I feel that this place is a bit overpriced. Though the staff is always friendly and the reminder calls before your scheduled appointments are nice, I feel that costs, pill pushing, and added extras are a bit much. Disposable fee for needles are $9.. annual check ups are not thorough check ups and those are $50. (I’m not asking for x-rays or anything like that durning a annual checkup) but just using a stethoscope to hear a heart beat and not checking teeth or eyes... feels almost like I’m being robbed of my money. I’m sad to have to change Veterinary hospital because I always want to believe this field should be more in the interest of an animals wellbeing than profiting 😔
After my dog going here for a year, we found another place with good reviews and fairer pricing. I’m not looking for “cheap”, because you get what you pay for in most cases, but there are times when you realize unfair pricing is happening and you have to walk away.

Just wanted to say thank you so much to the staff and Dr. Porter! We had a scare on Christmas Eve and our normal vet would not see our sweet girl. I was in a panic and a complete mess. They had us come in within the hour and reassured me that everything would be okay! They went above and beyond to make sure we were able to contact them through the holidays in case we needed anything! They have also called multiple times to check up on our pup since then. Will not be going back to our old vet after receiving such wonderful care for my dog from here! Thank you guys so much!!

We met Dr. Bob Porter about 13 years ago, when we brought our dear little puppy Bumper. Porter took care of our Bumper for almost 12 yrs. During all that time you could see how Bumper felt he was at home. Dr. Porter and his staff always treated him like part of their own family. Now that Bumper is playing in heaven with the doggies Angels, Dr. Bob takes care of our dear Logan, and he already feels at home as well when he visits Conway Vet. As a physician, I am impressed with Dr. Porter's knowledge and expertise. He is always kind and compassionate to our pets as well as to us. We've been taking our dogs to Dr Bob since he opened this office. So far, he's cared for 6 of our dogs, several fosters, and multiple dogs and cats whom we've referred there. ( Oops. I forgot about the ferrets. Them, too. ) The staff is unfailingly kind and helpful, and they, too, know what they are doing. I have the utmost confidence in this vet and his staff.

Three visits to this clinic, one star for each, and we are looking at switching. Each time, we have called and made an appointment, confirmed verbally, and arrived on the day to find we aren't on their schedule. Everyone is polite and knowledgeable- but if they can't get scheduling right, it's time to move on. I'm tired of being "worked in."
Perhaps in the future they will implement an email confirmation system making it impossible to forget to record our appointment.

Their prices seem to be reasonable, if not a tad bit on the high side, but him and his team will actually be able to treat your pet properly, rather than give a bunch of improper diagnoses. They literally save my poodle's life. I went out of town for business. I came back and he wouldn't move or stand up. I thought he had a stroke or something. But he had Addison's Disease and we didn't know. He just went off a cliff while I was gone and just started to decline. It was horrifying and fast. I didn't know what was wrong.They correctly diagnosed him immediately and got him the correct treatment. They were very kind. They had to keep him on IV but let me visit him. They are his new vet!
They are in the medium to high price range, but the care is top-notch and very good! You can trust them to do what your pet needs and to care.

I knew exactly what was wrong and what medicine I needed to help him. All other vets denied me care when I went to Conway they told me to take a video of him and come back in an hour after they did their research. I was in and out of there in 30 w my script. So thankful for their help. He saved my seahorse.

We took our brand new puppy to Dr. Porter after the great reviews I read online. I couldn't have picked a better Vet for my baby chihuahua . He was very professional, friendly, and made my puppy feel at ease for her first shots. As first time puppy owners he gave us great advice and was very patient with us, didn't make us feel rushed. The Vets assistant was also extremely great with our puppy. The receptionist is very professional and welcoming whenyou walk in the door. Dr. Porter exceeded my expectations and he is now my regular vet. I highly recommend Dr. Porter as a regular vet.

It's funny how you never know how good something is until it's gone. I used to get frustrated with my inability to get quick appointments. Which was hard because I had an elderly dog, Chewie. The day Chewie passed, I was more than a wreck. We were the last appointment for the day, and I was faced with putting my 15 year old best friend to sleep. Dr. Porter let me wait for my husband to come, and we said goodbye to a piece of our hearts. The whole staff was so understanding even though it was hours after close. They let me leave my car because I couldn't drive.They took care of the after arrangements, and called when Chewie's ashes were ready. Now I live out of state. I miss the postcards for updating shots, the check on calls after shots, the personality of the pet loving staff, and my wonderful veterinary doctor. If you haven't been inside, the facility is new and super clean. Good things come for those who wait, so I would wait the couple of days for an appointment. Robert Porter is worth the wait and more!

Now that Bumper is playing in heaven with the doggies Angels, Dr. Bob takes care of our dear Logan, and he already feels at home as well when he visits Conway Vet. As a physician, I am impressed with Dr. Porter's knowledge and expertise. He is always kind and compassionate to our pets as well as to us. We've been taking our dogs to Dr Bob since he opened this office. So far, he's cared for 6 of our dogs, several fosters, and multiple dogs and cats whom we've referred there. ( Oops. I forgot about the ferrets. Them, too. ) The staff is unfailingly kind and helpful, and they, too, know what they are doing. I have the utmost confidence in this vet and his staff.

Three visits to this clinic, one star for each, and we are looking at switching. Each time, we have called and made an appointment, confirmed verbally, and arrived on the day to find we aren't on their schedule. Everyone is polite and knowledgeable- but if they can't get scheduling right, it's time to move on. I'm tired of being "worked in."
Perhaps in the future they will implement an email confirmation system making it impossible to forget to record our appointment.

When I switched to Conway I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating they were and the prices are well within reasonable. Dr. Porter is kind and compassionate and so, so helpful. Their prices seem to be reasonable, if not a tad bit on the high side, but him and his team will actually be able to treat your pet properly, rather than give a bunch of improper diagnoses. Highly recommended.

They literally save my poodle's life. I went out of town for business. I came back and he wouldn't move or stand up. I thought he had a stroke or something. But he had Addison's Disease and we didn't know. He just went off a cliff while I was gone and just started to decline. It was horrifying and fast. I didn't know what was wrong.They correctly diagnosed him immediately and got him the correct treatment. They were very kind. They had to keep him on IV but let me visit him. They are his new vet!
They are in the medium to high price range, but the care is top-notch and very good! You can trust them to do what your pet needs and to care.

I went to several vets offices when looking for a vet to prescribe medicine to my seahorse who couldn't leave his tank to be seen. I knew exactly what was wrong and what medicine I needed to help him. All other vets denied me care when I went to Conway they told me to take a video of him and come back in an hour after they did their research. I was in and out of there in 30 w my script. So thankful for their help. He saved my seahorse.

We took our brand new puppy to Dr. Porter after the great reviews I read online. I couldn't have picked a better Vet for my baby chihuahua . He was very professional, friendly, and made my puppy feel at ease for her first shots. As first time puppy owners he gave us great advice and was very patient with us, didn't make us feel rushed. The Vets assistant was also extremely great with our puppy. The receptionist is very professional and welcoming whenyou walk in the door. Dr. Porter exceeded my expectations and he is now my regular vet. I highly recommend Dr. Porter as a regular vet.

It's funny how you never know how good something is until it's gone. I used to get frustrated with my inability to get quick appointments. Which was hard because I had an elderly dog, Chewie. The day Chewie passed, I was more than a wreck. We were the last appointment for the day, and I was faced with putting my 15 year old best friend to sleep. Dr. Porter let me wait for my husband to come, and we said goodbye to a piece of our hearts. The whole staff was so understanding even though it was hours after close. They let me leave my car because I couldn't drive.They took care of the after arrangements, and called when Chewie's ashes were ready. Now I live out of state. I miss the postcards for updating shots, the check on calls after shots, the personality of the pet loving staff, and my wonderful veterinary doctor. If you haven't been inside, the facility is new and super clean. Good things come for those who wait, so I would wait the couple of days for an appointment. Robert Porter is worth the wait and more!
