I am appalled by the treatment of my dog and myself. I brought him in because I was scared for his life - he had, what appears to be, 3 seizures in 2 days. I brought him in after being told that an exam would be $80. Upon arrival I was greeted by a nice receptionist and didn't feel like my wait was too long to see a technician. It was a bit longer to see the veterinarian, Jillian Schwartz. My experience with Dr. Schwartz was terrible - I did not feel listened to AT ALL, she spent more time talking about how he hasn't been to the vet recently enough than about the health of my dog. She barely let me get a word in & when I did I was either cut off or she was talking over me. I am my dog's voice and my dog is you patient. My dog was a rescue and is fearful of touch, I explained this to everyone there, but no care was taken to be gentle (and the vet tech aggressively grabbing the scruff of his neck is the WORST way to handle a fearful dog! I should have recognized the incompetence there and walked out). After the initial exam Schwartz told me every worst case/deadly scenario & quoted me for $350 for blood work, which I agreed to. When the results came back, most everything was in the normal range, but anything that was on the lower or higher end was again what disease/disorder it is and how it is going to kill my dog. I cried four times in the room. The plasma count was very low (which of course could cause my dog to bleed to death from any little knock or bump) so they wanted to retest, do a urinalysis, & do a test for heart worm & tick borne diseases - even though I told her that I do give him heart worm medicine & flea and tick prevention (again not being listened to). Of course I agreed to this because I was terrified at this point. I informed her that I had to pick up my husband at 8pm - she even verified that I want to be there to pick him up at 8, not leave at 8. It almost seemed spiteful that I sat there for an hour (it was only supposed to take 20-30 mins) waiting for these results and at 8:30 I had to look for another staff member to let her know that it was taking much longer than I was told (and again not listened to).Everything came back normal except that he was a little dehydrated (we were already here for 3 hours so I was too!). But of course it can't be so simple - now it must be his kidneys failing. This is when I really caught wind of what was happening - that this vet is using fear tactics to up sell services. She then offered to sell me, basically, doggie pedialyte for $35, to keep him overnight (for who knows how much?!) and, of course, more tests. I refused. Very strange too that every other dog seems to have the same diagnosis - somethings wrong, we don't know what, let's do more tests, still don't know, repeat, repeat, repeat, thanks for your money. One poor guy had a 6 year old dog & said he had already spent $10k on vet bills there & still doesn't know what's wrong (should have been my first clue to get out of there). Also strange that even though my dog is scared and not feeling good, I can't go with him to have the blood work & tests done. The pediatrician lets you stay with your kids while they give treatment or tests. What are you even doing back there? Who knows. Meanwhile, the reason for my visit still wasn't addressed, I have no more information than when I arrived (especially since the email of the results has yet to be received by myself). On top of all of this, Schwartz was still attacking me for not taking him to the vet regularly - at this point I wonder - why would I? I feel emotionally grated, I am given no information at all - at the cost of 3.5 hours, my own emotional/mental wellbeing, $450, and I don't even know that any tests were even done! I left feeling so taken advantage of, that my emotions were preyed upon, that all I payed for was a guilt trip. I will NEVER return, or recommend this office to anyone. Read Less
