Dr. Hill has been my animals’ vet for more than 25 years. I trust him completely. Recently, Dr. Darnell went above and beyond for my cat Josey. It was a Friday afternoon after 6 PM (their closing time). I was traveling and my pet sitter sent me a photo of Josey that signaled something was wrong. I called their office and, even though it was after hours, the answering service was quick to act and Dr. Darnell called me immediately. I texted her the photo and she gave me appropriate next steps. She saw and treated my pet the next morning, and they called me with the status. Josey recovered well because of their quick diagnosis and conscientious care, even in my absence. There were no delays or missteps—only caring and competent professionalism. What more could one ask for? Thank you, doctors and staff of PV Animal Hospital!! My experience here was relatively short but I wouldn't call it sweet. I recently adopted a 10 month old lab from a family that had already been taking her here. It's a bit of a drive for me but I wanted to give this place a chance since they seemed to like it. I would say the other customers waiting were more friendly than the receptionists, save for one sweet girl cleaning windows and petting the pups while they waited. Having never been there before and being a new dog owner, I thought they would be a little more helpful about her records and bringing me up to speed on what she needs. Rather they seemed busy and annoyed to be talking to me. I found it very strange when they took my dog in the back and didn't let me go with her. It was clear she didn't want to go back without me and they still made me wait in the lobby. Hopefully they did what they were supposed to or else I just gave them $60 for nothing. I mentioned a scratch on her leg and they said they would look at it but then said nothing about it when they brought her back out like they forgot. Also the previous owner said the vet will cut her nails for free and they didn't. Overall it was confusing and I left questioning what exactly I just paid for. Safe to say I won't be back. Read Less

We have been using PVAH since we moved to Florida. Dr. Darnell is our primary doctor for our two spoiled rotten kitties and we couldn't be happier with the care that they receive each and every visit. We have seen other doctors in her absence and they are ALL just the most caring doctors we have ever met. The entire staff is amazing and compassionate. PVAH has been amazing to our family and the rescue work that we are a part of. We rescue dogs from the island of Nevis in the Caribbean. Every trip down, they send medications and needed supplies with us and then when we return they help place puppies and treat injuries. I learned she was allergic to fleas and the vet tech was amazing with her and so sweet and Dr Hill knew exactly what was wrong with her. Thank you thank you-- I had an emergency on a Friday at 6pm and your staff put everything aside, dropped purse, folders to hold my sweet max who got run over by a car. They brought him back to life and sustainable enough for me to take him to the ER. He had a broken shoulder but no organ damage. Thank you for putting Max first. The staff at PV Animal Hospital is great. I started taking my dog here when she was first a puppy because it is literally right around the corner for me.They are always dolls when I have to board her and take really good care of her. I don't know how they compare in price to the other boarding options in the area. However, there isn't many, and the convenience is worth any extra price to me. Read Less
