Dr. Palma and staff are phenomenal and so caring! We have been a part of the Circle of Life family for years as my partner brought his dog and our dog to Dr. Palma and we also bring our elderly cat, Lilly, to her for care. She is an amazing veterinarian who truly cares about her patients and her patients' families. We recently had to say goodbye to our 16 year old Jack Russell terrier, Koopa. She helped us through the process and had amazing bedside manner with both Koopa and us. It's never easy to say goodbye to our furry loved ones, but Circle of Life does everything they can to make it less painful. Dr. Palma is extremely thorough in all of her examinations and was able to discover a heart issue that Koopa had. Her intervention allowed us to have nearly another year with our little guy. She referred us to the cardiology department at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital and he was able to have a pacemaker installed to lengthen and improve his quality of life greatly. You can tell that each of the staff members, from the receptionists, vet techs, Dr. Holley and Dr. Palma, care about your pets and want the very best for them. $750 to pull 4 teeth, another dog had most of his teeth pulled. Got a bunch of hillbilly a** dogs running around and can't even keep their tongues in their mouths anymore. We have been going to Circle of Life with Dr Palma since we moved to Lutz in 2000. At that time I only had Niki, our Himalayan Persian cat. She was almost 19 years old when we had to put her to sleep. Niki was given to me and so have all my other furries been given to me. Rocky, our little chiwawa who was the runt of the litter and no one wanted, I took him and he was a little darling. Dr. Palma saw Rocky at the beginning as he was in great health. Just had to get him spade, but he loved to run after joggers. Being only 4 lbs, he could sneak through the smallest crack of the door and he met his fate. Then Woody came into our lives, our little Daschund. What a cutie he was. He did not like coming to the office, but he did like the staff and Dr. Palma. During that time, we had another furry cat come to stay with us, Scooby. Woody did not like Scooby but tolerated him. Scooby was trying to be the boss. We lost Scooby after 3 years when we had to put her down. Woody was greeted everytime we came to for a checkup, etc. Until last year after 7 years, he became very ill and there was no hope, Dr. Palma talked to us and calmed us so we can make the right decision. Our 2 yr old grand daughter was with us as we said goodbye. Our last furry dog is Tiffy, a beautiful beagel and a howler. She was with us about 5 years and now recently lost her due to illness. As all of our pets came to our lives, so will we wait until the time comes when someone will seek us out and wants to make our home their home too. I want to thank the whole staff at Circle of Life for being their for us as we went through some hard times with each and everyone of our pets. We have been through thick and thin with Dr. Palma over the years (about 12). We moved to Tampa with two sweet Shelties we loved dearly. Dr. Palma took great care of them to include helping us through the devastating decline and death of each of them in old age. She helped us with a couple of years extra of quality time with them but, since they were brother and sister they died close together. We eventually decided on another brother and sister set of Shelties and Dr Palma has kept them healthy and happy even through the gallbladder surgery of our male. He is back in great health and they are 9 years old but looking and acting much younger. Dr. Palma keeps a very close eye on every one of her patients and calls on outside help if she questions what is going on with one. We havehad pets for 60 years all over the world but never any Veterinarian as good as Dr. Palma. I simply cannot say enough good things. My mom went to Circle of Life for 4 years until theymoved away and upon moving back has resumed seeing Dr Palma. I have been going for 9 years. You will get time and attention. She will take the time to address your concerns and answer questions and you simply won't feel rushed. They will put emergency cases ahead of you. This is a positive. I want my fur kids seen first if they are emergent. You will get options and reasonable expectations. Dr. Palma understands that with any treatments there are time and financial commitments and that depending where we are in our lives, we can't always take those one. And she will NEVER judge you or make you feel guilty for not doing every possible treament for your beloved pet. She realizes they are part of our family. She is honest. She is compassionate. They whole staff is amazing. I have lost 2 pets under different circumstances. When we moved from Miami, we started going to Dr Palma for all of our pets. Our 12 year old Golden Retriever had always had chronic ear problems. Dr. Palma diagnosed and corrected this issue almost instantly. We now bring our three cats, Reeses, Mimo and Grady to this office as well. The staff always greets us with a warm smile and they genuinely care for our animals. Grady has now gained 8 pounds since we found him 7 months ago. He weighed 3 lbs and was very ill. After almost losing my dog to undiagnosed liver shunts, we began seeing Dr. Palma to proceed with the best treatment and lifestyle for him. She was absolutely amazing to have by our side through the tough times as she not only worked with us in clinic, but went above and beyond working with specialists around the country to ensure the best treatment for him. She is very knowledgeable about almost anything, but also humble and will admit if she is not 100% sure about something. She will then proceed to research and call any specialist she needs to make sure her patient receives the best care possible. One of my cats had a horrible injury to his eye and the emergency vet suggested having it removed but also told us we should see a Vet. The next day I went to the closest Vet I could find, without looking at reviews, without asking family and friends who they use and that was the best decision I ever made for my animals. Dr. Palma was able to save his eye and I have continued to bring my animals to see her years later because I know, without any doubt, she will give them the best care possible. Recently that cat passed away and Dr. Palma was kind enough to send a sympathy card and advised that she read the emergency notes and believes we made the best decision possible for our cat. Having a Vet take the time out of their day to not only read the notes of an emergency visit but to send a sympathy card shows how caring and compassionate Dr. Palma really is. Dr. Palma is both compassionate and skilled at every aspect of her job and the other doctors i have worked with are just as thoughtful, intelligent and passionate about their work as well. The staff have been there for years and we wouldn't pick another office for care of our furry family ever. My family has been going there for quite some time. She now treats my dog who has a chronic condition and they are always wonderful. They are also right across the street from an emergency clinic that can be used in conjunction with Circle of life if needed. I recently had to do this with my little dog and was apprehensive at first but they put my fears at ease with how much they worked together. I wouldn't trust my little Boston Terrier with anyone else! While living out of state, I have been to several other veterinarian offices before. All of them paled in comparison to Dr Palma and Circle of Life. It wasn't until I moved back to Florida and started bringing my little one in to Circle of Life that she started making a ton of progress in her recovery from knee surgery. Dr Palma knew just what to do to help my dog with the healing process and ease her pain, and my worries. She was the only one that showed genuine caring and had the knowledge and expertise to help. All the other veterinarians that I had previously been to were of no help at all, they just said her knee would get better over time even though it wasn't.
