I brought my cat to visit Dr. Rifat Bolos after he was injured in a fight with another cat. My cat is terrified of the vet and unfortunately turns into Cujo when I bring him there, so I am grateful that the doctor and his staff were willing to treat my cat. The poor little guy had to have his abscessed, infected wound surgically treated, which involved sedation and an overnight stay. My cat is now at home and recovering very nicely. This guy is the most disgusting person I have ever spoken to. I never had the opportunity to meet this individual which was probably best for him after he had the balls to hang up on me and then not accept or return any of my calls following. Allow me to elaborate in detail...... On 11/21/20016 I had an accident and fell on my roommates dog and as it turns out fractured his back hind leg. Immediately after the incident I went to Sam, my roommates dog, to see how bad he was hurt, when he bit me I knew it was bad and freaked out and called the emergency vet number on the fridge. When I called I could not make a single clear and audible sentence so I asked if I could speak to someone else. He hung up on me. I called more then 5 times back and he ignore. Ok now maybe I might have freaked out and panicked...... if so sorry. But your job as a vet is to care for your patients. So when you advertise an emergency line and you get a call explaining a severely hurt pet is it not also your responsibility to help console and guide the parents of your patients on how to transport and provide them with information on what to do and collect information on the emergency? So in the last 48 hours I have research this office and it turns out this is not his first negligent act. Read Less

NOT RATED BY BBB!! ******** CONTRACT INVOLVED !!!! ******** FRAUD, FILTHY, FATAL!!! My husband and I have been to this location 3 times already to board our beautiful 18 month DOGO Argentinian Mastiff (He really is the sweetest and loving dog).. We are extremely busy being that we are both serving active duty in the military, so this place was the cheapest as far as long term boarding. FIRST! you must; ***** pay upfront and SIGN a CONTRACT ***** stating basically he could do anything to your dog medically.. so if he has a fake medical issue he can experiment or pretend to give him a shot for $400!!! We have NEVER had issues with our dog, he's BIG STRONG and HEALTHY. He's UPDATED on his shot record and on a HEALTHY diet for his breed. FIRST EXPERIENCE: We took him in to board him for a couple of days as we were heading out of town. THE VET CALLED*** Stated there were ringworms in his feces (ITS ALWAYS THE "FECES") so on top of boarding we had to pay to give him the ringworm shots (expensive and unnecessary) SECOND EXPERIENCE: We took him to the vet to board him for 10 days as we were heading out of town upstate for business related reasons. We paid 411.92 $ upfront then head off THE VET CALLED*** Stated that there was blood in his feces AND he's throwing up, I REFUSED to believe it his digestive system is healthy and we have seen his feces ALREADY but all of a sudden he "IS SICK" the Vet said he may have eaten a bone and it go stuck in his intestines BUT there were NO XRAYS TAKEN, NO PHOTO OF STOOL/VOMIT TAKEN and ALL he "needed was a SHOT" all of a sudden he HEALTHY for $400 and also added $200 to that for the extra day we took. CONDITIONS: the last visit we demanded to see where he kept our dog was in a small kennel he couldn't even move around in with a chain wrapped around his neck (NOT EVEN ON HIS COLLAR) while he was in his kennel, the sight and conditions will bring tears to your eyes. Just brought my kitty in because he was limping. Before I went, I called and got an estimate, and although he took extra exrays, he gave me the discount. I had brought my kitty to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay's Animal Clinic and in their triage, the said his leg wasn't broken. So after waiting 4 hours, we went home thinking it was just a sprain. SO angry at Humane Society because 3 weeks later, he's still limping and now I learn it was broken after all. Thanks to Abraam's staff, I now know that he needs to be contained for 3 more weeks. I highly recommend Abraam Animal Hospital. They remind me of my last vet who I adored. Very nice doc, very nice staff, competitive prices and much less than Blue Pearl and VCA. Read Less

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT take your animal to this vet. Dr. Bolos does not explain ANY of the choices he makes when it comes to your animal. He is consistently in a hurry, he is disorganized, he lacks good communication skills and he is the worst vet I have ever seen. The facility is dirty and reeks of animal odor. The sinks are filled with dirty syringes. Dr. Bolos does not write what the actual medicines are on the little envelopes he gives you for your pet. When I went to pick up my sick cat, I found him cold, lying in his own vomit which apparently he had been doing all night. They even had to sedate him ONLY to take blood, keeping him overnight for observation. NEVER have my animals had to be sedated just to acquire blood samples for a CBC panel. Over the course of four weeks they sedated him THREE TIMES and forced him to remain overnight. He nickel and dimes you all while claiming he is giving you "discounts." We had to pay upfront for every vet service, which I have never had to do anywhere else. He also lies to you. We paid for x-rays before they were done and then when he showed them to us, he said he would give us a discount since a few were too light. When we inquired if the money would be put back on our card, he said, "Oh no, I've already discounted you this morning." HOW, if you claim that you didn't realize the x-rays would be too light until you took them, could you take that into account when forcing us to pay first thing before they are done? On top of everything else, he claimed we must pay UP FRONT $4000 for exploratory surgery for my cat, although he couldn't articulate to us if my cat was 1. healthy enough to withstand surgery or 2. the purpose of the surgery. When I called around the Tampa area, exploratory surgery was quoted everywhere else around $800-$1400. I even had a different vet tell me that no matter what I did, to never return to Aba Abraam Animal Hospital. In response to my poor rating of them on Facebook, the response was, " In medical field . There r no Gus . You have to do blood work, x ray , ultrasound ?'c etc to get diagnosis . & treat accordly . Ther r no one rx for all the diseases" The spelling and grammar errors are astounding.... Please, if you do not want to regret having your pet suffer longer than it has to, do NOT go here. It is the biggest mistake I have ever made with my animals. Read Less

Read Less

I have a pit in my stomach that I made a horrible decision trusting this place to 'sedate' my dog to clean his ear $500 later and an over night stay. You know after committing to things you feel like someone got over on you for unnecessary services. I pray my dog is ok and am horribly disgusted of agreeing with this place. I wish they would have gave me other options rather than explaining this NEEDED to be done. Read Less
