Totally disappointed with my experience at this location. Where do I begin...1) Petland in Pembroke Pines sent me to Sunset Animal Hospital knowing full well that they do not honor the their particular discount set up. They should have sent me to Pou Veterinary Group in Kendall. 2) On the day of our visit the office was PACKED and we where not seen until 1.5 hours after our scheduled appointment time.3) When we finally got in to see the vet the assistance did not speak English well at all so it was very difficult for me to understand anything that she was saying, but from what I could make out were the numerous fees associated with the visits and options to sign up for different services and "saving" plans.4) When we finally got to see the Veterinary, my experience mirrored my experience with the assistance, minus the language barrier. The Dr proceeded to tell me about the numerous fees associated with THIS visit and future visits. They spent very little time with my puppy, but spend loads of time discussing finances.My overall experience was not good, to say the least. While I completely understand the financial aspects of health care, for humans and our beloved pets, I was totally put off by the staff in this office. I am a seasoned health care administrator so the financial piece to this puzzle is not lost on me, BUT my impression is that the staff was more concerned with pushing their financial agenda then tending to my sweet baby girl. I am a brand new puppy owner, my baby girl is the first dog that I have ever had the pleasure of raising and it is my belief that the staff took advantage of this fact. I think they thrive off of people who do not yet have the knowledge of the care needed for certain animals, namely puppies, so they just push all types of medical stuff at you to intimidate and scare you into buying whatever service or medication they push on you. When we left there my puppy was diagnosed with a cold and prescribed 2 different medications and I was told that I would need to bring her back in 2 weeks for a recheck. The length of time that we waited to see the Dr compared to the time they actually spent with my baby girl was laughable. The Dr also prescribed some heart worm medication but, did not take adequate time to explain to me how to correctly apply the medication so I have no intention of giving it to my puppy until I have better knowledge of how to do it, as I do not want to do in correctly. I was completely overwhelmed when I left that office. Maybe this office works well with it's repeat customers, but if you are a new customer and DEFINITELY if you are new to the world of pets in general, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED ANIMAL TO THIS OFFICE.It's sad to say, but this experience has totally shaken my faith in Veterinary offices. I will start the process of finding a new vet today!

This place is so wonderful. When you walk in your greeted by Cristal and Lisa. They are very friendly and informative. My Frenchie was very sick when I got her and had to take her here for treatment. Dr Polit was very caring and informative, as well. The staff in the back (Andrew, Carissa, and Yvonne) gave direct care to my dog and were all very kind and patient when explaining treatment's. First off, I have to say that the people here are so nice and friendly. Never had a bad experience with anyone on the staff and they are super clean. However, they charge sooooooo much money compared to other vets, it is insane! I was pretty clueless considering this was out first dog. My dog was having a skin issue and I had to take her there for 3 consecutive visits for a follow up. Every visit she needed another medication or shot. The final visit her skin was cleared and the vet asked me how her ears were. I wasn't sure why she asked that, and she followed up by saying in the notes from the previous visit she had an ear infection. So she gave me more medication and asked for ANOTHER follow up visit. At that visit I also inquired about a spay and received a quote for almost $900. When I told a friend about it, she said that was insane and to call around. I took our dog to another vet and it was done for $250. This year going to a new vet, we haven't even spent 1/4 of what I spent at Sunset in a year. They offer an insurance plan to give you a discount but the prices are still well above any other vet. Again, super friendly and clean environment, but it is unfortunate how much they are taking advantage of people who are caring for their pets and robbing them :(

If you were looking for fantastic veterinarian you've come to the right place! Dr. Cristina Polit and her staff at Sunset Animal Hospital are wonderful. Dr. Polit is a dedicated, patient and knowledgeable doctor. She went above and beyond her duties to help me with my bunny. She answered all my questions and didn't make me feel uncomfortable by asking more questions. Her assistant Jenna was very helpful also. She answered my questions and also cut my bunny's toenails. Shannon the receptionist was also helpful with my bunny's needs. So if anyone's looking for a great veterinarian you know who to call. SUNSET ANIMAL HOSPITAL!

My pet was sick and she wants to charge me $1,000.00 to $2,000.oo and I told her that I'm not let my dog over there; she gets soo angry that I took my dog to another place where I pay $250.00 and my dog is really in good shape.

They said her hip was dislocated and charged us about $1,000 pretty much just for x-rays and blood work since that was all they really did besided itemize everything so they coukd overcharge. They then claimed the only way my dog would get better was through surgery that they wanted to charge an additional $3,200 or $2,800 with a discount and "good luck finding a more affordable rate" was what they said. I found a reliable clinic that would do the same surgery for $900 but this vet was nice and honest enough to let us know that surgery was not necessary yet. Now 5 days later my dog is walking fine no surgery necessary. IN ESSENCE, DON'T TRUST WHAT THEY SAY GET A SECOND OPINION AND RATE.

Getting a new puppy can be expensive. And if your like me, you think that the money spending is over after you purchase the dog. However when you go for the vet visit you learn more money is spent. The vaccines and check up's can add up quick. This vet had an AMAZING package deal to get your puppy through their shots at the lowest price I could find. I shopped and called 6 different vets, and Sunset Animal Hospital was by far the best deal. Not to mention the Veterinarian herself along with her staff are top-quality caring individuals. The office, clinic and kennel areas are extremely clean. For all your pet needs come here. Thank you Sunset Animal Hospital!

For a 6 month supply they charged me $123 but I found it online by $68 and with FREE SHIPPING, same with other medicine, it cost me $57 but I found it online for $27 and I keep counting... we ending paying almost $500. I know this Vet thing is a business but come on, give me a break!!! My suggestion would be go to a more honest place with reasonable prices where they not charge you for the air your breath.

We went for one visit we were sold some type of plan which is a complete rip-off especially for a young dog like ours the next day I reviewed it as at the office your kind of nervous it was basically double what normal care would have been I went back and got a refund they also goofed up his rabies vaccinations dates. winded up having and emergency and had to go to leader Animal Hospital in Cooper City we have been going there since it is a wonderful facility very sophisticated equipment and surgeons when you go for regular visits they never try to upsell you anything my last visit was $63 and I was told not to bring him back for a year they never push anything on you

I have waited over an hour to get to a room then waited on the room to almost an hour..2/there is obvious discord with the employees in the back I can hear them upset or arguing.... and they are all good techs 3/the front desk is overwhelmed and the check out process is way too long .... I would love the give this place a higher rating since the people are great but after watching dogs fight in waiting rooms I am hoping they clean up the process and streamline a system

Easy to find. I checked my dog in to her appointment and they asked for my dogs medical records. I liked that. Most clinics I've been to don't even bother to ask. The waiting area was clean very nice and didn't smell. Got called to the back they told them why I was there and they checked up on her. She had to have fecal and blood test. Turns out my dog had a worm. They brought me to the back to look at her sample under a microscope. Now this part of the review is just my all people are bad point of view but for all I know that sample of the worm is just something they have set up back there similar to the pictures of different worms on the wall to show people and say "hey, your dog has worms wanna see?" But I don't have a degree or the capability to test my own dog. So I paid for the medication. Overall my dog had a great experience at this clinic.
Staff was friendly place was clean dog got the care she needed.

Today we had our first appointment with Dr. Polit for a full check up and vaccines. I am absolutely in love with this place! The staff is super friendly and caring, they took their time explaining everything to me (I ask a lot questions when it comes to my dogs health) and they were sweet and gentle. I live in brickell and it was totally worth the drive. Thank you!! :)

Having bulldogs is always a challenge finding a vet that understands their unique needs and Dr. Polit is that veterinarian! She knows bulldogs because she has her own bulldogs and her tenderness and compassion with them really impressed me from day 1! I will never bring my fur babies anywhere else! And the vet techs really are top notch! They care about their patients and the humans that are with them! I just can't say enough great words about Sunset Animal Hospital!

After rescuing a little cat and looking for some medical attention the day before Thanksgiving at almost closing time, their team of people made the great exception to take us both Coco and I. The day before Thanksgiving, everyone wants to go home and rest. On the contrary, they were very welcoming in helping us out. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. I called for two services, nail clip and Boratella and they tagged on all these other prices and exams!! Not the first time,I should have learned , but when you want to take of your pet,( which is an extension of your family) you hope that the staff and establishment would at least be consistent and be honest. Really no stars is more like it !! I'm over this place!! Every time I take my dog there,like someone mentioned earlier, its always a different price. I feel like I am being hustled!! I called for two services, nail clip and Boratella and they tagged on all these other prices and exams!! Not the first time,I should have learned , but when you want to take of your pet,( which is an extension of your family) you hope that the staff and establishment would at least be consistent and be honest. So disappointing!!Will not be back there again.

I took my English bulldog there this afternoon and I have to say I was very impressed. The staff was super nice and very friendly. The tech took my dog out to do her business and even wiped her down for me. They were all very knowledgable, didn't suggest anything that wasn't necessary and a plus.. It's affordable!! I would definitely suggest this animal hospital to anyone!

Thank you Dr Polit, Lili and Sam- my dog came in with soo many problems and left happy healthy and on her way to recovery. I feel so blessed to have found Sunset Vet- signed up for the savings plan and now I save on her meds. Lola loves her doc - so much compassion. Plus the place has wifi so I can work in the lobby while she's getting her services. A must visit and totally worth the drive. Thanks again !!!!

Totally disappointed with my experience at this location. Where do I begin...1) Petland in Pembroke Pines sent me to Sunset Animal Hospital knowing full well that they do not honor the their particular discount set up. They should have sent me to Pou Veterinary Group in Kendall. 2) On the day of our visit the office was PACKED and we where not seen until 1.5 hours after our scheduled appointment time.3) When we finally got in to see the vet the assistance did not speak English well at all so it was very difficult for me to understand anything that she was saying, but from what I could make out were the numerous fees associated with the visits and options to sign up for different services and "saving" plans.4) When we finally got to see the Veterinary, my experience mirrored my experience with the assistance, minus the language barrier. The Dr proceeded to tell me about the numerous fees associated with THIS visit and future visits. They spent very little time with my puppy, but spend loads of time discussing finances.My overall experience was not good, to say the least. While I completely understand the financial aspects of health care, for humans and our beloved pets, I was totally put off by the staff in this office. I am a seasoned health care administrator so the financial piece to this puzzle is not lost on me, BUT my impression is that the staff was more concerned with pushing their financial agenda then tending to my sweet baby girl. I am a brand new puppy owner, my baby girl is the first dog that I have ever had the pleasure of raising and it is my belief that the staff took advantage of this fact. I think they thrive off of people who do not yet have the knowledge of the care needed for certain animals, namely puppies, so they just push all types of medical stuff at you to intimidate and scare you into buying whatever service or medication they push on you. When we left there my puppy was diagnosed with a cold and prescribed 2 different medications and I was told that I would need to bring her back in 2 weeks for a recheck. The length of time that we waited to see the Dr compared to the time they actually spent with my baby girl was laughable. The Dr also prescribed some heart worm medication but, did not take adequate time to explain to me how to correctly apply the medication so I have no intention of giving it to my puppy until I have better knowledge of how to do it, as I do not want to do in correctly. I was completely overwhelmed when I left that office. Maybe this office works well with it's repeat customers, but if you are a new customer and DEFINITELY if you are new to the world of pets in general, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED ANIMAL TO THIS OFFICE.It's sad to say, but this experience has totally shaken my faith in Veterinary offices. I will start the process of finding a new vet today!

First off, I have to say that the people here are so nice and friendly. Never had a bad experience with anyone on the staff and they are super clean. However, they charge sooooooo much money compared to other vets, it is insane! I was pretty clueless considering this was out first dog. My dog was having a skin issue and I had to take her there for 3 consecutive visits for a follow up. Every visit she needed another medication or shot. The final visit her skin was cleared and the vet asked me how her ears were. I wasn't sure why she asked that, and she followed up by saying in the notes from the previous visit she had an ear infection. So she gave me more medication and asked for ANOTHER follow up visit. At that visit I also inquired about a spay and received a quote for almost $900. When I told a friend about it, she said that was insane and to call around. I took our dog to another vet and it was done for $250. This year going to a new vet, we haven't even spent 1/4 of what I spent at Sunset in a year. They offer an insurance plan to give you a discount but the prices are still well above any other vet. Again, super friendly and clean environment, but it is unfortunate how much they are taking advantage of people who are caring for their pets and robbing them :(

If you were looking for fantastic veterinarian you've come to the right place! Dr. Cristina Polit and her staff at Sunset Animal Hospital are wonderful. Dr. Polit is a dedicated, patient and knowledgeable doctor. She went above and beyond her duties to help me with my bunny. She answered all my questions and didn't make me feel uncomfortable by asking more questions. Her assistant Jenna was very helpful also. She answered my questions and also cut my bunny's toenails. Shannon the receptionist was also helpful with my bunny's needs. So if anyone's looking for a great veterinarian you know who to call. SUNSET ANIMAL HOSPITAL!

They said her hip was dislocated and charged us about $1,000 pretty much just for x-rays and blood work since that was all they really did besided itemize everything so they coukd overcharge. They then claimed the only way my dog would get better was through surgery that they wanted to charge an additional $3,200 or $2,800 with a discount and "good luck finding a more affordable rate" was what they said. I found a reliable clinic that would do the same surgery for $900 but this vet was nice and honest enough to let us know that surgery was not necessary yet. Now 5 days later my dog is walking fine no surgery necessary. IN ESSENCE, DON'T TRUST WHAT THEY SAY GET A SECOND OPINION AND RATE.

Getting a new puppy can be expensive. And if your like me, you think that the money spending is over after you purchase the dog. However when you go for the vet visit you learn more money is spent. The vaccines and check up's can add up quick. This vet had an AMAZING package deal to get your puppy through their shots at the lowest price I could find. I shopped and called 6 different vets, and Sunset Animal Hospital was by far the best deal. Not to mention the Veterinarian herself along with her staff are top-quality caring individuals. The office, clinic and kennel areas are extremely clean. For all your pet needs come here. Thank you Sunset Animal Hospital!

For a 6 month supply they charged me $123 but I found it online by $68 and with FREE SHIPPING, same with other medicine, it cost me $57 but I found it online for $27 and I keep counting... we ending paying almost $500. I know this Vet thing is a business but come on, give me a break!!! My suggestion would be go to a more honest place with reasonable prices where they not charge you for the air your breath.

We went for one visit we were sold some type of plan which is a complete rip-off especially for a young dog like ours the next day I reviewed it as at the office your kind of nervous it was basically double what normal care would have been I went back and got a refund they also goofed up his rabies vaccinations dates. winded up having and emergency and had to go to leader Animal Hospital in Cooper City we have been going there since it is a wonderful facility very sophisticated equipment and surgeons when you go for regular visits they never try to upsell you anything my last visit was $63 and I was told not to bring him back for a year they never push anything on you

I have waited over an hour to get to a room then waited on the room to almost an hour..2/there is obvious discord with the employees in the back I can hear them upset or arguing.... and they are all good techs 3/the front desk is overwhelmed and the check out process is way too long .... I would love the give this place a higher rating since the people are great but after watching dogs fight in waiting rooms I am hoping they clean up the process and streamline a system

Easy to find. I checked my dog in to her appointment and they asked for my dogs medical records. I liked that. Most clinics I've been to don't even bother to ask. The waiting area was clean very nice and didn't smell. Got called to the back they told them why I was there and they checked up on her. She had to have fecal and blood test. Turns out my dog had a worm. They brought me to the back to look at her sample under a microscope. Now this part of the review is just my all people are bad point of view but for all I know that sample of the worm is just something they have set up back there similar to the pictures of different worms on the wall to show people and say "hey, your dog has worms wanna see?" But I don't have a degree or the capability to test my own dog. So I paid for the medication. Overall my dog had a great experience at this clinic.
Staff was friendly place was clean dog got the care she needed.

Today we had our first appointment with Dr. Polit for a full check up and vaccines. I am absolutely in love with this place! The staff is super friendly and caring, they took their time explaining everything to me (I ask a lot questions when it comes to my dogs health) and they were sweet and gentle. Having bulldogs is always a challenge finding a vet that understands their unique needs and Dr. Polit is that veterinarian! She knows bulldogs because she has her own bulldogs and her tenderness and compassion with them really impressed me from day 1! I will never bring my fur babies anywhere else! And the vet techs really are top notch! They care about their patients and the humans that are with them! I just can't say enough great words about Sunset Animal Hospital!

After rescuing a little cat and looking for some medical attention the day before Thanksgiving at almost closing time, their team of people made the great exception to take us both Coco and I. The day before Thanksgiving, everyone wants to go home and rest. On the contrary, they were very welcoming in helping us out. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Samantha and Dr. Polit were extremely caring and professional. I am very grateful for that. It shows they really care about the well-being of our little furry friends. Thank you guys!

This place is fantastic! It is clean and has attentive staff! I like the fact they call to remind you of your appointments! The veterinarian Dr. Polit is super friendly, concerned and committed to providing great service for my dog, Doggie! He is particular but likes this office, too.

You get the feeling that everyone there cares from the reception desk to Dr. Polit. I have been there recently a lot dealing with a fungus my miniature poodle picked up. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the practice is expensive (in my opinion) and that is after purchasing their "insurance plan".

Just took my 2nd dog to them for a full check up, shots and neutering! Clean, friendly, affordable! The Dr. Calls you every step of the way! I highly recommend this facility!

Brought my dog in as an emergency and they took her in so quick!! She had to stay overnight and the doctor on call kept me informed over the phone while my dog was there. She came home the next day back to her self and good as new! Highly recommend animal hospital and I will continue to bring my dog here. Love all the staff and doctors.

Really no stars is more like it !! I'm over this place!! Every time I take my dog there,like someone mentioned earlier, its always a different price. I feel like I am being hustled!! I called for two services, nail clip and Boratella and they tagged on all these other prices and exams!! Not the first time,I should have learned , but when you want to take of your pet,( which is an extension of your family) you hope that the staff and establishment would at least be consistent and be honest. So disappointing!!Will not be back there again.

I called for two services, nail clip and Boratella and they tagged on all these other prices and exams!! I took my English bulldog there this afternoon and I have to say I was very impressed. The staff was super nice and very friendly. The tech took my dog out to do her business and even wiped her down for me. They were all very knowledgable, didn't suggest anything that wasn't necessary and a plus.. It's affordable!! I would definitely suggest this animal hospital to anyone!

Thank you Dr Polit, Lili and Sam- my dog came in with soo many problems and left happy healthy and on her way to recovery. I feel so blessed to have found Sunset Vet- signed up for the savings plan and now I save on her meds. Lola loves her doc - so much compassion. Plus the place has wifi so I can work in the lobby while she's getting her services. A must visit and totally worth the drive. Thanks again !!!!
