I went for the first time today and had a very nice experience but my dog was acting up when I was paying and I didn't ask to see the charges peior to them running my card. I paid over $300 for an exam, bordetella and flu vaccine, fecal exam and 6 month supply of Heartgard and NexGard. When I looked at the receipt they charged me $65 for Heartgard. It is only $38 on Chewy and NexGard $136!!! $30 more than ANYWHERE else!!! These items are not returnable. I will never purchase items from them again!!! Read Less

I have used this clinic for many years.  The vets and staff are top notch. The office staff does an excellent job in a very busy clinic.  Phones ringing, customers coming in and closing out.  I was offered coffee/cookies while I waited. They try very hard to accommodate a pet that needs immediate attention.  I have found the office staff to be friendly and go out of their way for the animals and anyone visiting the clinic.  I have never waited long for my animals to be seen.     I thank you for providing exceptional service. I've taken my two pups here for the last year and half. While Dr. Caroline is great, the staff sucks. Every time I come in I feel like I am somehow burdening them by being there. I recently moved to the area. I have a new puppy and a two year old. I did not want to change vets at all but I brought the new puppy to this clinic and it was a very positive, thorough experience . Haven’t got to come in yet, but I’ve never been so excited to bring my cat for a checkup. Called to ask some questions because I was looking to switch vets, I had someone stay on the phone with me for 15 minutes explaining everything that would be done. I even called back today because the other vet gave him a shot and didn’t explain the side effects so I wanted to call and ask what to look out for, she offered me an appointment 30 minutes from the time of the call, and I told me to call back and let her know how he’s doing because I can’t mske it right now Read Less

I am new to the area. I have three dogs, a cat, and a parrot. I called Bayonet Point Animal Hospital for a last-minute appointment on a nail trimming. The woman on the phone took her time and was super friendly. Got me in the next morning. Upon arrival, Buster, the cat, met us in the lobby. What a love bug! The woman at the counter, was very welcoming, and friendly. After Wilber's nail trimming was complete, the doctor came out and met me. Spent a few minutes getting to know me. It was a beautiful experience overall. The establishment was very clean. I feel we are safe knowing we are in a new part of Florida, and I have a great Vet to look after my family.Read Less

I have taken my dogs to this vet quite a few times. Each time with quite a few dogs and puppies. While Dr. Caroline is wonderful, the staff is not. I was given a quote over the phone for the services my pups required. After being told the price to expect, I reviewed all the services with the young lady over the phone to make certain the quote was correct. After my puppies were seen by the veterinarian, I was told the price would be almost three times higher than what I was quoted! The price changed rom $78 to $216 for the exact same services I was quoted over the phone. As a long time customer, I would expect an apology at the very least! A business with good customer service would shave even a small portion off the inflated price to make a loyal customer feel valued. They did none of the above. They've lost me as a customer. I did think that it would only be emails concerning my pet, soon after I was bombarded with JUNK mail . so I'm sure they sold my address to a or multiply mailing list , not only that but after the visit when i didn't want to schedule another visit, I practically had to pull my card out of the cashiers hand, i still receive birthday greeting, for a pet that passed over 2 years ago and i sent them notification after the first one ..........just looking to make a buck !!!!!!!! The vets and staff of the Bayonet Point Animal Clinic are top notch.  They gave wonderful care for my dogs.  My last dog recently died (Aimee was 13 and was in ill health for a while) and I received a card from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine acknowledging the gift made in her memory by the Bayonet Point Animal Clinic.   They also did this when other my dog, Samantha, died at 18 years of age.  I was very touched by this gesture and it demonstrates the attitude toward the animals being treated in this facility.  I can not recommend them highly enough. Sorry to say but high priced, $ 750.00 dollars later my cat Buddy was still losing weight eating and drinking less. Tests done still do not know what is wrong and now in heaven. Oh but I do have paper work of the things that all came back test wise as good. For more money Yes more tests could of been done, but at what cost. I am a veterinarian in California. My mother recently switched to Bayonet Point Animal Clinic after she was treated poorly at another clinic. I helped her research the best vet for her 2 cats. Not only is this a certified AAFP Cat Friendly Practice (something I aim to accomplish) but they are true to the standard. Her 1 cat is fearful of vets but Dr. Carolyn has such a gentle approach to him and he is slowly becoming more trusting. I recently took my dog in there cause I wasn't happy with my old vet, Bayonet was a super friendly first encounter. Both vet tech, and vet spent time on the floor just loving on my dog, made him and me feel very good about the experience. Doctor Carolyn and the entire staff were AMAZING!!!!! I have always hated veterinary clinics almost as much as my pets have but this place was great. The staff we so welcoming and sweet. They made me and my little Lulu feel comfortable and they just fell in love with her. They even took the liberty of printing out a picture that they took of her for us to bring home! Such wonderful people that you can tell love their job. Prices were great too! Had a check up, a few tests done, and some antibiotics all without breaking the bank. Dr. Hase and Staff, I would like to Thank Dr. Hase and his staff for the many years they have taken care of my Cat Casey and has lived to the age of 20 years old . The wonderful treatment he was given and the compassion in which was expressed by all over the years. Casey recently had to be put to sleep due to a medical problem that would have given him a poor quality of life. I took my dear cat Oscar in for a urinary blockage. The first time they relieved it, medicated him and sent him home with meds. There was a second occurrence on Thanksgiving and I could not get him in until the next morning because they were closed. He was catheterized, medicated and sent home with meds. In terrible shape, he lingered through the night and died the next morning. I guess the toxins had fatally gotten into his system since such trouble is usually fatal within 24 hours. My fault, I guess, for not having enough money to get him into an ER. A month later, when I had enough composure to try to post some photos of Oscar on their Pet Portals webpage, I found he had been deleted as if he never existed. No record of previous visits, doctors, medications or anything. His name could not even be found to allow me to post the photos. I called and they said they automatically delete a deceased animal. This is not acceptable. How impersonal and uncaring. Do they want to hide something when an animal in their care dies? I don't know,. I just find it appalling that they could delete Oscar like throwing out yesterday's trash. I cannot recommend this practice because they do not seem genuinely caring. They are also quite pricey. I am losing faith in vets very quickly. They all seem to just want to take the money and run. Read Less

We have used several different vets while in Hudson, FL for the winters (we're from Canada).  This clinic is absolutely the very best we've found. Dr. Hase is amazing. He really understands animals and helped our dog so much. He knew exactly what was wrong with her and solved the problems with just the right medication. He then followed up with a phone call every day for the next few days to make sure she had recovered. The whole experience was quite wonderful. We were expecting to be told she needed to be put down (she's quite old), but it was just a bad infection and Dr Hase had it under control in no time. I transferred to this location when Dr. Hodge consolidated her practice over here. I take my chihuahua for wellness exams and had him neutered (at the old location)--their fees were above the usual and customary, but Dr. Hodge does pre-surgery blood work and maintains 'human' level monitoring and IV throughout surgery, so I thought it was a few dollars extra well-spent to get very high quality care and peace of mind for the well-being of my little best friend. Only complaint I had with the new location was that they seemed understaffed when I stopped by to pick up a heart worm chew, but later learned one of the techs was out ill. In general, they match the genuine affection and concern for the animals that I found at the old location. Be sure to ask for directions if you're coming west on Hwy. 52. You have to hang a left on Zimmerman, then right on Cynthia for a short block to get to Oak Trail Way. Read Less

Terrible! I would not reccomend anyone to this office! I went for one exam and problem and I will never go back! There was virtually no history and physical taken. They did not listen to his chest (hear and lungs) they did not look at his eyes, ears, gums! They did not ask what food he eats or if there have been any changes in his bowels or other functions. They did not pet him or talk to or about him. They did a test and told me they would call with the results. They left a message at my home to call for the results. I called at 8:32 am, 12 noon, 5pm and 7pm. I waited until 10 am the next day and drove to the office to pick up my results and go to another much more thorough and caring vet. The lack of phsyical examine is bad practice and comes accross as bad bedside manner for a Dr. Shame on you! Read Less
