AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT take your animal to this vet. Dr. Bolos does not explain ANY of the choices he makes when it comes to your animal. He is consistently in a hurry, he is disorganized, he lacks good communication skills and he is the worst vet I have ever seen.
The facility is dirty and reeks of animal odor. The sinks are filled with dirty syringes. Dr. Bolos does not write what the actual medicines are on the little envelopes he gives you for your pet.
When I went to pick up my sick cat, I found him cold, lying in his own vomit which apparently he had been doing all night. They even had to sedate him ONLY to take blood, keeping him overnight for observation. NEVER have my animals had to be sedated just to acquire blood samples for a CBC panel. Over the course of four weeks they sedated him THREE TIMES and forced him to remain overnight.
He nickel and dimes you all while claiming he is giving you "discounts." We had to pay upfront for every vet service, which I have never had to do anywhere else. He also lies to you. We paid for x-rays before they were done and then when he showed them to us, he said he would give us a discount since a few were too light. When we inquired if the money would be put back on our card, he said, "Oh no, I've already discounted you this morning." HOW, if you claim that you didn't realize the x-rays would be too light until you took them, could you take that into account when forcing us to pay first thing before they are done?
On top of everything else, he claimed we must pay UP FRONT $4000 for exploratory surgery for my cat, although he couldn't articulate to us if my cat was 1. healthy enough to withstand surgery or 2. the purpose of the surgery. When I called around the Tampa area, exploratory surgery was quoted everywhere else around $800-$1400. I even had a different vet tell me that no matter what I did, to never return to Aba Abraam Animal Hospital.
In response to my poor rating of them on Facebook, the response was, " In medical field . There r no Gus . You have to do blood work, x ray , ultrasound ?'c etc to get diagnosis . & treat accordly . Ther r no one rx for all the diseases" The spelling and grammar errors are astounding....
Please, if you do not want to regret having your pet suffer longer than it has to, do NOT go here. It is the biggest mistake I have ever made with my animals. Read Less
