I have been taking my dogs (3 of them) to Dr Pepper and his staff since early 2009. They are always professional, helpful, accommodating, caring, fun and loving to my boys. They take care of my babies like they are theirs. We found out that my middle baby had cancer over a year ago and it was really bad. Dr. Pepper, Dr Carson and the entire staff, could not have been more wonderful in how they took care of my boy and how they helped me when it came time to let him go. Always thorough, careful, and compassionate. An obviously steady hand at the helm, Dr. Pepper has years of experience, and it shows. We have 4 dogs, and relocated to the area about a year ago. He has provided exceptional care, and goes out of his way to be sure we understand everything he has done or recommends. Staff is gracious and pleasant. We feel very blessed to have found this office. We have always had a large number of dogs, and have lived in many places with them all over the US. Dr pepper as taken care of my black lab for over eighteen years.girl my dog as everything from cancer to a broken leg. One time she ran into a stick and had a real bad open cut. Dr pepper fixed her up for half the price three other vets wanted in town.Now she as past away and I had Dr pepper help me with that. Its one of the hardest thing I had to do in a long time. There staff supported me and helped out so much. Even then DR pepper charged a better price than four other places. Its not the cost at all, I would of spent any amount to help my dog. Was recommended to go here and made mistake of taking my two dogs and cat here. I was double charged for a rabies vaccination back in June. Was not aware of it until over a month later when I decided to take my animals back to my original vet-Southgate Animal Clinic (whom I highly recommend-much less expensive) & they pointed it out to me. How come I did not get a call informing me I had a credit? In addition, while I was at Fruitville Veterinary Clinic, I ended up paying close to $500.00 for various charges. Had I agreed to everything the young vet ( recommended, I would have left there, paying close to $700-800.00.) In addition , my cat, who has never been checked for Feline Leukemia or vaccinated was supposedly given a vaccination for it. I KNOW that he was not because I distinctly remember being in exam room worrying about all the $ this visit was going to cost me and discussing it with vet and technician. The test was $52 and the vaccine was $23 plus a $2.00 biohazard disposal fee. I said I would do it when I came back (although I had no intention of going back there). Yet, on my bill, there is also a charge for a FL vaccination. Why would I agree to vaccinate my cat without a test? When I called FV Clinic today about double-billing on rabies, I was told that cat had vaccine which he did not. It is very likely that due to the mistake made with rabies, I was  also charged for something I did not want done at that time. Woman with British accent even admitted to NOT having been in room with me, so HOW does she know anything? I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. We will spend money on our pets, no doubt, but no need to put you in the poor-house when there are other options. They also gave me an estimate for a spay that would cost me over $500 &  a teeth cleaning on a 9lb dog that will cost $491.00 Southgate will only cost $198.00 & that includes bloodwork. Also, FV Clinic charged me $23 per dog to trim toe nails and although they did trim one dog's nails completely (front & back), they had difficulty with my little dog and were only able to trim his front nails, yet still charged me full price, even though they only trimmed the front nails because the vet (Carson) couldn't see the quick. Dr, Pepper and his staff our awesome. First time going there with my two cats. They were thete for a yearly exam and vaccinations. Dr. Pepper was very nice, calm with my babies. Very nice, smart, explained everything to me. Told me what breed my cats were and said they were beautiful and in great health. His office is very clean and organized. Very big and stocked with all kinds of food and other stuff for your babies. My old vets office was dirty and smelled like urine. Im sl glad I found Dr. Pepper. Now Im sad were moving out of state next year. The prices are not too much, not bad. They even give you a welcoming bag of goodies. I highly recommend Dr. Pepper. Read Less

I had my dog's teeth cleaned and was extremely pleased with the whole experience. Dr Pepper examined him and went over the procedure with me. A call to reassure me that Ripley went through the surgery and was recovering. When I picked up Ripley later in the day Dr Pepper met with me and gave me Ripley's X-ray and photos of the before and after along with a folder on canine dental care. I have had Ripley's teeth cleaned before at another veterinary clinic in Michigan and never had the service I received from Fruitville Veterinary Clinic. I would highly recommend any services! We've moved a lot and it's always difficult to find a great vet, but everyone at Fruitville Veterinary Clinic exceeded my expectations. Everyone from the vet techs to the front desk associates are so helpful and friendly. Dr. Pepper truly cares and listens/answers your individual questions. My dog Chewie actually gets excited when he gets to go to the vet, and that is unusual. Dr Pepper and all of his staff are absolutely amazing, they all care about animals and you can tell by the reaction of your pet.
