DO NOT USE FOR EUTHANASIA. SO HORRIBLE!!!!! I took my 20 year old cat in to have him put gently to sleep because it was time for him to rest. When I called, they were perfectly pleasant and told me that I would need to fill out some paperwork. I said that was fine, but I wanted to fill it out after, because I wanted to spend time with my cat beforehand. The lady agreed. When I got there, they got me right inside with a mask on (COVID) and right into a room. And that was where the good service stopped. While I was in the room with my cat, they made me wait 5 minutes, which is understandable. The vet came in and told me the process, which was fine, but then the technicians came in and the doctor left, and they were so rude and told me I needed to fill paperwork out RIGHT NOW. I said that was insane and I wasn't leaving to fill out paperwork, she said I could fill it out in the room, so I had to leave my cat all alone on the table to fill out the paperwork that they told me that I could fill out AFTER. Then when I was done, it took them 10 minutes to come back into the room, while my cat is lying there suffering! Right outside my door, the technicians are giggling and laughing and carrying on, while I'm crying my eyes out with my cat slowly dying in my arms. There was a dog barking, too. It was horrible! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Then the girl comes back in with MORE paperwork, which just needs a signature, so I signed it and told her to just GET THE DOCTOR. It has now been 30 minutes! So she leaves and 10 minutes later, the two VERY unprofessional technicians come back in and ask for PAYMENT UP FRONT! She has a little card reader and tells me that I need to pay RIGHT NOW. With my cat DYING on the table, and no one in that place will just HELP END HIS SUFFERING! So I give her the info and she enters it wrong and tells me it's declined. I told her to do it again and it goes through and they leave the room. They come back in about 5 minutes later and miss my cat's vein like 25 times! It was HORRIFIC. But they finally get the catheter in and tell me "That's why we take the cats in the back to do this." So you can stab my cat with WAY LESS CARE than you do while you're in front of me? This lady didn't give a CRAP about my cat! Finally they get the catheter in and the vet comes in. The vet was the ONLY good thing about this HORRIBLE experience. She was kind and gentle and injected my cat to stop his heart. But a minute later, he takes a few breaths and the vet tells me it's normal, that she'll give him another dose. But the needle that comes out this second time doesn't look anything like the solution that they injected the first time.. instead of being translucent and pink, it's pink and white, almost soapy looking, with bubbles. She injected my cat one more time and then went to get a box. She comes back with the box and there is NO WAY my cat was fitting inside that tiny little box. So I ended up carrying him out in the towel I brought him in. The whole ordeal took AN HOUR. I immediately took him to my own vet (who could not get me in, due to the vet being in surgery until 12pm) to have him cremated by professionals. DISGUSTING. Do NOT use these people for humane euthanasia. I use Northwest Vet on 66th Street. They have put a foster cat to sleep and were amazing. One simple shot into the leg and that was it. And they got payment once I was ready, after my foster cat was gone and I had stopped crying. Read Less
