I had such trouble finding a vet around this new town for my dog because I was mainly trying to get her spayed but since she had started her senior year about a year ago, most of the vets wanted to charge me $600 minimum. That number seemed a bit out of the ballpark so I called around some more and found one that seemed right. I actually found them by walking in. My boyfriend is a regular at Hair Rock Cafe and I decided to take a stroll around Emerald Plaza with my dog. My dog is now a patient of Dr. Davis, who is an alternative vet other than the main DVM. The young lady at the front desk is very informative, patient, and friendly. The doctors seem to be very caring about taking care of a life rather than the money. They offer up to 3 types of wellness programs for your dogs and cats; Silver, Gold, and Platinum. There is a brochure that you can take home with you to review which includes vaccines, visits, package detail, a chart of what each package can benefit for your pet, the prices, and savings. The vet may have made some minor changes to the wellness programs so be sure to call in and ask to make sure.I brought my dog in to have her microchipped with HomeAgain and the vet covers the first year fee. After that, it is the owner's responsibility. The annual membership fee is less than $20 and it's worth it because you never know what could happen. Better safe than sorry! This morning I just dropped her off at the clinic for surgery. I trust the ladies there. They know what they are doing and how to get things done. The clinic offers many things so be sure to stop in and see what benefits they have to offer for your pooch.
