Welcome...Sandpiper Animal Hospital opened December 12, 2011. We are a general practice veterinarian. Dr. Richard Strauss, DVM has been practicing veterinary medicine in Port Saint Lucie, Fl since 1986. We offer surgery, vaccinations, sick and well physicals, laboratory testing, pre-surgical screenings, boarding, bathing, heartworm prevention medication, flea/tick control medication, supplies and we carry Science Diet food and treats. We look forward to assisting you in your pets needs. We accept Visa, M/C, Amex, Checks, Cash and Care Credit.

Even with my horrible experience of having to say goodbye to my dog, Sandpiper was an excellent vet. The service was fast, easy and affordable. Good bye buddy.

A very honest and knowledgeable vet. My dog had mange and the vet gave me a very inexpensive alternative to the toxic treatments. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes and they have Saturday...

my dog Tiny had a terrible ear infection . We were pretty sure she was going to need surgery . But today' after eight months of treatment Tiny got a clean bill of health! No ear infection no surger...

Awesome place... my cat started having seizures and I didnt know if hed make it but dr strauss and his receptionist made him all better and even called to check up on him several times...thank you dr ...
