I started going here after relocating to Royal Palm Beach, and although I liked the vet (Dr. Bucki) that my dog saw, I am overall dissatisfied with the entire hospital. The second time I came in, I needed to have my dog neutered (with a procedure called a "scrotal ablasion") and got two written estimates: one for $430 and another for $460. I waited in the car the following day while my boyfriend brought the dog inside, and when he came back out to the car, stated that the price had gone up to $800+ dollars despite the fact that we had both estimates on hand. When I went in, livid, I was told that they had a "new office manager" that had messed up on our written estimates, and it would be in fact over $900+ despite it being THEIR error. And that they had already given our dogs medicine to put him out for surgery. When I advised that what they were doing is in fact illegal, they dropped the price to just around $700 (which we paid, but shouldn't have). He has a life-long disorder that he takes steroids for, which they are very reluctant on refilling unless he has check-ups every couple of months. In my opinion, this place is a scam. Read Less

Dr. Martain saved our litttle 2Yr old Tudy's Life this past weekend. She needed emergency surgery and had her ovaries and uterus removed... They were so infected from a cyst leaking that she became gravely ill...one more day she would have died.. This is our second dog's life within 2 months that these Dr.'s saved...The first was our 12 yr old Riley Girl...she had a large Tumor in her spleen that needed to come out right away...Dr. Dugall performed that surgery with ease!! I can't say enough great things about Community Animal Hospital in Royal Palm Beach, FL. Not only are the Veterinarians top notch, but the entire group of professionals that Community employs are Grade A. The staff at Community cares about my pets and go out of their way to ensure they have given them the best care possible. The Veterinarians are incredibly knowledgeable and always accessible to answer my questions in a timely manner. The staff has taken the time to get to know my family and my pets - and it's more like seeing old friends when we go to the office versus being "at the vet" for an appointment. December 1, 2016 - Update!! If only Google offered a TEN star rating!! I was away for a week over Thanksgiving and my cat stayed at Community Animal Hospital - and obviously was not homesick as when I went to get him he jumped in my arms - said hello - then immediately jumped out and went to say HI to the front desk staff!! :-) He never has a problem going to visit - in fact I take him every time I just go to buy food and he waltzes in like he owns the joint! This speaks louder than anything else. While I was away they updated me on email and text and sent pictures so I knew he was doing well. He has a chronic stomach condition which they were able to monitor while I was away and were able to treat so he did not get worse. The staff are EXCEPTIONAL and friendly, they are caring and compassionate and really care for the 4-legged members of the family! I was called 2 days after I returned to make sure my cat was OK, they always follow up to ensure the treatments work - very comforting. It is obvious that the work atmosphere here is a very comfortable one - and I know that always comes from the top - Kudos to Dr. Dugal and the Office Manager Lauren for caring for the practice and the staff - I love hearing the girls laughing, it means they are happy to be there! If you are concerned about prices - check around!! I have been to the vet office attached to the Pet Store - paid much more, had lesser treatment and was seen by a vet who was just filling in - IF you are concerned about your PET then find a practice that is staffed by full-time vets, who keep records and listen to the owner! This is not a pet shop vet but a professional practice - and worth every penny for the peace of mind -- and BTW the prices are absolutely on the mark for our area! I went to them because of the reviews what I didn't realize is how much baiting and switching they do in their pricing. I paid for one of their great package deals actually the best one they offered which covered the follow-up flu shot as did my mother. When I went in to have my dog done the veterinarian looked at my mother's dogs fur to see if the two weeks of medication that they prescribed her had done anything well it had not as we knew it wouldn't it's been an issue before and when my mother told them what was prescribed before they prescribed something else and then charged her when she came back to get more of the prescription of medication. When I returned for my free follow-up shot for flu I was getting ready to leave and she said that I had not paid for it I had previously paid $333 for what they did the first time the package was $211 they had no record of this so they wanted to charge me another $36. The staff is Pleasant but it seems to be a bottomless pit that you throw money into. Had High Hopes but very disappointed. Read Less

I did a quick Google search for veterinarians in my area and found Community Animal Hospital and because they had so many great ratings I called them first. I spoke with Tina and she said I can come in right away. When I arrived they brought me back and Dr. Eric Bucki did a thorough exam. His calm nature and reassuring attitude made me feel reassured. This place was amazing. I had never been there before yet they saw my cat on a Sunday when I called one hour before they closed. I thought my cat needed to be euthanized but they did a few things to stabilize him until my regular vet opened on Monday. Very clean, professional, kind, thorough and spent a lot of time with me even though they were closing. Did not charge me through the roof. Regular prices on. Sunday. I highly recommend! Read Less

In a nutshell: Quality, caring, competent veterinary services. I have been going to Community Animal Hospital for over 10 years! I took my lab mix Kuki (Cookie) about 10 years ago shortly after the loss of my father due to cancer. Kuki had developed a mass and I thought to myself great, first my dad and now my dog. After performing the biopsy, the results confirmed my worst nightmare: my four legged daughter had a malignant mass. Dr. Bucki was compassionate and caring. He operated on her removing the mass. Thankfully he caught it on time and Kuki has never had an issue since. Call it a miracle or call it great care on behalf of the doctor and/or both, I have enjoyed the company of my best friend Kuki to this day! Now she is an old lady, at the age of 13, but she is 100% well! I owe that thanks to Dr. Bucki and his staff at Community Animal Hospital. Read Less

Every staff member at Community Animal Hospital treats my pets as if they were their own. The Dr's are highly qualified, compassionate and go above and beyond to help my animals. Community Animal Hospital has been the most awesome experience for me, a first time dog owner. I have 28 lb. Goldendoodle who loves to come because he gets to see everybody there. Sometimes I bring him just when we need to get his special diet food and he loves it! Anytime he has been sick or yucky feeling the docs and staff at CAH have calmed my concerns and brought him back to tiptop shape. They treat my animal like he is their personal dog and have taught me a lot about dog ownership in the process.
