Dr. Porter and staff are great! I'm honored that as a business owner of a doggy boarding and day care facility, they are always there to help if I need any services for my guests. Just wanted to say thank you so much to the staff and Dr. Porter! We had a scare on Christmas Eve and our normal vet would not see our sweet girl. I was in a panic and a complete mess. They had us come in within the hour and reassured me that everything would be okay! They went above and beyond to make sure we were able to contact them through the holidays in case we needed anything! They have also called multiple times to check up on our pup since then. We met Dr. Bob Porter about 13 years ago, when we brought our dear little puppy Bumper. Porter took care of our Bumper for almost 12 yrs. During all that time you could see how Bumper felt he was at home. Dr. Porter and his staff always treated him like part of their own family. Now that Bumper is playing in heaven with the doggies Angels, Dr. Bob takes care of our dear Logan, and he already feels at home as well when he visits Conway Vet. As a physician, I am impressed with Dr. Porter's knowledge and expertise. He is always kind and compassionate to our pets as well as to us. We've been taking our dogs to Dr Bob since he opened this office. So far, he's cared for 6 of our dogs, several fosters, and multiple dogs and cats whom we've referred there. ( Oops. Three visits to this clinic, one star for each, and we are looking at switching. Each time, we have called and made an appointment, confirmed verbally, and arrived on the day to find we aren't on their schedule. Everyone is polite and knowledgeable- but if they can't get scheduling right, it's time to move on. I'm tired of being "worked in." Dr. Porter is the best vet we've found in Orlando, after being to probably a half-dozen others. He is very kind, warm, and informative. He also listens very closely and is very willing to help. Their prices seem to be reasonable, if not a tad bit on the high side, but him and his team will actually be able to treat your pet properly, rather than give a bunch of improper diagnoses. They literally save my poodle's life. I went out of town for business. I came back and he wouldn't move or stand up. I thought he had a stroke or something. But he had Addison's Disease and we didn't know. He just went off a cliff while I was gone and just started to decline. It was horrifying and fast. I didn't know what was wrong.They correctly diagnosed him immediately and got him the correct treatment. They were very kind. They had to keep him on IV but let me visit him. They are his new vet! They are in the medium to high price range, but the care is top-notch and very good! You can trust them to do what your pet needs and to care. Read Less

I went to several vets offices when looking for a vet to prescribe medicine to my seahorse who couldn't leave his tank to be seen. I knew exactly what was wrong and what medicine I needed to help him. All other vets denied me care when I went to Conway they told me to take a video of him and come back in an hour after they did their research. I was in and out of there in 30 w my script. We took our brand new puppy to Dr. Porter after the great reviews I read online. I couldn't have picked a better Vet for my baby chihuahua . He was very professional, friendly, and made my puppy feel at ease for her first shots. As first time puppy owners he gave us great advice and was very patient with us, didn't make us feel rushed. The Vets assistant was also extremely great with our puppy. The receptionist is very professional and welcoming whenyou walk in the door. It's funny how you never know how good something is until it's gone. I used to get frustrated with my inability to get quick appointments. Which was hard because I had an elderly dog, Chewie. The day Chewie passed, I was more than a wreck. We were the last appointment for the day, and I was faced with putting my 15 year old best friend to sleep. Dr. Porter let me wait for my husband to come, and we said goodbye to a piece of our hearts. The whole staff was so understanding even though it was hours after close. They let me leave my car because I couldn't drive.They took care of the after arrangements, and called when Chewie's ashes were ready. Now I live out of state. I miss the postcards for updating shots, the check on calls after shots, the personality of the pet loving staff, and my wonderful veterinary doctor. If you haven't been inside, the facility is new and super clean. Good things come for those who wait, so I would wait the couple of days for an appointment. Robert Porter is worth the wait and more!
