Worst customer service ever!! All they care about is squeezing every dollar possible out of you. Our dogs were seen by another vet and we have paperwork to prove it! But that doesn't matter this clinic wants you to repay for visits regardless if they are need just to get heartworm meds! Scam artists for sure. Stay clear!!!!Update to the clinics response;All our dogs have been treated there for the last 6 years and are current on everything with paperwork to prove it! But because 3 of them saw another vet while we were traveling you are saying "they aren't current patients" wow awesome loyalty program you guys have there. Not to mention when we called another vet as soon as the paperwork was provide we got the meds trifexis immediately and not to mention at a rate of $504 less a year then your clinic. Thanks to all the other reviews, i decided to give this vet a try after recently moving to the area. Dr. Hernandez truly is the sweetest vet I've met. She really loves what she does and is super knowledgeable. I love that unlike other vets they don't try to push you to get unnecessary shots or meds. There was a small misunderstanding with one of the techs but they went above and beyond to not only rectify the situation but also offered to pay for a grooming as an apology. Stay away! I was given an estimate for For $200 and ended up having to pay over $400 and was never given a revised estimate of cost before they rendered service . The staff was unhelpful in an office manager was not available and did not return my calls. I absolutely have zero trust in this facility and will not be going back. Read Less

The vets are very thorough and caring. The staff are friendly and caring. The prices are average with any other vet in the area. I have had many great experiences with this clinic. Brought my Maltese there for the first time last week since we just moved here and he needed more vaccines. The whole staff from the receptionist to the tech to the doctor were amazing. Have had nothing but wildly inconsistent care and terrible professionalism from this location. After charging me an arm and a leg for services I told them I didn't want (we went through with it because they insisted), they don't have any records from that visit. We had an X-ray done and it was impossible to get the results. We played phone tag with the vet for two weeks who kept saying she would call us at the end of the day. When we finally did get a hold of her, they couldn't locate the record or the x-ray. We were told she wanted to start a medication and after the phone tag, their response was "we don't have any record of a prescription." I know that vets need to make money and the cost can be frustrating, but I am more frustrated by the lack of follow up and inconsistent care on top of the $500+ bill. Will not be returning here. Small clinic in shopping mall. Small waiting room and exam rooms. The staff was nice but the vet introduces himself only as "Pedro". They did no blood work and separated me for a long time while they did "xrays". Sent me home with pain meds and muscle relaxer. My dog stopped eating. My home vet told me to stop muscle relaxers as they can cause nausea. Took him to another vet and had a much more professional experience. Read Less

We are from NC and had an emergency with our dog. My daughter called them and they worked us in and discovered our pup, Daisy, had an abscess on her shoulder. They performed surgery to drain it and we picked her up later that afternoon. We had planned to go to Disney the following day and were anticipating cancelling our plans but they let Daisy stay at the clinîc for a very reasonable fee and we picked her up early after going to Animal Kingdom for a few hours. I've been going here for several years due to convenience. So far, I've felt like they truly care about my animals. I don't expect them to remember every name or condition but they seem to chart everything well and the back of house staff has always been very pleasant with me and my lab. Burgundy has also been an amazing fixture at this office and I can't imagine it without her there. She holds up under pressure and always makes you feel welcomed. The ONLY complaint I have thus far is that they are pricier than other vets. Office visits are $10 more than average and other services tend to be on the higher side. Other than that, I hope they continue to treat me and my animals the way they do, and to show a caring passionate side as opposed to a conveyor belt of business and I will continue to come here. My prt was fine Thursday and Friday he started showing signs of weakness. By Saturday morning he can barely walk anf his weakness increased. I brought in my pet on a Saturday 30 min before they closed. Dr. Riviera cared for him and explained what might be happening to my pet. He recommended bloodwork and sent us home with medication . My pet's health deterioted by Sunday. To my surprise, Dr. Riviera called me on Sunday morning to tell me what they found un his bloodwork, which me and my husband suspected. We had put our beloved pet to sleep early Sunday afternoon so he wouldnt suffer any longer. Our pet was 16yrs 4 months . We can not thank him enough for calling on his day off to ease our mind to what we had to do which was already agonizing enough. Not prolonging my pet's suffereing was the best care Dr. Riviera could have given him. Walked in with my parents and their dog who was in severe distress. The place was chaotic (yes I know it is a vet; but dogs were fighting, people were standing around due to lack of seating, and the receptionist acted as though we were an inconvenience.) She stared as we described his symptoms and told us to wait. When I stated that I would be taking him to MY vet despite the lengthy drive, the receptionist finally piped up that she'd have someone "check him out". She took him in the back without us and brought him back about 30 seconds later claiming that he was "fine". At that point we left and came to my normal vet as we were made quite aware that this establishment is a mess and lacks concern and empathy. Read Less

No vet demonstrates as much technical knowledge and compassion in handling both our "Fur Kidz" and my wife and I. I really love this clinic. I've been coming here with my cats for two years for routine checkups and have always gotten exemplary service. We recently got a rescue dog and have visited the clinic multiple times in the past month for vaccine boosters, checkups, etc. and each experience has been terrific. The vet techs are kind and helpful and Dr. Rivera is so friendly and makes you feel like you're an old friend. Our dog is obese and they are all just as excited as I am when we see the scale go down!Today we noticed a lump on our dog's side and stopped by the clinic, hoping one of the techs could tell us if we should be worried and if they'd recommend an actual appointment next week to check it out with the vet. They were able to get us in with the doctor for a quick once-over within 10 minutes of our arrival at no charge. They are doing dog photos with Santa (Dr. Rivera) and the techs are going to be elves. You really get the feeling that the staff is one big happy family and that's a great environment to bring your animal to. Oh, and there is a dog bakery and groomer next door! It always makes the vet a better experience for my dog when she knows she'll get a dog cookie afterward. Read Less

They do book up fast (Lake Nona is getting bigger by the day) but do not hesitate to squeeze you in for an emergency. Dr. Rivera has got to be the best vet in Florida. Today was my boxer Brooklyn's first day seeing him since I moved to the area and needed a good vet. Little did I know she would end up with a fantastic doctor to take care of her. He took his time, was so attentive, explained everything he was doing in detail and took excellent care of my fur baby. My dog has been to many vets and does not like them to say the least, but I snapped a picture of her while in the office and she was giving me a good puppy smile which makes a mother happy. My shih tzu puppy loves coming here! They always explain exactly what they are doing as they are doing it rather than just examining the dog and telling you everything at the end. The staff is so friendly and they communicate through email very well. We needed to board our dog for a few days and they faced his records with no delay as soon as I called. We've been seeing Dr. Hernandez for a few years and she's always been amazing. On Monday our sweet cat, Sammy, was hit by a car and our neighbor rushed him to Lake Nona Animal Clinic. Dr Hernandez saved his life and she and her staff were amazing as we grieved the possibility of losing him. Thanks to their actions and recommendations for a specialist Sammy is coming home from the hospital in better condition than we imagined. i wanted to take a moment and thank the entire staff at Lake Nona Animal Clinic, and let everyone know how truly lucky we are to have such an amazing facility, with such a caring staff, right in our backyard. They took amazing care of our 2 year old boston terrier who needed surgery to remove foreign objects from her stomach & intestinal track. We were very scared and our dog wasn't doing well. The staff performed surgery the same day and was able to keep any further damage from being done. A week later she's doing so much better. She still has a couple weeks to go to be fully recovered, but this staff is top notch. I can't stress enough how detail oriented they are when it comes to explaining every step of procedures, following up, and just making themselves available to talk to about any concerns along the way. i work in an industry that very customer service heavy, and i've left learned a few things from this great place.
