I am very pleased with Paws and Claws. I have an older cockatiel that was having head turning and I tried to find a vet that would take care of birds. After a worried weekend, I was given the Paws and Claws number. Dr. Kimberly Kocel saw my bird and she is phenomenal. She is caring and very gentle. I would definitely recommend her for taking care of my bird. The place is great and the staff are very professional and nice. Thank you for putting me at ease.

The doctors are great. But almost every experience has been a hassle.
There are several days I honestly love my dog more than the human race, and I don’t want to leave a place where she’s gotten such wonderful treatment.
But surprise charges, repeated ignored requests to send records — a required influenza shot for staying in the kennel — left us sort of over it.
Not even I got a flu shot this year.

We are very satisfied with Our recent visit. Our dog Bella was sick late on Friday evening and we arrived last minute - just 30 minutes before closing! We received prompt thorough service, exam, xrays, bloodwork to determine the extent of her illness. We left about 45 minutes after they closed and had everything completed. The doctor and technician were very helpful understanding her condition and never seemed rushed although it was past the end of their workday. We will be a returning customer!

I have been going to Paws & Claws since Feb 2017 when we first got our pup. The vet techs & front desk staff are always AMAZING!! I have a huge, rambunctious golden retriever and although he can be a bit much, they always make sure they’re thorough and kind.
We had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Davidson today and she is outstanding!! They also are very fair with their fees as they make sure you don’t pay for unnecessary tests/treatments. I highly recommend this practice.

My first experience with this clinic was three years ago when I took two puppies I foster for well check and neutering. The office staff were very pleasant and professional. I like that the vet office volunteers their services and also donate medicine needed to the humane society.
When I adopted my current dog, I went to another vet just because it's nearer and my dog whines a lot when he's in a car (maybe bad experience from previous owner?) My experience with the vet hasn't been great. Communication was an issue plus the most basic problem wasn't diagnosed properly. When I had to rely on Google to help my pet, I knew it was time to look for another vet. When my friend mentioned this office, I quickly remembered my experience there. I thought I'll call them to try out (it is triple the distance). I have no regrets and I will definitely make them my permanent vet office. My dog was not nervous like he was at the other office. The techs were very gentle and caring. Dr. Robinson was the doc who attended to my dog, she is a great communicator and explained thoroughly what's going on. She even provided an estimate to make sure I'm agreeable to the cost prior to treatment. I like this office.

My bunny was recently spayed at Paws and Claws by Dr. Moser. For anyone who is on the hunt for a rabbit savvy vet, I highly recommend you visit her. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm incredibly particular when it comes to my bunny, so it was extremely important for me to find a vet who was educated on rabbits. That's already a hard enough task, but it's even more difficult in a smaller town like Tallahassee. However, I'm super grateful for finding Dr. Moser and the rest of the staff at Paws and Claws. Everything she told me pre and post surgery passed my crazy bunny parent test. She made me feel like my bunny's well being was her number one priority from the moment we went in for our initial appointment and even after the surgery itself. Everything she told me led me to feel like my bunny was in safe hands which is not an easy thing for me. My bunny is now back to normal and her surgery was a success. So for anyone looking for a rabbit savvy vet in Tallahassee, I highly recommend Dr. Moser! Also, the staff at Paws and Claws has always treated us with respect, care, and always have a smile on their face. Great doctor and amazing staff!!

This hospital is fantastic. Always have had prompt service~~at the clinic and on the telephone. Had a couple of "real" emergencies and they took my dog immediately when I arrived. The staff is friendly and the vets are knowledgeable. Perhaps the few low ratings from others~~they may have caught someone on a bad day. We all have those. I would highly recommend this hospital for all my furbabies. Have three pit bulls and I know they love my "emergency".

I would like to give a huge shout-out and a paws-up to an assuming but powerfully impactful veterinarian on your staff, Dr. Jennifer Moser. Dr. Moser has been my mother's go-to vet for several years now, always going the extra mile (and even literally in some cases) to help in crises with several different cats that have been members of the family. Dr. Moser is someone we have come to depend on for honest advice as well as for her genuinely compassionate and caring manner and her willingness to always consider every option for solving or mitigating a problem to make life better for all concerned. Paws & Claws is lucky to have Dr. Moser. She does not ask for recognition but many do not understand how difficult the veterinary profession can be to practice in; caring for humans is just as important as caring for animals. She has helped us navigate loss as well as everyday life with our family pets and for that we will be forever grateful.

My dog had a cyst on his leg which they said had to be removed. He underwent surgery to remove it and when it came back, they said he would have to have surgery again. I became suspicious when they wanted me to pay for and start him on medications before the day of the surgery. I took my dog to Bradfordville Animal Hospital for a second option and was told (after a simple checkup) that the cyst did NOT need surgery and that it would go away on its own, which it did. We haven't returned to Paws and Claws since. I'm so glad I went for a second opinion instead of putting him through unnecessary surgery twice.

I don't write reviews. However, the folks at Paws & Claws really upset me. My Border Collie is a relatively new patient. Friday evening a few minutes before "the doctors leave" I called for help as my BC suddenly developed a problem with his rear leg. I'm less than 5 minutes from the vet. The person who answered the phone told me to take him to an emergency vet. Really??? I asked her to check with a doctor and was told the doctor also recommended the emergency vet. It is sad and extremely disappointing that they are more concerned about leaving on time than taking care of a dog in need.

However, the entire trip did take about 3 hours so...that costs them a star but I'm sure it was due to the fact that we've got 5 fleabags we are fostering. So 36 minutes per fleabag?! Is that how it works??? No, not really but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The Humane Society sent us there and they definitely picked a winner, I recommend taking your pets there.

I've been to MANY vet clinics in the area to find the right place to take my dog and cats and have been very disappointed in many of the clinics in town....but Paws and Claws are the absolute BEST in Tallahassee! I love all 3 Vets! They are insightful, passionate, and care about my pets! The pet groomers are wonderful too and take amazing care of my big clumsy lovable Lab! Boarding has been a wonderful experience for my Lab as well! And their prices are the most reasonable I've found in town! It's so nice to see my dog so happy when I pick him up from Paws and Claws!:)

I have been going to Paws and Claws for years. All the Vet Doctors are great. I have a preference for Dr. Gert because he has performed two surgeries on two of my dogs and done an exceptional job. These were very complicated surgeries and very few vets could do either. When I had to put my beloved 14 year old Cockerspaniel Down March 2011 he was absolutley wonderful. My dog didn't like going inside the vet office, he allowed me to go on the side of the building (they have a large field) and lay a blanket down and have my last picnic wth my baby. I fed her all the favorite things she loves and wasn't always suppose to have. She had tuna fish and candy kisses. My son didn't want to put her down and couldn't see how badly she was suffering. Then when we were ready Dr. Gert came out to give her a shot to put her to sleep. Dr. Gert without knowing it said the most perfect thing. When Dr. Gert came outside he examined Tangee and said, "Yes it is time, she is suffering terribley". My son under stood then that she was miserable and there was nothing more we could do for her. I have been to many of the vets in Tallahassee and many of them seem to care but Dr. Gert I think is a better quality doctor, more skilled, especially in the surgery department. Also when my dogs have had to have special rehab or procedures I had to do for them at home he has taken valuable time to show me EXACTLY how to do it. I really appreicate him.

Within the last few months I have begun taking my two dogs to Dr. Guhrt. Last week, while on vacation, I noticed tapeworms in my 11 month old lab/rottie(?) mix. I called their office, concerned about how long the condition could go untreated since I would not be home for another week. The front office were very helpful, consulted with the doctor, and received the tablets for treatment in the NEXT day's mail. The worms were gone immediately and we enjoyed the rest of our vacation. I am very pleased with Paws and Claws. I have an older cockatiel that was having head turning and I tried to find a vet that would take care of birds. After a worried weekend, I was given the Paws and Claws number. Dr. Kimberly Kocel saw my bird and she is phenomenal. She is caring and very gentle. I would definitely recommend her for taking care of my bird. The place is great and the staff are very professional and nice. Thank you for putting me at ease.

There are several days I honestly love my dog more than the human race, and I don’t want to leave a place where she’s gotten such wonderful treatment.
But surprise charges, repeated ignored requests to send records — a required influenza shot for staying in the kennel — left us sort of over it.
Not even I got a flu shot this year.

We are very satisfied with Our recent visit. Our dog Bella was sick late on Friday evening and we arrived last minute - just 30 minutes before closing! We received prompt thorough service, exam, xrays, bloodwork to determine the extent of her illness. We left about 45 minutes after they closed and had everything completed. The doctor and technician were very helpful understanding her condition and never seemed rushed although it was past the end of their workday. We will be a returning customer!

I have been going to Paws & Claws since Feb 2017 when we first got our pup. The vet techs & front desk staff are always AMAZING!! I have a huge, rambunctious golden retriever and although he can be a bit much, they always make sure they’re thorough and kind.
We had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Davidson today and she is outstanding!! They also are very fair with their fees as they make sure you don’t pay for unnecessary tests/treatments. I highly recommend this practice.

My first experience with this clinic was three years ago when I took two puppies I foster for well check and neutering. The office staff were very pleasant and professional. I like that the vet office volunteers their services and also donate medicine needed to the humane society.
When I adopted my current dog, I went to another vet just because it's nearer and my dog whines a lot when he's in a car (maybe bad experience from previous owner?) My experience with the vet hasn't been great. Communication was an issue plus the most basic problem wasn't diagnosed properly. When I had to rely on Google to help my pet, I knew it was time to look for another vet. When my friend mentioned this office, I quickly remembered my experience there. I thought I'll call them to try out (it is triple the distance). I have no regrets and I will definitely make them my permanent vet office. My dog was not nervous like he was at the other office. The techs were very gentle and caring. Dr. Robinson was the doc who attended to my dog, she is a great communicator and explained thoroughly what's going on. She even provided an estimate to make sure I'm agreeable to the cost prior to treatment. I like this office.

My bunny was recently spayed at Paws and Claws by Dr. Moser. For anyone who is on the hunt for a rabbit savvy vet, I highly recommend you visit her. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm incredibly particular when it comes to my bunny, so it was extremely important for me to find a vet who was educated on rabbits. That's already a hard enough task, but it's even more difficult in a smaller town like Tallahassee. However, I'm super grateful for finding Dr. Moser and the rest of the staff at Paws and Claws. Everything she told me pre and post surgery passed my crazy bunny parent test. She made me feel like my bunny's well being was her number one priority from the moment we went in for our initial appointment and even after the surgery itself. Everything she told me led me to feel like my bunny was in safe hands which is not an easy thing for me. My bunny is now back to normal and her surgery was a success. So for anyone looking for a rabbit savvy vet in Tallahassee, I highly recommend Dr. Moser! I would like to give a huge shout-out and a paws-up to an assuming but powerfully impactful veterinarian on your staff, Dr. Jennifer Moser. Dr. Moser has been my mother's go-to vet for several years now, always going the extra mile (and even literally in some cases) to help in crises with several different cats that have been members of the family. Dr. Moser is someone we have come to depend on for honest advice as well as for her genuinely compassionate and caring manner and her willingness to always consider every option for solving or mitigating a problem to make life better for all concerned. Paws & Claws is lucky to have Dr. Moser. She does not ask for recognition but many do not understand how difficult the veterinary profession can be to practice in; caring for humans is just as important as caring for animals. She has helped us navigate loss as well as everyday life with our family pets and for that we will be forever grateful.

My dog had a cyst on his leg which they said had to be removed. He underwent surgery to remove it and when it came back, they said he would have to have surgery again. I became suspicious when they wanted me to pay for and start him on medications before the day of the surgery. I took my dog to Bradfordville Animal Hospital for a second option and was told (after a simple checkup) that the cyst did NOT need surgery and that it would go away on its own, which it did. We haven't returned to Paws and Claws since. I'm so glad I went for a second opinion instead of putting him through unnecessary surgery twice.

I don't write reviews. However, the folks at Paws & Claws really upset me. My Border Collie is a relatively new patient. Friday evening a few minutes before "the doctors leave" I called for help as my BC suddenly developed a problem with his rear leg. I'm less than 5 minutes from the vet. The person who answered the phone told me to take him to an emergency vet. Really??? I asked her to check with a doctor and was told the doctor also recommended the emergency vet. It is sad and extremely disappointing that they are more concerned about leaving on time than taking care of a dog in need.

However, the entire trip did take about 3 hours so...that costs them a star but I'm sure it was due to the fact that we've got 5 fleabags we are fostering. So 36 minutes per fleabag?! Is that how it works??? No, not really but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The Humane Society sent us there and they definitely picked a winner, I recommend taking your pets there.

I've been to MANY vet clinics in the area to find the right place to take my dog and cats and have been very disappointed in many of the clinics in town....but Paws and Claws are the absolute BEST in Tallahassee! I love all 3 Vets! They are insightful, passionate, and care about my pets! The pet groomers are wonderful too and take amazing care of my big clumsy lovable Lab! Boarding has been a wonderful experience for my Lab as well! And their prices are the most reasonable I've found in town! It's so nice to see my dog so happy when I pick him up from Paws and Claws!:)

I have been going to Paws and Claws for years. All the Vet Doctors are great. I have a preference for Dr. Gert because he has performed two surgeries on two of my dogs and done an exceptional job. These were very complicated surgeries and very few vets could do either. When I had to put my beloved 14 year old Cockerspaniel Down March 2011 he was absolutley wonderful. My dog didn't like going inside the vet office, he allowed me to go on the side of the building (they have a large field) and lay a blanket down and have my last picnic wth my baby. I fed her all the favorite things she loves and wasn't always suppose to have. She had tuna fish and candy kisses. My son didn't want to put her down and couldn't see how badly she was suffering. Then when we were ready Dr. Gert came out to give her a shot to put her to sleep. Dr. Gert without knowing it said the most perfect thing. When Dr. Gert came outside he examined Tangee and said, "Yes it is time, she is suffering terribley". My son under stood then that she was miserable and there was nothing more we could do for her. I have been to many of the vets in Tallahassee and many of them seem to care but Dr. Gert I think is a better quality doctor, more skilled, especially in the surgery department. Also when my dogs have had to have special rehab or procedures I had to do for them at home he has taken valuable time to show me EXACTLY how to do it. I really appreicate him.

Within the last few months I have begun taking my two dogs to Dr. Guhrt. Last week, while on vacation, I noticed tapeworms in my 11 month old lab/rottie(?) mix. I called their office, concerned about how long the condition could go untreated since I would not be home for another week. The front office were very helpful, consulted with the doctor, and received the tablets for treatment in the NEXT day's mail. The worms were gone immediately and we enjoyed the rest of our vacation.
