My name is Donna and I brought a very sick kitten I found on the street....to this hospital and I didn't have 120 plus dollars to pay for treatment and was refused treatment. A sick display of greed and lack of true compassion for animals. Disgusting. I should have taken it to animals inc. on powerland first.... because today I woke up and kitten was almost dead. So.. I rushed Tilly over there and they fought to save his life... unfortunately he died few hours ago. My heart is broken. I loved him in short 2 days had him. Little Tilly tiger. So...I want all of you to know it's more than obvious that money is all that matters here. Paper backed by stupidity and lack of TRUE compassion. I understand it's a business however when u bring a very sick tiny animal in need of immediate help.... you don't say oh we don't give out free medicine. Makes me wanna vomit it's so far out of my understanding. They could have at least guided me where I could have gotten help that is willing to treat and give Free medicine for Tilly. To save a life. So huge thanks to you scum bags at this animal hospital. Keep up the good work! Hope you all wrap up tight in your money tonight...keep warm. Although my princess hates a hospital, she knew every staff member loved her and she tried to be as calm as possible. After my poor little puppy was attacked by a dog with negligent owners, I wanted to get her checked out and make sure she was okay internally. I called this location due their later hours and they were able to see her on such short notice. I did not have an appointment or anything, so I am very grateful they were able to squeeze her in. They were just as concerned about my little girl as I was, and Dr. Clarke made sure she was perfectly fine. He was very professional, kind, and caring, and I cannot recommend him more. The hospital is great ITS Very clean and well equipped and I like the fact that they can get you inn at a short notice. The boarding is as good as you can wish at any vet store. My pets stay there when I’m away for a short time and I feel that they are safe and loved there. Safety is my primary concern. Dr. Velez is very knowledgeable, she is sweet and treats me and my babies with kindness and respect. She is always smiling. She always answers my calls as she really cares for the animals. Probably provide just fine care if your pockets are deep. Everyone seemed nice and helpful at first. My dog was seen in a timely manner and everyone was polite. But it quickly became apparent that the number one priority was to convince me to sign up for the monthly care plan, even after I declined numerous times. The tech and vet just kept pushing it. After agreeing to the $200 worth of tests, and being told I would hear the results the next day, I heard nothing. After a week, I picked up the phone to see if something was wrong with my dog. I have never had to do that with a vet before. Thankfully, the tests were negative. But there was no attempt to communicate this to me, and as of now has been no follow up to see what could be causing the problem my dog is having. Quite frankly, it seems to me, that since I declined the expensive monthly care plan, and declined some of the more expensive tests, they forgot all about my dog and me. Curious to know if I had forked over more cash if the customer service would have been better. Definitely will not be returning. Read Less

I have been a client since my baby AKC Shitzu became a member of my family in July 2016. I have Never been So Pleased with the level of care at any vet hospital in Florida and I've been a professional breeder since the early '70s in PA NY & NJ where I Have indeed received outstanding care. My precious baby acquired a virus at 16 weeks old from some neighborhood dogs that have parents who do not clean up after their animals / nor do they take their animals for care and medication. VCA hospital tested Maya for everything we could think of and treated her as if she was one of their own family members! She was so ill, I was so devastated and wasn't sure due to her young age and immature immune system that she'd even survive! I was up around the clock & every day I received texts and emails from Dr Weismann and Dr Murray to check on her well being & progress. I just can't say enough good things about this hospital!!! If your pet is a True member of your family... VCA IS THE ONLY PLACE for you! By the way, she is doing fine and has grown into a fine young show dog! She is getting a baby sister in early February and I will most definitely be bringing her once she arrives! We can't wait for the staff to meet Miss Scarlett! After adopting my girl, the Humane Society of Broward recommended me to this VCA location. The proximity to home seemed fine the fact that the first check up was free was awesome. I was pleased that they were an AAHA- accredited hospital. The lobby is well kept and it seems clean. The first visit with Dr Velez-Ramos went well, but I did notice that she did not make eye contact with me EVER and her bed-side manner left something to be desired. No, biggie, I chalked it up to being tired or not having a good day and left. A few days later when walking my dog I noticed tapeworm eggs in her poop. At the wellness visit I was told that she did not have any parasites. I found it really odd, but I went in and had her examined and got an RX for her. After that I went in for the scheduled vaccinations, Dr Velez-Ramos was always distant, spoke down to me, did not elaborate on her answers and her bedside manner did not improve! At my girls 6 month wellness checkup, Dr. Velez-Ramos told me my dog was overweight (not true, on a body condition scale she would be a 5!). Dr. Velez-Ramos used scare tactics before trying to PUSH me to buy Prescription "Weight Management" food. I have awarded this location a generous 3 stars but I am in the process of finding a new Primary Vet Care for my girl. Edit: After experiencing what actual Vet care is like and shoukd be I have decided to drop the stars from 3 to 1. This location is a sorry excuse of an Animal Hospital. I wish you all well. I just got a new puppy and had to unexpectedly travel to PA for the weekend. This was the only place I could find who would take him without Rabies shots. He went in perfectly clean and healthy and when I picked him up he looked fine and dandy until I got into the car I noticed fleas crawling all around his tail. I called to complain and they offered to cure him of the fleas... However, that's not the point. The point is he went in clean and came out ridden with fleas after they supposedly bathed him before I picked him up. I'm sure you could understand my frustration when i paid all that money just to bring him back to my house with him full of fleas. It's not clean and the staff is uncaring. Read Less

We took over the care of a little puppy whose owners couldn't afford her care. She had broken her leg and her owners brought her to Imperial Point. They offered to do surgery and charged something like $3k to perform it. Dr. Summer performed the surgery according to the records and MAJORLY screwed up this poor dog's leg. When we got her less than a month after the surgery was performed, her bone was actually coming through the skin at her elbow. We took her to an orthopedic surgeon who said that whoever performed the surgery had not a clue of even the basics of this kind of surgery. They SHOULD have referred this poor dog out to someone who knew how to help her. The crazy thing is the specialist would have charged significantly LESS and the dog would probably be able to walk on that leg now. Unfortunately since Imperial Point did the surgery, this dog cannot use her leg. The muscles have atrophied and her little paw just hangs there limp and useless. I cannot believe a veterinarian who has been in business for this long would allow such (non) care at their animal hospital. Now the dog suffers for the rest of her life. Read Less

About Dr. Buzetti, I have a doberman and I choose after careful research, and other vet recommendations to seek him out. I did, he was kind, extremely knowledgeable about my breed and I had him do his ears via laser surgery. I also did all my puppy shots and neutering, and he educated me on why he automatically ties his stomach. My dog us a large breed with a deep chest and his stomach could flip and ultimately end up in death. I knew a shepherd that died from this and she was in a kennel when it happened! I will never forget that day I found her passed away, and I am glad that the doctor goes the extra mile to safe guard a possible threat to my dog. I'm also glad to say after many word to mouth referrals I am bringing my new pup doberman to him again for the same. FYI, the job on my dogs ears I get amazing compliments on his show quality cut, and my dog wasn't even bothered by the surgery. He didn't need his cone at all. Didn't paw at his ears, nothing at all. Like many pet owners, I entrust the care of my beloved dog to the best. I had chosen VCA Imperial Point Animal Hospital on a friend's recommendation so I gave the establishment a fair chance. I took my dog for yearly vaccinations and in a couple of occasions for a cough that my dog suffers from. As I began to notice, the place seemed to be a revolving door for staff in the industry. My pet was never attended by the same veterinary doctor twice. This is true to their admin staff as well. Every time I had to deal with new staff. Red flag #1. Their prices on basic services seemed to be exorbitant in comparison with other vet clinics. Since I spare no expense to take care of my pooch, I didn't mind at first but also began to notice that their staff seems to spend an awful ton of time chit chatting in the interior atrium of the clinic and less attending to pets and/or their owners. As though they truly make it a point to stay within the safe confines where no one else can see them or ask for their consult. Red flag #2. The last straw was when the last time, and the time that prompted me to switch vets, the doctor merely asked me what conditions I had noticed on my dog, then he asked me what was prescribed for her (while having my dog's file on his hand) never took a glance at it, didn't even did the usual stethoscope check for breathing, didn't even glanced to check her eyes, or nothing. 20 minutes later they came back with a $300+ bill for what was an astonishing 0:30 seconds of service. That was red flag #3. Since their staff and doctors didn't earn my patronage for the services they didn't care to provide, I will entrust the care of my dog to those who will. Maybe they are too big to even care. I calmly walked away and said, "I will be looking for a new vet and will not be coming back." Gladly I found a veterinary clinic which DOES care, and provide great service to my dog at reasonable prices and an incredibly professional staff at Bayview Animal Clinic +++ in Fort Lauderdale. Gladly only a few blocks away. PS, the friend who had referred me to VCA Imperial Point in Fort Lauderdale also moved the care of her dog to Bayview. She had the same complaints about lack of care from the staff and doctors at VCA Imperial Point and about the same things I mentioned. God bless small business in the USA. Read Less
