I was taking my dogs to another Vet in Tallahassee, but I found that they were a bit expensive. So thankfully someone recommended Lakewood Animal Hospital. My other Vet was closer but the extra 10 minute drive to Lakewood is so worth it! I find that the prices they charge for their services are very reasonable and fair. But better than that: The Office Staff and Vet Techs are super friendly and helpful and Dr.'s Michelle and Scott are The Best in town! Both Docs are extremely knowledgeable and always take the time to listen to and answer any questions I have. I have always felt that they (as well as their staff) truly care about my dogs. I highly recommend Lakewood Animal Hospital!

Very dissapointed. Been going here for years. Dr. Prescribed and sold us anxiety meds. Suddenly, with no prior explanation, they charged close to $5 a day for "medication" when I left my dog for boarding. It is, apparently, just about $$ now. I used to think they cared about my dog.

I am very pleased with the staff at Lakewood for taking care of my goats and for their excellent communication. Dr. Michelle Richardson is kind and compassionate and listened to all my worries when I had to rush in one of my sick does. It isn't easy to find a vets who take time and make you feel like they really care. Expenses are also very reasonable. Thank you, Dr. Richardson and staff!

My dogs breed has a bad rep obviously because he's a blue nose pit, I took him to this vet thinking he's 'bout to be in safe arms, he went to the other room and I heard the docs say they're taking his tempature now I wasn't born yesterday I know they take dogs temp anally and I heard my baby boy growl just as it beeped, they brought my sweet baby back in a muzzle and I witnessed him having a panic attack. Dogs have feelings and emotions don't bring my dog out In a muzzle because he didn't like being anally penetrated. Don't bring your pitbull here

Our family pets (cats and dogs) have been only going to the docs at Lakewood for 12 years, and we love it there. The vets there (a husband and wife team) are reasonable, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. The clinic is very affordable, too. We recommend them to all of our friends and family.

I wish I knew before what I know now. I took my cat in for a VERY simple dental surgery. When I went to pick him up later that evening the Dr. Scott told me that there had been a complication with my cats surgery and he was having a hard time recovering from the anesthesia. No one even called me to tell me anything had gone wrong! The next day I went to get my cat and he was still wobbly. This morning he's vomiting and has severe diarrhea. I feel SICK with regret about taking my cat to these clowns. All I can do now is take him to another vet and pray there's something someone can do to help. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. They DO NOT care about your animal.

My other Vet was closer but the extra 10 minute drive to Lakewood is so worth it! I find that the prices they charge for their services are very reasonable and fair.
