Dr. Dan Bowen is an incredibly bright and compassionate vet. We moved to Punta Gorda 2 years ago and have tried several veterinarians in the area. Dr. Dan Bowen is by far our favorite. He has a degree in Pharmacology as well as his Veterinarian degree and is very proactive in treating our animals. His clinic has much of the equipment right in house for diagnostics, like an ultrasound which many clinics don't have available. They keep regular office hours but will work you in, in the event you have an emergent problem. He is very caring and loving and compassionate.

Absolutely the best veternary practice I have ever experienced, in over 40 years of pet ownership. Dr. Bowen is tremendously caring and skilled; his staff are also wonderful with the animals. He has taken excellent and compassionate care of our aging kitty with multiple health problems. I wouldn't take a pet to anyone else.

When my malteses (3.5lbs and 5.5lbs) and I enter the building we are always welcomed with smiles and pleasant conversations from the girls up front..... Then there is Dr. Bowen! He is so gentle, sweet, knowledgeable, understanding, listens and is reachable! He always listens to what I have to say and answers my concerns regardless of it being at an appointment or over the phone! You also cannot beat their gentle dentals!!! With how delicate my girls are....... I always feel at peace with their care at the Animal Hospital! I highly recommend them!!!

The young girl whom works there I believe as an assistant to the Dr. - (sorry not sure of her exact title or name) is always greeting me kindly, friendly, efficient, thorough with exams and testing and highly trained in all areas of concerns and the overall well being of our dog. I have taken my five cats and three dogs to Dr. Bowen since he first took over this practice and I find him and his staff to be AWESOME! All of the staff members are always friendly and helpful and will make sure they get your pet in to see the doctor as soon as possible! Every time I have ever called with any sort of issue they have always given me a same day appointment to have my pet seen by the doctor. Dr. Bowen is a wonderful doctor and it is very obvious that he loves animals by the way he greets them. As soon as he walks in the exam room he spends a few minutes just being friendly and putting your pet at ease. Dr. Bowen is very easy to talk to and he will take as much time with you and your pet as you need which is certainly not the case with many doctors. I appreciate being able to talk to the doctor about my pet and to ask any questions I may have without feeling rushed! I would recommend Animal Medical Clinic to anyone who is looking for a wonderful caring veterinarian practice!

Awesome Vet practice! I have been with them for almost 20 years now & they have taken care of all my animals. I moved from one end of the county to the other end, tried another vet which was closer to my new home & ended up bringing them back. Having to travel to the other end of the county can be an inconvenience at times but it is worth it to know that my kids are getting the best care. My dogs actually enjoy going there & love all the staff because they are treated as if they were one of their own!

They saved my cat's life, period. Why is it that emergencies always seem to happen on a w/e? My 12yr. old Siamese wouldn't eat or drink and was obviously losing ground quickly. We are newer to PGFL. Somehow waded thru all the reviews of other local vets, & with just minutes before most of them would be closed, I got an appt.; Beau was seen quickly. Dr. 'Van' and assts. were low key and respectful of my boy. Not a lot of handling and flipping around and prodding. He has a hx of G.I. probs. Was most worried that he was dehydrated. They gave him subcut. fluids and sent me home with the same, to get us thru the w/e. This did the trick. Did offer alternative treatments and suggestions; did not insist on running a bunch of labs. They LISTENED to us. The bill was more than reasonable. They are our vet in PGFL now. I recommend them highly!

This clinic is the best. They give very thorough and thoughtful care. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I had a cat who was very afraid of the vet and would hiss and try to bite. I could not find a vet who would give a good exam because of that. Dr. Bowen jumped right in and handled her.

I cannot sing enough accolades about Dr. Bowen and his staff! When my malteses (3.5lbs and 5.5lbs) and I enter the building we are always welcomed with smiles and pleasant conversations from the girls up front..... Then there is Dr. Bowen! He is so gentle, sweet, knowledgeable, understanding, listens and is reachable! He always listens to what I have to say and answers my concerns regardless of it being at an appointment or over the phone! You also cannot beat their gentle dentals!!! With how delicate my girls are....... I always feel at peace with their care at the Animal Hospital! I highly recommend them!!!

We have used your clinic to treat our family pomeranian mutliple times for several different reasons. The young girl whom works there I believe as an assistant to the Dr. - (sorry not sure of her exact title or name) is always greeting me kindly, friendly, efficient, thorough with exams and testing and highly trained in all areas of concerns and the overall well being of our dog. You can tell she loves her job and wanted to commend her on what a great job she does each and every time we visit. Thank you for hard work and great personality!!

I have taken my five cats and three dogs to Dr. Bowen since he first took over this practice and I find him and his staff to be AWESOME! All of the staff members are always friendly and helpful and will make sure they get your pet in to see the doctor as soon as possible! Every time I have ever called with any sort of issue they have always given me a same day appointment to have my pet seen by the doctor. Dr. Bowen is a wonderful doctor and it is very obvious that he loves animals by the way he greets them. As soon as he walks in the exam room he spends a few minutes just being friendly and putting your pet at ease. Dr. Bowen is very easy to talk to and he will take as much time with you and your pet as you need which is certainly not the case with many doctors. I appreciate being able to talk to the doctor about my pet and to ask any questions I may have without feeling rushed! I would recommend Animal Medical Clinic to anyone who is looking for a wonderful caring veterinarian practice!

He is a very professional, compassionate and caring doctor who has brought much experience and expertise to Punta Gorda. Like Dr. Bowen, his support staff, Susan Sealing, Cherie Perez and Angela are professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Awesome Vet practice! I have been with them for almost 20 years now & they have taken care of all my animals. I moved from one end of the county to the other end, tried another vet which was closer to my new home & ended up bringing them back. Having to travel to the other end of the county can be an inconvenience at times but it is worth it to know that my kids are getting the best care. My dogs actually enjoy going there & love all the staff because they are treated as if they were one of their own!

You guys are awesome!!! After being told by another place that Steeler needed to be sedated just to cut his nails I brought him here and they were amazing with him. He didn't need to be sedated and he actually started to like it there. The staff is so great and patient. If we weren't moving next week this would definitely be his permanent vet. Thank You again!!

They saved my cat's life, period. Why is it that emergencies always seem to happen on a w/e? My 12yr. old Siamese wouldn't eat or drink and was obviously losing ground quickly. We are newer to PGFL. Somehow waded thru all the reviews of other local vets, & with just minutes before most of them would be closed, I got an appt.; Beau was seen quickly. Dr. 'Van' and assts. were low key and respectful of my boy. Not a lot of handling and flipping around and prodding. He has a hx of G.I. probs. Was most worried that he was dehydrated. They gave him subcut. fluids and sent me home with the same, to get us thru the w/e. This did the trick. Did offer alternative treatments and suggestions; did not insist on running a bunch of labs. They LISTENED to us. The bill was more than reasonable. They are our vet in PGFL now. I recommend them highly!

Dr. Bowen is very caring, knowledgable and gentle. Our 14 year old kitty is comfortable with him and his staff. We're so glad he is in Punta! Color us happy!
