Even one star is too much to rate my experience.I brought Bob on September 26, 2018, he was wining, retching and pooping blood with an extreme foul smell. I explained Dr Margarita Davila my experience at the emergency room the previous night and I was hoping she could help curing Bob. She left, and her assistant came in with a $2000, - dollar bill. It was very disturbing Dr Davila did not came in with the bill herself to explain since I was already overwhelmed with my baby being sick. Also, the bill already contained medicines without her even knowing what was wrong and X-rays on day 2! Not too lose time I specifically ask Dr Davila for the first best steps to take and that my concern was he had parvo (after doing online research) She told me she would run those tests and we would go from there. I left thinking Bob was in good hands. She was supposed to call me back soon as she got the results which she never did. I contacted her, and she told me that the tests came out negative. I was relieved and asked her for the next steps. She told me bloodwork was not necessary because that happened the night before at the emergency room. I agreed but realized later this was a big error she made! As doctor she should have known that it is very important to keep track of the bloodwork at all time, since white blood cells are a must to fight any infections! After running some other tests and not calling back again. I started to get frustrated and called again myself. She then mentioned Bob had a lot of pain in the belly.Instead of calling me about this she just waited for my call and tried to force feed him, while he could not even drink water, he had to be on the IV. Imagine him being able to eat!I suggested to make an echo to see if something was stuck in his belly. Friends advised me this after talking with them. She said that there could be something in his belly and that we could make an X-ray! After informing she said the X-ray service, she provided had no direct result. She would have to send the result to an external company and then she would receive the outcome the next day!!!! It's crazy that she even was thinking in terms of days while Bob was nonstop crying, still pooping blood and retching. Off course we did not agree and decided to pick up Bob and do an echo. She referred us finally to VCA in Hollywood. We already paid 400 something dollar and now she wanted to bill us another 200 something for basically doing nothing which we not agreed with. We rushed to the other hospital were the doctors were very professional. In the hospital they asked for the results of the tests that Bayshore Veterinary Clinic ran. She was supposed to send me the results by email and even after me calling and specifically asking Dr Davila did not even care to send them over! Resulting in VCA having to lose extra time doing additional tests. The echo showed that Bob had liquid everywhere in his belly and additional tests showed that he had parvo virus. While the parvo test at Bayshore Veterinary came out negative. It is really a shame that Dr Davila is a veterinarian. In all these lost hours at her office the virus was basically destroying all Bobs intestines Dr Davila did not care about Bob at all. I'm not an expert I trusted her expertise but knowing he had so much pain in his belly and she didn't do nothing, just waiting to collect money. Really makes me sick to my stomach. Bob died the next morning, when he arrived at the VCA hospital his white blood cells were so low his body had nothing left to fight the virus. Dr Davila was supposed to run blood test to keep close eyes on Bobs levels and propose an echo right away instead just waiting and pushing food in his mouth!It's been 2 months, but I cannot even describe how I miss him and how painful it was to cremate Bob. A part of me died with him. Bob just turned 1 year and was a little bundle of happiness and melted everybody's heart. I still cannot believe Bob is gone. Read Less

Great experience for me and my pups. Barbara squeezed me in for a last-minute emergency appointment with a smile on her face. Everyone was very friendly and the doc and vet tech were patient and informative. I don't think my dogs (and I) have ever had such a smooth experience. First time at this immaculately clean, welcoming facility. (Many other clinics smell like scared dog.) Was treated extremely well by the entire staff who explained everything and laid out options ( my small dog needed a procedure under anesthesia). Dr. Crespo is a loving and knowledgeable vet, as are the nurses. Staff made a quick appointment and were completely efficient and punctual. Highly recommend this gem! Read Less

Dr. Melissa Crespo is the most caring vet that I have ever met. She is very knowledgeable and genuine! She cares for your pet like it's her own and you can truly tell. Decided to save time and took my two chihuahuas to this clinic which is closer to my house than my usual one in Hallandale. The invoice for dental they gave me was for over $3000 and noted "likely to increase". The same services at the Hallandale clinic costed me $1300 last year. I picked up my dogs, paid $105 for an estimate (!), and drove to the old clinic. What a waist of money and time (the check-in process took hour and a half even though i made appointment in advance and they didn't have anyone else at 8am...)!Update: Thank god they gave me inflated estimate! When I warned dr Barbosa at the hallandale clinic about being careful of not breaking my chihuahuas jaw when doing dental extractions he laughed and asked how old that doctor I just saw was... He was right about that... young and pretty as any intern should be... My dogs are feeling wonderful and i saved myself at least $2000 and from "likely complications"... Read Less

Dr. Davilla, Barbara, Kristen, Charlene and all staff have been wonderful for 4 years now. Very friendly, efficient, thorough, kind and caring. It's a warm feeling coming to visit for whatever reason it is. Smiles and attention. Whether it's been a fracture, vaccinations, answering emails or filling out travel documents, all has gone very well. Recent dental cleaning and tooth extractions were done very well, very happy with the results. Reasonable prices and most important is the time, love and care given. Thank you so much. Dr. Crespo is brilliant, takes TIME with the patient, is thorough, answers all questions, explains what is happening with your pet, and is the "family physician" with whom you want to entrust your babies to the very finest care available. She is dedicated to her craft, and you are never, ever rushed because every patient room is full. Dr. Crespo's team is top-notch. I have been going to Bayshore for many years. The 2 dogs I have now are my second and third dogs I've taken there for treatment and grooming. Doctors Davila and Crespo have been right on target diagnosing and treating both dogs. They are caring and take the time to explain any issues. My previous dog, a Cocker Spaniel, lived more than 17 years. Every member of the staff is wonderful (Barbara, Kristen, the nurse techs and assistants). Charlotte does a beautiful job grooming. The phone call experience alone was a clear indication that this is not the place for my furbaby...So I just called for the second time today the first time I called the girl who answered the phone placed me on hold for a solid 3 minutes (3 min in person is nothing but 3 min in "phone land" is ridiculously long). However, after hanging up I called again which left an even worse impression... after sharing with the very same girl that I'm on a Strict Budget & would like to know the fee for a consultation as well as an estimate for an abstraction of a loose tooth that my dog Yeiyoh is struggling with that's been impairing his eating regimen which I would like to get taken care of immediately, she claimed she couldn't provide me with any insight instead she was very dismissive smh... Let me start by saying that my dogs are my babies and I want nothing but the very best for them. I am a health care provider myself and I am amazed by the staff at Bayshore. First off, Barbara is the very best- so sweet, caring, friendly...and somehow remembers every person and animal that walks through the door!!! Both Dr. Crespo and Dr. Davila are superb! Always take their time to explain anything that is going on, very knowledgeable and they truly care for our dogs. I trust them. We have 2 adopted dogs and our last adoption came from an abusive situation. For the first months after we took him home we literally could not touch him as he was so afraid. He has slowly but surely become more trusting of humans and it amazes me how comfortable he is around the Bayshore staff. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them wag their tails as they walk into the vet! I really like this place!! Pony Maria, my dog, tolerates them :). The doctors and staff here are great, understanding and patient. My dog has a difficult personality and she is a senior dog (13 yo) stuck on her ways, and they are always willing to work with her and her needs. Barbara at the front desk is very accommodating, and the techs are angels. The doctors (we come here since Dr. McCoy) are knowledgeable, caring, willing to answer a million questions and did I say extremely patient with all my dog's odd "quirks". I've taken my Luna to Bayshore since she was a puppy. She is now 10 1/2 years. Dr. Crespo has always been her Vet. Dr Crespo is wonderful. She is professional, very knowledgeable and caring. I have been a client of Dr. Crespo for more than 5 years and I will never see another vet as long as she is there. She is excellent when it comes to my German Shepherd who can sometimes be a bit moody and he loves her. I would recommend this vet to everyone. They have taken excellent care of my 14 year old lab mix (Snoop) for about the last 7 years. I used another vet in North Miami when I first moved to S. FL but that vets office was horrible! The last time I kenneled Snoop at the other vets office I arrived 30 mins early to pick him up hoping I could get him early and start my day. As soon as I opened my car door from the parking lot I could hear him yelping and crying from inside the building, and the staff just ignored him and me. I then began using Bayshore. Whenever I have to kennel Snoop they always give me a call during the stay to let me know that he is doing great, and the day after he comes home they always call to check up on him. Whenever I call the office for anything as soon as I tell them my name they always immediately ask "How is Snoop?" without looking for a file or searching to see what pet I have. This type of service makes me (and Snoop) feel like MVP's! So much so that when I moved to another county I still take Snoop there. They are also very patient and comforting to an older dog that doesn't like to be poked, prodded, and examined. Dr. Crespo is the best! Read Less

rip off , do not go there, i went there to cure my dog for skin allergy, charged me 500 dollars and did not gave me a diagnose . My many pets and I have been greatly and kindly served by Bayshore Veterinary Clinic for nearly 30 years--without ever thinking of looking elsewhere for a better vet. No such person exists. The team of Dr. McCoy and Dr. Crespo is ideal, a perfect blend of experience, full hearts, deep knowledge and--well--wisdom. It is important to me that I am able to call them even after hours or on a Sunday when there is a big worry or an emergency. They are available and always helpful. You can count on them. Sometimes when you have a sick pet, it can be difficult to think of all the questions that should be asked. They understand this and always take time to carefully explain what is going on, how it might be treated and what the outcome might be. Being doctors, they are advocates for their patients who cannot speak for themselves. What is best for the pet is always the goal. They communicate well, often phoning for an update or to offer a new idea when someone is sick. I like their thoroughness and care, and in their clinic they have modern equipment that helps make diagnoses correctly and quickly. Any veterinary care is expensive; here I believe you get great value. What makes the clinic such a special place is the staff--animal lovers all--knowledgeable, professional, efficient, helpful, polite, cheerful.
