The front desk staff is great. HOWEVER, I brought my sweet 1 year old boxer Odin in to Nob Hill Animal Clinic due to a growing diarrhea issue, we had tried all the dietary changes and then decided to have a veterinarian visit. Upon the vet visit blood work and a fecal exam was performed among a few other things. The veterinarian informed me that everything was normal and possibly we had a gastrointestinal bacteria issue, so a round of antibiotics was prescribed that I followed very strictly. Less than a day after the antibiotics regimen was complete we were back to square one and it was progressively worse but we understand medicine needs time to work fully so we kept a close eye on Odin and boiled him chicken and rice for food. We decided it was in Odins best interest to revisit the vet to figure out what the true issue was because it obviously was not addressed as Odin was now losing weight and becoming increasingly lethargic. Upon this vet visit we were recommended to do ANOTHER blood test and fecal exam to which I mentioned I had already paid almost 500.00 dollars two weeks ago to be assured nothing was truly wrong and they insisted that we do another AND pay FULL PRICE. To which I explained that wasn't right, that I would more than willing to do these tests again as well as x rays if they were willing to right their misfindings by cutting us some form of discount for these retests. I was informed that the owner and I quote "did NOT feel comfortable giving any sort of discount for the retesting" even though I was ASSURED that nothing was detected in the original test. As a business owner myself I understand mistakes happen but I ALWAYS right my wrongs by the customer and NEVER charge for something that I was neglectful of. This is horrible for a business to do to a client of multiple years, let alone an animal. I just want my baby to live and now I may be looking at putting Odin down at the young age of 1 year old due to the negligence of the veterinarian staff. I've never felt so taken advantage of by a business and the sheer lack of compassion for my puppy is sickening. I am now at another veterinarian to find the root of the issue to see whether Odin needs to be put down as he is literally starving to death because of whatever is going on and was over looked by this staff.

I chose this vet for emergency services for my dog, and it was a total failure. As per reviews, they are above 4, but dont let that fool you. They will find every excuse in the book to not see your pet if he barks at their staff. While I understand that we are in Covid times and there are rules, it was clear that they do not care if your dog lives or dies, as they only see dogs that wag their tails and roll-over. My dog could have been dying, and they gave a rats ass. It was also clear that their drama was about my dogs breed. They did not tell me that we cannot go in with the dog to the exam room, if so, I would have never go to their clinic.

I left my dog there for a grooming 9AM! 4PM my wife called asking for her and they said no one could do the service because the Groomer didn't come to work that day. NO ONE CALL US TO GET THE DOG! Even knowing that the service couldn't be done! They left my dog in a cage for 7 HOURS for nothing! We got her 4:15PM and she drank A LOT of water! Probably they left her without any water too! I never expected something like this from a place like that. Very cruel!

Don’t ever go here! These people are crooks! They lie and tell you that you need way more testing and medications that actually needed. I was quoted $45 on the phone and then in the room was quoted $171 and then when I left it was almost $300. I said I don’t have the money for this and instead of trying to work with me they were so incredibly rude. One of the meds was pepto Bismal!!! They could have told me that instead of taking advantage. They said... well if u go to the hospital you pay more than Walgreens. 😞 Don’t go here even if it’s with a Groupon Bc you will still pay a ridiculous amount.

I got a groupon to try this place out before I made any decision on changing Veterinarians. Despite of the fact that there were three women at the reception area check out took forever. They charged me extra for a small piece of paper that they call rabies certificate and did not give me a ravies tag. When i asked why were they charging me extra w.o a tag they said it was for the paper because i have to pay for processing for them to put the information in the computer and send it to the county. I Will not go back. Unprofessional front desk staff.

The "vet" told me that my cat had Saddle Back, a heart murmur AND thyroids before ANY tests were ran. I WILL NEVERRRR COME BACK. Not to mention the "Blood Work" would have costed me $861.

Treat you like family and price match. I am so glad for Nob Hill animal clinic. The staff is what makes the place so great (Dee the vet tech treats us like family and all the girls are great.) My 14 year old shih tzu, Ollie, had to be put down two years ago. They were amazing to us. They let me hold Ollie in my arms the entire time. Since she was 14, everyone knew her there. Dee cried with us and gave us a beautiful sympathy card with Ollie's paw prints.
Fast forward two years and we adopt a rescue dog, Olaf. Of course we went back to Nob Hill. Everyone was so kind to us, all talking about Ollie and how much they missed our family. Like I said, Dee and the girls treat us like family.
I am shocked and saddened to see so many bad reviews. I guess my only complaint is that the vet changes. However, for us- Dee is as knowledgeable as any vet and she makes it the reason why we go there. Not to mention, I never feel ripped off. She always gives us alternatives and if human medicine is cheaper (like a cough syrup our new dog had to take) she gives me the measuring instruments and tells me the dosage and where to buy it. How can you beat that? They also used to price match. (I am hoping they still do!). Whenever it was time to get medicine or even a visit if there was the same thing at a lower price (they matched it!)
I am very happy with the thorough visit they gave Olaf. Also they were extremely well priced. The place is immaculate and everyone is great. I highly recommend this vet's office to anybody- for the staff alone.

My dog had a tiny ball blocking his intestine, took him somewhere else and they save day they took it out... AND FOR LESS THAN WHAT THESE PEOPLE WANTED TO CHARGE TO PUT HIM TO SLEEP!!!!! These crooks made the problem worse.. Misdiagnosing him and charged me for giving him liquids (which made him vomit more) and medication for something he didn't have!!!!! SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE!!!! REFUSED TO EVEN PAY ME BACK FOR WHAT THEY DID!!!!

I got very lucky and a woman by the name of Ana was there to help me out, explained the error and she made sure that my dog was examined anyway, I would recommend this facility for the service, and for the personal assistance. The front desk staff is great. HOWEVER, I brought my sweet 1 year old boxer Odin in to Nob Hill Animal Clinic due to a growing diarrhea issue, we had tried all the dietary changes and then decided to have a veterinarian visit. I chose this vet for emergency services for my dog, and it was a total failure. As per reviews, they are above 4, but dont let that fool you. They will find every excuse in the book to not see your pet if he barks at their staff. Treat you like family and price match. I am so glad for Nob Hill animal clinic. The staff is what makes the place so great (Dee the vet tech treats us like family and all the girls are great.) My 14 year old shih tzu, Ollie, had to be put down two years ago. They were amazing to us. They let me hold Ollie in my arms the entire time. Since she was 14, everyone knew her there. Dee cried with us and gave us a beautiful sympathy card with Ollie's paw prints.
Fast forward two years and we adopt a rescue dog, Olaf. Of course we went back to Nob Hill. Everyone was so kind to us, all talking about Ollie and how much they missed our family. Like I said, Dee and the girls treat us like family.
I am shocked and saddened to see so many bad reviews. I guess my only complaint is that the vet changes. However, for us- Dee is as knowledgeable as any vet and she makes it the reason why we go there. Not to mention, I never feel ripped off. She always gives us alternatives and if human medicine is cheaper (like a cough syrup our new dog had to take) she gives me the measuring instruments and tells me the dosage and where to buy it. How can you beat that? They also used to price match. (I am hoping they still do!). Whenever it was time to get medicine or even a visit if there was the same thing at a lower price (they matched it!)
I am very happy with the thorough visit they gave Olaf. Also they were extremely well priced. The place is immaculate and everyone is great. I highly recommend this vet's office to anybody- for the staff alone.

Nice people, good service. first time visiting a Vet .... Andrea's customer service and knowledge is out of this world. Will come back again for sure.

Take your dog here if you want it to die! These people told me I should put my dog to sleep, that he had cancer! Thank God I didn't trust them and got a second opinion!!!! My dog had a tiny ball block...

My dog had a tiny ball blocking his intestine, took him somewhere else and they save day they took it out... AND FOR LESS THAN WHAT THESE PEOPLE WANTED TO CHARGE TO PUT HIM TO SLEEP!!!!! These crooks made the problem worse.. Misdiagnosing him and charged me for giving him liquids (which made him vomit more) and medication for something he didn't have!!!!! SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE!!!! REFUSED TO EVEN PAY ME BACK FOR WHAT THEY DID!!!!

I got very lucky and a woman by the name of Ana was there to help me out, explained the error and she made sure that my dog was examined anyway, I would recommend this facility for the service, and for the personal assistance. Ana was a great help and im very happy with their service.

If you are a nice and loyal customer they will treat you right. My dog loves the nurses there and my dog is afraid of baths but not the vet.
