I have seen a couple of negative reviews below indicating that Dr. Woodham is inexperienced, misdiagnoses, doesn't listen, and pushes owners to have unnecessary tests done on their pets. None of this is true in my experience. Dr. Woodham is terrific, and very caring toward my pet, Dexter. I believe he makes every owner feel like their pet is his favorite pet. He was a second opinion for me from another "high-end" vet in town, and he *caught* a misdiagnosis. My dog is diabetic, and thanks to Dr. Woodham, he is regulated for the first time since he was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. All this while advising that there was no need for expensive glucose curves, of which Dexter had many at his previous vet. He also is an excellent communicator. How many times have you received a call directly from your vet, instead of a staff member, in order to inform you how your pet is doing or to explain a condition that your pet is experiencing? Dexter's health has improved dramatically since becoming a patient at TVH. Further, Dr. David Woodham is a fun, unique personality. A+. Highly recommended. Read Less

I have been bringing my dog Baxter here for over 4 years and can not say enough good things about Dr.Woodham and staff. They are always so friendly and make it very easy to get an appointment. Dr. Woodham and all of the staff at Tallahassee Veterinarian Hospital are top notch. My cat had a complicated neuter surgery, but Dr. Woodham did a fantastic job and called me the next day to make sure he was doing well, something I really appreciated. I have boarded him several times as well, and he always looks happy when I pick him up, I know he is being well taken care of. I miss him, but I never worry about his care. Katy, the office manager is always knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. All of the staff cares about the animals and their owners, you can tell they love what they do. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. I brought my dog here with a bad skin and ear infection and Dr. Woodham took such good care of him. He spent a lot of time with me to make sure I understood what I was dealing with, how to administer the medicine, etc. And Katy at the front desk is wonderful. We love Dr. David Woodham and Katie at the front desk! Good people, fabulous demeanor, honest, hard working, kind, understanding, I could go on and on. We take our two cats and husky here, and they are always remembered by name. My husband and I are always immediately remembered as well, even if not by name, but by fur-parent status. I highly recommend Tally Vet Hospital. The prices aren't super low, but you are paying not only for healthcare for the furry members of your family, but for the family-like quality and care they and you receive. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes - although I've always scheduled an appointment in advance beforehand. They've been great with my cat, and even handled my brother's cat when I brought it in while I was watching it. I didn't have any paperwork for his cat so they ran a couple tests to make sure an eye injury she had wasn't hurting her at no charge. They've even let me have a free sample of some medicines so I could be sure my cat would take it before ordering the whole package. Read Less

I've only had good experiences here. During a visit I mentioned I was studying microbiology, my dog had a bacterial infection in his ears, and Dr. Woodham let me view the bacteria through their microscope. How ironic that I needed assistance coming into Tallahassee from Atlanta because my Dad was in intensive care. I needed a place to temporarily board my dogs. Turns out they took care of my dad's toy poodle for 15 years in the 70's. They were so empathetic and took such great care of my kiddos with such short notice. I really like this vet. The staff has always treated us kindly, the office is clean, Dr. Woodham and staff are always eager to answer questions and explain what's going on with the animals,  but more importantly than that, they have been great at taking care of our furbabies and the ones we foster.  I think that is really important! All the staff is so accommodating and nice. Katie in particular has always been sweet to them and all the fur babies we have picked up from boarding are happy and healthy at pick up. They also support a rescue organization Tallahassee Pets Alive so that gets them a thousand stars in my book. Read Less

The staff and Dr. Woodham are always there to answer any problem that may come up and help with any problems or questions. We have boarded our dogs and they are well looked after, a/c, fed twice a day, and walked morning, noon and night. Gabe and Dolly were fat and happy. We originally started with Tallahassee Veterinary Hospital in 1996 with Dr. Joe Cordell taking care of our Beagles and Bassets. Our dogs always received the very best in treatment. We experience that same professionalism and care from Dr. David Woodham. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Woodham and the entire staff.
