Dr. Melissa Adamson is AMAZING!! She is so caring and helped my stressed out kitty to relax on a medicine. We had to try some different things but the staff especially tech Tatiana - so caring in helping me find a solution. When he had an emergency blockage, they squeezed me in and Dr. Melissa saved him from kidney failure. She also really went above and beyond in care after hours eve on a holiday weekend. You can tell she really loves animals and took EXCELLENT care of my Dani cat. She is so gentle with him and really explains all the medical procedures and options and what she’s thinking about what we should do. I feel like I am involved with his care and that he’s in excellent care. So thankful to have Dr. Melissa as our vet! Read Less

The staff was really kind and helpful. However, the 3 times I took my dog in to ask about growths - ones he had since I adopted him, and ones developed since I adopted him the vet did nothing but feel them and said they were just cysts from itching. When I took him to another vet a year later (the growths had significantly increased in size since then) the vet I took him to aspirated the lumps and upon viewing them through a microscope informed me all the growths were CANCEROUS. They were all mast cell tumors; the pathologist later confirmed this. I'd be very cautious with the advice you receive from this vet office.Read Less

Wonderful staff and a wonderful environment to be in. I'm a first time dog owner and they answered all of my questions and listened to everything I had to say. I'm also a very forgetful person and I knew I was forgetting to ask some questions but they told me to call back whenever I remembered. I highly recommend Sunshine Animal Hospital. Dr. Moreno and his staff are the definition of animal lovers. I took my dog, Chance (pitbull) in for his first visit on Tuesday and right away we felt like we were part of the family. I really appreciated how Dr. Moreno took the time to get to know Chance and find out what his likes/dislikes are, etc. Chance especially loved Michelle (red head love) and her beautiful girl, Blueberry. If you own a pitbull, I'm sure you have received the same stare, comments and overall criticism of people who base their opinions on the pitbull breed by what they see on the news and not actual facts and/or experience. Everyone at Sunshine Animal Hospital was so knowledgeable about the breed and treated him as if he was part of the family. No judgement, just love. I was wanting to board my chihuahua for a few days while i left town on business. Fist of all the hours say open at 8:00 am but no one was there until 8:28. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! While I was now waiting to check my dog in, i heard the lady "Francine" was her name, speak rudely to her worker just about her making coffee. I also asked to check out the back where my baby will be staying, and she said they dont do that here, in a condescending tone. If i was not 30 minutes behind schedule to catch a flight at 10:00am, i would have tried to find another place to board my dog. Well i know i will never go there again. We used to go to another vet but when my 11 yrs old cat Princess was sick I decided to see Dr. Moreno on a suggestion from neighbors and friends. It turned up to be a good decision. Everyone's really nice and friendly. The waiting was a little long but it was definitely worth it because my Princess bounced right back a day after I saw Dr. Moreno. I heard that Sunshine Animal Hospital was under new management and wanted to give them a try. I came in with my dog Sam for shots. Their staff are very friendly and wonderful. Dr Moreno was very thorough in his exam and was very professional. Their office is clean and smells great! It's nice to walk in to an animal hospital and not actually smell the animals. There is new paint and wonderful artwork on the walls. They treated my pet as if it was their own and I loved that. I definitely recommend this place to take your furry loved ones. Read Less

I can't thank Sunshine Animal Hospital staff and Dr. Ember for the above excellent care that they gave to my almost dying Brandy. She was suffering from an allergic reaction and I rushed immediately to the office and they took her in right away and in less than a few minutes she was stable. We have two male cats and they got into a bit of a fighting match while we were gone. Apparently one of the cats got his ear bitten and the wound got infected by the time we noticed (he has dark hair and the infection began inside the ear). We took our cat to Sunshine Animal Hospital and the vet starts to say how serious the wound is, and how the cat will need to be sedated to get the wound cleaned. He gives us an estimate of $556.00. I found this RIDICULOUS... We showed the estimate to one of the other employees and the employee could not understand why the vet would need to sedate my cat in order to proceed with cleaning the wound. The doctor looked at my cat for 2 minutes, and still charged us 45 dollars for the visit... My fiancé took our cat elsewhere. For $40 dollars our cat's wound was cleaned and we received antibiotics for his infection. I don't doubt that the people at Sunshine Animal Hospital will do a great job. But they are treating their clients as if they are ignorant and taking advantage just to get more money... Read Less

Dr. Adamson is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable with animals, including ferrets. She cares greatly about the welfare of your pet and is sincere. Not just there to take your money as other veterinarians. Read Less
