*DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE* I wouldnt even rate this vet a 1 star. We had adopted a stray cat that we brought into a shelter hanging around our house, he was then brought to this vet by the shelter to get neutered. I had called Dr. Oliver at PineGate veterinarian center to see what time i could pick up my cat he said he could have him ready by 2:30. Around 1:00 i received a call, Dr.Oliver rudely said “ you know how you were gonna pick up your cat early? Well thats not gonna happen i put the mask on to do the surgery and he turned blue, hes dead he must have had an underlying disease” We then were very disturbed how he acted so we let the shelter know they picked him up and we went to Pine Gate to get the paper work. The office was disgusting, a parrot bleeding from its wing looked like it was half missing, and blood all over the floor. The Dr. couldn’t even come say anything to us, it took him over an hour to type up a paper that said animal died during castration, meanwhile you can hear cats in the back rooms crying like ive never heard before. On the paper we received with the details of his surgery, the Dr. didn’t even have his sex written down and his weight was at 0.00. We had a necropsy done on his tissues and all of the organs and the results finally came back, thank goodness we followed our gut feeling because the results showed that cat was perfectly healthy, he had no underlying diseases or issues. This vet and his staff are very rude and very dirty. Read Less

Like many of other reviews here and on Yelp I have a very bad experience with this doctor. At first this Dr. was very caring and kind. I brought my cat in for dehydration and vomiting. He kept my cat overnight and fixed the situation. I really trusted him and believed everything he said. Days later he diagnosed my cat with wet FIP which is a fatal disease. He stated that our cat had high globulins. Then told us our cat would live a long life and cats do live on FIP. From doing research we knew wet Fip cats live a matter of days not years. After hearing him say that and with three others in the room we were all crying. Hours later we were worried that she had fluid in her stomach because that is what Fip does. This was at night when Dr. Oliver was closed. We rushed our cat to the ER and explained her diagnosis to the er vet who did an ultrasound and found no fluid in her stomach. We called Dr. Oliver and he changed his story and stated he never said she had wet fip. He did and that is why we brought her to the ER. Fearing even more medical bills I decided to just let it go and try to convince myself I heard the Dr. wrong. I went to see him again the next day. He injected my cat with B12 and penecillin. Within hours my cat was limping for 15 seconds at a time. At this point, I knew he injured our cat. I explained to a friend what was happening and brought my cat to another vet. They did tests and said Minnie does not have FIP at all. They also said she was probably injured from her injection. They also questioned why Dr. Oliver gave my cat Penecillin. Dr. Olivers receptionist called us to make a payment today. I was not in and my daughter answered the phone and I promptly returned the call. I said before I make a payment I would like to speak to the Dr. I asked Dr. Oliver what happened to my cat and asked why she is limping after this injection. At that point he told me I was making excuses not to pay him. There was no point in the conversation that I was not going to pay him. I just wanted to know what was wrong with my cat. He told me there is always an issue when he does billing. I paid this vet $500.00 I paid the other vets $100's of dollars as well. Clearly, this is not about money to me as I paid 3 vets in 7 days time over 1500.00. I will spare no expense for my cat. He misdiagnosed her and caused us all alot of suffering. Had I read earlier reviews online I never would have brought her here. We brought our cat to Animal Oasis who ran tests and the vet stated our cat has no FIP. Its not fun to watch your daughter crying herself to sleep staring at her cat thinking it was going to die when it never was. My cat is no longer limping she was just injured the vet said from her injection. Our new vet put our cat on a grain free diet and got her some vitamins. She is happy and healthy. Read Less

When I called him frantic with worry due to her head pressing, crying and toxicity at 2 am - he personally took my call and assisted me with how to help her, and followed up the next day assuring me she will be ok and what I can do for her moving forward. She is alive and I am blessed for Dr. Oliver taking care of her 24/7 at a critical time. Always accommodates. I want my pet to live and she is. When her time, due to natural causes not this mishap.
