When we started searching for Rocky and Lou's vet. I searched Yelp like always and found great reviews for Cross Creek. Let me say they didn't disappoint. My pups are always well taken care of when we come in. They are very knowledgeable, kind and accommodating for us. We have a very anxiety driven pup that we adopted from a rescue and they understood that. They work with us so we can bring him in when it's least busy. Read Less

My pets have been patients at Cross Creek Animal Clinic for over 15 years. They take such good care of your fur family. The veterinarians and the vet techs are all compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. Hale especially takes the time to explain all possible options for treatment if your pet is ailing and truly involves you in the decision-making. I've come here twice for my kitten now. Initially to gethis vaccines and tests, the second time to have him neutured. I can say I am very happy with my choice and plan to come here for the foreseeable future! The staff is top notch and very professional, you can tell they have a great relationship with their clients from the way everyone seems to be a long time customer. Dr. Hale is excellent, he and his staff provided a very informative initial visit, in fact after having Dr. Hale go through the exam with me I felt like I had just taken Feline Care 101. On the second visit for my cats neuter they took great care of him, and provided very convenient drop off and pick up times. I've known Dr. David Hale for years. He & his staff have ALWAYS shown true professionalism & compassion. Yesterday I took my aging Brewski into their office because; although he did not show any signs of distress, Brew has stopped eating. Dr. Hale quickly diagnosed leaks in both of Brew's heart valves as well as kidney disease. Although I am extremely saddened by Brew's condition, Dr. Hale & his team gave me options to extend Brew's quality of life and showed me a true sense of caring! What a great place! Employees go above and beyond to help! I've had many animals treated at Cross Creek (in rescue) and I'm happy with the care they have given all my babies. I even moved closer to the clinic to make it easier to get animals there! Dr. Hale and Dr. David are not your ordinary veterinarians - they think outside the box to help each and every animal. Recently pulled MOST of our toy poodle's teeth, but left the "good ones" in. Charged us over a THOUSAND DOLLARS. Now one of the "good" teeth which happens to be right below her eye is abscessed and the abscess BUSTED through her face and under her eye causing a BAD infection. She has FORTY-TWO antibiotics to take!!!!!!!! Needless to say, she is back with her original vet. Basically we paid a THOUSAND DOLLARS for her to end up even MORE sick than she was before the surgery!!!!!!!!! Personally, I think we should get our money back plus some!!!! Read Less

Dr. Hale is a very loving and knowledgable veterinarian. I took my 8 week old puppy and signed up for a "puppy plan" (a great bang for your buck!) and he helped me out immensely. I had done my research, but had no idea what I got myself into once I had my little Enzo. He gave me guidance and advice. My cat ate aquarium airline tubing and was lethargic and we didn't know why. He even threw some up in this vets office, but they couldn't put two and two together and told me he was definitely fine. The then vet asked if my cat could have consumed "a large amount of marijuana"?... I have no idea why he would ask that. And then sent me home. The next morning my cat almost died because the tubing continued to move through his intestines overnight. The only thing I can thank them for is giving me the number for the emergency clinic who actually x-rayed and performed surgery on my cat. Read Less

Caroline Pryor it really hurts me to hear you say such things about Dr Hale on the internet. He saved at least two cats that I brought to him with what I thought were broken bones that he healed without surgery. He is not greedy and was trying to save YOU money and save the cat from going through the agony of surgery. Dr. Hale is a wonderful, compassionate man. Everyone makes a mistake once in a while. In October of last year, my cat Monroe dislocated his left hip. We brought him in immediately to Dr. Hale, who informed us of two options: an FHO surgery or trying to see if they could pop it back into place without the hefty price tag. We decided to have them try to pop it back into place and if that didn't work, we agreed to look into surgery. Dr.Hale informed us that he was able to pop the hip back into it's socket, and all we'd need to do was keep Monroe confined for abou...t 1 month and things should be back to normal. After 4 weeks, I was concerned about Monroe's limp so I scheduled an appointment to have him checked out. In addressing my concerns, Dr. Hale said "People tend to place their anxieties onto their pets, and then when they have children, they place their anxieties onto their children." He also said that because of the trauma my cat experienced, he might limp for up to 6 months. I took Dr. Hale's advice and thought no more of the situation, thinking it would be resolved shortly. About 2 months ago, we started having major improper elimination issues with Monroe. We called Cross Creek at least 3 times during this struggle, and on every phone call they were insistent that Monroe had a behavioral issue. Even after I reminded them about his hip problems and inquired if the two might be related, I was reassured that this was a separate problem. We switched litter boxes, litter, bought extra litter boxes etc. We tried EVERYTHING. Finally, I'd had enough and we looked into a different vet because they have an in house behavioral specialist. After performing an x-ray at the new vet clinic, we were informed that his hip was STILL broken and that his bones have been grinding together making it very painful for him to get into the proper position to poo. My pet has been through a tremendous amount of suffering for months, and because I trusted Cross Creek and Dr. Hale, I am now having to take care of an issue that should've been resolved MONTHS ago. After all that my poor kitty was put through he's gotten treatment at a different facility so that his healing process can finally begin. Our puppy Ruby loves going to the clinic and has always received outstanding care here. Dr Hale and all of the staff are very knowledgeable, and also extremely kind and welcoming. I cannot imagine a better team caring for Ruby. I highly recommend this clinic, they are the best. Read Less

We started coming to Cross Creek 5 years ago when we moved to Tallahassee because our son took his dogs there. Dr. Hale and his staff have treated our animals (and us) with care. I've been seeing Dr Hale since 2006. He and Lynn have been amazing with my dogs and cats. Years ago, when we had to put our cats down we could not have asked for a more compassionate staff. Dr Hale cares about every animal he sees. Recently we had a large tumor show up on one of our corgis. Because of the type and placement we were very concerned. I started going to Cross Creek Animal Clinic after I got a new kitten and didn't want to go across town to my previous vet to get all my kitten's shots and health check-ups. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Hale is helpful and informative. The first time I went to the clinic was on a weekend and even though the office was closed, the staff let me come in and told me about their kitten plan. I'm happy to have a closer place to take my pets for medical care and I feel they're in good hands there! Read Less

I'm a little shocked I have never written a review here. Well I couldn't be happier with this vet clinic. It far surpassed my expectations. The Dr is amazing and very attentive. I recommend to anyone with a pet. He has the most thorough exams I have ever seen. Which is greatly appreciated. Not mention as a breeder it's a necessity. Closing into the holidays I came into a bind and fortunately the lovely people at Cross Clinic were able to help me in boarding my dog at such short notice. Amanda and Lynn were two wonderful ladies that helped me through the whole process and made everything work out smoothly. Jessie was happy coming to me, so I know she was taken good care of.
