Doctor is great! Very personable. Somewhat pricey, but that's expected with any doctor human or animal. Sometimes have to point out messes left by other pets to staff, but they clean them quickly once you bring it to their attention. That could be avoided if they simply cleaned all equipment including scales after each use. Read Less

I dropped off my dog around 9am for accupuncture. There was only one staff member so waiting thirty minutes was not a problem. The plan was to drop her off in the morning and pick her up when I come in with my second dog at 4pm for annual shots. I came with my second dog and I was put into a room without waiting more than 15 minutes. However, NOBODY HAS COME INTO THE ROOM and I have been waiting over an hour. I hear other dogs coming and going. However, I haven’t even been checked on, reassured they will be right in or told a reason for the wait. 5:49PM UPDATE: Apparently there was an emergency walk in. Which I don’t mind waiting , it just would have been nice to know. My overall vet visit will be around 2 hours. So, plan accordingly. Read Less

I took my pets away from here because i felt like the hospitality was far from good. Some days staff is cool other days you're an inconvenience. I came back because something was going on with my dog and they were the closest vet to be seen asap. This visit wasn't too bad but I did feel like I was going be to ripped off with the "recommendations" that I was given. So I went to another vet and loved the Dr. She told me everything that she recommended which was less recommendations then this one. I asked about Some of the other recommendations and she for what? It's not going to help with anything that I needed done. Bottom line, just be cautious and if ur gut is telling u to get a 2nd opinion follow ur gut. Let me start off with I have MS and I'm in a wheelchair. Remember that for the story. Been coming here for 2 years now with my dog. Prices are great, but the staff is worthless. Every time I've been in I've had to hold and restrain my own aninal. They don't do it here... Unless you have a small, cute, sweet and cuddly animal, don't go here. They won't help you with your animal if it's scared and acting aggressive. I used to work for Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic on old winter garden road and we NEVER did that. If it took 3 techs to restrain an animal for the vet, then that's what we did. We never turned anyone away. That's just nuts. ALL animals need veterinary care! My last time going was on 3/19/18 for a heartworm test and I will not be back. My dog barked very loudly when the tech popped her head in the door and she looked scared and immediately shut it. I immediately put our own muzzle on him that I brought with me. Someone else came in and the same thing. The dr came in and I tried to have a conversation with him and he refused to address me or even look into my face while I was saying doctor, doctor. Wouldn't look me in the eyes... Then said I'm too old to fight with these dogs. I was then told that they could not do the test on my aggressive dog. I said ok, what CAN we do. What can I possibly do to get this done for my dog. If he doesn't get the test, he can't get preventative meds and he'll get heartworms! They brought me a too small muzzle for him. I put it on him and my 2 sons were told by dr hyatt to lift him onto the exam table. They looked like not sure they could do it. He's 80 lbs and they're children. The doctors exact words were "come on guys. He's YOUR dog." we got him on the table, held him and the dr. got the blood. No problem. While I was in line to pay I asked the doctor if I could speak to him for a second and he mumbled under his breath while walking away "I will when I'm done with this appt." What about MY appt? I never got a chance to speak to anyone about anything. They kept cutting me off, blowing me off, shutting the door on me mid sentence and disrespecting myself and my animal. Well my total was almost 80 dollars when I was told it would be 36. An extra charge for a tech fee. I said tech fee for what? I held my dog and my sons lifted him onto the table. The tech did nothing. I said you should be paying me the tech fee. Well the dr. Hyatt is his name, and that's when he actually spoke to me directly, lied and said we told you we weren't doing it because your dog is unruly and you told is we HAD to do it. I said no sir. I said what can we do to get this done and what do you usually do in this situation? Those were my exact words. Never told them they HAD to... So I gave them $80 and said give the change to the tech who didn't do anything. Never going back. I'll go to a veterinarian clinic where they treat me and my dog with some respect because this place just sucks. The staff and doctors have no bedside manner, customer service skills or knowledge of animal behavior and how not to approach a scared animal. Watch the Dog Whisperer for God's sake! Read the other reviews. They may be cheaper than other places but it's not worth it in my opinion to put up with that. If I could give them no stars, I would. Again unless you have a sweet dog that's sweet to everyone all the time, this place can't handle them. And don't forget, they had a handicapped woman and 2 children doing their jobs for them, not sure if that's even legal, looking into that...yet they still charged me an extra fee...NOT NICE DR. Made a appointment for my dog and went to see Dr. Hyatt. Overall a very nice and educated Doctor The staff was very friendly and we were treated very well. Going back Tuesday to have my dogs teeth cleaned. Would recommend this doctor.Just a update all went well with the service. Read Less

Made appointment same day we wanted our puppy to be seen. Clean, bright and sympathetic staff made our first visit enjoyable. The veterinarian was personable and gave us quick service! This low cost veterinary clinic is #1 in my book. The staff is friendly, caring, accommodating and knowledgeable. Dr. Hyatt is an excellent and highly engaged physician who is able to target issues accurately, quickly and get them resolved and keep prices manageable. After reading the reviews about how great their prices were, I decided to stop by today to make an appointment for a puppy and to get some prices on other services. I was quoted an exam fee of $45 and an x-ray fee of $185!!! $45 exam fee?!? On average most vets charge $22-36. I inquired about a spay for mama dog who is 95 pounds. $500 and that is WITHOUT the blood work. Spay n Save is $110. Finally, I asked about a litter exam for 7 puppies. $96 total ($75 for exams and $21 for biohazard fee). This includes the vaccines. This price was not bad at all... until I asked about health certificates. The price went up to an estimate between $500 and $560!!! I thought she was talking about mama's spay again... but she corrected me and said that was for 7 health certificates and exams. I asked her if she wanted to double check the prices with someone and she said no, that those were the prices. Affordable is definitely not a word I would use to describe this place. Although everyone I encountered in there was friendly, based on my experience, I would not recommend this place if you are looking for low cost options. I will continue to use Dr. Sands and her wonderful staff at Apopka Veterinary Clinic, where I have been going since 2000. She is definitely a lot more cost effective. Read Less

I brought my dog in about a year ago to euthanized him. I ended up finding out this doctor never euthanized him even though i paid about 165 dollars for it. The procedure was never done!! However, i ended up finding out my dog was still alive and was given to a pet rescue. Read Less

The last 2 times i took my dog there my credit card was compromised. I went last year about this time and used a credit card i never use. The next day my bank called and told me someone attempt to get a $400 cash advance. had to replace the card. Since this happens to people i didn't think twice I was just happy they caught it. I took my dog in again about a month ago and used my Amex account that I rarely use. A few days later the account was used to make purchases online at home depot. Its too much of a coincidence that it happened twice after visiting the vet. Either an employee is doing this or their system is hacked. I called to speak to the manager who did nothing at all not even a follow up. so be warned to review your statements after visiting this office. I filed a complaint and will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. Read Less

I took my dog here for an absess next to his eye and the vet claimed he fixed the problem, though there was still a hole in my dogs face. He ended up more sick the week after we left. Wait times can be really long (even 60-90 minutes past your scheduled time), but it's absolutely worth it. The prices are amazingly low (Beat the next lowest contender by 30% for a routine exam, eye stain, and antibiotics). Dr Hyatt projects an air of calm, confidence, and humor. You can tell instantly that he knows his field like the back of his hand and that you're in good hands. The staff here is friendly and pleasant, but extremely busy. I have had to take my cats here for several major issues this year. ( a broken leg, and a major surgery) . After having many bad experiences for minor issues with "high pressure sales" type vets, I am very happy to have found this place. My sister and I just moved to Orlando and we have a vet almost in our backyard, however upon going to them they just seem to be all about money even to get your flea and heart worm you have to make an appointment and pay an office visit even with vet records transferred to them.  So I went looking for another vet option and I am very glad I did.  I found Low Cost Pet Hospitals in the phone book(  I know imagine that)  and I will say the office is clean , the staff is friendly and helpful and the reason I am writing this review is for all the pet owners out there who love their animals and would love to find a vet that is good and compassionate and also very knowledgeable.   DR CHRISTMANN is just that a great vet that takes time with your animals and knows what to do for them to help them without soaking you for every penny to run every test known to man.  He will know the test to make sure it is right and to prescribe just what your beloved pet needs to get well and he will also know when to be compassionate and help you with tough choices you need to make sometimes for the animal you love like a family member.  In 3 months my sister and I have had to experience both of these and I am so glad I found Dr Christmann.  For as long as we live here he is the only vet I will go to see.   It is so refreshing to see a vet that you can tell really likes animals and wants to help and heal them.    Thank you Dr. Read Less
