Per the other reviews, Dr Hooks is no longer the veterinarian at this business. Dr. Maddox (a female) is the presiding vet. The Asian woman (w/ the wonderful British accent) who mans the phones as well as the front desk is very sweet & friendly. It's apparent all the staff members love the animals in their care. No one was pushy about vaccines & treatments, but smart recommendations were made. Prices are reasonable. The lobby area is large & comfortable (see pics), at times there are animals up for adoptions (see pic), & parking is abundant. The location on Hwy 52 allows for easy entrance & exit. I withheld one star due to office hours, which are limited for those of us who work standard 8:00 - 5:00 type jobs, especially if we must travel a considerable distance to this business. A late night each week & a Saturday (or even a rotating Saturday) would be appreciated; my former vet in another county did this to accommodate pet owners.

We are new to the area, but have found this to be a good Veterinary hospital. Dr Mattox and her staff are very competent and show compassion for the pets treated. The prices charged appear to be comparable to other veterinary clinics. We have been quite pleased with their responsiveness to questions posed over the telephone.

Even down to them just calling a few days later to check up on him was so meaningful and makes me so happy to have found such a great and trustworthy place to take my doggies!

Dr. Mattox and SAAH staff are the best of the best! They maintain high quality care and always make you and your pet feel comfortable and important. They always follow up to insure no complications have developed post procedures. They strive for successful outcomes and satisfied customers. The routine exams are thorough and have proven valuable in early detection. We have been with Dr. Mattox and staff for many years and look forward to many more. And, our dog Zak actually loves to go there!!!

What a beautiful office!!! We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. After a short wait, we met Jordan,a vet tech with a big smile (considering it was late Friday afternoon). Dr. Riley performed a thorough exam of our cat and took the time to answer our questions. I would recommend this animal hospital.

We have two large dogs, one who was adopted through San Ann Animal Hospital; throughout the adoption process, it was clear the office has a genuine care for ALL animals. We always get outstanding service and would recommend this vet for anyone.

You will not find a more caring vet, for both the pets and the parents. I like to think I am a 'special' client, but I am sure she makes everyone feel that way.

We have been visiting the San Antonio Florida area and our 14 year peke has had some respiratory issues. The whole staff at the San Antonio Animal Hospital have been so helpful and kind. If you would meet our Frasier, you would know what a handful he can be. Dr Diana Mattox was so very thorough and took time to talk to me and even show us Frasier's X-Rays. Thankful Frasier has nothing life threatening. If I lived in this area full time this Vet would be the one for us. Also the facility is immaculate.

I've been going to this place for years. I will drive over an hour just to see Dr.Hooks and her staff. Such an amazing place. So often you find yourself at the vet and they suggest things and make you think you NEED to spend the money on your pets...this place tells you like it is. They don't make you do something, guilt you, or anything. They suggest things and tell you sincerely how important it is. They care about the animals first then they worry about money. Not the other way around. I really cannot say enough good things about this place. I love them, and they love all 4 of my kitties.

Very good service for the neighborhood vet. Competitive prices. The vets really care about your pet and strive to improve or maintain the quality of life for the animal. The staff assistants are very caring and hard working individuals, also. The business has good hours and seems to be continously updating procedures to be more efficient and service oriented. Very cleaning building and well organized. They care for dogs and cats only. No other animals. They encourage responsible pet care.

Per the other reviews, Dr Hooks is no longer the veterinarian at this business. Dr. Maddox (a female) is the presiding vet. The Asian woman (w/ the wonderful British accent) who mans the phones as well as the front desk is very sweet & friendly. It's apparent all the staff members love the animals in their care.
