I was a client of Dr. Day for a little over 11 years. 18 mos. ago, my cat Stripes needed surgery. Dr. Day agreed to perform said surgery, at a cost of approximately $1,100, which was to be paid within 30 days. The surgery was performed and the total amount was paid. Some months later additional care was needed for the same cat, and subsequent to said treatment, lab work revealed that the cat was not going to survive, thus creating an additional $500+ in care costs. Dr. Day AGREED to my making payments. Dr. Day also told me that "I know you will pay me." Timely payments were made, with not so much as a phone call ever necessary, bringing the balance to zero. My other cat recently had an ear infection. I called Dr. Day's office and asked if she would see Snickers and allow me to make payments. I received a return call advising me that unless I could pay the office visit fee of $53.00, a payment plan would be discussed thereafter. I am a senior citizen, and my social security check arrives by the 15th of each month, and this woman couldn't wait 10 days for when compared to the other amounts of bills I have paid, was a small amount! First, the office visit charge of $53 is outrageous, when I compared this to many other reputable veterinary clinics, with the average being between $39 and $45. Second, I found it outrageous that JYPAH charges $400 to spay a cat! There isn't one person to whom I told this to who thinks this is not robbery! I was also stunned to see a charge of $58 for "hospital stay" of one day! THAT is robbery at its best! This "fee" is described as when the doctor looks at the pet before the pet is picked up by it's owner at the end of the day! NO other veterinary facility that I surveyed charges this! Approximately two months ago, I brought my cat Midnight to Dr. Day because she seemed to have some kind of skin issue. Dr. Day gave her a shot of steroids which cleared up the problem, only to return two weeks later! For this visit I was charged $150! There is no way I, nor anyone I know, could afford to pay $150 every two weeks for a steroid injection, notwithstanding the price was outrageous to begin with! Sadly, when my Stripes passed away, Dr. Day didn't even know WHY he passed away! I don't know why he died or what was wrong with him! I brought Stripes back on two occasions because I didn't feel he was doing well. Dr. Day thought he was doing just fine. Obviously not so. JYPAH is okay for very minor issues provided you have a lot of money! Loyalty means nothing to them, as I said after 11 years, I expected better. I cannot otherwise recommend this practice as money has become more important than the care of animals.

I will say Dr. Day is stunning. She's very honest and genuine. We always appreciate the time she puts in, even with follow up calls. Amazing.
The building is in a pretty busy area, but it is worth it!!

We have a jackrussell mix Boston terrier. We have had since she was 5 wks old. She was born with crystals in her kidneys, something to that extinct. She was sick, we looked up John young animal hospital, they gave us antibiotics for her it did wonders, but also she had be placed a certain food for urinary. It does wonders. She was 7/2009, now she is 8 years old, still kicking and yes full of energy. She has been going g there every since wouldn't trade this animal physility for the world.

They really take good care of Pets here.This is my preferred Clinic for pets because their care is Genuine, they are honest & they do not overcharge. Vets will not try to sell something your pet don't need. After an emergency, this is where my boyfriend took our Cat for urine monitoring & to remove his catheter. When I went here the following day,the cat is already happy and playful.They also offer pet boarding which I will do for my dog in the next few weeks.

Love this vet! This was my first time bringing my 85 pound pit mix to the vet. I was nervous since he isn't always friendly to strangers right away. Dr. Carey and Grace the vet tech were kind, compassionate, skilled and knowledgeable. They used positive reinforcement instead of brute force to successfully work with my pup. I will certainly be back. . The prices were also standard for the industry- not overinflated.

Let me give you a little background of my puppy dog. Honeybun is a Apricot Chinese Shar-Pei. "What's a Shar-Pei?" you ask. Think of a wrinkled up blanket that sits on your bed once you get up in the morning. That's what Honeybun looks like. That being said, when we adopted her, she was one of those puppies that you can tell is going to be a dog you need to watch when it comes to health. Upon the first visit, we found out that Honeybun has luxating patellas, meaning her kneecaps pop out of place.We brought our fur baby here as Dr. Day was recommended by the Florida Shar-Pei Rescue, and from our experiences with her, we can understand why. Dr. Day and Dr. Susla have both treated Honeybun, and both vets have been amazing with her. They've treated her as if she was their own baby, and I can't thank them enough. We have had a few scares with Honeybun, and being the anxious mommy I am, I bring her in the moment I feel like something is wrong with her. Like I said before, they are always quick to assess the problem and quick to solve it. They are also very reasonably priced in terms of exam fee. $50 for an exam plus whatever medicinal needs that are provided. Granted, every time we bring our pup into the vet, it's close to $200, but that's because Shar-Peis are generally a problematic breed. I couldn't ask for a more caring and helpful staff. Not only are the doctors helpful, but the actual staff deserve some love, too! Keep up the good work, ladies and gents! I would drive hours to bring Honeybun here!

Day or posting on google reviews, but the medication she prescribed for our dog's incontinence worked right away and worked great! i gave her a pill shortly after we got home yesterday, and she hasn't had an accident since! she lays around contentedly again, instead of getting up to go outside every 90 minutes. after a few hours, she goes outside for a nice long pee. she woke up clean and dry today, and went out and played ball, so she's having a great day and definitely enjoying an "improved quality of life". also, our $120 bill for exam, bloodwork, and prescription was very reasonable, as i know if we had still been in miami, it somehow would have cost $600. in miami, the other vet found a reason to give her iv fluids along with several other questionable charges almost every time! glad to have a good vet here!

I can't sing the praises of these doctors enough. They are not only great medical professionals but wonderful people as well. They are not in the business of trying to nickel and dime you and your pet. They take the time to out to call you and follow up to see how your furry angel is doing and they are conservative on treatments as to not over do any stress on your animal. I took my cat here when he was very sick after another vet did not follow my wishes for post surgery tests and even though I hate it my poor kitty had to endure unnecessary pain, it did lead me to JYPAH. Highly highly suggest!

I had gone to a wonderful vet in Lake Mary, when he sold his practice, I came here. Most ironically, I found out some time later that these vets had been working for him and purchased the practice from him when he retired. I have small, perceptive dogs, we had gone to several vets before we came here. We stayed because both my dogs love the vets. They are very thorough and take their time with the dogs and the owner's. Last year, we had multiple issues with my one dog and she was experiencing paralysis. Then two months later, she was hit by a car and her pet sitter waited hours to get her to the vet. They stayed past hours to care for her. It was doubtful she would live. The doctors, checked her multiple times over that weekend and calling me with updates -I was in the hospital so I was felt powerless. Very long story short, my dog is still alive and her ornery self. She had microsurgery at a different place at Dr. Day's recommendation.I have such respect and admiration for everyone in this office especially Dr. Day and Dr. Susla, who watched over her as if she were their own beloved dog. They are heroes in my book.Everyone at this office has an attitude of service. They aren't there to gouge you, they are there because they love animals.As a side note, I had gotten a second opinion, when my dog was experiencing paralysis, not only did my dog not like the vet. Her next trip, she thought she was going back there. When she realized that we were going to JYPAH, she stopped shaking! I believe they are her heroes as well!!!Thanks Dr. Day, Dr. Susla and Dr. Carey.

Highly impressed with this vet. I moved to Orlando and used them for the first time when I brought my 14 year old schnauzer here to be boarded for the first time ever. She has a special diet of chicken and rice and two pills twice a day. She did very well, they charged very little and they even helped me back to the car. I brought her back the next weekend for a check up. The doctor we saw works there part time...Dr. Carey. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. They didn't have one of the prescriptions she is on but they ordered it for me and at it up to refill and send to.my home directly each month. To top it off, they also accept Care Credit..which offers many interest free payment options if needed. I loved my vet before I moved and I was concerned about the quality I would get in Orlando but not anymore!

This Vet office took great care of my American Bulldog. We just moved from Austin, Texas, and we didn't have a vet yet. My Bully, got sick and we needed to get him help quickly. The staff was great, they said we could come in as soon as we were able. We didn't wait long to see a Vet, and a lot of the attention was spent making our big guy feel better. The Veterinarian stayed in to answer any questions and made sure we understood how to administer the medication. We felt comfortable, and not once did we feel rushed. The next day we got a call to check up on our Bully. The pricing is fair. The quality of care is fantastic. This is a great place to bring your beloved pets.

However, they've taken care of one of my cats beyond what any other vet has done before. The doctor makes himself available for me to call and report progress updates. And they really care about doing what's best for the animal, not selling to you.The real telling is in how gentle they are with my pet. You can tell they're not in a big rush and take their time to do things right. And they're very good at listening to concerns and explaining anything.I strongly recommend them for your pet. They'd get 5 stars from me if they didn't sell Science Diet. That stuff is not good for your pet, you should look up wheat gluten and the pet food recalls from several years ago. All major American pet food companies source their stuff from China and it's all the same junk, just with different labels.

I have been taking my cats here for several years and all of them see both Dr. Susla and Dr. Day. Both doctors are excellent and really take the time to listen to ensure they are getting all the information needed to diagnose the problem. Their prices are very reasonable, which is a huge plus. All the staff I have encountered are kind and really enjoy working with animals. I would highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian to take their animals to.

Granted, every time we bring our pup into the vet, it's close to $200, but that's because Shar-Peis are generally a problematic breed. I couldn't ask for a more caring and helpful staff. Not only are the doctors helpful, but the actual staff deserve some love, too! Keep up the good work, ladies and gents! I would drive hours to bring Honeybun here!

Took my 24 year old cat to see Dr Sussla. He is very knowledgeable, professional, caring, & honest. My cat is in good hands with him! Worth the hour drive. Nancy

I take all my animals to see Dr.Day! Both vets are great at what they do and make sure the animals get the top care they need! I will not trust anyone else buy JYPAH.

i was trying to decide between sending a thank you note to dr. Day or posting on google reviews, but the medication she prescribed for our dog's incontinence worked right away and worked great! i gave her a pill shortly after we got home yesterday, and she hasn't had an accident since! she lays around contentedly again, instead of getting up to go outside every 90 minutes. after a few hours, she goes outside for a nice long pee. she woke up clean and dry today, and went out and played ball, so she's having a great day and definitely enjoying an "improved quality of life". also, our $120 bill for exam, bloodwork, and prescription was very reasonable, as i know if we had still been in miami, it somehow would have cost $600. in miami, the other vet found a reason to give her iv fluids along with several other questionable charges almost every time! glad to have a good vet here!

I can't sing the praises of these doctors enough. They are not only great medical professionals but wonderful people as well. They are not in the business of trying to nickel and dime you and your pet...
I can't sing the praises of these doctors enough. They are not only great medical professionals but wonderful people as well. They are not in the business of trying to nickel and dime you and your pet. They take the time to out to call you and follow up to see how your furry angel is doing and they are conservative on treatments as to not over do any stress on your animal. I took my cat here when he was very sick after another vet did not follow my wishes for post surgery tests and even though I hate it my poor kitty had to endure unnecessary pain, it did lead me to JYPAH. Highly highly suggest!

Dr. Susla is wonderful and the rest if the staff are always friendly! I have a lab/pit mix that suffers from serious allergies & skin issues. She also blew out her knee. He never tries to over sell me...

I had gone to a wonderful vet in Lake Mary, when he sold his practice, I came here. Most ironically, I found out some time later that these vets had been working for him and purchased the practice from him when he retired. I have small, perceptive dogs, we had gone to several vets before we came here. We stayed because both my dogs love the vets. They are very thorough and take their time with the dogs and the owner's. Last year, we had multiple issues with my one dog and she was experiencing paralysis. Then two months later, she was hit by a car and her pet sitter waited hours to get her to the vet. They stayed past hours to care for her. It was doubtful she would live. The doctors, checked her multiple times over that weekend and calling me with updates -I was in the hospital so I was felt powerless. Very long story short, my dog is still alive and her ornery self. She had microsurgery at a different place at Dr. Day's recommendation.I have such respect and admiration for everyone in this office especially Dr. Day and Dr. Susla, who watched over her as if she were their own beloved dog. They are heroes in my book.Everyone at this office has an attitude of service. They aren't there to gouge you, they are there because they love animals.As a side note, I had gotten a second opinion, when my dog was experiencing paralysis, not only did my dog not like the vet. Her next trip, she thought she was going back there. When she realized that we were going to JYPAH, she stopped shaking! I believe they are her heroes as well!!!Thanks Dr. Day, Dr. Susla and Dr. Carey.

Highly impressed with this vet. I moved to Orlando and used them for the first time when I brought my 14 year old schnauzer here to be boarded for the first time ever. She has a special diet of chicken and rice and two pills twice a day. She did very well, they charged very little and they even helped me back to the car. I brought her back the next weekend for a check up. The doctor we saw works there part time...Dr. Carey. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. They didn't have one of the prescriptions she is on but they ordered it for me and at it up to refill and send to.my home directly each month. To top it off, they also accept Care Credit..which offers many interest free payment options if needed. I loved my vet before I moved and I was concerned about the quality I would get in Orlando but not anymore!

This Vet office took great care of my American Bulldog. We just moved from Austin, Texas, and we didn't have a vet yet. My Bully, got sick and we needed to get him help quickly. The staff was great, they said we could come in as soon as we were able. We didn't wait long to see a Vet, and a lot of the attention was spent making our big guy feel better. The Veterinarian stayed in to answer any questions and made sure we understood how to administer the medication. We felt comfortable, and not once did we feel rushed. The next day we got a call to check up on our Bully. The pricing is fair. The quality of care is fantastic. This is a great place to bring your beloved pets.

And they really care about doing what's best for the animal, not selling to you.The real telling is in how gentle they are with my pet. You can tell they're not in a big rush and take their time to do things right. And they're very good at listening to concerns and explaining anything.I strongly recommend them for your pet. They'd get 5 stars from me if they didn't sell Science Diet. That stuff is not good for your pet, you should look up wheat gluten and the pet food recalls from several years ago. All major American pet food companies source their stuff from China and it's all the same junk, just with different labels.

I have been taking my cats here for several years and all of them see both Dr. Susla and Dr. Day. Both doctors are excellent and really take the time to listen to ensure they are getting all the information needed to diagnose the problem. Their prices are very reasonable, which is a huge plus. All the staff I have encountered are kind and really enjoy working with animals. I would highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian to take their animals to.
