I gave them 2 stars because I did see a fellow leave happy, even when he paid the $500 bill. My experience is that the staff is mostly friendly but the vet was aloof and unable to take my nervous dog calm, he only made my 13yo more nervous. He made it worse by muzzeling him. One of the worst experiences I've had at a vet. Not THE worst but close to it. Way overpriced.

That is in the case you love your pet I assume.first of all it boasts about laser surgery : well it is no longer available as the machines are broken , however the sign is mighty and big up thereEvery time you take your pet in in , there is a different Dr. who know s nothing about your pet, nor care about it therefore.The new staff is uncaring and unqualified. The girl at the desk : Anna, is short and rude and ignorant.I will never let any of my dogs have any care in this place ever again .I took my dog today to be groomed -( a 6 months old puppy) I was told he had an ear infection, and would we like to the Dr. of course I said .yes we would.The dr. came in took a look and said that they had to flush the dog's ear out ;took the dog to the back. I overheard the dr. give directions in the back , pertaining to damaging the dog during the procedure etc.....I peaked through the door to see the receptionist and another technician practically sitting on my puppy on the floor; the other receptionist attempted to close the door to prevent me from seeing that horrible scene! The dr. then came and gave me a lecture about the Exceptionnal care we had and that he receptionnist was as student etc,.....Conclusion I have checked my dogs out ofthis place and will never return there. THAT IS 400.00$ LATER FOR A SIMPLE EAR INFECTION AND CARE BY UNQUALIFIED PEOPLE .SURE THE WALLS HAVE NICE PICTURES ETC... AND THE DECOR IS IMPRESSIVE , BUT IT' S ALL GOLD DUST IN THE EYES!!

Under new management. This vet is in it for the money and is 5 star pricey. I also don't like being scolded by a vet who's telling me that he only does what's best for the animal! Treatment made no sense and would not do it. As is, was a ridiculous amount of money for a 2 minute visit. Never again!

I moved to Sarasota with my son's 12 year old lab from Chicago. Madison suffers from allergies and has for many years. She gets patches of dry skin where her fur comes off and the skin is usually very red. The vet in Chicago had her on Benadryl... this caused her to have severe dry skin. I took it upon myself to get her off Benadryl. Once in Florida her allergies got worse. I called Parkway and they saw her the next day. I forwarded all her records from the prior vet and they treated her for her allergies. Madison responded well to the antibiotics and prednisone treatments, but after a couple months we had to return. I didn't want her on prednisone again so an allergy shot and antibiotics again for the skin bacterial infection and she was good for another two months. We are headed back again, she has been losing her hair and getting patches again. Sure it cost to go to the doctor, you have to be an informed patient and advocate for your animal. You have to know what is most important for their well being, you spend more time with your animal then the doctor ever will. I am grateful that my grand-dog, which I am now responsible for, is finally getting relief from her allergies. Thank you for Parkway doctors and staff.

Is so patient not just with animals but people too. He explained everything to me when i had questons and believe me i always have some. He is a good surgeon, even some of my friend left their vet for him. More plus He does laser surgery too.

Our Chihuahua has been a patient there for the past 5 years or so, and the entire staff are very friendly and helpful. Last week he suffered what we thought was a scratch on his eye (at first it only appeared that he was suffering from a cold, so we couldn't tell). Monday it was much worse and they fit us in immediately. Dr Corona was on a working vacation, but Dr. Sandhu attended to him. He attempted to dilate the eye to see the extent, but quickly realized that it was a puncture wound and not in his area of expertise. The information was relayed to Dr Corona, who was arriving home that evening. He scheduled us for first thing in the morning, cutting his vacation short a day. Once he went into surgery, he called us to inform that the eye could not be saved due to the extent of the damage. He explained things in easy to understand terms, and let us know what our options were. Our Chi is home and getting adjusted to his new circumstances. I have recommended several people here, and they have all had excellent experiences. Many thanks to Dr Corona, Dr Sandhu, and the staff at PAH for their kind and caring spirit.

Here is our story, Since Varro(178 pound presa canario) was 8 weeks old we have been part of the parkway animal hospital Family. Everything has always been wonderful from the girls at the reception desk to the vet techs themselves and of course Dr. Corona. About one year ago Varro became ill, so we immediately took varro and went to see Dr. Corona. Dr. Corona professionally perform test which determined we should take an x-ray. Once the x-ray was performed it showed something that we were not sure of, one of the test had said pancreatitis but Dr. Corona was not sure what this mass was. So like a professional he is he confided in another vet to form a second opinion. I think that right there shows a lot, that he was willing to get a second opinion. From there he suggested that we do exploratory surgery because him and the fellow dr. felt that he had intestinal blockage . This was very scary for me and my family but once again Dr. Corona the girls really came through and made us feel very comfortable. With Carl being such a big dog it was a really big surgery and I must say everything could've went better, within one day Varro was back on his feet and has had zero complications and is been better than ever.I want to personally thank Dr. Corona and his staff for making her feel part of the family and taking extra special care of And I want to personally thank Dr. Corona and his staff for making us feel part of the family and taking extra special care of Varro.

I don't know why everyone is surprised with their vet bills! Pet allergies in Florida are difficult to treat since our dogs and cats roll around on the ground all the time. That being said, you will not get any better prices or treatment anywhere else. I have been very happy with the care and compassion of Dr. Corona. It's easy to get an appointment and the groomer is EXCELLENT.

Our family cat became sick all of a sudden. He was sick almost a month so we were finally able to take him in to Parkway. The staff there was wonderful and very friendly. He had to go in for 4 visits....
Our family cat became sick all of a sudden. He was sick almost a month so we were finally able to take him in to Parkway. The staff there was wonderful and very friendly. He had to go in for 4 visits. The first for antibiotics. He wasn't getting any better so he returned the next week where Dr. Corona saw him. He went through tests and x-rays and came to the conclusion of asthma and an upper respitory infection. He went a 3rd time for a follow-up and did great after a cortisone injection. 2 weeks later he was sick again. The staff worked him immediately and he needed another injection and is now on daily asthma medication. He is doing wonderful. Dr. Corona was very patient and friendly with my big baby(17lb) cat. The staff also sent follow-up emails and phone calls which was wonderful. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Corona.

DO NOT GO HERE! They gave one price on the phone then padded the bill when I got there. First the vet did a "test" that I did not know was not included in the price of the office visit. All he did was put some drops in the eye to make sure it wasn't scratched. That to me should be included in office visit otherwise what does office visit even mean? Then they gave me 4 medications that my cat "needed". When I questioned the bill they decided I didn't really need 2 of the meds. Very sad that they would try to take advantage of someone with a sick cat. My $49 vet office visit turned into $189! After they took off the meds I didn't need it was still $159. I told them I would give them $75 and they would have to bill me for the rest. I will never be back. The vet was so busy trying to sell me flea medicine that he lied to me about Frontline. He acted as if the formula had changed since it was now available in Wal-Mart, etc. I questioned him about it because I happened to know that the formula didn't change, the patten for the effective ingredient is now public. My advice is to find someone else to take your beloved pets to.

I highly recommend this clinic for any pet owner. They have bilingual services which is hard to find in this area. I could go on and on about this clinic, but to fully understand the situation, you have to visit and partake in the environment and services of this clinic.

Dr. Sandu and his team of professionals are wonderful people. They provided my pup love an care while she was sick. Sandy had a bowel obstruction and with great observation, knowledge, and love their medical treatment was successful! Sandy is home and is in recovery. Words cannot express my gratitude for their loving care. If you do not have a veterinarian yet, I HIGHLY recommend Parkway Animal Hospital in Sarasota FL.

Our Chihuahua has been a patient there for the past 5 years or so, and the entire staff are very friendly and helpful. Last week he suffered what we thought was a scratch on his eye (at first it only appeared that he was suffering from a cold, so we couldn't tell). Monday it was much worse and they fit us in immediately. Dr Corona was on a working vacation, but Dr. Sandhu attended to him. He attempted to dilate the eye to see the extent, but quickly realized that it was a puncture wound and not in his area of expertise. The information was relayed to Dr Corona, who was arriving home that evening. He scheduled us for first thing in the morning, cutting his vacation short a day. Once he went into surgery, he called us to inform that the eye could not be saved due to the extent of the damage. He explained things in easy to understand terms, and let us know what our options were. Our Chi is home and getting adjusted to his new circumstances. I have recommended several people here, and they have all had excellent experiences. Many thanks to Dr Corona, Dr Sandhu, and the staff at PAH for their kind and caring spirit.

Here is our story, Since Varro(178 pound presa canario) was 8 weeks old we have been part of the parkway animal hospital Family. Everything has always been wonderful from the girls at the reception desk to the vet techs themselves and of course Dr. Corona. About one year ago Varro became ill, so we immediately took varro and went to see Dr. Corona. Dr. Corona professionally perform test which determined we should take an x-ray. Once the x-ray was performed it showed something that we were not sure of, one of the test had said pancreatitis but Dr. Corona was not sure what this mass was. So like a professional he is he confided in another vet to form a second opinion. I think that right there shows a lot, that he was willing to get a second opinion. From there he suggested that we do exploratory surgery because him and the fellow dr. felt that he had intestinal blockage . This was very scary for me and my family but once again Dr. Corona the girls really came through and made us feel very comfortable. With Carl being such a big dog it was a really big surgery and I must say everything could've went better, within one day Varro was back on his feet and has had zero complications and is been better than ever.I want to personally thank Dr. Corona and his staff for making her feel part of the family and taking extra special care of And I want to personally thank Dr. Corona and his staff for making us feel part of the family and taking extra special care of Varro.

4 weeks ago I took a 3 week old stray kitten in. She needed a blood transfusion because she was severely depleted due to a flea infestation. She was nearly lifeless when I arrived. Dr. Heather Egen & her wonderful staff took GREAT care to be certain that the kitten was treated & on her road to recovery. It was my first experience there. I would sincerely recommend this office!

I love the way Parkway staff loves my Zuko as one of their own, always happy to see him and he is always happy for the attention. They are extremely kind to both me and my cats, they are truly concerned with my cats well being and that is AWESOME!! Take your pets here if they are sick or need any vet treatment at all!!!!

The doctors and staff are the best. The doctors take time to talk to you and answer all your questions. I feel my "fur baby" who has a chronic illness is getting great care.

I don't know why everyone is surprised with their vet bills! Pet allergies in Florida are difficult to treat since our dogs and cats roll around on the ground all the time. That being said, you will not get any better prices or treatment anywhere else. I have been very happy with the care and compassion of Dr. Corona. It's easy to get an appointment and the groomer is EXCELLENT.

Our family cat became sick all of a sudden. He was sick almost a month so we were finally able to take him in to Parkway. The staff there was wonderful and very friendly. He had to go in for 4 visits....
Our family cat became sick all of a sudden. He was sick almost a month so we were finally able to take him in to Parkway. The staff there was wonderful and very friendly. He had to go in for 4 visits. The first for antibiotics. He wasn't getting any better so he returned the next week where Dr. Corona saw him. He went through tests and x-rays and came to the conclusion of asthma and an upper respitory infection. He went a 3rd time for a follow-up and did great after a cortisone injection. 2 weeks later he was sick again. The staff worked him immediately and he needed another injection and is now on daily asthma medication. He is doing wonderful. Dr. Corona was very patient and friendly with my big baby(17lb) cat. The staff also sent follow-up emails and phone calls which was wonderful. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Corona.

DO NOT GO HERE! They gave one price on the phone then padded the bill when I got there. First the vet did a "test" that I did not know was not included in the price of the office visit. All he did was put some drops in the eye to make sure it wasn't scratched. That to me should be included in office visit otherwise what does office visit even mean? Then they gave me 4 medications that my cat "needed". When I questioned the bill they decided I didn't really need 2 of the meds. Very sad that they would try to take advantage of someone with a sick cat. My $49 vet office visit turned into $189! After they took off the meds I didn't need it was still $159. I told them I would give them $75 and they would have to bill me for the rest. I will never be back. The vet was so busy trying to sell me flea medicine that he lied to me about Frontline. He acted as if the formula had changed since it was now available in Wal-Mart, etc. I questioned him about it because I happened to know that the formula didn't change, the patten for the effective ingredient is now public. My advice is to find someone else to take your beloved pets to.

Parkway animal hospital, has the best and compassionate staff, outstanding service, I have been at many different clinics and Parkway Animal Hospital really satisfied my needs. I highly recommend this clinic for any pet owner. They have bilingual services which is hard to find in this area. I could go on and on about this clinic, but to fully understand the situation, you have to visit and partake in the environment and services of this clinic.
