Dr.Wayne is simply the best! The staff here treats me like family. They go way beyond what would be considered their "job" Dr. Wayne calls and speaks with you personally if you have questions....its just a great place. Read Less

At first they come off very nice. but if you do not do exactly as they say or want they will treat you very badly. And they will dismiss your animal like they never gave two Hoots about it. And then they will raise their fee. And tell you that prices went up from what they was just a previous week. I would not recommend taking your pet to this vet the technicians are very bad. Horrible service, charged me first couple weeks of my dog wrap $40, then one day I come in I get charged 60$ for it. I asked why the difference of the cost, the lady responded, “oh we raised our prices.” I asked when did that happen, she responded, “oh girl idk when.” I get asked before I leave if I would like to have her wrapped since I decided to take her home, I said sure, even paid the full price, waited 20min, but then brought her out without it even done, when I asked the red head there why, her response was, “she’s getting to difficult.” Read Less

Scheduled tooth extraction for my dog, on first phone call I was told my dog is waking up from surgery, 2 hours later I called and was told she has not been in surgery yet, 1 hour later I get a call from the vet that she will get to my dog later today. Mind you, my poor dog has not eaten since 10 pm last night, not a drink of water either to be surgery ready. At 5:30 pm I called again since I haven't heard back and I was told my dog will have a surgery the next day! I went and picked my baby and she almost peed her pants walking out. I feel and again might be my personal opinion that my dog has not been looked after properly. I guess I will never know but NOT HAPPY doesn't even describe how I feel about this place. I love this vet so much, it's probably the biggest reason to never move far from Sanford.  They care about my dog so much, they are so kind and genuine and their prices are VERY fair.  Best vet I've ever been to. Read Less

Our bischon had skin allergies. We called on a Saturday and they were able to get him in the same day. They gave him a vaccine that was very reasonable and he got immediate relief. I was very impressed at how caring they were. Mike said he works with shelter animals. Will definitely go back there. Read Less

Very helpful and good location! Thanks so much Murphy Vet Clinic! My dog had a surprise loose tooth this morning. They fit us in no problem when my primary vet couldn't and handled the situation quickly and superbly. Kind staff, incredibly reasonable pricing. They seemed pretty busy when I got there so I was really glad we were able to make the appointment. Now my little doggie is doing so well! On 7/31/14, after just moving to FL my Shi Tzu got hit by a van. We didn't have a car,so a wonderful woman drove us to her vet (Murphy's). I ran in crying with my little dog in my arms and they ran us right back to a room. The dr checked him then did x rays. Because of his age they couldn't do surgery. They kept him there, let me come visit him for the 5 days and then I took him home. The cost was very reasonable and the care was exceptional. My dog would not be alive today if not for dr Wayne and her wonderful staff. Read Less

My puppy broke his leg after falling off the couch, I took it to a nearby vet where they charged me a ridiculous amount just for X-rays and had to wait hours just for that and told me he just needed a cast, all of that would've cost me close to $5,000 (I had to pay $500 just for the X-rays there unfortunately), I decided to take my puppy from there and immediately go to Murphy's all the way from Orlando. The staff loved my puppy, diagnosed my puppy correctly (he needed a plate instead of a cast) performed the surgery almost immediately and took care of him during rehab for about two months, including baths, food, toys and toiletry. All of this for under $1,000! As college student, I really appreciate this and have been going to Murphy's ever since. Read Less

They told mom the dog's liver was premature and they couldn't do the surgery - on 3 separate occasions - after blood work and an office visit fee each time. They told her they would bring in a board-certified surgeon to do the surgery - more $$$$. But then they noticed the dog had an enlarged heart so she would need a $400 echocardiogram before the surgery. Mom took her dog to a new vet and what do you know - she is perfectly healthy. To top it off, office staff was rude when mom asked for her dog's records. So glad she is not going there anymore! Read Less

After searching for a vet that could treat my dog's heartworms I stumbled upon Murphy vet. Many other offices said the treatment would cost thousands & involve dangerous injections that would require the dog to have very limited mobility for weeks. Murphy vet offered a treatment for around $200 (if I remember correctly). With monthly heartworm meds they said she should be clear in a years time. Just got tested at the year mark and her test was negative!!! So happy I found this place Read Less

I want to thank Dr. Wayne and all the staff at Murphy's Vet Clinic. My rescue dog had heartworm and I called my old vet and the said they would treat her with arsenic and it would be $800 to $1000 and she may not make it through the treatment. Dr. Wayne told me what to do and treated my dog with a much less harsh treatment, and one year later my sweet ""Lucky"" is heartworm free and free to live a long happy life with our family. Oh and the charge for this was about $125, way less than the arsenic treatment. To the person who said this treatment does not work, it WORKS!! But you have to do your part every month and give your dog the heartworm pill, not hard to do. Grow up and be responsable for your pet. I LOVE MURPHY VET CLINIC!!!! The vet is good, but the prices are sky high expensive. You won't get out of there for less than $125.00. There is no estimate before you have services, just a whopping bill at the end. Don't get me wrong, the vet services are good... but hello... a nail trim should be included in the office visit.. it's $11.00.. really?? That's crazy expensive. They also up charge you like a waiter would do in a restaurant do extra services that the pet really doesn't need.. and guess what? that's right, it's on your bill in the end. The average injection is $28.00 with a biohazard fee for each syringe.. three shots = $9.30 in extra fees. Again... the vet is good.. just take your wallet and lube before you go there. Read Less

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Dr. Wayne has been treating my senior cat for quite a while. She was seriously ill, and she was able to treat her and add several years to her life. I fully trust her wth my pets. I have just gotten a new kitty from the animal shelter who is pretty sick. She is treating her now and we expect her to continue seeing Dr. Wayne for the next 15 year! Please do not retire, doc. The entire staff, especially Mike, are warm, loving and deeply care about the animals brought in to them. I can not say enought positive things about this vet clinic. I've only taken two dogs personally to this facility and the vet, Dr. Wayne, seems great but her right-hand man, Mike, is nearly impossible to deal with. He is downright rude and has actually hung up on friends when they've called about dogs the vet was looking to re-home. He doesn't listen to your question, sounds frustrated in dealing with a client by phone and seems to contradict everything the vet says she'll do for the dog. The fact that their heartworm procedure doesn't seem to work for several dogs I've known that were treated there makes me wonder what exactly they're doing for the price they charge. More importantly, how can you trust your pet's safety to them after such a critical treatment when he's coughing several months later?? Heartworm is a disease you can't take lightly if you care about the animal - prolonged exposure only shortens their life! Add in one very uncaring staff member and all you get is regret for the money wasted. Not impressed at all!!!! Read Less

We highly recommend Dr. Wayne. We have been using her for going on 6 years. She was recommend by a mutual friend and when we first went to her we thought we were going to have to put our beloved dog down, but she diagnosed something very minor and with medication our baby is still going strong at 15 years old. She is very straight forward and will take the time with you if needed. We adore Mike as he is always there for any kind of help or support. You can't please everyone-but we feel very fortunate in finding a vet that is caring and is always there for us. Read Less

I took my dog there to apply the rabies vaccines and while I was waiting for the doctor I suddenly see the door open and she came to the waiting room where I was with my dog with the syringe full with the medication and she applied the medication so fast that when I realized what she was doing I so the SYRINGE WAS USED AND DIRTY!!!! SHE IS NOT USING ESTERILIZED SYRINGES I will file a complain with the DBPR this can not be allow. Read Less

Dr. Susan was my "kids'" vet for years until I stupidly decided to move to another state. Superior service, quality care, always there when you need her. No one I've found here in Texas even comes close to the "family" atmosphere she has in her office. Now I'm moving back and I can't wait to bring the kids back in. Read Less
