Donald Ross Village Animal Hospital

I brought my puppy in to Donald Ross Village Animal Hospital for routine care, vaccinations, and a neuter during the first year. The doctor and staff here are amazing - they seem to know every pet by name. They have one day that the office works later hours, which is awesome if you work till 5:00 and would rather not take time off just to take your dog to the vet. They have a great groomer too, if you can get an appointment with her! As for the previous review about the vaccinations, I personally have not paid anywhere near that much for routine vaccinations here. Read Less

Best Veterinarians in Florida and an Amazing Staff. They are extremely caring understanding. We have been going to Donald Ross Animal Hospital for over 11 years .they are like family to us. we would never go anywhere else. Love this place! This is not your normal run of the mill veterinary hospital. The staff goes over and beyond to make you feel comfortable. We recently moved here from New Jersey and have never experienced such great care and COMPASSION from any other veterinarian. Dr. Teresa spent a great amount of time with us and made us feel "at home". Exam costs and treatments were quite reasonable as well. We definitely recommend this place. Read Less

Would have given 5 stars for the staff, but unfortunately nobody bothered to tell me that I'd pay $344 for TWO combo vaccines. I worked at an animal hospital for 7 years and know how much it costs the doctor to buy them, and my previous employer would only charge customers $55 per combo WITH free exam. Be sure to get an estimate before doing any business with this place.They charged me $345 for two combo vaccines that should have cost $55 each.  When I said something to the staff, their response was, "Our prices are competitive; check around and you'll see."  So I did.  The VERY FIRST listing on Google charged $200 LESS that this one.  I wish I would have called around  before making this EXPENSIVE mistake.  Do yourself a favor and save some money by going somewhere else.BTW, I worked at an animal hospital for 7 years and know how much this vaccine should have cost me (~$60/each) so this is why I'm absolutely DISGUSTED with their prices.Side note: I would have given them 5 stars because a few weeks ago the staff was able to accommodate me when my dog had an emergency.  For this reason, I wanted to go back to them for the vaccines and make them my permanent vet.  This forever changed my mind and I will NEVER return to this establishment.Update 3/14/2017: In response to this establishment's response about 1-year vaccines versus 3-year vaccines, there is NO SUCH THING as THEY ARE THE SAME VACCINE!  As mentioned before, I worked at an animal hospital as a vet tech and KNOW the difference in 1-year vs. 3-year has to do with whether or not the animal has EVER been vaccinated before.  If you are vaccinating a puppy, then it's 1-year; if the dog has EVER had a vaccine previously, then it will ALWAYS be a 3-year.  This establishment should educate themselves before making dumb comments like this.  I feel fortunate enough to have the knowledge to know they are blowing a bunch of smoke and mirrors to try to make up for the fact that they are ROBBING you hand over fist!Another side note - this literally happened YESTERDAY: I was taking my dogs to a new groomer, who called them for the vaccine history and this establishment REFUSED to provide any details about my dogs, stating that my record was "inactive and sealed."  Are you kidding me?  I can only assume they are refusing to answer any questions about my pets simply because I wrote this review and won't do business with them anymore.  It's too bad their staff are so immature that they refuse to answer another professional's questions about my pets simply because they don't like my opinion of them.  The groomer even recognized how rude the staff were, and totally understood why I refused to go back to them!  Do yourself a favor and FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! My kitty had a loose tooth, and I called the office immediately. They told me to come right away (it was 5 p.m.). Dr. Teresa pulled the tooth and kitty had relief. I'm so glad these are my vets. They're the best. Read Less

I have been to several vets in the local area and I decided to get a second opinion by Dr. Teresa based on several recommendations from other people. I am so glad I went to her. She spent almost an hour with me going over my previous records and explained in detail every step that needed to be taken in order to get my dog, Cookie, feeling better. Dr. Teresa also personally called me to follow up with Cookie on her days off, which really meant alot. She is doing great and I owe it all to Dr. Teresa. They also offer grooming services which I was just as satisfied with. I highly recommend her to everyone in the Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens area. Read Less

Bottom line-If you want the best care for your pet this is the place to go! Dr. Teresa is the most caring and compassionate Vet around. There are many good and bad Veterinarians around but not many Great ones! She is one of the great ones! I have read the bad reviews on here and have to say that they are untrue. Everyone has a bad day once in a while and may not always get what they would call good service, but badmouthing a good, honest professional is just wrong. Read Less

Great veterinarian, superior service, very friendly staff. I have been going to Dr. Teresa for over 7 years and I could not recommend a better veterinarian. Her compassion for animals is amazing. Before I found her, my 2 year old Labrador Retriever was paralyzed in her rear limbs and my previous vet told me to put her to sleep. A friend gave me Dr. Teresa's information and she quickly diagnosed a compression on her spine and referred me to a specialist who performed surgery and saved my dogs life. She gave me her cell number and called me everyday until my dog was fully recovered. I will always be grateful for everything Dr. Teresa and her staff did for Raney! Read Less

Prior to making an appointment and meeting Dr. Teresa, I was about to give up on vets in this area. But a friend recommended Dr. Teresa to me. I have to say, I am glad she did. When I walked in to the facility, I would have never had guess it was a vet office aside from the food and pictures in the lobby. This facility was very clean and no smell of animals. The front desk help was efficient and pleasant. They got me into a room in a timely fashion. Dr. Teresa came in and introduced herself. She and her assistant were very welcoming. My dog was having issues with his back leg. After doing an exam on him, she recommended that we do an xray just to see what was going on. The xray showed the start of arthritis. Dr. Teresa prescribed anti-inflammatory and glucosamine supplements. My dog has now been on this treatment for 2 weeks and I have seen a great improvement! I would definitely recommend this vet office to a friend! Read Less

With my scheduled appointment ( no one else in the waiting room) still took a 40 minute wait to see the Doctor. My visit cost was $180, with no relief for the animal. No warm fuzzies from the Doctor. Will not be going back. Read Less

Save your money! In all fairness I must say the regular vet was on maternity leave. I had the covering vet. We spent over $400 and NOTHING she prescribed worked and then wonders why we did not come back for a follow up visit. Front desk staff is very nice but that does not help the animal feel better. I was recently at this animal hospital for vaccines and grooming for my Maltie-Poo, and I can't say enough about this office. My friend reffered me to Dr. Rotenberry when I told her I was looking for a new veterinarian. I was not expecting the kind of service I received. The doctor and her staff went above and beyond to provide the best care for my pup. I am glad to say that I have found a vet for life.
