I am saddened to be writing a poor review of this practice. I have been a customer of KAH for about two years and really liked Dr. Fred's nutritional approach to animal care. I had the misfortune of having three elderly cats pass in the same month. During that time I and my adult children spent countless hours trying to ensure our pets received the best care. When it came time to euthanize the third, 18 year old cat, I called and made an appointment at Kingsley Animal hospital. It was a gut wrenching decision to make and was based on the cat's overall health, quality of life, and a rapid decline we felt was caused by the passing of his furry siblings. Unfortunately for us, Dr. Cindy Bayless was in that day. She came into the room after they took our cat back to insert the IV line and she treated us like dirt. She stated multiple times that she would not euthanize a healthy animal and would have to do a thorough exam before she euthanized Buster. She was rude and kept insinuating that we were just trying to kill a healthy cat. We all three stated that we were fine with her doing the exam, knowing Buster was not in good health, but she would not stop being caustic. This horrible woman took what was already a truly awful situation and managed to make it worse by basically accusing us of trying to kill a perfectly healthy cat. When she finally came back in after his exam she had concluded his heart was so weak that he was not getting enough oxygen to his brain and that was causing what appeared to be mini strokes. He was a sick baby. The problem I have with this entire situation, and the reason I am writing this review, is we all struggle with when it is the right time to let go of a pet. We had spent the month of May dealing with geriatric cats and had let two of them suffer needlessly while we tried to "save" their lives. Hind sight is 20/20. We were unwilling to do that to the third cat. To have this callous and truly awful person treat us like we were uncaring and unloving pet owners added unnecessary stress to an already devastating situation. I took the time today to call Dr. Fred and let him know what happened. Although he apologized for Dr. Bayless's callous behavior, he said there was nothing he could do about it and that everybody can have a bad day. Be forewarned that this vet is still practicing medicine at Kingsley Animal Hospital. The way you are treated when there and worse yet, the treatment and survival of your beloved pet might be determined by whether or not she is having a bad day. Read Less

We love bringing our pups here and they love it too! Everyone here is so hospitable and kind, they've taught us how to get our dogs on an ideal diet as well! Great visits every time with Winston, Vet techs are the best offer natural solutions to issue. I've started taking mine and my girlfriend's cats here. The friendliness of everyone, even the doctors, are top notch. Dr Fred was much more successful than myself at explaining to my girlfriend, the obesity of her cat and ways to correct it. The prices are also very reasonable. I've never waited more than a minute or two for a room when I have an appointment, more often though it's only seconds. That's a big deal for my skiddish cat. I can't say enough good things about this place. I am a crazy dog mom And I have been to a lot of vets that just didn't live up to my high standards for my pets. Kingsley Animal Hospital always exceeds my expectations. They even have a great app where you can reorder your pets med, make an appointment or share a fun photo of your pet. The entire staff works hard to ensure your pet's health and well being & the doctors are all amazing. They are helpful, kind and they are hands down THE BEST vet I have found. Nice people but I was lied too! All I wanted was to board my dog and just pay the boarding fee I called around and ask other places if I could board my dog there and they said he needs an exam first and the exam would be $75. (I only called one place before this place .) Then I call this place and I ask them hey I need to just bored my dog for 24 hours and the other place I called said he needs an exam and I can't afford the exam fee plus the boarding fee and I need to board him immediately so I asked her does he need an exam before he can be boarded and the girl says no. It's only $25 to board him and you can drop him off and pick him up tomorrow. Then I said okay that sounds good I'll bring them by tomorrow morning at 9:30. So then I come up there to pick him up I wasn't able to make it there at 6 that day so I had to come the next day so I had to pay to board him for 2 days which is okay I don't mind that that's only fifty bucks. But then I get there they tell me the total is $93!! So then I say why is there a late fee for not picking him up after the 24 hours? So then the lady says no that's for the exam plus the two days you boarded him. Then I said no I didn't want the exam the girl over the phone specifically said he doesn't need an exam and that the boarding fee was only $25 a day. So then a girl sitting beside the lady at the front desk that I've never even seen or spoken to speaks up and says no I clearly told you on the phone he needs to have an exam then we can board him and it's $25 a day to board him and then $50 for the exam. Then I said no you are lying you never told me that the only reason I brought him here was because you said he didn't have to have an exam to board him if I knew he had to have an exam I would have brought him some one way closer to where I live but they said he had to have an exam and you said he did not so that's why I brought him here to you!!! So then I told the lady that all I had was 60 bucks pulled out because I knew I was going to have to pay $50 for the two days. So then the lady at the front desk says well she clearly told you the prices and he had to have an exam and you knew that so you're going to have to pay the $93! So then I said no I don't because I was lied to so here's the $60 you keep the extra $10 and give me my dog they still charge me for the $32 they said I still owe that and I can pay with cash check credit card any type of payment they accept. So like I said nice people but if you're a younger person it seems like they take advantage of you especially if you haven't brought your pet to them before. That's what I felt like I felt like I came there drop my dog off got an extra charge for something I was told I didn't need or something I didn't want and told I have to pay it!!! So if you don't don't feel like getting lied to or charge extra for something you didn't want I wouldn't go to this place! I would go there again if they would take off that extra 30 something dollars charge cuz they took care of them but they basically took extra money for me by something I did not want and something I did not need or at least that's what I was told over the phone and then I was told something different once I got there to pick him up which feels like oh well it's too late now you have to pay this which is wrong!!! They are good about getting you an appointment as soon as possible and are great with making you and your animal feel comfortable. When I first adopted my senior dog, I was taking her to a low-cost vet. When an emergency came up, they were overbooked and could not see her at all. After some googling, I found Kingsley Animal Hospital and they had quite a few great reviews. When I called them, they were very pleasant on the phone and got her in the very next day with no issues. When I brought her in, everyone was so sweet and nice. You can really tell that they love animals. They were so good with my dog and made her feel as comfortable as possible. After the appointment, they called and checked up on her which was great.The prices are great and the office has a little store area where they sell high quality food, snacks, and other items. This is a wonderful place to bring your pets. After an awful and extremely overpriced run at another vet's office that was touted as "low cost" I brought my puppy here. Kingsley Animal Hospital did an in depth review of my puppy's record and gave her a thorough exam. They corrected all the issues with her Rx's that the other vets had issued incorrectly (including a pill too week for her weight, in the wrong dosage, and an oral pill they instructed us to administer rectally!) and she has been doing excellent. My dog has epilepsy and under the treatment of her old vet was having 18-20 horrible seizures a month. Kingsley Animal Hospital has gotten her to a place with her medicine and diet that she now has perhaps 1-2 mild seizures per month. She also loves it there. They are courteous, knowledgable, and much more budget friendly than the "low cost" vet I was at before. On average I pay 30-60% LESS than what I paid at the last vet and I get great service and compassion for my pet here. I would recommend this place to everyone! Read Less

I foster kittens for a humane society, I had problems with them so I took the kittens to see Dr. Fred and he has been amazing and so helpful.i take pooh the kitten every 3 days and Dr. Fred has worked with me on learning how to take care of pooh because he he went for the first time when he was 1week old, and Dr. Fred answers any question I had. The staff there has been wonderful and help full by calling and talking to me about pooh. I have other animals that have gone to see Dr. Fred and he was great and treated them super well. This is one place that my little girl loves to go to. She walks in and out with a smile. The staff has been absolutely amazing with all of us. My dog Cash ended up receiving laser therapy to help with her arthritis and it has helped sooo much. She is almost like her old self again. She is getting around without limping or shaking and doesn't seem to be miserable like she was. Her appetite is back as well. It has been right at a month and she is still doing amazing.
