I wish zero starts were possible. I cannot recommend or trust PetPal, the staff, the careless receptionist named Kristina or the vet Dr. Londono to correctly process my six month Trifexis order paired with 1800petmeds in a timely manner.
Petpal botched my Trifexis order 3 times from 1/18/2023, 2/1/23 and finally 2/10/23. My paperwork says my dog had her heartworm test performed at Petpal on 1/4/23 with Dr. Londono. Christina the receptionist also had mentioned this on the phone. When I placed my 6 month Trifexis flea med order on 1/18 my vet denied it because my dog “needed a heartworm test” before she could approve the script.….Dr. Londono performed the test on 1/4 so why is she having issues with my dog’s negative heartworm test?
All I wanted was a six month flea prevention for my dog. I had to cancel the first 1800petmed order because Petpal took over a week and a half to approve my 1800petmeds script and never contacted me to let me know if they approved my order. They left me in the dark for about fifteen days where I then placed a second order of Trifexis hoping this would push Petpal to realize their error and get on track. Still, no word from Petpal about Trifexis. The second time I ordered 2/1 was denied by Petpal’s vet because of her “missing heart worm test” performed on 1/4. Petpal, as of today, 2/10/23 are requesting that I pay them more money $37 for ANOTHER heartworm test which was performed on 1/4/23 and refuse to honor my past orders placed on 1/18, 2/1 and 2/10 in hopes of getting my dog six month’s worth of flea prevention. You have to wait nearly two weeks for Petpal’s time frame to say yes to 1800petmeds. Petpal doesn’t print or email the heartworm / Trifexis script for me to send to 1800petmeds myself. If I sent it in upon placing my order, it would have been done the right way and quickly.
During my order with 1800petmeds, Petpal never called or emailed me to confirm their acceptance of my heartworm/ Trifexis script. Petpal also rejected a lot of 1800PetMeds phone calls which left me to deal with Petpal myself and play phone tag with them. 1800petmeds emailed me nonstop with updates how Petpal was not picking up their phone calls. Now my dog and my cats have fleas because of Petpal’s CARELESS timeframe. I’ve been dealing with a very careless phone receptionist all day today named Christina. I’ve been on the phone with her on 2/10/23 from 9:34 am to 2:36 pm as well as playing phone tag these past few weeks. My dog Cloud and my cats have to suffer fleas because of the vet and the staff’s carelessness.

I rescued a small chihuahua and had brought it to Petpal Veterinary Clinic for routine bloodwork before having the dog neutered. I did not receive any results on the bloodwork so I called again and again leaving messages in hopes of finding out the results and scheduling an examination. I finally received a call in which the vet tech stated that she had definitely called me, when asked what number she had called, she read off a number that wasn't mine. She then told me that we would have to pay for the bloodwork again. I was very upset, at this point I received a phone call from Scott Daley who set up an appointment for me. I told him the dog was having issues with its leg and he said it is likely a luxating patella, I will let the vet know to look at the leg when the dog comes in for neutering. When I went to the appointment, I told them the dog hadn't eaten, which he is not supposed to. I then asked them to check his knees because the owner of the clinic, Scott Daley, specifically told me he would ask them to do so. Keep in mind, while I set up this appointment a few days prior, my dog was eating, and I told Scott that despite the leg pain he was eating. The vet tech told me the doctor refused to see the dog because he hadn't eaten to which I responded, "He isn't supposed to eat prior to being neutered". So, I called Scott Daley at which point he screamed at me; "You ^&%$#) idiot you told them he hasn't eaten". I could not believe I had just missed an hour of work to be berated for having my dog fast before surgery. Scott even threatened the health of my dog, for which I have filed a complaint with the state veterinary board. Not only did we lose all of the money we spent on examinations to get the dog ready for surgery but we were left feeling unsafe,

I had a recuse, a back yard breeder that was beaten and abused then discarded. Probably because she could no longer have puppies. I went in to have a mammary tumor evaluated and possibly removed. I saw Dr. Smith. He was honest, and was concerned about my Princess's quality of life. I was given truthful answers, and appreciate the way I was talked to, and addressed. A week later I had to return, as she was not getting any better. It was time to let her pass and end any suffering. The female veterinarian was exceptional, as were the vet techs who handled the matter. The front desk person was helpful, and all the staff were kind, very compassionate and allowed me time to grieve. I am very thankful I was able to be helped by the people at this excellent facility. God Bless them all.

Don't ever go here. Vet is competent. Office staff is rude and unprofessional. one of them feels the need to lose your voice messages and emails and flat out lies to you. They will jerk you around on money and their bottom line is what they can get out of you. One of the staff admitted that they jack up the price on the meds to make up for the discounted other services. In the end, no cheaper than anyone else. Staff does not seem to care. They treat you like dirt. Don't trust them.

My story: I drove down here from Tampa because their previous owner recommended them highly (although they DON'T after this incident). So I put my two kitties in their carriers, stayed the night with them at a friend's in Largo so the drive was shorter. I was told I had an appointment at 7:30 am, so at 6:30am I put my cats back in their carriers and drove down.Well. The place isn't even open till 8. So now I'm sitting around waiting another half hour with two kitties who are both meow-screaming by this point. When I finally got in, I filled out paperwork for them and waited my turn. They got to me pretty quickly, but then they told me that because they had been taken by the previous owner last time, they weren't able to treat them with me as the owner. The receptionist told me it's a "Florida state law"... their previous owner used to be a vet tech and told me there is no such law and they treat pets all the time when they are taken in by a different person, because they understand stuff happens! These people treated me like I was some sort of cat-napper just because they'd previously seen the same cats with a different person. I will be taking my pets elsewhere to be fixed, and if they get knocked up in the meantime, I know who's to blame!

The one star is for the occasional friendly vet tech. I've taken my fosters and rescues here quite a few times, and have been treated with nothing but disrespect for absolutely no reason. The front desk staff talk down to you and are incredibly rude, even with approached with the friendliest of attitudes. Going to the vet is already a difficult time, and I don't think it's too much to ask to have compassionate care at a vet clinic. Not to mention you may be waiting there hours for vaccines since they don't take appointments. There are other significantly more professionally run vet clinics, so my business will be taken elsewhere. Do NOT recommend!!

Refuse to give the script for heartworm that I paid for with the annual exam and heartworm test. Now they want another 30.00 because they did not sell me heartworm meds directly after her exam; she had meds left from last year. So now my dog has to go through rainy season with no heartworm meds because she can not afford to give 30.00 away for no reason other then the Hilter like No Pets Pal will not approve her meds. THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND DO CARE ABOUT YOUR PET!!!! I hate NO PAL PET PALS....

The receptionist was most helpful explaining their process and procedures! The doctor was calmly competent, and tried to give the best care for the most reasonable price.
And since we'd brought in a stray needing surgery that we were trying to find a good home for, they made sure to include all the recovery meds to ensure he was healthy for his new family.
The waiting area is a little small when they get busy.
But it's a top notch veterinary clinic, and part of a wonderful cause!!

My wait was not long. We saw the Vet. She was very thorough and found several things that I was not aware of. I got the medicine 💊 Bear 🐻 needed. I was amazed at the cost. If I would've gone to the vet I have used in the past the cost would have been 3x what they changed me. I was blown away. I will continue to use them. They are outstanding!!! 🐾😂

Where to begin. This place is disorganized chaos. The front desk people are rude and easily confused. No matter when you show up, expect to wait. (Hard for those of us who work not to make an appointment) the only reason I used this place was because the rescue organization partners with them. I called to make a spay appointment and wasn't sure it actually made it to the calendar. We went to another vet who suggested dew claw removal at the time of spay and I left pet pal 3-4 unreturned voicemails and even a detailed email asking if this could be done. Eventually I went in person and they told me it was noted in her record (but no one called me). Fast forward to the day before surgery and I had to call them to confirm drop-off time, when to pull food etc. Usually it's the other way around. Morning of the surgery we got there before they opened at 8 and had to wait in line for 40 minutes. There's no special drop-off place or time for surgery patients like other vets I've been to. Finally it was her time to go back and I had to explain the dew claw removal all over again. Twice. (Please note she had detached rear dews which are prone to ripping.) I also had to pick her up by 430 that day (again most vets are a little more flexible with surgery pick-up and drop-off) at which point the nurse said to bring her back in 3 days to follow up. I preferred to use our other vet and said so but she was insistent I come back that Monday and wait without an appointment. We went to our own vet. And no one from pet pal has even followed up. PS they also overcharged me and by that point I was tired of fighting. The only reason I didn't give this place 1 star is that the vets appear competent. In the end I was pleased with the incisions and grateful for this. I am honestly shocked this place has such a good star rating at this point. I understand that it's high volume, but I'd rather pay a little more to go anywhere else. We won't be back.

The staff is what you want when trusting those worthy of your pet's health/life! Knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, competent, and genuine are just a few words I would use to describe people who are doing the absolute most with what they have to work with. This place runs by donation. I know it's only recommended but I recommend people donate to keep it going. They're true goal is helping your pet. The shelter is also amazing! Opt to adopt! If you don't adopt donate to the shelter! They Foster and care for many animals on a shoestring budget. I will continue to support them and recommend them to everyone I know.

That was the best part....
We asked for a treatment to lower his temperature. Got blood work and fecal test that would be ready in 24 hrs. Nope This is not an emergency veterinarian hospital. We went there during normal business hours. Stopped on Monday 6/4/2018 and would not help us and would not give us our test results saying we did not get them. We paid for them and was on the receipt. All in all this was a terrible experience and they we absolutely no help....
I will not donate, shop, or use Pet Pals service's any more.

I wish they had -1000 stars for this HORRIBLE place!!!!! They almost killed my cat!!! When we took him on Friday with 106 temperature they did no exam, and just gave us antibiotics. We wanted blood work done, and was told it would be 24 hours for the results. The vet told me that if his temperature did not go down by 2, to call her back and let her know. At 2, I called because his temperature had not dropped and he was getting worse. She informed me to take him to the ER and told me that the blood work would NOT be in until Monday ... fast forward to 4 days in the ER, no blood work from Pet Pal, and a $1400 bill later. Today is Monday, I was told by the ER to follow up w Pet pal as soon as they opened, I got up this morning at 6am to be the first one there. They took me back, a different vet came in, and informed me a needed to see a specialist and there was nothing he could do. He wouldn’t even bring my cats 106 temperature DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I received NO blood work or feces sample results they did from Friday, and received no kind words. NOTHING!!! When I left there, I found Noah’s place, took my cat there and they finally got everything under control. I wrote an email to SCOTT DALY about my experience, he called and to my surprise was one of the RUDEST, CONDESCENDING, JERK I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. He told me he would NOT refund my money, and when I said I would see him in court, he told me “Good Luck”. Thank goodness I had him on speaker phone at the vet I was at, all the receptionist heard the way he spoke to me along with the rest of the waiting room. This has been an absolute NIGHTMARE of a weekend, and he didn’t make things any better. How this “man” is in charge of all the lives of these animals is beyond me. This was an horrible experience and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I've found my new vet. Finally moved back to Pinellas County after 5 years in the Army. The prices are great, the staff are even better. I brought my two dogs in on a walk in basis for their yearly shots. The whole process took an hour and most of that was getting them registered in the system. I will without a doubt bring them here henceforth.

I've taken two of my dogs here for the past 6 years and am happy with Pet Pals animal clinic. The service is affordable and other than no longer offering appointments (I think too many people were no-shows) I'm a happy customer (and so are the dogs). We do our check-ups and vaccines here every year and while some vets in town feel like they're trying to sell you on service and procedures the staff here really seem to want to do what's best for the pets and the owners. One of my dogs has chronic skin issues and some vets would have charged me thousands. I know work with a lot of rescues and patients in financial need and appreciate their work. They're a hugely valued part of the community.

This clinic is amazing. Having been ripped off money wise by several vets we gave them a try with our three dogs. Is it in the best area? No. Is the waiting area the nicest? Nope. It's a walk in clinic... BUT the care your pet gets is second to none. I had one of our dogs develop a lump that had to be diagnosed and then cut out. Another pet had to have a couple of teeth removed. They have handled surgeries with amazing care and detail. I will NEVER go to another vet as long as they are in business. I estimate 60% the price of the vets with nice waiting areas.

I brought my min pin in for sores he had on his side and Dr. Cindy was truly amazing! Very patient with me and my little terror of a dog. She spent a lot of time with me and discussed what was going with him and she knew by the paperwork that he also suffered from seizures and this had her quite concerned...we have seen other vets for this problem which cost me $$$ for constant blood work and meds which never helped him. She told me about a Med that needed no blood work monitoring and could help him and would look into the dosage fo the liquid instead of the compounded pill which would be cheaper for me! Also recommended a new prescription dog food made for dogs who had seizures. I was so amazed by her willing to help not only my dog but me as well! The staff and vet tech were also very nice to me and snickers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

My dad even had to clean up someone else's pee otherwise it would've sat there.I understand it's not an upscale vet, but there just wasn't a welcoming feeling at all, it's not that the receptionist did anything wrong, they just weren't very friendly.There's an office cat that is supposed to stay on the "cat" side but it still wandered over and walked down the hall on the dog side.... my dog chases cats. If someone didn't have a good grip on a leash there could've been a dead cat; it's really just an accident waiting to happen.Our vet tech/ nurse was absolutely wonderful. Went over everything with me and with my dogs. (Service I would normally expect from a vet office but after everything disappointing me while waiting I was surprised) The veterinarian herself was also nice.Our exam room walls were pretty dirty. It could've been mold, it could've been dog liquids, it could've been anything. When the vet walked in she immediately started coughing and made a comment, "something about this room makes me cough every time" and the exam room door had to be cracked to let out whatever it is in that room so she could work normally.When you think of a doctor's office, which is what a vet office is, you think of sterile and cleanliness. This missed the mark by far. I really was disgusted; it was a stressful experience being year.Like I said before, I know it's a low cost clinic and they're a nonprofit but they still make their money but it doesn't appear to be going into the upkeep of their facility, or cleaning products. For a low cost vet, I still walked out paying over $300 for vaccines, heart worm tests, preventatives, etc for 2 dogs.The 2 stars are really only for the care we received from the vet and her assistant. Everything else is a big 0.

I rescued a puppy that was dumped at a park & discovered later that it couldn't hold food down, which explained why it was so skinny. My regular vet was able to test for worms & a chip, but I had to schedule an appt for Friday to see the doc. So Wednesday, I walked into Pet Pal to have this pup evaluated. They charged $30 for the office visit & $88 for a single view x-ray. I received an Rx but had to refill it at Walgreens. The office visit & x-ray totaled $118. The Rx cost $10 more at Walgreens. PP burned a CD containing the x-ray to take to my regular vet.I took this pup to Gulfport for her Friday office visit. The x-ray on the Pet Pal CD was so poor that Gulfport had to take another. Gulfport's charge was $20 for the same x-ray view that cost $88 @ Pet Pal. At Gulfport, I was charged for medication, fecal exam, x-ray 1 view, & office visit totaling $84, & they clipped this pup's nails for free.I've heard that Pet Pal is a low cost Vet yet they seem to be fleecing their customers. Why would Pet Pal charge over 4x more for an x-ray than Gulfport? Pet Pal refused to reimburse me for any of the inflated x-ray costs & they became defensive. I'm trying to keep this pup out of their system. When I mentioned this, they said that they wouldn't have accepted this dog but that it would 've had to go to animal control. I should've asked why but I suspect it's because the pup may be a lab/pit mix, which may explain the inflated x-ray cost too. The vet at Pet Pal reassured me during the visit that if I chose to euthanize her, that I shouldn't feel bad because it would be humane. They claim to be a no-kill shelter but now I suspect that this pup would've been euthanized if they had taken her.This was my 1st experience with Pet Pal & it will be my last. They aren't cheaper than Gulfport, not even close, & they weren't reasonable. Why did they fleece me when I was trying to rescue a puppy that had been abandoned at a park? I certainly don't look rich.

I recommend this vet 100%. My dog PJ got very sick very fast it was all so overwhelming. He lost 28 pounds in a matter of a week, we didn't know what he had. So we took him to three places before Pet pal and they all kept sending us to a different place because they didn't have enough doctor's there to help us. Finally a vet accepted us however, they saw we weren't really financially stable so they were telling us to put him down. We told them we couldn't possibly do that and when we were leaving a nurse recommended pet pal. They accepted him right away and took x-rays, did a bunch of tests and put him on an IV once they knew what it was. They knew we didn't have a lot of money to offer at the time and worked out an agreement for us. I will never go to another place in St. Petersburg again. And PJ is back to his healthy self.

I don't normally rate vets because let's be honest it is very hard to find an affordable vet that actually cares about your animals. However I found that with Pet Pal. I took my dog in for an ear infection that she had for a while and my vet just couldn't take care of properly. This vet is a walk in clinic and you WILL wait, but who cares? You should know that before you go in and just know that your animal will be cared for when your time comes. Anyways the vet looked at my dogs ear infection under a microscope(something the other vet never cared to do) and was great with my little baby! I will definitely be returning for all my veterinary needs from now on seeing as how it is much cheaper and better quality than my last vet, thank you pet pal!

Exactly 1 week ago, I dropped my cat off here to get spayed. When I picked her up, the vet tech brought my cat, Eva, out to me in the waiting area and my cat was not happy at all. I have never heard her hiss and growl like that before at anyone. I brought her home and she was hunched over and barely walking. I thought this was normal since she just had a major surgery. The doc have me 2 different kinds of pain meds. I gave her pain meds and then my cat went to sleep for the night. In the morning, when she woke up, she was wandering around the room with a limp. I immediately called the vet to ask if this was normal. They said no and to bring her in. I brought her in to see the doctor. The first thing the vet tech said was that Eva "gave her a hard time and she would need the doctor to help handle her." what does that mean?!?? My cat is has never hissed or growled at me. They did an x-ray and there are no broken bones but that still never explained why my cat came home limping. I am not sure if my cat was "hard to deal with" and made the techs use more restraint or what. All I know is that my cat was not limping before she had the spay procedure done and the techs accidentally don't care. This is heart-breaking and there is no justification. Deeply saddened that I will never know what really happen to make my cat come home limping. I'm hoping it is something minor and will clear up in the next week.

I highly recommend this vet. I always tell my friends and family they need to bring their pets to Pet Pal. One of them recently made the switch and she is very pleased with the service and pricing. It can be busy at times, but that is expected. I don't mind waiting for a vet that is kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Smith is hands down the best vet I have experienced, and I shopped around for a while. The pricing is very affordable and I never have to dispute costs at the end of my visit, which was something I was used to at other vets. I have 2 large dogs and they aren't the most well behaved. The staff handles their aggressiveness and some how can get them to calm down most of the time. The vet techs are all so polite and excellent at what they do. I never have issues with the receptionists, I see some customers give them a lot of attitude due to wait times. I think people need to realize this is a walk in clinic, you won't be disappointed when you get back there and meet the vet and his team of techs.

A lady responded and said I didn't need an appointment for a routine check up that they schedule appointments for surgery. She explained to me that I only had to walk in and sign in and they would take me back. It sounds like a quick easy and painless process, right? No! As I walked in to the clinic there was a "dog entrance" and a "cat entrance". I walked in the cat entrance and there's 2 huge Rottweilers sitting in the waiting room where it should be cats only. I walked in and the lady said she would be right with me so I sat down and waited for about 15 minutes. I finally got up and asked if I needed to sign in anywhere and fill out new patient paperwork. She said she was sorry she forgot about signing me in. The young lady sitting next to me said she had been waiting for 2 hours already. 2 hours is ridiculous. A lady walked in with 3 cats at my now, 2 hour mark of sitting and waiting to be seen, and she only needed her cats nails clipped. She basked in the glory of this place and said she loved them so much, they are all so nice and they really love the animals. She mentioned she's been going there for many years now. The fact that she got up and walked out because of how horrible the service was in such a small amount of time speaks volumes. Needless to say I never should have wasted my time with this sorry place. If you do decide to go WITHOUT an appointment be prepared to wait AT LEAST 2 hours minimum.

I asked if I could get 1 or 2 pills to get her thru & she said "We're really busy today - we're a walk-in clinic & can't take the time to do this". Well, I DID in fact WALK-IN. Since my elderly dog can't walk w/o her pill for spinal paralysis, I thought some compassion might be in order. NO - WRONG. It's more important to give a dog a rabies vaccine. I told her how little compassion she showed & she just shrugged. I guess I will be black-listed now, but there were doctors there that could have approved her getting a pill or two.

Also, some of the clientele leave much to be desired; I imagine that they see quite a bit of animal neglect here too, which must be frustrating and disheartening. That's a front desk gig that must be tough, so I actually give them props and much respect.Dr. Smith and the Vet Techs - Adam, Nick and Shannon - are nothing short of wonderful, in my opinion! I have taken my two dogs, Murray and Olive, here for years and think it's the best vet experience in the area. They are compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable. I feel as though my concerns/questions are listened to, taken seriously and addressed. Not a lot of froo-froo, but Pet Pal is affordable, quality, down-to earth veterinary care and I trust them implicitly with the care of my dogs.I am leaving the area soon, so (sadly) my pups just had their last annual check up with Dr. Smith. I wish I could move the clinic with me; I will really miss them and hope I can find a veterinary practice that is as excellent as Pet Pal in our new town!!

Took my dog there for her annual heart worm exam. This is her third such exam at the clinic. After filling out the required paperwork, weighed my dog in and handed the front desk clerk my credit card for the $275.00 charge, my dog was attacked by a poodle that had just entered the front office confines. I immediately separated the dogs. Well I was in for a shocker.
Out comes Dr Smith shouting at the top of his voice at me to "get out of here". I tried explaining the situation to him but he was too consumed with his irrational, arrogant mannerism to listen. Then without witnessing the altercation between the dogs, the lowly paid office clerk, Christina, proceed to label my dog as the aggressor. SMH. I am a responsible pet owner and would never knowingly expose any dog to my dog if she was an aggressive animal. The truth is the only aggression displayed was by Dr Smith. Even threatening to "call the police" if I did not immediately leave. I said, "if your clerk will return my credit card I will leave as you are not the only vet in town". My card was returned and I left. And, I will never ever visit that animal clinic again. Neither will they receive any donation from me again.
On my two previous visits I was fortunate to experience the service of Dr. Long. She is so much more courteous than the arrogant Dr. Smith.

I was looking for a place to vaccinate and spay my darling cat, and when I called this one, they answered right away and told me everything I needed to know. The day of my scheduled appointment, I had to bail due to irrelevant circumstances, and again they answered immediately and were very understanding when I had to reschedule to today. When I arrived, the front desk person addressed me within just a little over a minute of my being there, and just shortly after I filled out the papers she gave me, they got to work on my cat. The man who took my cat in was very nice and gentle with her, and he happily answered my questions about how the surgery would affect her. When I came back for her, she was in her kennel behind the front desk, ready to come home, and I was provided with written instructions on how to handle her. The moment my kitty was back home she was already trying to walk everywhere, despite stumbling and falling from the aftereffects. I'm proud to say that this was the place I chose for her. They were kind and eager to help. 5/5

I have a menagerie and keeping it affordable is important to me.

We had great care for years for our American Eskimo, Harry. In his elder years, he was diagnosed with Cushings. The Doctors were great in making sure that was managed - even if he wanted to bite them! When he had a crisis and has to be put to sleep, the emergency vet was in contact with the Pet Pals vets (even on Christmas) and set us a sympathy card without us notifying them of his passing.
For over two years, I went to the office to get medicine monthly. Usually the office staff was in good spirits- sometimes they seemed overwhelmed. This was even more noticeable when one of Harry's medicines was rescheduled by the federal government and had to be kept locked up. They usually had to figure out where it was.
Overall, reasonable prices- caring staff. They'll keep your baby healthy if you don't expect unreasonable miracles!

Was recommended this place by a friend. I'm watching my friend's dog and noticed that he got tape worms and had to be checked out. He was also was due for his rabies shot. The vet office is very nice and clean. We had no issues booking an appointment for the same day. The receptionist was very sweet and the nurses were fantastic. I was very grateful that they worked with me and the shelter to obtain the dog's paper work as my friend (his owner) was in the hospital. It would've been a great experience, but we had an issue with a vet. The dog is a 6 month old terrier mix (29 pounds). The sweetest dog ever, very submissive and friendly with everyone he meets. Well the vet held him by his collar and got in his face as soon as he walked in into the room. The puppy freaked out and tried to bite him (just to get away, I bet). So the vet threw him down and held him by his throat until the dog peed himself and then when he was let go, ran under the chairs cowering. I was in shock! The sign said to "allow staff restrain animals", so I did. We then quickly got puppy's shots with me putting him on the table and comforting him while a nurse assisted. We got the pills and left. I have no problems going back, but I will make sure that the vet never touches any of my dogs. I only wish I had his name. He's a short male vet with blond hair.

This is the perfect place to take your pet for spay or neutering in my opinion. Dr Long is extremely experienced with performing these procedures. I took my 1 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback here to get spayed. The staff was great and very upfront about costs as well as answering my questions. It's clearly all about the animals at this place and not about fancy waiting rooms or up-selling the customers. Their priorities are in the right place.When we went to pick up our dog, we noticed that she wasn't putting any pressure on her front right paw. The vet tech took our dog back and Dr Andrews quickly examined her in between her busy appointments. Just to be sure, Dr Andrews did an xray on the wrist, free of charge. She came out and explained everything she was doing and suggested keeping our dog very still for the next couple days as well as recommended an emergency vet in case anything happens overnight from the spay or the paw gets worse. I have been bringing my "Zoo" to Dr. Meade at Pet Pal since the clinic opened several years ago. It began as a low-cost spay/neuter/vaccinations clinic but has since expanded to full-services. Because the clinic is associated with a non-profit, no-kill shelter, the prices of services and medications are nearly "at cost". The staff is wonderful...quick to return calls, they will get you in if there is a last minute cancellation, and they will never try to up-sell a product or service. In fact, the staff leans toward natural, homeopathic remedies in some cases. For instance, if your pet needs fish oil, they wont try to sell you on a $20 bottle formulated "just for dogs", they will tell you the dosage and let you pick it up over the counter at walmart. Also, I fully credit Dr. Meade for buying me an extra 18 months with my dog after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He loves animals, treats all of my pets like his own, even making himself available during emergencies. He has met me after hours at the clinic when my elderly cat needed medical supplies and he picked up my sweet old kitty's body when he eventually passed away and I was too upset to drive to drop him off for cremation. Seriously, who DOES that? Recently, the clinic hired a new vet to assist with the workload and she is great too. Bottom line is, it's not about making a profit with this staff, it's all about the animals. I couldnt ask for a better vet!

I absolutely adore the Pet Pal clinic. I had to take my cat in because she had a urinary problem and not only did they get me in the very next day, but when I got there too early, they saw me early and I got out of the office at my appointment time. The vet here is amazing. She is so nice and went out of her way for both me and my cat. She had to make a separate time for me to bring my cat in for a urine sample and even though I didn't have a true appointment - and they were busy, she came out and explained the results of my cat's tests and what I could do to facilitiate her health. I really won't go anywhere else. Not only was the visit inexpensive (compared to other vet offices), but the vet seemed to really care about my cat :)

I wish zero starts were possible. I cannot recommend or trust PetPal, the staff, the careless receptionist named Kristina or the vet Dr. Londono to correctly process my six month Trifexis order paired with 1800petmeds in a timely manner.
Petpal botched my Trifexis order 3 times from 1/18/2023, 2/1/23 and finally 2/10/23. My paperwork says my dog had her heartworm test performed at Petpal on 1/4/23 with Dr. Londono. Christina the receptionist also had mentioned this on the phone. When I placed my 6 month Trifexis flea med order on 1/18 my vet denied it because my dog “needed a heartworm test” before she could approve the script.….Dr. Londono performed the test on 1/4 so why is she having issues with my dog’s negative heartworm test?
All I wanted was a six month flea prevention for my dog. I had to cancel the first 1800petmed order because Petpal took over a week and a half to approve my 1800petmeds script and never contacted me to let me know if they approved my order. They left me in the dark for about fifteen days where I then placed a second order of Trifexis hoping this would push Petpal to realize their error and get on track. Still, no word from Petpal about Trifexis. The second time I ordered 2/1 was denied by Petpal’s vet because of her “missing heart worm test” performed on 1/4. Petpal, as of today, 2/10/23 are requesting that I pay them more money $37 for ANOTHER heartworm test which was performed on 1/4/23 and refuse to honor my past orders placed on 1/18, 2/1 and 2/10 in hopes of getting my dog six month’s worth of flea prevention. You have to wait nearly two weeks for Petpal’s time frame to say yes to 1800petmeds. Petpal doesn’t print or email the heartworm / Trifexis script for me to send to 1800petmeds myself. If I sent it in upon placing my order, it would have been done the right way and quickly.
During my order with 1800petmeds, Petpal never called or emailed me to confirm their acceptance of my heartworm/ Trifexis script. Petpal also rejected a lot of 1800PetMeds phone calls which left me to deal with Petpal myself and play phone tag with them. 1800petmeds emailed me nonstop with updates how Petpal was not picking up their phone calls. Now my dog and my cats have fleas because of Petpal’s CARELESS timeframe. I’ve been dealing with a very careless phone receptionist all day today named Christina. I’ve been on the phone with her on 2/10/23 from 9:34 am to 2:36 pm as well as playing phone tag these past few weeks. My dog Cloud and my cats have to suffer fleas because of the vet and the staff’s carelessness.

I rescued a small chihuahua and had brought it to Petpal Veterinary Clinic for routine bloodwork before having the dog neutered. I did not receive any results on the bloodwork so I called again and again leaving messages in hopes of finding out the results and scheduling an examination. I finally received a call in which the vet tech stated that she had definitely called me, when asked what number she had called, she read off a number that wasn't mine. She then told me that we would have to pay for the bloodwork again. I was very upset, at this point I received a phone call from Scott Daley who set up an appointment for me. I told him the dog was having issues with its leg and he said it is likely a luxating patella, I will let the vet know to look at the leg when the dog comes in for neutering. When I went to the appointment, I told them the dog hadn't eaten, which he is not supposed to. I then asked them to check his knees because the owner of the clinic, Scott Daley, specifically told me he would ask them to do so. Keep in mind, while I set up this appointment a few days prior, my dog was eating, and I told Scott that despite the leg pain he was eating. The vet tech told me the doctor refused to see the dog because he hadn't eaten to which I responded, "He isn't supposed to eat prior to being neutered". So, I called Scott Daley at which point he screamed at me; "You ^&%$#) idiot you told them he hasn't eaten". I could not believe I had just missed an hour of work to be berated for having my dog fast before surgery. Scott even threatened the health of my dog, for which I have filed a complaint with the state veterinary board. Not only did we lose all of the money we spent on examinations to get the dog ready for surgery but we were left feeling unsafe,

I had a recuse, a back yard breeder that was beaten and abused then discarded. Probably because she could no longer have puppies. I went in to have a mammary tumor evaluated and possibly removed. I saw Dr. Smith. He was honest, and was concerned about my Princess's quality of life. I was given truthful answers, and appreciate the way I was talked to, and addressed. A week later I had to return, as she was not getting any better. It was time to let her pass and end any suffering. The female veterinarian was exceptional, as were the vet techs who handled the matter. The front desk person was helpful, and all the staff were kind, very compassionate and allowed me time to grieve. I am very thankful I was able to be helped by the people at this excellent facility. God Bless them all.

Don't ever go here. Vet is competent. Office staff is rude and unprofessional. one of them feels the need to lose your voice messages and emails and flat out lies to you. They will jerk you around on money and their bottom line is what they can get out of you. One of the staff admitted that they jack up the price on the meds to make up for the discounted other services. In the end, no cheaper than anyone else. Staff does not seem to care. They treat you like dirt. Don't trust them.

This place is AWFUL do NOT GO HERE! There are plenty of other low-cost options that have much better management and are better run. My story: I drove down here from Tampa because their previous owner recommended them highly (although they DON'T after this incident). So I put my two kitties in their carriers, stayed the night with them at a friend's in Largo so the drive was shorter. I was told I had an appointment at 7:30 am, so at 6:30am I put my cats back in their carriers and drove down.Well. The place isn't even open till 8. So now I'm sitting around waiting another half hour with two kitties who are both meow-screaming by this point. When I finally got in, I filled out paperwork for them and waited my turn. They got to me pretty quickly, but then they told me that because they had been taken by the previous owner last time, they weren't able to treat them with me as the owner. The receptionist told me it's a "Florida state law"... their previous owner used to be a vet tech and told me there is no such law and they treat pets all the time when they are taken in by a different person, because they understand stuff happens! These people treated me like I was some sort of cat-napper just because they'd previously seen the same cats with a different person. I will be taking my pets elsewhere to be fixed, and if they get knocked up in the meantime, I know who's to blame!

The one star is for the occasional friendly vet tech. I've taken my fosters and rescues here quite a few times, and have been treated with nothing but disrespect for absolutely no reason. The front desk staff talk down to you and are incredibly rude, even with approached with the friendliest of attitudes. Going to the vet is already a difficult time, and I don't think it's too much to ask to have compassionate care at a vet clinic. Not to mention you may be waiting there hours for vaccines since they don't take appointments. There are other significantly more professionally run vet clinics, so my business will be taken elsewhere. Do NOT recommend!!

Refuse to give the script for heartworm that I paid for with the annual exam and heartworm test. Now they want another 30.00 because they did not sell me heartworm meds directly after her exam; she had meds left from last year. So now my dog has to go through rainy season with no heartworm meds because she can not afford to give 30.00 away for no reason other then the Hilter like No Pets Pal will not approve her meds. THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND DO CARE ABOUT YOUR PET!!!! I hate NO PAL PET PALS....

The receptionist was most helpful explaining their process and procedures! The doctor was calmly competent, and tried to give the best care for the most reasonable price.
And since we'd brought in a stray needing surgery that we were trying to find a good home for, they made sure to include all the recovery meds to ensure he was healthy for his new family.
The waiting area is a little small when they get busy.
But it's a top notch veterinary clinic, and part of a wonderful cause!!

My wait was not long. We saw the Vet. She was very thorough and found several things that I was not aware of. I got the medicine 💊 Bear 🐻 needed. I was amazed at the cost. If I would've gone to the vet I have used in the past the cost would have been 3x what they changed me. I was blown away. I will continue to use them. They are outstanding!!! 🐾😂

Where to begin. This place is disorganized chaos. The front desk people are rude and easily confused. No matter when you show up, expect to wait. (Hard for those of us who work not to make an appointment) the only reason I used this place was because the rescue organization partners with them. I called to make a spay appointment and wasn't sure it actually made it to the calendar. We went to another vet who suggested dew claw removal at the time of spay and I left pet pal 3-4 unreturned voicemails and even a detailed email asking if this could be done. Eventually I went in person and they told me it was noted in her record (but no one called me). Fast forward to the day before surgery and I had to call them to confirm drop-off time, when to pull food etc. Usually it's the other way around. Morning of the surgery we got there before they opened at 8 and had to wait in line for 40 minutes. There's no special drop-off place or time for surgery patients like other vets I've been to. Finally it was her time to go back and I had to explain the dew claw removal all over again. Twice. (Please note she had detached rear dews which are prone to ripping.) I also had to pick her up by 430 that day (again most vets are a little more flexible with surgery pick-up and drop-off) at which point the nurse said to bring her back in 3 days to follow up. I preferred to use our other vet and said so but she was insistent I come back that Monday and wait without an appointment. We went to our own vet. And no one from pet pal has even followed up. PS they also overcharged me and by that point I was tired of fighting. The only reason I didn't give this place 1 star is that the vets appear competent. In the end I was pleased with the incisions and grateful for this. I am honestly shocked this place has such a good star rating at this point. I understand that it's high volume, but I'd rather pay a little more to go anywhere else. We won't be back.

The staff is what you want when trusting those worthy of your pet's health/life! Knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, competent, and genuine are just a few words I would use to describe people who are doing the absolute most with what they have to work with. This place runs by donation. I know it's only recommended but I recommend people donate to keep it going. They're true goal is helping your pet. The shelter is also amazing! Opt to adopt! If you don't adopt donate to the shelter! They Foster and care for many animals on a shoestring budget. I will continue to support them and recommend them to everyone I know.

That was the best part....
We asked for a treatment to lower his temperature. Got blood work and fecal test that would be ready in 24 hrs. Nope This is not an emergency veterinarian hospital. We went there during normal business hours. Stopped on Monday 6/4/2018 and would not help us and would not give us our test results saying we did not get them. We paid for them and was on the receipt. All in all this was a terrible experience and they we absolutely no help....
I will not donate, shop, or use Pet Pals service's any more.

I wish they had -1000 stars for this HORRIBLE place!!!!! They almost killed my cat!!! When we took him on Friday with 106 temperature they did no exam, and just gave us antibiotics. We wanted blood work done, and was told it would be 24 hours for the results. The vet told me that if his temperature did not go down by 2, to call her back and let her know. At 2, I called because his temperature had not dropped and he was getting worse. She informed me to take him to the ER and told me that the blood work would NOT be in until Monday ... fast forward to 4 days in the ER, no blood work from Pet Pal, and a $1400 bill later. Today is Monday, I was told by the ER to follow up w Pet pal as soon as they opened, I got up this morning at 6am to be the first one there. They took me back, a different vet came in, and informed me a needed to see a specialist and there was nothing he could do. He wouldn’t even bring my cats 106 temperature DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I received NO blood work or feces sample results they did from Friday, and received no kind words. NOTHING!!! When I left there, I found Noah’s place, took my cat there and they finally got everything under control. I wrote an email to SCOTT DALY about my experience, he called and to my surprise was one of the RUDEST, CONDESCENDING, JERK I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. He told me he would NOT refund my money, and when I said I would see him in court, he told me “Good Luck”. Thank goodness I had him on speaker phone at the vet I was at, all the receptionist heard the way he spoke to me along with the rest of the waiting room. This has been an absolute NIGHTMARE of a weekend, and he didn’t make things any better. How this “man” is in charge of all the lives of these animals is beyond me. This was an horrible experience and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I brought my two dogs in on a walk in basis for their yearly shots. The whole process took an hour and most of that was getting them registered in the system. I will without a doubt bring them here henceforth.

I've taken two of my dogs here for the past 6 years and am happy with Pet Pals animal clinic. The service is affordable and other than no longer offering appointments (I think too many people were no-shows) I'm a happy customer (and so are the dogs). We do our check-ups and vaccines here every year and while some vets in town feel like they're trying to sell you on service and procedures the staff here really seem to want to do what's best for the pets and the owners. One of my dogs has chronic skin issues and some vets would have charged me thousands. I know work with a lot of rescues and patients in financial need and appreciate their work. They're a hugely valued part of the community.

It's a walk in clinic... BUT the care your pet gets is second to none. I had one of our dogs develop a lump that had to be diagnosed and then cut out. Another pet had to have a couple of teeth removed. They have handled surgeries with amazing care and detail. I will NEVER go to another vet as long as they are in business. I estimate 60% the price of the vets with nice waiting areas.

I had never been to this place before today and quite frankly was not sure how this would go because some of the reviews I read had me terrified to go! I brought my min pin in for sores he had on his side and Dr. Cindy was truly amazing! Very patient with me and my little terror of a dog. She spent a lot of time with me and discussed what was going with him and she knew by the paperwork that he also suffered from seizures and this had her quite concerned...we have seen other vets for this problem which cost me $$$ for constant blood work and meds which never helped him. She told me about a Med that needed no blood work monitoring and could help him and would look into the dosage fo the liquid instead of the compounded pill which would be cheaper for me! Also recommended a new prescription dog food made for dogs who had seizures. I was so amazed by her willing to help not only my dog but me as well! The staff and vet tech were also very nice to me and snickers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

If someone didn't have a good grip on a leash there could've been a dead cat; it's really just an accident waiting to happen.Our vet tech/ nurse was absolutely wonderful. Went over everything with me and with my dogs. (Service I would normally expect from a vet office but after everything disappointing me while waiting I was surprised) The veterinarian herself was also nice.Our exam room walls were pretty dirty. It could've been mold, it could've been dog liquids, it could've been anything. When the vet walked in she immediately started coughing and made a comment, "something about this room makes me cough every time" and the exam room door had to be cracked to let out whatever it is in that room so she could work normally.When you think of a doctor's office, which is what a vet office is, you think of sterile and cleanliness. This missed the mark by far. I really was disgusted; it was a stressful experience being year.Like I said before, I know it's a low cost clinic and they're a nonprofit but they still make their money but it doesn't appear to be going into the upkeep of their facility, or cleaning products. For a low cost vet, I still walked out paying over $300 for vaccines, heart worm tests, preventatives, etc for 2 dogs.The 2 stars are really only for the care we received from the vet and her assistant. Everything else is a big 0.

I rescued a puppy that was dumped at a park & discovered later that it couldn't hold food down, which explained why it was so skinny. My regular vet was able to test for worms & a chip, but I had to schedule an appt for Friday to see the doc. So Wednesday, I walked into Pet Pal to have this pup evaluated. They charged $30 for the office visit & $88 for a single view x-ray. I received an Rx but had to refill it at Walgreens. The office visit & x-ray totaled $118. The Rx cost $10 more at Walgreens. PP burned a CD containing the x-ray to take to my regular vet.I took this pup to Gulfport for her Friday office visit. The x-ray on the Pet Pal CD was so poor that Gulfport had to take another. Gulfport's charge was $20 for the same x-ray view that cost $88 @ Pet Pal. At Gulfport, I was charged for medication, fecal exam, x-ray 1 view, & office visit totaling $84, & they clipped this pup's nails for free.I've heard that Pet Pal is a low cost Vet yet they seem to be fleecing their customers. Why would Pet Pal charge over 4x more for an x-ray than Gulfport? Pet Pal refused to reimburse me for any of the inflated x-ray costs & they became defensive. I'm trying to keep this pup out of their system. When I mentioned this, they said that they wouldn't have accepted this dog but that it would 've had to go to animal control. I should've asked why but I suspect it's because the pup may be a lab/pit mix, which may explain the inflated x-ray cost too. The vet at Pet Pal reassured me during the visit that if I chose to euthanize her, that I shouldn't feel bad because it would be humane. They claim to be a no-kill shelter but now I suspect that this pup would've been euthanized if they had taken her.This was my 1st experience with Pet Pal & it will be my last. They aren't cheaper than Gulfport, not even close, & they weren't reasonable. Why did they fleece me when I was trying to rescue a puppy that had been abandoned at a park? I certainly don't look rich.

I recommend this vet 100%. My dog PJ got very sick very fast it was all so overwhelming. He lost 28 pounds in a matter of a week, we didn't know what he had. So we took him to three places before Pet pal and they all kept sending us to a different place because they didn't have enough doctor's there to help us. Finally a vet accepted us however, they saw we weren't really financially stable so they were telling us to put him down. We told them we couldn't possibly do that and when we were leaving a nurse recommended pet pal. They accepted him right away and took x-rays, did a bunch of tests and put him on an IV once they knew what it was. They knew we didn't have a lot of money to offer at the time and worked out an agreement for us. I will never go to another place in St. Petersburg again. And PJ is back to his healthy self.

I don't normally rate vets because let's be honest it is very hard to find an affordable vet that actually cares about your animals. However I found that with Pet Pal. I took my dog in for an ear infection that she had for a while and my vet just couldn't take care of properly. This vet is a walk in clinic and you WILL wait, but who cares? You should know that before you go in and just know that your animal will be cared for when your time comes. Anyways the vet looked at my dogs ear infection under a microscope(something the other vet never cared to do) and was great with my little baby! I will definitely be returning for all my veterinary needs from now on seeing as how it is much cheaper and better quality than my last vet, thank you pet pal!

Exactly 1 week ago, I dropped my cat off here to get spayed. When I picked her up, the vet tech brought my cat, Eva, out to me in the waiting area and my cat was not happy at all. I have never heard her hiss and growl like that before at anyone. I brought her home and she was hunched over and barely walking. I thought this was normal since she just had a major surgery. The doc have me 2 different kinds of pain meds. I gave her pain meds and then my cat went to sleep for the night. In the morning, when she woke up, she was wandering around the room with a limp. I immediately called the vet to ask if this was normal. They said no and to bring her in. I brought her in to see the doctor. The first thing the vet tech said was that Eva "gave her a hard time and she would need the doctor to help handle her." what does that mean?!?? My cat is has never hissed or growled at me. They did an x-ray and there are no broken bones but that still never explained why my cat came home limping. I am not sure if my cat was "hard to deal with" and made the techs use more restraint or what. All I know is that my cat was not limping before she had the spay procedure done and the techs accidentally don't care. This is heart-breaking and there is no justification. Deeply saddened that I will never know what really happen to make my cat come home limping. I'm hoping it is something minor and will clear up in the next week.

I highly recommend this vet. I always tell my friends and family they need to bring their pets to Pet Pal. One of them recently made the switch and she is very pleased with the service and pricing. It can be busy at times, but that is expected. I don't mind waiting for a vet that is kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Smith is hands down the best vet I have experienced, and I shopped around for a while. The pricing is very affordable and I never have to dispute costs at the end of my visit, which was something I was used to at other vets. I have 2 large dogs and they aren't the most well behaved. The staff handles their aggressiveness and some how can get them to calm down most of the time. The vet techs are all so polite and excellent at what they do. I never have issues with the receptionists, I see some customers give them a lot of attitude due to wait times. I think people need to realize this is a walk in clinic, you won't be disappointed when you get back there and meet the vet and his team of techs.

A lady responded and said I didn't need an appointment for a routine check up that they schedule appointments for surgery. She explained to me that I only had to walk in and sign in and they would take me back. It sounds like a quick easy and painless process, right? No! As I walked in to the clinic there was a "dog entrance" and a "cat entrance". I walked in the cat entrance and there's 2 huge Rottweilers sitting in the waiting room where it should be cats only. I walked in and the lady said she would be right with me so I sat down and waited for about 15 minutes. I finally got up and asked if I needed to sign in anywhere and fill out new patient paperwork. She said she was sorry she forgot about signing me in. The young lady sitting next to me said she had been waiting for 2 hours already. 2 hours is ridiculous. A lady walked in with 3 cats at my now, 2 hour mark of sitting and waiting to be seen, and she only needed her cats nails clipped. She basked in the glory of this place and said she loved them so much, they are all so nice and they really love the animals. She mentioned she's been going there for many years now. The fact that she got up and walked out because of how horrible the service was in such a small amount of time speaks volumes. Needless to say I never should have wasted my time with this sorry place. If you do decide to go WITHOUT an appointment be prepared to wait AT LEAST 2 hours minimum.

Very disappointed. These are our regular vets & I went in today to get a refill. I was told 24 - 48 hours & they would call. I asked if I could get 1 or 2 pills to get her thru & she said "We're really busy today - we're a walk-in clinic & can't take the time to do this". Well, I DID in fact WALK-IN. Since my elderly dog can't walk w/o her pill for spinal paralysis, I thought some compassion might be in order. NO - WRONG. It's more important to give a dog a rabies vaccine. I told her how little compassion she showed & she just shrugged. I guess I will be black-listed now, but there were doctors there that could have approved her getting a pill or two.

I will admit that Reception can come off as a bit rough around the edges - but I chalk that up to the fact that it's a walk-in clinic, which I'm sure is REALLY stressful. Also, some of the clientele leave much to be desired; I imagine that they see quite a bit of animal neglect here too, which must be frustrating and disheartening. That's a front desk gig that must be tough, so I actually give them props and much respect.Dr. Smith and the Vet Techs - Adam, Nick and Shannon - are nothing short of wonderful, in my opinion! I have taken my two dogs, Murray and Olive, here for years and think it's the best vet experience in the area. They are compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable. I feel as though my concerns/questions are listened to, taken seriously and addressed. Not a lot of froo-froo, but Pet Pal is affordable, quality, down-to earth veterinary care and I trust them implicitly with the care of my dogs.I am leaving the area soon, so (sadly) my pups just had their last annual check up with Dr. Smith. I wish I could move the clinic with me; I will really miss them and hope I can find a veterinary practice that is as excellent as Pet Pal in our new town!!

Took my dog there for her annual heart worm exam. This is her third such exam at the clinic. After filling out the required paperwork, weighed my dog in and handed the front desk clerk my credit card for the $275.00 charge, my dog was attacked by a poodle that had just entered the front office confines. I immediately separated the dogs. Well I was in for a shocker.
Out comes Dr Smith shouting at the top of his voice at me to "get out of here". I tried explaining the situation to him but he was too consumed with his irrational, arrogant mannerism to listen. Then without witnessing the altercation between the dogs, the lowly paid office clerk, Christina, proceed to label my dog as the aggressor. SMH. I am a responsible pet owner and would never knowingly expose any dog to my dog if she was an aggressive animal. The truth is the only aggression displayed was by Dr Smith. Even threatening to "call the police" if I did not immediately leave. I said, "if your clerk will return my credit card I will leave as you are not the only vet in town". My card was returned and I left. And, I will never ever visit that animal clinic again. Neither will they receive any donation from me again.
On my two previous visits I was fortunate to experience the service of Dr. Long. She is so much more courteous than the arrogant Dr. Smith.

I was looking for a place to vaccinate and spay my darling cat, and when I called this one, they answered right away and told me everything I needed to know. The day of my scheduled appointment, I had to bail due to irrelevant circumstances, and again they answered immediately and were very understanding when I had to reschedule to today. When I arrived, the front desk person addressed me within just a little over a minute of my being there, and just shortly after I filled out the papers she gave me, they got to work on my cat. The man who took my cat in was very nice and gentle with her, and he happily answered my questions about how the surgery would affect her. When I came back for her, she was in her kennel behind the front desk, ready to come home, and I was provided with written instructions on how to handle her. The moment my kitty was back home she was already trying to walk everywhere, despite stumbling and falling from the aftereffects. I'm proud to say that this was the place I chose for her. They were kind and eager to help. 5/5

I took a stray cat there for affordable neuter, blood work, vaccines etc....they did a great job...turns out the cat tested positive for Feline Aids...they gave advice based on hysteria almost....giving me far fetched options like flying him to a no kill shelter out of state for sick cats...the cat now lives peacefully in my home with my other cats..I am taking a very small chihuahua there soon for a neutering...I hope I don't experience what Yana did.....The prices are fantastic compared to other vets. I have a menagerie and keeping it affordable is important to me.

I am saddened at how the quality of their vet care has lowered considerably since I started taking my cats here. Yes,, it is true about the desk staff too. And their prices are not cheap. I used to feel good about coming here and gave generous donations. Now I drive to Seminole as I have reconnected to the brilliant vet who used to work there. They would not tell me where she went. The new vet would not even examine my cat. Horrible.

We had great care for years for our American Eskimo, Harry. In his elder years, he was diagnosed with Cushings. The Doctors were great in making sure that was managed - even if he wanted to bite them! When he had a crisis and has to be put to sleep, the emergency vet was in contact with the Pet Pals vets (even on Christmas) and set us a sympathy card without us notifying them of his passing.
For over two years, I went to the office to get medicine monthly. Usually the office staff was in good spirits- sometimes they seemed overwhelmed. This was even more noticeable when one of Harry's medicines was rescheduled by the federal government and had to be kept locked up. They usually had to figure out where it was.
Overall, reasonable prices- caring staff. They'll keep your baby healthy if you don't expect unreasonable miracles!

I have lived here almost 2 years and have gone to PetPal many times. It's definitely the cheapest vet in the area and their service is reliable. Great organization that does great work!

Was recommended this place by a friend. I'm watching my friend's dog and noticed that he got tape worms and had to be checked out. He was also was due for his rabies shot. The vet office is very nice and clean. We had no issues booking an appointment for the same day. The receptionist was very sweet and the nurses were fantastic. I was very grateful that they worked with me and the shelter to obtain the dog's paper work as my friend (his owner) was in the hospital. It would've been a great experience, but we had an issue with a vet. The dog is a 6 month old terrier mix (29 pounds). The sweetest dog ever, very submissive and friendly with everyone he meets. Well the vet held him by his collar and got in his face as soon as he walked in into the room. The puppy freaked out and tried to bite him (just to get away, I bet). So the vet threw him down and held him by his throat until the dog peed himself and then when he was let go, ran under the chairs cowering. I was in shock! The sign said to "allow staff restrain animals", so I did. We then quickly got puppy's shots with me putting him on the table and comforting him while a nurse assisted. We got the pills and left. I have no problems going back, but I will make sure that the vet never touches any of my dogs. I only wish I had his name. He's a short male vet with blond hair.

Absolutely love this place they are some of the most caring people I own 3 great danes and this is the only place that I bring them to they take such good care of my animals and they are more than friendly not to mention they are extremely well priced. I had a great dane that passed away and they really took such good care of duke during his final day .they went above and beyond but they were supposed to do after he left us. they sent us a paw print of his taking it after he had passed on and sent to us with a poem in a box. I have so much respect for all of them and for anyone say anything bad I don't understand that at all I've never had a bad experience in there ever

This is the perfect place to take your pet for spay or neutering in my opinion. Dr Long is extremely experienced with performing these procedures. I took my 1 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback here to get spayed. The staff was great and very upfront about costs as well as answering my questions. It's clearly all about the animals at this place and not about fancy waiting rooms or up-selling the customers. Their priorities are in the right place.When we went to pick up our dog, we noticed that she wasn't putting any pressure on her front right paw. The vet tech took our dog back and Dr Andrews quickly examined her in between her busy appointments. Just to be sure, Dr Andrews did an xray on the wrist, free of charge. She came out and explained everything she was doing and suggested keeping our dog very still for the next couple days as well as recommended an emergency vet in case anything happens overnight from the spay or the paw gets worse. She was very caring and calm. This place goes the extra mile to ensure the dog leaves thoroughly cared for! I will certainly return here and recommend to all my pet owner friends.

I have been bringing my "Zoo" to Dr. Meade at Pet Pal since the clinic opened several years ago. It began as a low-cost spay/neuter/vaccinations clinic but has since expanded to full-services. Because the clinic is associated with a non-profit, no-kill shelter, the prices of services and medications are nearly "at cost". The staff is wonderful...quick to return calls, they will get you in if there is a last minute cancellation, and they will never try to up-sell a product or service. In fact, the staff leans toward natural, homeopathic remedies in some cases. For instance, if your pet needs fish oil, they wont try to sell you on a $20 bottle formulated "just for dogs", they will tell you the dosage and let you pick it up over the counter at walmart. Also, I fully credit Dr. Meade for buying me an extra 18 months with my dog after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He loves animals, treats all of my pets like his own, even making himself available during emergencies. He has met me after hours at the clinic when my elderly cat needed medical supplies and he picked up my sweet old kitty's body when he eventually passed away and I was too upset to drive to drop him off for cremation. Seriously, who DOES that? Recently, the clinic hired a new vet to assist with the workload and she is great too. Bottom line is, it's not about making a profit with this staff, it's all about the animals. I couldnt ask for a better vet!

I absolutely adore the Pet Pal clinic. I had to take my cat in because she had a urinary problem and not only did they get me in the very next day, but when I got there too early, they saw me early and I got out of the office at my appointment time. The vet here is amazing. She is so nice and went out of her way for both me and my cat. She had to make a separate time for me to bring my cat in for a urine sample and even though I didn't have a true appointment - and they were busy, she came out and explained the results of my cat's tests and what I could do to facilitiate her health. I really won't go anywhere else. Not only was the visit inexpensive (compared to other vet offices), but the vet seemed to really care about my cat :)
