Anyway, they're professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and care about their customers and their owners. My Yorkie had been having horrible diarrhea for several days between Christmas and New Years. I was extremely worried about him and being new to the area didn't have a vet. My chichi stopped eating and drinking during a long roadtrip. New patient. When I called on a Friday the Receptionist talked with the Vet.since they were full. I was allowed to drop dog in. If you have an endless supply of money, this vet is for you! I have been with this vet for a year and a half, and can honestly say that I have spent $1000's there. They are very casual about the tests they are running such as the blood draw and urinalysis, etc. and run tests without letting you know..but then you get hit with a charge in the several $100's!! My cat was in today to test her for hyperthyroidism. They don't bother to tell you that the bloodwork for that is double what regular bloodwork costs. I was expecting the typical $100 like I've paid for my dog...but instead they charged me $212 just for the bloodwork. I just spent $340 and have no answers as to what is ailing my cat. I can also share that my 14 year old dog was in in September to have an ear cyst removed, and have a bunch of moles removed. I dropped her off first thing in the morning as requested and was told they would call when she was out of surgery. I finally called at 1:30, after hearing nothing from the vet, and they said she was just about to go into surgery. So she sat there for HOURS before they did the procedure! I was told to pick her up at 5:30, and let's just say she was a trainwreck! Bleeding open wounds, blood dripping from her ear where the cyst was removed, and her entire body covered with burns from the mole removals. She was in a lot of pain, and should not have been released to me in that condition. And I paid almost $500 for that! It was way too hard on her for her age. It looked like she had been burned with cigarettes all over her body, and her ear was FULL of blood! Some of the wounds were huge and should have been stitched. Had I known It would be so traumatic for her, I wouldn't have done the mole removals. I would expect the vet to know that, but he made it sound like it wouldn't be a big deal. I will be finding a different vet. This vet is outrageous with their prices, and they don't give you ANY indication of what kind of charges you're accruing until you get to the counter. If it's an exorbitant amount, they should give their client a head's up, and I've always been very clear that I want to keep the cost down. They don't care, and it's all about the money there. You can't do any better then this! They have the most careing and knowledgeable staff! We have been with them for quite a number of years and don't even entertain the thought of going any where else! We live in Gulfport and drive our animals to them. I can't lie we have our favorite, Dr. Julie White! But they are all wonderful! We have seen them all at one point! And by the way if you didn't know , Dr. White practices Chinese medicine as well! She did acupuncture on our kitty with a spinal injury, who we thought would never walk again.
