The front desk staff is great. HOWEVER, I brought my sweet 1 year old boxer Odin in to Nob Hill Animal Clinic due to a growing diarrhea issue, we had tried all the dietary changes and then decided to have a veterinarian visit. Upon the vet visit blood work and a fecal exam was performed among a few other things. The veterinarian informed me that everything was normal and possibly we had a gastrointestinal bacteria issue, so a round of antibiotics was prescribed that I followed very strictly. Less than a day after the antibiotics regimen was complete we were back to square one and it was progressively worse but we understand medicine needs time to work fully so we kept a close eye on Odin and boiled him chicken and rice for food. We decided it was in Odins best interest to revisit the vet to figure out what the true issue was because it obviously was not addressed as Odin was now losing weight and becoming increasingly lethargic. Upon this vet visit we were recommended to do ANOTHER blood test and fecal exam to which I mentioned I had already paid almost 500.00 dollars two weeks ago to be assured nothing was truly wrong and they insisted that we do another AND pay FULL PRICE. To which I explained that wasn't right, that I would more than willing to do these tests again as well as x rays if they were willing to right their misfindings by cutting us some form of discount for these retests. I was informed that the owner and I quote "did NOT feel comfortable giving any sort of discount for the retesting" even though I was ASSURED that nothing was detected in the original test. As a business owner myself I understand mistakes happen but I ALWAYS right my wrongs by the customer and NEVER charge for something that I was neglectful of. This is horrible for a business to do to a client of multiple years, let alone an animal. I just want my baby to live and now I may be looking at putting Odin down at the young age of 1 year old due to the negligence of the veterinarian staff. I've never felt so taken advantage of by a business and the sheer lack of compassion for my puppy is sickening. I am now at another veterinarian to find the root of the issue to see whether Odin needs to be put down as he is literally starving to death because of whatever is going on and was over looked by this staff. I chose this vet for emergency services for my dog, and it was a total failure. As per reviews, they are above 4, but dont let that fool you. They will find every excuse in the book to not see your pet if he barks at their staff. While I understand that we are in Covid times and there are rules, it was clear that they do not care if your dog lives or dies, as they only see dogs that wag their tails and roll-over. My dog could have been dying, and they gave a rats ass. It was also clear that their drama was about my dogs breed. They did not tell me that we cannot go in with the dog to the exam room, if so, I would have never go to their clinic. Read Less

Everyone is nice, but every time I go there it takes an hour until someone finally comes in. But my main issue is the cost, they are quite expensive, especially when compared to others. Because of this extreme price difference I’ve decided to switch to another vet in the area. Read Less
