I stumbled upon this clinic when I had an equine emergency and both of our regular veterinarians were unavailable. Dr Lacher and her Technician came out very quickly they were professional and knowledgeable and put us at ease with their care. Similarly, Dr. Vurgeson ,  Who came out on an emergency basis the following day , was equally as skilled, professional, and kind along with her technician.  They  handled our very sick horse so very gently and with such skill that it was impressive and left us reassured and warmed hearts. They discussed fees openly, facilitated options, and we got to meet two very nice doctors and their  very nice technicians.   One hopes to never have a horse down with severe colic but if you do you can call Spring Hill equine with great confidence knowing that your beloved pets will have the best of care. I would like to thank Dr Lacher for taking great care of Sophia and Spriggy for me over the last few years. Yesterday she microchipped both horses, which is a very inexpensive safety measure. Dr Lacher has given my old retired horse Spriggy 15 additional good months and still counting, by fusing his ankle after I thought that high ringbone meant an end to his life! Sophia is still jumping and sound @15 years old which is a direct reflection on the care that she has received. Dr. Lacher offered a microchip special . After much discussion, we decided to have our horses microchipped in spite of our freeze brand. Doubtful that they would be stolen; however, in the event of heavy rains and wind, trees could easily fall on our fences and out they could go. We live in a rural neighborhood where "loose" horses are quickly identified and returned via the human telegraph, but decided to err on the side of caution in the event of natural disaster here or while traveling with our horses. -so last night was yet another long night and every horse owners nightmare. Dr. Lacher has been more than a miracle for me and my horses. Not only has she answered my emergency calls at 3am but she stays right there with me the whole time it's like having her by my side! Last year i had a mare deliver a foal that sadly did not make it. Dr. Lacher helped direct and guide my every move to try and resuscitate the baby. Last night my beloved mare started to colic, I called and without missing a beat she was ready to take me in. I loaded her up and headed to Newberry.((yes Newberry but it's worth the drive when you receive A++ care!)) Dr. Lacher is very confident in her work and is also conservative, something you don't see much of now a days. After I brought my mare home last night she was still showing signs of gas pain. Once again Dr. Lacher stayed up with me on the phone checking on my mare and calming my nerves. This is only 2 of many occasions when I have had her jump to my horses and mines rescue.
