Look at all the five star reviews! You do not need to look any further for your furbaby's care...you have found the best of the best! I recently got a new puppy, a little Italian Greyhound, and was nervous about finding a good veterinarian for her. I read all the reviews here and wanted to get in to see Dr. Rey but there were no appointments available on short notice, so I was booked to see Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin, and his assistant Corinne, were both so amazing! Dr. Martin patiently answered all of my questions, and I ask a LOT of questions! LOL! Corinne gave suggestions for general new puppy care as well, such as house training and separation anxiety, etc. The office itself appears brand new, or recently remodeled, and very clean and comforting. As a result of my amazing experience with the vet and his tech, I have been bringing my puppy Vita for their "day boarding" several times per week, and she LOVES it! Actually, the receptionist there, Jocelyn, helped me pick out a name for the puppy, Vita! The ENTIRE staff has been sooo super sweet and friendly to Vita! Jocelyn, Di, Cheyenne, Jamie, Semarra, and Brandon and Colton in the back, are ALL so sweet to little Vita! I am sure I am leaving someone out...and I apologize if I have! Anyway, Vita gets SO excited to go to Loch Haven in the mornings...she literally starts flailing her skinny little legs! The staff showers her with love and treats when she is there. When I pick her up, the staff gives me updates on how she did, whether she ate her food, peed or pooped, etc. This place is truly amazing! You can really tell that they ALL care for Vita almost as much as I do! It is not cheap for sure, but if you can afford it, I highly recommend Loch Haven Animal Hospital! You will NOT be disappointed! FIVE STARS!

Just moved from Miami and having to find doctors for my family (including my dog Khloe) was a big deal. I came across great reviews about this place, so I gave it a shot ! Called to make an appointment and they were so friendly on the phone and fit me in within 2 days! Brought her in today for her visit and the office was so nice and clean ! EVERYONE was so sweet with my Khloe! Dr. Martin was very nice and gentle with my old girl and so were the Vet techs... I think we found a new Vet office

When it relates to my dog-daughter I admit that I can be difficult, unreasonable and demanding--because I fiercely love her and will only accept the very best care for her, and over and over that is what I get from Dr. Rey at Loch Haven (and the whole staff). Frankly, I am concerned that my review will be flagged as fake because I have such over the top, fabulous opinions of this establishment. I began taking my pets to Dr. Rey over ten years ago and she has been a steady, incredibly capable, ridiculously intelligent doctor who has left a permanently warm mark on our lives. Not to mention she is all soft and gooey and baby talks to the pets but is serious, all-business regarding treatment. She and Affiliated Vet Specialists recently saved my chihuahua's life--literally. I know for certain that the ending to this story could have been sadly different at a host of lesser skilled vets. Simply stated, you know when you are in the presence of a gifted human who humbly resists the title of "the best" so I strongly urge you to experience this for yourselves. Missed a cancer diagnosis by assuming it was a fatty tumor. By the time I personally initiated its removal for my own peace of mind, it was too late and the tumor returned shortly after removal. I had to put my dog down, but not before I found a different veterinarian at a different clinic that was caring, present and made recommendations for care and treatment. I wish I had changed vets sooner.

A small tumor on my dog was dismissed as a harmless fatty tumor and no action was recommended such as a biopsy or removal. This assumption would cost my dog her life.The tumor grew and on my own accord, I asked that during a dental extraction surgery, that the tumor be removed. Not because the veterinarian recommended it, but on my own gut instinct.The tumor was removed and surprise! It's cancer. Due to the tumors size, they weren't able to remove all of it, so the tumor returned quickly and with a vengeance. After the surgery, she developed a hacking cough. He (the vet) said "Well, If it's bothering you, you could get a chest x-ray". It's not a matter if it's bothering me - something is wrong with my dog and I am trying to take care of her. I don't understand this nonchalant approach to veterinary care whatsoever. I'm paying for expertise. Tell me what needs to be done and I'll do it. At this point - my dog clearly isn't receiving proper care. I took her to another local vet who gave my dog the care, time and benefit of expertise she deserved by MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS. And that x-ray - a collapsing trachea. A vet should've recommended an x-ray out of concern for the dog, not because it's bothering the owner. She was treated with medication and was a bit more comfortable until the pain of her cancer grew and I had to put her down soon thereafter. I trusted her to his care, and clearly, it wasn't a priority. RIP, little girl.

Perhaps I would have considered taking my cats to this vet if a crazy man in a gold truck had not chased me down in the parking lot. This deranged man wanted to know who I was and why I was in his lot. In my entire life, I have never been so frightened by a stranger. Who is this man and why is he policing a vet parking lot like it’s a national security issue. With the amount of vets in the Orlando area this place should treat people with more respect.

I drove past this vet multiple times and decided to make an appointment for a yearly check up for my 12 year old cat. The receptionists were extremely kind and got me in for an appointment the following week. The vet and vet techs took their time examining my girl, they offered me advice and products to help with her skin allergies. At no point in time did I feel pressured to choose treatment options (which has happened when I've gone to other vets). The whole staff is amazing. They treat you like family and clearly care about the animals. I am so glad I chose this vet!

Truly amazing staff. All 4 of my animals (3 dogs and 1 cat) are patients of Dr. Ray - she just has a way with our pets. Prior to finding Loch Haven we'd often bounce around to various vets because none of them really felt right. We've been coming to Loch Haven for about 3 years now and we've done it all here - emergency visits, spay/neuter, injuries and routine vaccines. No matter what the case is we walk away confident that any member of the Loch Haven staff will treat our pet as if it's their own and that's the kind of place you want your animal treated.

My family and I recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to let go of our 12 year old Jack Russel Phoenix:( It was the hardest decision of our lives but we were comforted by Dr. Martin and his staff. They were extremely kind, compassionate, caring, and personable. They understood our position and made us as comfortable as possible at such an incredibly painful time. Words can’t express how much it meant to our family to have such an empathetic doctor and staff. We were not rushed, we were encouraged to take all the time we needed and guided thoroughly through the entire process. No one wants to lose their best friend, but thank you Loch Haven Vet Hospital for softening the heart breaking blow. We are forever very grateful.

I did not feel pressured to purchase things or services as I have at other places. This was nice. I felt like the vet had nice bedside manner. He seemed to care about my dog and did not seem like he only cared about the business side of it. I plan to return here for my future needs!

Excellent care from top notch vets. Great staff - helpful, friendly and attentive. Dr. Martin saved two of our dogs lives - one where a specialist said we would have to put him down, and with his care and local guidance lived another 19 months with us AND our little dachshund that got stung by bees and almost died - he and Dr. Rey are the BEST of the BEST! I have been going to this Veterinary Hospital for 8 years. They have been wonderful at helping me keep my 12 year old Chihuahua healthy. I wanted to write a review because my dog "Mr. Peanut" needed surgery this week to remove a stone from his bladder. They were able to squeeze him in immediately. I priced the surgery around at other clinics and received estimates over $ 3,600. Loch haven came in at $ 1534. My It's been only 7 days and my dog is back to being himself and begging me for treats ! The wound is healing very well and my world is much better knowing he will be around for some time to come... :)

Best experience I have ever had. A friend had recommended them to me a couple of years ago when the vet I had previously used passed away. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and most important caring. Dr Martin is amazing, I experienced his compassion when my cavalier got sick (stroke and CHF) he made himself available to me in a way I have never seen any vet do. I highly recommend this vet practice to anyone you will not find a better practice in Orlando. Thank you Loch Haven for loving my Molly as much as I do and caring for her so well.

I've seen every vet now and they each have a true genuine love for animals that is undeniable. The techs as well are always cheery and loving on my dogs. If you love your pets and want them to be treated with love and get great care, I highly recommend this vet.

Two weeks ago, my dog was hit by an SUV. We had never been to Loch Haven, but it was only five minutes away from the accident. I called not even five minutes ahead, and when I arrived a group of people were already there to carry her into the office. Throughout the day, both the doctor and staff kept me updated and informed about her condition. During her check-up appointments the staff greeted her by her name and gave her so much love. Dogs are truly part of the family and this office treats them as such. They make the treatments as affordable as possible, and even sent me home with extra food (as she had some lacerations around her mouth). Cricket has made full recovery thanks to the caring hearts at Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital. This is Cricket's new permanent veterinary clinic, and she loves going to say 'Hi" to her favorite buds. Thanks guys!

My dog Barclay has seen Dr. Rey at this location and has had some x-rays and his teeth cleaned. They're very tolerant of my dog's neuroses and have realized a large jar of Jif usually goes a long way when it comes to being cooperative. They were also very tolerant of my neuroses and agreed with my request to try conservative treatment when my dog pulled or tore something in his back leg (he's fine now, yay).

We have been going to Loch Haven Veterinary since 2002. We used to live in the Orlando area, and have since moved to Volusia County, and still travel to Orlando to see him. We have 3 cats, and 2 dogs, and this is our second string of dogs. Otto, is a handful ( a "rescue" dog in the true sense of the word ) and Dr. Martin and his staff are very good with him. Schatzie ( inherited from my Mom, is going on 15 years old ) dog, is insulin dependent, which was discovered by Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin and his staff give great supportive care. Obviously I recommend Dr. Martin, and Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital.

I have taken all of my animals there for many years. Something has changed over the past few months. My cat has digestive problems and has been there quite a lot over the past 3 months. The Drs. can't seem to offer any treatment other than drugs and enemas and those are only short-term. When I voiced my frustration and told them I would take her to another vet, they sent her home without cleaning the mess the enema caused.

I recently had to put my 15 year old lab/chow mix down because of cancer. The staff was so attentive and sympathetic the second I came in the door. All I had to say was ""it's time"". I feel the staff is so well educated and they use the best procedures possible. Everything was thoroughly explained to me. I wanted to stay for the entire process. The first thing that happened was my dog was given a sedative. This is very different from any other time I have been through this.....but it was awesome in that the dog just went to sleep. There was no struggle what so ever. It was the most peaceful I had seen her in months. After seeing her so peaceful I really did not need to see the rest of the process and it left me feeling better than I expected. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

I felt compelled to write a review after reading the negative reviews here. We've been visiting this office since our pup was 8 weeks old (now 8 months old) and have never been treated with anything less than caring and professional service. Dr. Rey and staff do a wonderful job. I see the most recent review was from a year ago and maybe things were different then, but we are totally satisfied with the care being given now by the doctors at Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital.

Our golden was 12 when diagnosed with cancer. Dr Rey and her staff were amazing with helping us through his terminal illness. Megan at the front desk always has a smile for you, or on our golden's last day a hug. We will always hold a special place in our heart for Dr. Rey, as she guided us through a very difficult time. You will never just feel like a number at Loch Haven, they take the time to know their clients. Loch Haven is an amazing place with amazing people. Look no further if you need a vet office who cares about you and your beloved pet.

New in Orlando, was referral to this place when I moved in last year.
Latter my 13 years old dog start having problems walking, I take her there, they recommend X-Rays, we schedule, I take the dog as requested 7.30am, fasting since the nite before as she had to be sedated.
I find out almost 5pm that dog had not been sedated because they wanted to talk to me, but no one calls me till 4.10pm that day.... and my dog, who is old and sick spends the full day in this vet, without food or water, without anyone wondering what she is doing there....
Unhappily my experience is that I do not trust their services and care to the pets they treat.

I recently moved to the Orlando area and after having everyone I know tell me that Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital has such a caring staff I decided I had to go check it out for myself. The staff lived up to my expectations from the moment I walked in the door the receptionists were so caring and friendly, they just wanted to play with my dog while we were waiting in the waiting room. I can not speak enough about Dr. Martin he is so understanding and really takes time to listen to any concerns I had plus he was wonderful with my dog who is usually terrified to go to the vet. I recommend if you are searching for a vet to go check out Loch Haven, I think I found my new Vet!

I'm a former customer and needed a prescription filled, so I called to ask what I would need. They told me bring medical records from current vet, and I'd be set. The very next morning, after schlepping to my vet, getting copies, and driving to Loch Haven during rush hour, I was then told they would not fill it as per their policy - a policy which was never mentioned when I called the previous day. No one seemed to care that I just wasted a morning doing what they instructed me to do. I left there years ago due to dissatisfaction with the staff & vets, and this experience just confirmed I did the right thing. I recommend folks looking for a vet to go a few miles South to the Animal Medical Clinic on Bumby and Curry Ford. Fantastic doctors, great facility, and very competent and caring support staff.

Look at all the five star reviews! You do not need to look any further for your furbaby's care...you have found the best of the best! I recently got a new puppy, a little Italian Greyhound, and was nervous about finding a good veterinarian for her. I read all the reviews here and wanted to get in to see Dr. Rey but there were no appointments available on short notice, so I was booked to see Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin, and his assistant Corinne, were both so amazing! Dr. Martin patiently answered all of my questions, and I ask a LOT of questions! LOL! Corinne gave suggestions for general new puppy care as well, such as house training and separation anxiety, etc. The office itself appears brand new, or recently remodeled, and very clean and comforting. As a result of my amazing experience with the vet and his tech, I have been bringing my puppy Vita for their "day boarding" several times per week, and she LOVES it! Actually, the receptionist there, Jocelyn, helped me pick out a name for the puppy, Vita! The ENTIRE staff has been sooo super sweet and friendly to Vita! Jocelyn, Di, Cheyenne, Jamie, Semarra, and Brandon and Colton in the back, are ALL so sweet to little Vita! I am sure I am leaving someone out...and I apologize if I have! Anyway, Vita gets SO excited to go to Loch Haven in the mornings...she literally starts flailing her skinny little legs! The staff showers her with love and treats when she is there. When I pick her up, the staff gives me updates on how she did, whether she ate her food, peed or pooped, etc. This place is truly amazing! You can really tell that they ALL care for Vita almost as much as I do! It is not cheap for sure, but if you can afford it, I highly recommend Loch Haven Animal Hospital! You will NOT be disappointed! FIVE STARS!

Called to make an appointment and they were so friendly on the phone and fit me in within 2 days! Brought her in today for her visit and the office was so nice and clean ! EVERYONE was so sweet with my Khloe! Dr. Martin was very nice and gentle with my old girl and so were the Vet techs... I think we found a new Vet office

When it relates to my dog-daughter I admit that I can be difficult, unreasonable and demanding--because I fiercely love her and will only accept the very best care for her, and over and over that is what I get from Dr. Rey at Loch Haven (and the whole staff). Frankly, I am concerned that my review will be flagged as fake because I have such over the top, fabulous opinions of this establishment. I began taking my pets to Dr. Rey over ten years ago and she has been a steady, incredibly capable, ridiculously intelligent doctor who has left a permanently warm mark on our lives. Not to mention she is all soft and gooey and baby talks to the pets but is serious, all-business regarding treatment. She and Affiliated Vet Specialists recently saved my chihuahua's life--literally. I know for certain that the ending to this story could have been sadly different at a host of lesser skilled vets. Simply stated, you know when you are in the presence of a gifted human who humbly resists the title of "the best" so I strongly urge you to experience this for yourselves. I had to put my dog down, but not before I found a different veterinarian at a different clinic that was caring, present and made recommendations for care and treatment. I wish I had changed vets sooner.

This assumption would cost my dog her life.The tumor grew and on my own accord, I asked that during a dental extraction surgery, that the tumor be removed. Not because the veterinarian recommended it, but on my own gut instinct.The tumor was removed and surprise! It's cancer. Due to the tumors size, they weren't able to remove all of it, so the tumor returned quickly and with a vengeance. After the surgery, she developed a hacking cough. He (the vet) said "Well, If it's bothering you, you could get a chest x-ray". It's not a matter if it's bothering me - something is wrong with my dog and I am trying to take care of her. I don't understand this nonchalant approach to veterinary care whatsoever. I'm paying for expertise. Tell me what needs to be done and I'll do it. At this point - my dog clearly isn't receiving proper care. I took her to another local vet who gave my dog the care, time and benefit of expertise she deserved by MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS. And that x-ray - a collapsing trachea. A vet should've recommended an x-ray out of concern for the dog, not because it's bothering the owner. She was treated with medication and was a bit more comfortable until the pain of her cancer grew and I had to put her down soon thereafter. I trusted her to his care, and clearly, it wasn't a priority. RIP, little girl.

This deranged man wanted to know who I was and why I was in his lot. In my entire life, I have never been so frightened by a stranger. Who is this man and why is he policing a vet parking lot like it’s a national security issue. With the amount of vets in the Orlando area this place should treat people with more respect.

I drove past this vet multiple times and decided to make an appointment for a yearly check up for my 12 year old cat. The receptionists were extremely kind and got me in for an appointment the following week. The vet and vet techs took their time examining my girl, they offered me advice and products to help with her skin allergies. At no point in time did I feel pressured to choose treatment options (which has happened when I've gone to other vets). The whole staff is amazing. They treat you like family and clearly care about the animals. I am so glad I chose this vet!

Truly amazing staff. All 4 of my animals (3 dogs and 1 cat) are patients of Dr. Ray - she just has a way with our pets. Prior to finding Loch Haven we'd often bounce around to various vets because none of them really felt right. We've been coming to Loch Haven for about 3 years now and we've done it all here - emergency visits, spay/neuter, injuries and routine vaccines. No matter what the case is we walk away confident that any member of the Loch Haven staff will treat our pet as if it's their own and that's the kind of place you want your animal treated.

My family and I recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to let go of our 12 year old Jack Russel Phoenix:( It was the hardest decision of our lives but we were comforted by Dr. Martin and his staff. They were extremely kind, compassionate, caring, and personable. They understood our position and made us as comfortable as possible at such an incredibly painful time. Words can’t express how much it meant to our family to have such an empathetic doctor and staff. We were not rushed, we were encouraged to take all the time we needed and guided thoroughly through the entire process. No one wants to lose their best friend, but thank you Loch Haven Vet Hospital for softening the heart breaking blow. We are forever very grateful.

I did not feel pressured to purchase things or services as I have at other places. This was nice. I felt like the vet had nice bedside manner. I have been going to this Veterinary Hospital for 8 years. They have been wonderful at helping me keep my 12 year old Chihuahua healthy. I wanted to write a review because my dog "Mr. Peanut" needed surgery this week to remove a stone from his bladder. They were able to squeeze him in immediately. I priced the surgery around at other clinics and received estimates over $ 3,600. Loch haven came in at $ 1534. My It's been only 7 days and my dog is back to being himself and begging me for treats ! The wound is healing very well and my world is much better knowing he will be around for some time to come... :)

Best experience I have ever had. A friend had recommended them to me a couple of years ago when the vet I had previously used passed away. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and most important caring. Dr Martin is amazing, I experienced his compassion when my cavalier got sick (stroke and CHF) he made himself available to me in a way I have never seen any vet do. I highly recommend this vet practice to anyone you will not find a better practice in Orlando. Thank you Loch Haven for loving my Molly as much as I do and caring for her so well.

Two weeks ago, my dog was hit by an SUV. We had never been to Loch Haven, but it was only five minutes away from the accident. I called not even five minutes ahead, and when I arrived a group of people were already there to carry her into the office. Throughout the day, both the doctor and staff kept me updated and informed about her condition. During her check-up appointments the staff greeted her by her name and gave her so much love. Dogs are truly part of the family and this office treats them as such. They make the treatments as affordable as possible, and even sent me home with extra food (as she had some lacerations around her mouth). Cricket has made full recovery thanks to the caring hearts at Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital. This is Cricket's new permanent veterinary clinic, and she loves going to say 'Hi" to her favorite buds. Thanks guys!

They're very tolerant of my dog's neuroses and have realized a large jar of Jif usually goes a long way when it comes to being cooperative. They were also very tolerant of my neuroses and agreed with my request to try conservative treatment when my dog pulled or tore something in his back leg (he's fine now, yay).

We have been going to Loch Haven Veterinary since 2002. We used to live in the Orlando area, and have since moved to Volusia County, and still travel to Orlando to see him. We have 3 cats, and 2 dogs, and this is our second string of dogs. Otto, is a handful ( a "rescue" dog in the true sense of the word ) and Dr. Martin and his staff are very good with him. Schatzie ( inherited from my Mom, is going on 15 years old ) dog, is insulin dependent, which was discovered by Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin and his staff give great supportive care. Obviously I recommend Dr. Martin, and Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital.

I have taken all of my animals there for many years. Something has changed over the past few months. My cat has digestive problems and has been there quite a lot over the past 3 months. The Drs. can't seem to offer any treatment other than drugs and enemas and those are only short-term. When I voiced my frustration and told them I would take her to another vet, they sent her home without cleaning the mess the enema caused.

I recently had to put my 15 year old lab/chow mix down because of cancer. The staff was so attentive and sympathetic the second I came in the door. All I had to say was ""it's time"". I feel the staff is so well educated and they use the best procedures possible. Everything was thoroughly explained to me. I wanted to stay for the entire process. The first thing that happened was my dog was given a sedative. This is very different from any other time I have been through this.....but it was awesome in that the dog just went to sleep. There was no struggle what so ever. It was the most peaceful I had seen her in months. After seeing her so peaceful I really did not need to see the rest of the process and it left me feeling better than I expected. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

I felt compelled to write a review after reading the negative reviews here. We've been visiting this office since our pup was 8 weeks old (now 8 months old) and have never been treated with anything less than caring and professional service. Dr. Rey and staff do a wonderful job. I see the most recent review was from a year ago and maybe things were different then, but we are totally satisfied with the care being given now by the doctors at Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital.

Our golden was 12 when diagnosed with cancer. Dr Rey and her staff were amazing with helping us through his terminal illness. Megan at the front desk always has a smile for you, or on our golden's last day a hug. We will always hold a special place in our heart for Dr. Rey, as she guided us through a very difficult time. You will never just feel like a number at Loch Haven, they take the time to know their clients. Loch Haven is an amazing place with amazing people. Look no further if you need a vet office who cares about you and your beloved pet.

New in Orlando, was referral to this place when I moved in last year.
Latter my 13 years old dog start having problems walking, I take her there, they recommend X-Rays, we schedule, I take the dog as requested 7.30am, fasting since the nite before as she had to be sedated.
I find out almost 5pm that dog had not been sedated because they wanted to talk to me, but no one calls me till 4.10pm that day.... and my dog, who is old and sick spends the full day in this vet, without food or water, without anyone wondering what she is doing there....
Unhappily my experience is that I do not trust their services and care to the pets they treat.

I recently moved to the Orlando area and after having everyone I know tell me that Loch Haven Veterinary Hospital has such a caring staff I decided I had to go check it out for myself. The staff lived up to my expectations from the moment I walked in the door the receptionists were so caring and friendly, they just wanted to play with my dog while we were waiting in the waiting room. I can not speak enough about Dr. Martin he is so understanding and really takes time to listen to any concerns I had plus he was wonderful with my dog who is usually terrified to go to the vet. I recommend if you are searching for a vet to go check out Loch Haven, I think I found my new Vet!

I'm a former customer and needed a prescription filled, so I called to ask what I would need. They told me bring medical records from current vet, and I'd be set. The very next morning, after schlepping to my vet, getting copies, and driving to Loch Haven during rush hour, I was then told they would not fill it as per their policy - a policy which was never mentioned when I called the previous day. No one seemed to care that I just wasted a morning doing what they instructed me to do. I left there years ago due to dissatisfaction with the staff & vets, and this experience just confirmed I did the right thing. I recommend folks looking for a vet to go a few miles South to the Animal Medical Clinic on Bumby and Curry Ford. Fantastic doctors, great facility, and very competent and caring support staff.
