place urinary catheter,yet we got billed for that. We lost our girl, and no one said sorry for our lost, except one vet technician, who is happened to know us. We really think that they didn't do right on the surgery, thus there was leak, in addition to the conclusion and treatment given by their vets. Dr. Bair even bravely suggested to do another surgery on my other girl, because she thought that they needed to sew her wound again! It will never happened again, as we brought our other girl to other veterinarian. The new clinic drained the fluid in my girl's neck and treated the wound. There was no additional surgery needed, as suggested by Dr. Bair. Now the wound in her neck is healed. Thanks God. Every one has different opinion, but like two of the reviewers, i suggest you do some research on this veterinarian clinic. I would just like to warn all pet owners to do your research before you choose this vet. I found out the hard way when my 6 year old pomeranian went in for a routine dental cleaning & got called 4 hours later saying she didn't make it. She does not monitor by machine, she didnt even have my poor baby set up with an IV, so when she needed to try to get her out of cardiac arrest she couldn't respond quickly enough. Please do what I failed to do & research the pet hospital that you choose to entrust your precious pets with . Ask if they use machines to monitor their pulse & heart rate & oxygen saturation during procedures & recovery. make sure that there is an IV in place in case of emergency regardless of the time that they are under. pets should be treated with all of the precautions that humans are treated with while under anesthesia. Please do all that you can to avoid the tragedy that we are faced with. My baby deserved more & I'll regret the choice I made for the rest of my life . Read Less

PLEASE BEWARE OF BRINGING YOUR PRECIOUS PET TO DR BAIR. I never leave negative reviews .. but I can not consciously let what happened to our baby possibly happen to another animal in Dr Bair's care. Dr Bair has treated our dogs for the past 10 years .. on May 2, 2016., at her suggestion , I brought my 6 year old pomeranian baby to her for a dental cleaning. This would be the third time that Dr Bair would be administering anesthesia to her ( once for spaying & once for a dental) . I dropped my little dog off at the office at 9 am & got a call at 1:00 pm from the doctor saying that she stopped breathing & they did all they could do. WHAT HAPPENED?? There was no real explanation , just that "things happen" she was not a high risk patient ....I have two other dogs that are 11 years old and had another dog live to14 years . I would have never brought her in if this was AT ALL a risk to her. not only didn't she even apologize that day, but when I returned the day after for clarification , this time she told me this time that her heart had stopped, and she did all that she could do. Still no apology , or phone call. I brought her a lively. beautiful little dog , I entrusted her with the joy of our family & I have to pick up a deceased animal 4 hours later. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research BEFORE you let your pet get anesthetized . please choose a veterinary hospital that uses monitors and machines to detect pulse rate , heart rate, oxygen saturation levels etc... and that has on hand anything that they may need in case an emergency arises. (Dr Bair doesn't use any of this , she relies on hearing & feeling & visual). Unfortunately for our Bettina this information comes too late. I have come to the conclusion that she either received too much anesthesia or the office was ill equipped to tend to her needs when she went into crisis. I hope this review helps to not have anyone else live through the nightmare of unnecessarily losing a beloved pet .Read Less

Before today I would've given them 5 stars as they have been my vet since I moved here 2 years ago. But after today I'm convinced the vet here couldn't care less about the health of my pup. My boy (almost 16 yrs old lab) has a UTI that is extremely painful for him. Same thing he had over a year ago. These folks gave him some meds that cured him in 2 days. They refuse to give me the same meds unless they saw him so they can pull blood work. "I even brought a urine sample in Incase they tried something like this but they needed blood, which means they really needed money. I explained he's 15 yrs old, and cannot ride in the car anymore due to his arthritis, and I will pay however much they needed to make my baby feel better and they refused. There hours of operation are great for those that work. They are open until 6PM on FRI, MON, WED. 7PM on TUES, THUR. SATURDAYS 8AM to 2PM. Wait time was less than 5 minutes, the Vet was very informative and approachable to ask any questions that I had. Staff was friendly and laid back. Getting a grooming appointment during season does need a week or two notice. Read Less

I am very happy with Pebblebrooke Animal Hospital. The Vet is very nice and gentle with my kitten when administering shots. The staff is also very nice and helpful. They answer all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this place to bring your pets! Read Less

I have been taking my cat Bugsy, here for 2 years. We have consistently received  great care. Dr Bair is reasonably priced compared to other vets in the area and is very knowledgeable. I trust her greatly. Read Less
