Because of this woman, I have been going everywhere looking for a new vet like crazy. She is completely incompetent and lazy. The staff there were always talking crap about their own clients to me, and made fun of a woman that was large and the way she dressed. This vet has been telling me to put my dog down since January. She has been wrong and always did bare minimum never explaining anything to me. She overdosed my dog on a pain killer. While I was in the office waiting, I have seen her kill 2 pets on her table during a surgery. I ignored her when she was pushing me to euthanize my dog for the last year. She would act surprised like, oh still alive? and she would say...well you need to put the pet down will not get better at all. She was completely wrong. She hurt my dog as well with needles. She would be careless and harsh. She lied to me a lot as well. She would never give a game plan or any guidance. She told me stop treating my dog that she needs to just be put down. this is January. She was wrong and my pet is still alive no thanks to this her.

My family and I have been to several animal clinics and we can assure you that we have never ever met such wonderful, caring, attentive and loving people. We look our cat Tupac because he was not doing well actually is in critical care. Miami dade highly recommended them, I now know why. Dr. Maria Olivera is truly dedicated and passionate about the animals. We actually have insurance through another animal clinic and am going to be changing to South Miami Animal Clinic from now on. Honestly, I felt they truly did care about our cats well being and are sooooo incredibly grateful for there help. Forever grateful!!

My experience with Dr. Olivera was by far the best!! She is caring & knowledgable to say the least. Dr. Olivera knew exactly what my rescue kitten needed to cure dead ear mites that caused yeast, a fecal parasite & a terrible respiratory infection. She was under weight & not eating. Now she is 100%. Thank you Dr. Olivera!!

My daughter moved to Miami to attend law school and adopted a kitten in the process. She found the South Miami Animal Clinic and had the initial exam and vaccinations performed under their care. I had to contact the clinic to get the results of a lab test for the kitten as my daughter was in class and was greeted by the friendliest and most informative staff a patient could hope for. My daughter reports excellent medical care from Dr. Oliveira and support from her staff...I can confirm this impression from my contact with them today. We highly recommend this animal clinic!

Terrible experience today at South Miami Animal Clinic. I had a scheduled appointment, arrived early. They had me refill out all my information even though I had been there before. I was very alarmed because at a minimum I expect my Vet to have accurate records of my visits for the health of my dog. Then the girl behind the desk, who seemed bothered that I was there told me that I would have to wait... 45 minutes later and no one else in the waiting room I was blown off again with "you'll just have to wait".... So now I am looking for a new Vet who at the very minimum respects her client's time and can keep accurate records.

It was my first time there and she took the time to tell me all the ways to prevent different diseases. She took her time and checked out my dog completely. She was super helpful and told us about the best more cost efficient way to make him feel better. My only concern was that, because we got the dog at the shelter the first visit was free, it felt like they didn't try to keep us as customers. It was like they expected to never see us again. As a new customer it felt a little like I wasn't too welcome because they didn't think they'd see me again. Other than that she was a great doctor. Treated him so kindly, tried to give him a treat (he wasn't feeling well so didn't take it), she even got down on the floor with him which I think made him really comfortable. She also seemed extremely experienced and very knowledgeable. Overall, I definitely plan on going back.

Dr. Oliveira is THE BEST! She's so kind and affectionate to my kitty, and she always lets me take a peek at what she finds under the microscope. She takes her time with the animals and doesn't make you feel rushed. You can easily tell how much she loves her work and I highly recommend her services.

Dr. Oliveira truly cares about our baby, Oliver. He is always so happy to see her and I think that says a lot. I chose South Miami Animal Clinic because Dr. Oliveira was listed as a vet who gave a major discount (free first visit) to animals that were adopted from Miami-Dade Animal Services. I think all vets should provide that at the very least to encourage people to adopt and not shop for pets. Anyhow, Dr. Oliveira is honest, and clear about what Oly needs and doesn't need. She always lets us know what the most cost efficient ways to do things for him, and she also takes her time when she is with us. I highly recommend her as your furry family members doc!

Because of this woman, I have been going everywhere looking for a new vet like crazy. She is completely incompetent and lazy. The staff there were always talking crap about their own clients to me, and made fun of a woman that was large and the way she dressed. This vet has been telling me to put my dog down since January. My family and I have been to several animal clinics and we can assure you that we have never ever met such wonderful, caring, attentive and loving people. My daughter moved to Miami to attend law school and adopted a kitten in the process. She found the South Miami Animal Clinic and had the initial exam and vaccinations performed under their care. I had to contact the clinic to get the results of a lab test for the kitten as my daughter was in class and was greeted by the friendliest and most informative staff a patient could hope for. My daughter reports excellent medical care from Dr. Oliveira and support from her staff...I can confirm this impression from my contact with them today. We highly recommend this animal clinic!

Terrible experience today at South Miami Animal Clinic. I had a scheduled appointment, arrived early. They had me refill out all my information even though I had been there before. It was my first time there and she took the time to tell me all the ways to prevent different diseases. She took her time and checked out my dog completely. She was super helpful and told us about the best more cost efficient way to make him feel better. My only concern was that, because we got the dog at the shelter the first visit was free, it felt like they didn't try to keep us as customers. It was like they expected to never see us again. I chose South Miami Animal Clinic because Dr. Oliveira was listed as a vet who gave a major discount (free first visit) to animals that were adopted from Miami-Dade Animal Services.
