We used Stuart animal hospital for 15 years. We brought one our Great Danes to the hospital in November with one of he front legs bothering her. Dr Ortiz treated her with pain medicine. He took lots of X-rays.After we brought her in several times, Dr Ortiz suggested we take her to a specialist. The doctor squeezed her leg took one X-ray and said she has bone cancer. When I said "Why didn't Dr Ortiz find it" his answer was we all miss one. We immediately changed vets. We took another dog to the new vet today. Dr Ortiz said she has Cushings disease. The new vet asked which of the two variations of the Disease Ester has. One has much more severe consequences. There is no indication in Ester's history that suggests Dr. Ortiz even knows about the two forms.

I lived in Stuart many years but I also visited another state several times a year and I had a vet there as well. Dr Ortiz is great but I had a serious issue with Dr Katz. I had a senior dog with multiple issues and during one visit Katz recommended an antibiotic for an issue I already had medication for. This guy went nuts on me insulting me in the reception area in front of his staff and other clients because I refused the antibiotic. He has a god complex. He went so far as to accuse me of probably not even having my dog on heart worm meds. I offered the phone number of my other vet which he refused and continued his tirade. Saying if this was you you'd be at the ER in a minute. I never went back and I never got an apology. The most unprofessional behavior I have ever encountered. It was extremely upsetting.

I have been taking my dogs to Stuart Animal Hospital for over 20 years. The vets always take a lot of time to discuss the health of the dogs and any issues. The wait is minimal and they don't double book. When I'm out of town and need medicine, they will mail it to me. I feel like family there.

When my Chihuahua contracted pancreatitis a few weeks ago, my family feared for her life. She was so sick that she refused food and water and lay listless around the house. Dr Ortiz took her under his wing and nursed her back to health over several days in his hospital. When one treatment didn't work, he didn't give up on her and kept trying until he found one that did. I really believe that our little one would not have survived her illness if it were not for the personal, exceptional care she received from Dr Ortiz and the entire staff at Stuart Animal Hospital.

My dog and cat have been long time patients at Stuart Animal Hospital. Both vets, Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Katz will always have your pet's best interest at heart. They and their staff truly care for the animals, they're patient, understanding and compassionate. I feel better taken care of at their office than at my general practitioner, they will take the time to explain a diagnoses to its full extent and provide you with every option for treatment. I no longer live in the area but continue to take my pets to them despite the hour drive each way, they're worth it. Thank you so much for many years of great care to my furry loved ones!

Dr. Ortiz has been a wonderful vet and friend to my 6 dogs he has had to deal with over the past 20ish years. I know I own a room in that building with the thousands of dollars I've spent on my dog's healthcare. But I wouldn't trust any other vet with my dog's care except these two amazing vets. They've been there for me in good times and sad times. And I cannot express how compassionate and caring the docs and entire staff are. Went to the Stuart Animal Hospital for my first visit today with my dog, Jake. I was so impressed with the whole visit. We were greeted upon entering and were taken back to see the doctor within minutes. Dr Ortiz provided great care to Jake and took a ton of time answering questions and giving me lots of education on my dog's diagnosis. We have been trying to find answers to Jake's health problems for over six years and in one visit I feel we've made substantial progress!! Thank you Dr Ortiz and all your staff for helping us. Most importantly, I thank God for directing me to you.

Dr Ortiz took her under his wing and nursed her back to health over several days in his hospital. When one treatment didn't work, he didn't give up on her and kept trying until he found one that did. I really believe that our little one would not have survived her illness if it were not for the personal, exceptional care she received from Dr Ortiz and the entire staff at Stuart Animal Hospital.

My dog and cat have been long time patients at Stuart Animal Hospital. Both vets, Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Katz will always have your pet's best interest at heart. They and their staff truly care for the animals, they're patient, understanding and compassionate. I feel better taken care of at their office than at my general practitioner, they will take the time to explain a diagnoses to its full extent and provide you with every option for treatment. I no longer live in the area but continue to take my pets to them despite the hour drive each way, they're worth it. Thank you so much for many years of great care to my furry loved ones!

The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Ortiz is knowledge and genuinely cares about his patients and their families. Wouldn't take our fur babies anywhere else!

Dr. Ortiz has been a wonderful vet and friend to my 6 dogs he has had to deal with over the past 20ish years. I know I own a room in that building with the thousands of dollars I've spent on my dog's healthcare. But I wouldn't trust any other vet with my dog's care except these two amazing vets. They've been there for me in good times and sad times. And I cannot express how compassionate and caring the docs and entire staff are. Went to the Stuart Animal Hospital for my first visit today with my dog, Jake. I was so impressed with the whole visit. We were greeted upon entering and were taken back to see the doctor within minutes. Dr Ortiz provided great care to Jake and took a ton of time answering questions and giving me lots of education on my dog's diagnosis. We have been trying to find answers to Jake's health problems for over six years and in one visit I feel we've made substantial progress!! Thank you Dr Ortiz and all your staff for helping us.
