We just moved into the Miramar area and did not have a vet picked yet. These guys were awesome and open when almost no one else was. They helped us right after Hurricane Irma when Bella sprained her back and was barely walking. Dr Puig was caring knowledgeable and didn't prescribe unnecessary meds or treatments. I understand people are saying this guy is caring but what vet isnt. I decided to give this place a one star because of I was ripped off. So my dog got bit by another dog at the dog park. Honestly I don't know why I didn't just handle it myself because I work in surgery but whatever maybe a vet would know something. My dogs ears were bleeding because a big of skin was hanging off. He took my dog in and he comes out with stitches. Now, I have experience with doing stitches and know that the cut my dog had was no where near the point of getting stitches. Dr Puig has been my vet for years. He was recommended by a client (I'm a pet sitter) who raved about the extraordinary care Dr P gave to his very sick dog. I had hoped I would never be in the same position my client had been in, with a sick dog, but when Sunny was 7yrs old Dr Puig found some masses in Sunnys chest. With the help of Dr P and Animal Cancer Care Center..Sunny was in remission!! He lived another..almost four years! This last week of Sunnys life..taken by kidney failure..I was back and forth to Dr P's office every other day. He and his staff were accommodating and caring. Dr. Puig is the most caring vet you will ever meet. He is a true animal lover. I had adopted a dog from an animal rescue that came through his office. He had performed numerous surgeries to help save her life. Once I had adopted her he still treated her as his own. I have been taking my Chihuahua/Min Pin mix to Dr. Puig for about 5 years now and I have absolutely no complaints. Dr. Puig has always been attentive and he really cares for his patients. My dog has a chronic back problem and he has patiently helped us manage her care and called in specialists when needed and we did not break the bank. He is an honest doctor that will not overcharge you and only has the best interest of your pets at heart. I love his staff as well they are just as caring and helpful as Dr. Puig. The vet was very attentive. i have gone to the hollywood animal hospital in the past and decided to change vets since i would make appts. and up wainting out in the waiting area for an hour- only to wait another hour in a private room to get everything done. Also the place wasnt very clean, its old and rundown and it stinks like a nursing home. So i heard from a technician (who did not work at the animal clinic) that it was very clean and the vet was good. It was very clean and the vet really took time listening to my concerns and checking out my dogs. he seemed to be sensitive and caring about them. it is nice to see someone treat your pets with some love and care-without being rushed. My dogs didnt even seem to feel their shots. it was a good experience......Pricing was average. A little bit less than Hollywood Animal Hospital. Read Less
