Had a great experience here with Dr Holtsinger and staff. We are fostering a Frenchie, Todd, who had major respiratory problems. He underwent surgery on his soft palate almost 2 weeks ago and although he had some complications he came around and is doing very well now.  We live 90 minutes away from clinic and we were welcome at any time we could make it up there, as he was there for 4 days.  Very grateful for the great care and love all of the staff showed Todd and for the extra time Dr Holtsinger gave to him.  Will highly recommend this office! The vet techs were very kind and the vet was very helpful. My only problem with this visit is that I felt like I was taken advantage of financially. I was lucky enough that my dog only needed fluids, a shot to help with nausea, and gas medication. I was sold 3 gas x pills for $33. If I would have known I could have given my dog gas x I would have gone to CVS and bought a pack for less than half of that! I understand that is how they make a profit but after spending over $400 on a visit, x Ray, and shots I would appreciate being told I could save some money buying the medicine else where. Read Less

I called ahead and the second we walked in the door she was whisked away for top notch treatment from Dr. Miller. After an unfortunate incident the next day at our regular veterinarians our dog escaped and was on the run for close to 12 hours. Once we found her we arrived back at the ER at 1am to another group of fantastic doctors and staff. They have cared for our girl for days, she has steadily improved and I will HIGHLY recommend this hospital! Dr.’s Mettee, Miller, West, Hanson and techs Casey, Steven and Felix gave us peace of mind throughout an incredibly difficult few days. Read Less

We brought our dog in at midnight because he was so lethargic and not his normal self. We were very concerned. All the staff were very friendly and concerned as we were. It was comforting knowing they were doing what they could to try and figure out what was wrong with him. Thankfully ruled out - that he didn't swallow anything harmful and was able to get medication for his diarrhea. Turns out - the food we were changing him over to was a lot fuller than his old food and he just wouldn't stop eating. Anyways, he is doing great now and I am very thankful that there was a place that we could take him to - to make sure he truly was ok. Read Less

My female Lab , Keely had been bitten by another Dog ( a pit bull) last Sunday we took her to the pet ER where they helped her out immediately... she ended up with a dozen stitches and a drainage tube.. thanks goodness they had been there she could've died. Our dog was very sick over the weekend and they took such great care of her. She ended up having pancreatitis and dehydration. The drs there stayed in touch with me and the techs were wonderful with her. Even hand feed her when she didn’t want to eat. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. Hopefully my dog won’t get that sick again, but if I had to go back I wouldn’t hesitate. I just wish they were more affordable. I think the price of care was way overboard. Read Less

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I have been several times in the last two years as unfortunately my dogs only seem to get sick or injured on Saturday nights for some unknown reason, sigh. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, prompt, and kind. Diagnosis, treatment, and options are always well explained and I feel like they truly deserve a shout out for their good work. So impressed with the service and care that my cat received after suffering a stroke. Amanda Miller, the vet who was there , was the best at supplying no pressure alternatives with no guilt.  My cat is resting comfortably at home and doing well.  Great to know that they are nearby with compassionate service! Very fast and with a pleasantly strong sense of urgency and empathy! One of our little kitties managed to take a taste of a poisonous toad and we had to rush her to Pet Emergency! While there I encountered three or four employees and they all handled our situation with speed and class, all while dealing with much more tragic cases than ours. I just had the most amazing experience at this emergency clinic! My dog got very ill while I was visiting my parents in Stuart. I was unbelievably nervous about seeing an unfamiliar Veterinarian, but  Dr. Mettee immediately resolved this very stressful situation with ease. I am so thankful I found this clinic. I rushed my dog to this hospital. We are on vacation and out of state. My dog Harley had a blockage in his intestines. From the moment we called till the call that he was out of surgery we were treated with the upmost care, respect and concern for our well being as the owners. I was hysterical the entire process but the staff handled it well walking me through several options during the decision process whether to operate or take other measures. I was given a complete game plan on all that they were going to do and the costs associated with all the procedures. Harley was bought for me by my husband for having some miscarriages to mend the pain. He is a very special dog and the whole staff including the front desk and nurses treated him with knowing how important he was. I believe our doctors name was Karen. She made the decision to treat him also for the stomach tourting that happens frequently with dobermans as an insurance that we would never have to worry about that. She spent 20 minutes on the phone with me when her shift ended to go over his diet and everything that I had the slightest concern about was answered. I've never been treated as amazing as these staff members did at Pet Emergency. I don't think they understand the impact they leave on others lives. They aren't just dogs they are family, and this is how the whole staff treats these animals, like they are just as important as children. I couldn't be more grateful for these people.. I am forever thankful for all of them. I wish there was something I could do to repay them all. Thank you so much everyone that took part in this process. We have visited this ER a few times with our cat. The staff have always been courteous and professional and the treatment options have ranged from triage to full-on diagnostic and treatment in prep to transfer to our vet. They also provided extremely compassionate support when I arrived with my hysterical daughter and her already-departed rabbit. Though they don't treat exotic pets (rabbit), the care and comfort shown to my daughter was wonderful and I am thankful beyond words for that. Read Less

I was in the area visiting my mother with my 2 kids and our new 8 week old Caviler King Charles puppy. Sunday at 3am our puppy Leia woke up coughing and sneezing. I stayed up with her the rest of the time. I called Pet Emergency and they advised to bring her in right away. We were see immediately. She had a cold that had not yet spread to her lungs. Leia was given antibiotics. Later that after noon Leia was feeling 75% better and back to playing and eating. Read Less

They helped stitch our baby girl's wound back up (@4:30AM) after she escaped the "donut" around her neck and managed to eat the stitches she had from surgery three days prior. Definitely would recommend going here for an emergency. Read Less

Drove 30 minutes only to be treated RUDE the second I walked in the door. Barbara DOES NOT need to be front desk. Not spending hundreds there when there are other ERs we can go to. I left after 2 minutes of dealing with one of the most rude receptionist I have ever dealt with. I feel sorry for people having to deal with her when they are most upset about their sick pet. WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. if she was rude and nasty, imagine what the rest are like! Read Less

This clinic is terrible. The vet was a younger gentleman and extremely rude. Instead of speaking to us with compassion he acted as though we owed him something. Truly arrogant. Side note: our pet passed a week later after over a thousand dollar bill. Thanks guy Read Less

This is a very nice facility. The doctors are very knowledgable and the best thing about this facility is that they are open on weeekends! I was able to pick up an emergency ration of a medicated dog food for my pup. Other emergency clinics did not have food or were not open in the area. This is my go to place in stuart when I have an emergency. Read Less
