We’ve been bringing our dog there for 8 years and have always had a great experience. Now that we have an additional rescue we will continue bringing them here. The staff and the the Dr. are excellent and we’re willing to make the 40min drive there. Read Less

I like the small atmosphere. Our previous out of state vet experience was a large clinic with 7-8 vets. They would usually misplace our records, etc. I think we received excellent care and were alerted to a serious heart problem with our cat. Read Less

The absolute best animal care that I could even dream of receiving. Dr. Gessner never gave up on my old, sick cat, and was so flexible, compassionate, and caring until the end. My experience there was completely satisfied, the staff was very kind to my Belgian shepherd, she was well taken care of not only was the doctor totally professional but had a sense of humor end very cute too. !! I highly recommend Lyons Road Animal Hospital for all your pets needs Read Less

They are SO BAD AND DISORGANIZED! Its almost embarrassing, i did like the vet, however my dog still passed away and i felt overcharged and abused. There wasn't a visit that was less than 200. Just seeing the vet is like 50 and they have the fancy name for it of "exam". I tried to give them a second chance because its convenient, over the phone the girl is clueless: gave me puppy info then put me on hold and forgot. then an old man said hello and sounded like he didn't know how to use the phone. Then on hold AGAIN, and i got a guy that was aggressive and rude, to give me COMPLETE DIFFERENT info than the first person i talked to, all in one call. THEY DO NOT HAVE VACCINE PACKAGES OR DEALS, whether you are a loyal costumer or new customer. It is expensive, overpriced and even with appointment you end up waiting for almost and hour. I WILL BE taking my 2 dogs and my business somewhere profesional. Read Less

Dr. Gessner has saved our Italian Greyhound, Max's, life at least three times now. Max is prone to getting in situations were he injures himself so bad because he is almost 17 yrs old, deaf and blind. She is an amazing vet because she gives clear, honest advice. She really does her best to care for our dog within what we feel comfortable doing. I can not believe she has saved my dog's leg from this last injury, but he almost completely healed again. She really went above and beyond when we went to her in an emergency. Much better care than we have had at Calusa in Boca. Read Less

We Love Dr. Sara!!!!!! What an Awesome and Very Compassionate human being. It is such a great thing to take your pet in to see the doctor, and they remember them. It is funny.....I think my 6 month old border collie remembers her too. Dr, Sara and all the staff are very friendly and attentive to pets....I have been to the "Big Chain" Pet store Vets and have to say I feel much more comfortable bringing my best friend to this place. Dr. Sarah and her staff are really awesome. My cat was continuously sneezing and I needed a vet that was close by. I was in and out within 25 minutes with medication that helped my cat to get better within a week. Though no vet bills are truly affordable, my bill really was a lot less expensive than other animal hospitals I have been to. I highly recommend Lyons Road Animal Hospital! Read Less

Dr. Sara Gessner and her staff are fantastic. I have been going to her for many years and will not change. If she doesn't know the answer she will consult with others and find a treatment. Even if the diagnosis is not good, she will do everything to make sure the dog is comfortable for the remainder of his/her life. Some of my dogs have had unique problems, yet she was able to figure it out and they were able to live good lives until their time. She always explains everything to me so I will understand what needs to be done. One of my new adoptees was from a horrible puppy mill and he came to us with heartworm and he is blind. During the heartworm treatments, she sat with him because she felt so bad giving the treatment. He is now doing great.Read Less

We brought in 1 of our cats yesterday as we were concerned about his ravenous appetite and insatiable thirst. Not only was the staff courteous and waiting for us, the bill was reasonable. I am so glad I found Dr. Gessner! My pomeranian was having bladder problems and my previous vet was over-medicating him. Nothing they were doing was helping him and I felt horrible since I knew he was suffering. Dr. Gessner has done her best to make him comfortable and get a handle on his problem.
