I've been taking my dog to the Downtown Pet Hospital for a little over 3 years now and am so happy that I have a veterinary clinic that I can rely on. My dog does not get along with other animals so when I have to bring her in for a checkup or an appointment, they have always been very accommodating.We usually coordinate a non-busy time of the day to come in they allow her to go straight into one of their rooms until it's time to see a doctor so that she doesn't run into other pets in the lobby which is a big stress reliever for me. The staff are all so sweet to my dog and treat her so well. Something that I also appreciate is that they have been transparent about the pricing of medications and procedures so you know what to expect before you checkout. Other pet hospitals I've been to are similar to car mechanics - you go in for an oil change and then they try to upsell you on other things your car needs and then you get hit with a bunch of extra fees even when you bring in a coupon for what you thought was a $20 oil change.The Downtown Pet Hospital has always done a great job of giving me options, telling me the price of meds and giving me their honest opinion on whether or not I should spend money on a product or procedure. Their facility is nice and clean and the staff is all very friendly. I highly recommend this pet hospital.

I was recommended by friends whom I saw this Vet help their fur baby survive when a lot of other vets would recommend putting down. Both fur babies are still doing well and I am so happy and fortunate to have the care needed from trustworthy professionals.

I have been bringing my dog to the Downtown Pet Hospital for a little over a year and have had nothing but amazing experiences. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and great with my dog. They can always squeeze her in for appointments if need be.
I had an exceptional experience this past Friday for my dogs annual physical. My dog is extremely skittish and was very nervous to come out from under my chair and let the Doctor see her, give her a shot, etc. Dr. Liz Moorefield was creative and said that we should bring her outside and see if that makes her feel more comfortable. My dog was instantly more comfortable, and Dr. Moorefield did her entire checkup out on the grass with my dog in her arms. I wish I had taken a picture! She went above and beyond to make my dog and myself comfortable, and I am forever grateful.
I can't recommend Downtown Pet Hospital enough! Thank you for everything!

I knew something pretty significant was up. They worked us in and my baby had surgery that afternoon. I am very impressed with their care, promptness and professionalism. Very friendly and actually can tell they care. I have switched over this this office. Now just waiting on the path report!

I really cannot express how wonderful the staff is at Downtown Pet Hospital. At this point I've seen all of the doctors and techs and they truly care about my pups. We had to go to the pet emergency clinic last night and they called me before they even opened to check in on my sick dog and schedule him making sure he was cared for. Maybe the most tangible example of how much they care happened when I took on an elderly dog of a friend of a friend that turned out to be sicker than I thought. She had to be put down and the doctor and tech sat and cried with me. A couple weeks later I got a note from UF's vet research program saying they had made a donation on that dog's behalf. I really cannot recommend this office enough. Oh, and their prices are very reasonable too.

Amazing service! Everyone there is super kind and caring. I have received follow up calls after each visit to check on my cat. Treatment protocols were all conservative, so it was clear they weren't trying to rack up my bill. Matter of fact they did a free x-ray based on a hunch they had regarding a problem my cat was having. First class all the way.

I moved to Orlando in Dec 2011. A co-worker recommended Downtown Animal Hospital for my female golden doodle. If the rating had more stars, I would give them. Compassionate, friendly, excellent customer, caring are some of the adjectives to describe this vet practice. My dog moves her tail every time we go there. She smells the front door and she knows!!!!! I have used the boarding services and although I feel sad to leave her knowing she will sleep in a kennel - which is not what happens at home, they provide playtime and an area where she can be loose during the day. They also sanitize her everyday, even her ears!!!!! I recently left my dog for boarding for 4 days and they sent text messages with updates on Chloe every day!!!!!! Thank you for loving my Chloe as I do!

I will never go anywhere else. This place is legit. They don't try to up sell you with a bunch of stuff you don't need. I read one negative review and am sorry for that person but I insist that you try this place for all your animal needs and judge for yourself! Can't thank the staff enough. Dr. McCully is a saint. I rescued a beautiful cat from an abusive home, and a few months later we found out she had some tumors on her tummy. I went to three vets before finding DPH. Dr. McCully explained everything every step of the way, ran tests, performed a really difficult surgery flawlessly, and kept an email communication with me even while she was on vacation. She gave my sweet service cat another few months of life and was there with me when I had to say goodbye to her. The card I got from them a week later was hand-written and signed by every member of the staff. I lost a part of myself when Tara died, but had it not been for Dr. McCully and the amazing techs at Downtown Pet Hospital, I would have lost her to a horrible, painful disease, and I would not have known why it was happening or how to deal with it. I received a card from my alma mater, the University of Florida, last month. It stated that DPH had made a donation to the vet school program there in Tara's name. Dr. McCully only knew my girl for about a month, and she only met her three times. She sees hundreds of animals a week and even more people who love those animals, but still she made it a priority to make sure that myself and my family were informed and prepared, even going as far as sending us links to websites on how to deal with these situations and ways to make it easier. Last week I memorialised my first pet forever, and I thank God every single day for the doctors and staff at this vet. I will be bringing my new service kitten in training, whom I raised from birth with her two sisters when they were abandoned by their mother, for her first checkup soon. I don't know how many people will read this or how many people it will affect, but I felt the need to share the kindness and love of these amazing and talented people so that maybe it will influence someone to make the choice I did and make an appointment. I've left this as a review online as well. Thank you all for everything you have done for me, and I will see you soon.

I have been a customer for more than 8 years, since I adopted my dog and cat. REcently I was fostering a dog, and also brought him here. The place is clean, and they are significantly more expensive than other vets in the area, however, my expectation is that that with that additional cost a certain amount of customer service will abound, particularly for long time patients.
I became suspicious that they take a careless attitude when my dog had a dermatofibroma removed from her neck, and it became infected, despite my best care. Just recently, they are unable to accomodate a simple request for a refill on the same med that they always prescribe, when I bring her for a 200 dollar, 4 second visit. I understand that they need to make a buck, but it is impossible for me to bring my dog in right now bc of my work schedule, and they are being very unreasonable. I cannot help to think that it is motivated by concern for money, instead of the my dog's health. I would like to point out that I never miss an appointment, and have never made such a request. I plan to change over to Ivanhoe Veterinary clinic. It is just not a nice way to treat a long time patient, and it makes me feel like they have no relationship with me or my pet, just my money.

Long gone are the days of my coaxing, pushing, pulling, and folding up my cats into their cat carriers. My kitties receive excellent care from Dr. Califf in the comfort of their home (if you understand cats, it is THEIR home, not mine).Anyway, today Dr. Califf drove all the way to Oviedo to visit my aging female feline who is having bowel-movement issues. The visit, stool samples (one for each of the two cats), and ointment cost only $125! The best part? Not once did I have to coax, push, pull, or fold up my little angel. She independently introduced to herself to Dr. Califf, and because of the Dr.'s gentle demeanor (and probing), she purred the entire examination. This is my second time using Dr. Califf and I am just as happy this time as I was four years ago. Dr. Califf can't do all procedures in the home; in that case, you can coax, push, pull and fold up your furry family members and drive them to his clinic downtown.

I can't say enough good things about my experiences at this clinic. I take both of my cats here, and when my cat got sick with liver disease recently, these doctors and nurses really stepped up to save her life and help me heal her. They have always been kind, responsive to my calls with questions about caring for my cat, and extremely patient. My cat has a feeding tube and one of the nurses took time out of her day on two occasions to show me how to use it and feed her properly, since I was feeling nervous. I have always gotten the sense that these nurses and vets treat my pets like they are their own. The facility is clean and the doctors and nurses are so knowledgeable. I am so glad to have found this pet hospital for my cats.

This is a quality, professional, caring and clean facility! My dog and I were clients of the Downtown Pet Hospital for 4 years. They greeted us with enthusiasm every time we showed up. They have fantastic facilities for boarding and my dog was excited every time we arrived there. Their technicians and staff were top-notch and they weren't overpriced. When my dog became very ill and had to be put-down, I couldn't have imagined a more peaceful experience. When a new pet comes into my life, I will not hesitate for a moment to take it to this hospital!

I've been taking my dog to the Downtown Pet Hospital for a little over 3 years now and am so happy that I have a veterinary clinic that I can rely on. My dog does not get along with other animals so when I have to bring her in for a checkup or an appointment, they have always been very accommodating.We usually coordinate a non-busy time of the day to come in they allow her to go straight into one of their rooms until it's time to see a doctor so that she doesn't run into other pets in the lobby which is a big stress reliever for me. The staff are all so sweet to my dog and treat her so well. Something that I also appreciate is that they have been transparent about the pricing of medications and procedures so you know what to expect before you checkout. Other pet hospitals I've been to are similar to car mechanics - you go in for an oil change and then they try to upsell you on other things your car needs and then you get hit with a bunch of extra fees even when you bring in a coupon for what you thought was a $20 oil change.The Downtown Pet Hospital has always done a great job of giving me options, telling me the price of meds and giving me their honest opinion on whether or not I should spend money on a product or procedure. Their facility is nice and clean and the staff is all very friendly. I highly recommend this pet hospital.

I have been bringing my dog to the Downtown Pet Hospital for a little over a year and have had nothing but amazing experiences. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and great with my dog. They can always squeeze her in for appointments if need be.
I had an exceptional experience this past Friday for my dogs annual physical. My dog is extremely skittish and was very nervous to come out from under my chair and let the Doctor see her, give her a shot, etc. Dr. Liz Moorefield was creative and said that we should bring her outside and see if that makes her feel more comfortable. My dog was instantly more comfortable, and Dr. Moorefield did her entire checkup out on the grass with my dog in her arms. I wish I had taken a picture! She went above and beyond to make my dog and myself comfortable, and I am forever grateful.
I can't recommend Downtown Pet Hospital enough! Thank you for everything!

I knew something pretty significant was up. They worked us in and my baby had surgery that afternoon. I am very impressed with their care, promptness and professionalism. Very friendly and actually can tell they care. I have switched over this this office. Now just waiting on the path report!

I really cannot express how wonderful the staff is at Downtown Pet Hospital. At this point I've seen all of the doctors and techs and they truly care about my pups. We had to go to the pet emergency clinic last night and they called me before they even opened to check in on my sick dog and schedule him making sure he was cared for. Maybe the most tangible example of how much they care happened when I took on an elderly dog of a friend of a friend that turned out to be sicker than I thought. She had to be put down and the doctor and tech sat and cried with me. A couple weeks later I got a note from UF's vet research program saying they had made a donation on that dog's behalf. I really cannot recommend this office enough. Oh, and their prices are very reasonable too.

Treatment protocols were all conservative, so it was clear they weren't trying to rack up my bill. Matter of fact they did a free x-ray based on a hunch they had regarding a problem my cat was having. First class all the way.

I moved to Orlando in Dec 2011. A co-worker recommended Downtown Animal Hospital for my female golden doodle. If the rating had more stars, I would give them. Compassionate, friendly, excellent customer, caring are some of the adjectives to describe this vet practice. My dog moves her tail every time we go there. She smells the front door and she knows!!!!! I have used the boarding services and although I feel sad to leave her knowing she will sleep in a kennel - which is not what happens at home, they provide playtime and an area where she can be loose during the day. They also sanitize her everyday, even her ears!!!!! I recently left my dog for boarding for 4 days and they sent text messages with updates on Chloe every day!!!!!! Thank you for loving my Chloe as I do!

I read one negative review and am sorry for that person but I insist that you try this place for all your animal needs and judge for yourself! Can't thank the staff enough. Dr. McCully is a saint. I rescued a beautiful cat from an abusive home, and a few months later we found out she had some tumors on her tummy. I went to three vets before finding DPH. Dr. McCully explained everything every step of the way, ran tests, performed a really difficult surgery flawlessly, and kept an email communication with me even while she was on vacation. She gave my sweet service cat another few months of life and was there with me when I had to say goodbye to her. The card I got from them a week later was hand-written and signed by every member of the staff. I lost a part of myself when Tara died, but had it not been for Dr. McCully and the amazing techs at Downtown Pet Hospital, I would have lost her to a horrible, painful disease, and I would not have known why it was happening or how to deal with it. I received a card from my alma mater, the University of Florida, last month. It stated that DPH had made a donation to the vet school program there in Tara's name. Dr. McCully only knew my girl for about a month, and she only met her three times. She sees hundreds of animals a week and even more people who love those animals, but still she made it a priority to make sure that myself and my family were informed and prepared, even going as far as sending us links to websites on how to deal with these situations and ways to make it easier. Last week I memorialised my first pet forever, and I thank God every single day for the doctors and staff at this vet. I will be bringing my new service kitten in training, whom I raised from birth with her two sisters when they were abandoned by their mother, for her first checkup soon. I don't know how many people will read this or how many people it will affect, but I felt the need to share the kindness and love of these amazing and talented people so that maybe it will influence someone to make the choice I did and make an appointment. I've left this as a review online as well. Thank you all for everything you have done for me, and I will see you soon.

I have been a customer for more than 8 years, since I adopted my dog and cat. REcently I was fostering a dog, and also brought him here. The place is clean, and they are significantly more expensive than other vets in the area, however, my expectation is that that with that additional cost a certain amount of customer service will abound, particularly for long time patients.
I became suspicious that they take a careless attitude when my dog had a dermatofibroma removed from her neck, and it became infected, despite my best care. Just recently, they are unable to accomodate a simple request for a refill on the same med that they always prescribe, when I bring her for a 200 dollar, 4 second visit. I understand that they need to make a buck, but it is impossible for me to bring my dog in right now bc of my work schedule, and they are being very unreasonable. I cannot help to think that it is motivated by concern for money, instead of the my dog's health. I would like to point out that I never miss an appointment, and have never made such a request. I plan to change over to Ivanhoe Veterinary clinic. It is just not a nice way to treat a long time patient, and it makes me feel like they have no relationship with me or my pet, just my money.

Long gone are the days of my coaxing, pushing, pulling, and folding up my cats into their cat carriers. My kitties receive excellent care from Dr. Califf in the comfort of their home (if you understand cats, it is THEIR home, not mine).Anyway, today Dr. Califf drove all the way to Oviedo to visit my aging female feline who is having bowel-movement issues. The visit, stool samples (one for each of the two cats), and ointment cost only $125! The best part? Not once did I have to coax, push, pull, or fold up my little angel. She independently introduced to herself to Dr. Califf, and because of the Dr.'s gentle demeanor (and probing), she purred the entire examination. This is my second time using Dr. Califf and I am just as happy this time as I was four years ago. Dr. Califf can't do all procedures in the home; in that case, you can coax, push, pull and fold up your furry family members and drive them to his clinic downtown.

I can't say enough good things about my experiences at this clinic. I take both of my cats here, and when my cat got sick with liver disease recently, these doctors and nurses really stepped up to save her life and help me heal her. They have always been kind, responsive to my calls with questions about caring for my cat, and extremely patient. My cat has a feeding tube and one of the nurses took time out of her day on two occasions to show me how to use it and feed her properly, since I was feeling nervous. I have always gotten the sense that these nurses and vets treat my pets like they are their own. The facility is clean and the doctors and nurses are so knowledgeable. I am so glad to have found this pet hospital for my cats.

This is a quality, professional, caring and clean facility! My dog and I were clients of the Downtown Pet Hospital for 4 years. They greeted us with enthusiasm every time we showed up. They have fantastic facilities for boarding and my dog was excited every time we arrived there. Their technicians and staff were top-notch and they weren't overpriced. When my dog became very ill and had to be put-down, I couldn't have imagined a more peaceful experience. When a new pet comes into my life, I will not hesitate for a moment to take it to this hospital!
